Unable to ping IP address from SG300 -10p switch

i have two core switches, we have configured the vlan 70 in both core switch
sh run int vlan 70 --ip address: 182.94.177.34/28
configured the HSRP in both routers.
we have configured port in vlan 77 in access switch 4507R-E , we are able to ping the ip address.
again we have installed on Cisco SG300 10p switch case cading to Cisco 4507R-E access switch.
we have give below commands
switch manangement IP :
switch38cbaf(config)int vlan1
switch38cbaf(config-if)#ip address 124.4.67.47 255.255.255.0
switch38cbaf(config)#vlan database
switch38cbaf(config-if)vlan 70
switch38cbaf(config)#int gigabitethernet1
switch38cbaf(config-if)#switchport mode access
switch38cbaf(config-if)#switch access vlan 77
Trunk Configuration
switch38cbaf(config)#int gigabitEthernet9
switch38cbaf(config-if)#description << Trunk | connected to access switch 4507R-E | Fa4/1 >>
switch38cbaf(config-if)#swtichport mode trunk
switch38cbaf(config-if)#switchport trunk allowed vlan 77
problem:
i am assigned the ip address 182.94.177.44 to  our desktop and connected to port Gi1
I am able to ping 182.94.177.33, 34 and 35 Ip Address but unable to ping 182.94.177.44

Some things to check/verify -
a) is there a typo in your configuration above ie. you have created vlan 70 according to your configuration but the actual vlan you are using is vlan 77
b) does the trunk link between the access 4500 and the core switch allow vlan 77
c) try pinging from the client and not to it as there may be a firewall on the PC.

  • APs unable to receive IP address from DHCP (core 6500 series switch)

    Dear Friends,
a week ago I had stable wireless network APs were getting IPS from 6500 series switch (DHCP) but unfortunately some WISM got rebooted and now APs are unable to receive IP address from Core 6500 DHCP, to cater this issue  I have another DHCP server configured on windows 2008  i created another subnet and and put APs in that vlan now all APs are are successfully receiving IPS from windows DHCP server I don't know why APs are not able to receive IPs from core 6500 series DHCP.
    please advice

    Hi,
WIFI stopped working after I woke the computer up, now says connected to the network but not the internet, all other coputers and devices connected still with no problems, have pinged IP address from router and got the message "4 packets sent none received"... Help
I have tried network diagnostics which doesnt help... The only other ting is, when I woke the computer up it said tat another device was using my IP... My wife had plugged her phone into the computer to charge etc but even when i turn wifi off on the phone there is no change... also in settings on the phone the IP address is different...

The answer to your question is - neither!
Your PC should to configured to obtain an IP address automatically, and to obtain DNS server IP addresses automatically, from the Airport Express. This is the way Windows (and Macs for that matter) are configued by default, and that is the way most people have their computers set up. If you manually configured your PC's IP address to be the same as your wife's Mac, it certainly explains why your PC is not able to access the internet.

  • SG300-10P switching problem

    Hello
I have a Synology disk on port 4 on my SG300-10P switch and my computer on port 6 both on the VLAN 1, the only VLAN on my switch. Accessing this disk with the IP address is slow and data transfer to the disk is slow as well. So I traced the route (Administration > Traceroute)
to the disk and found that it is looping outside to the router and back to the switch. How can I get the switch to access the disk directly?
    Thanks in advance
    Leo

Hi Leo, there shouldn't be a reason the packets are being sent to the default gateway if you're on the same subnet and the same vlan.
Are you using the loca IP address of the Synology disk or are you trying to hairpin (using the WAN ip address instead of local IP address)?

  • Clients not receiving DHCP IP address from HREAP centrally Switched Guest SSID

    Hi All,
I am facing a problem in a newly deployed branch site where the Clients are not receiving DHCP IP address from a centrally switched Guest SSID. I see the client status is associated but the policy manager state is in DHCP_REQD.
The dhcp pool is configured on the controller itself. The local guest clients are able to get DHCP and all works fine, the issue is only with the clients in the remote site. The Hreap APs are in connected mode. Could you please suggest what could be the problem. Below is the out of the debug client.

  • Unable to get ip address from DHCP server for Aironet 1130AG Access Point

I have a network in which DHCP server is enabled. I have read the installation guide also there it is mentioned that 1130G Access point will not have any staic ip assigned to it.So it will automatically get the ip from the DHCP server from the network. I have connected that from the network but it is unable to get the ip address from the same. The same thing i have configured in the netgear it is coming fine. I have seen the sonic wall and used the IPSU tool also from checking the ip address from Mac Address but i am not able to get the same. Please provide me some tips to check where i am wrong in configuration because the first web page also not coming because of the ip address.

    narendra,
I would suggest that the AP be connected to a laptop or desktop pc that would run a local dhcp server with a small scope setup...plenty of free ones on the web(this pc would obviously not be connected to your currnet network). This way you can watch the dhcp server hand the AP it's address (this can take a few minutes). Once you have the address use it to access the GUI and give the AP a static address (I find it good pratice to give all my autonomous AP's static addresses for ease of troubleshooting)...Hope that helps.

  • Unable to extract bcc address from incoming mail

    Hello all,
1>i am facing problem in extracting BCC address from incoming mails .
2>when i am trying sending mails in BCC address to otherdomain i am preety successful but when i try sending BCC on my own domain i am not able to receive it and hence extract bcc address.
Please ,if any of u guys have solution for my problem ,reply immediately.
    bobby

    From RFC2822.
The "Bcc:" field (where the "Bcc" means "Blind Carbon Copy") contains addresses of recipients of the message whose addresses are not to be revealed to other recipients of the message. There are three ways in which the "Bcc:" field is used. In the first case, when a message containing a "Bcc:" field is prepared to be sent, the "Bcc:" line is removed even though all of the recipients (including those specified in the "Bcc:" field) are sent a copy of the message. In the second case, recipients specified in the "To:" and "Cc:" lines each are sent a copy of the message with the "Bcc:" line removed as above, but the recipients on the "Bcc:" line get a separate copy of the message containing a "Bcc:" line. (When there are multiple recipient addresses in the "Bcc:" field, some implementations actually send a separate copy of the message to each recipient with a "Bcc:" containing only the address of that particular recipient.) Finally, since a "Bcc:" field may contain no addresses, a "Bcc:" field can be sent without any addresses indicating to the recipients that blind copies were sent to someone. Which method to use with "Bcc:" fields is implementation dependent, but refer to the "Security Considerations" section of this document for a discussion of each. When a message is a reply to another message, the mailboxes of the authors of the original message (the mailboxes in the "From:" field) or mailboxes specified in the "Reply-
To:" field (if it exists) MAY appear in the "To:" field of the reply since these would normally be the primary recipients of the reply. If a reply is sent to a message that has destination fields, it is often desirable to send a copy of the reply to all of the recipients of the message, in addition to the author. When such a reply is formed, addresses in the "To:" and "Cc:" fields of the original message MAY appear in the "Cc:" field of the reply, since these are normally secondary recipients of the reply. If a "Bcc:" field is present in the original message, addresses in that field MAY appear in the "Bcc:" field of the reply, but SHOULD NOT appear in the "To:" or "Cc:" fields.
Bottom line is that bcc fields "should" only contain one address (if any) by the time it is delivered to the recipient. You cannot, with any degree of certainty expect to be able to get a list of e-mail addresses from a bcc field that a bad SMTP implementation may leave lying about.

  • Unable to get IP address from DHCP since upgrading

    Hi all,
I upgraded my machine to Mountain Lion last night. Ever since then I have been unable to get any IP information using DHCP. Each time I hit Renew Lease within the Network control panel I just get back a self assigned IP address. If I look in the system logs I see the following generated each time my machine tries to look for the DHCP server:
    Jul 26 01:32:27 Lightning.local configd[22]: bootp_session: bind port 68 failed, No route to host
    Jul 26 01:32:27 Lightning.local configd[22]: bootp_client_open_socket: S_get_bootp_socket() failed, No route to host
    Jul 26 01:32:27 Lightning.local configd[22]: bootp_client_bind_socket_to_if(en1, 6): session socket isn't open
    Jul 26 01:32:27 Lightning.local configd[22]: bootp_session_transmit: neither bpf nor socket send available
    Jul 26 01:32:27 Lightning.local configd[22]: bootp_client_bind_socket_to_if(en1, 0): session socket isn't open
    Jul 26 01:32:28 Lightning.local configd[22]: bootp_session_delayed_close(): socket is already closed
I've tried rebooting, clearing the PRAM, deleting Prefs, etc, but nothing seems to have worked.
Anyone any ideas what is going on or what else to try? It used to work perfectly before I upgraded.
    Thanks

I am also having this problem since I upgraded to Mountain Lion. I did an upgrade from Lion, not a clean install. I had done a clean install of Lion though. In my case, the network connection is working most of the time, but it is droping one a day. Deactivating the Ethernet and the Wi-Fi adapters and reactivating them does not help.
Here is my what I am getting in the console when I have lost internet connection and I try to renew the DHCP lease:
2012-08-30 6:13:59.158 PM configd[17]: bootp_session: bind port 68 failed, No route to host
    2012-08-30 6:13:59.158 PM configd[17]: bootp_client_open_socket: S_get_bootp_socket() failed, No route to host
    2012-08-30 6:13:59.158 PM configd[17]: bootp_client_enable_receive(en0): failed
    2012-08-30 6:14:00.158 PM configd[17]: bootp_session_delayed_close(): socket is already closed
And I get a self assigned IP.
I hope Apple will have a fix for this soon!
    Cheers!

  • SQL Cluster - Unable to obtain IP Address from System Center IP Pool

    Hi everyone,
we are trying to deploy a SQL cluster into a windows azure pack tenant cloud.
    Our azure pack environment contains:
    - 4X Hyper-V server in a failover cluster
    - 1X SCVMM server
    - multiple WAP server
    Steps we have done:
    -    Windows failover cluster is installed and configured successfully
    -    Quorum disk was configured successfully
    -    SQL server 2014 installation (via static IP) is successfully. But routing between the VMs is not possible.
    -    SQL server 2014 installation (via DHCP) fails at the end of the installation with following error:
-> We used DHCP to obtain an IP from the scvmm IP pool.

We have tried to reinstall the servers multiple times, without result.
Can anyone assist us in this case?
    Thanks

    Hi Darryl,
    thanks for your supply.
We don't have an DHCP in the Cloud. System Center DHCP is used for assigning IP addresses and routing inforamtion to the vms.
This works fine for assigning IP addresses to the vms.
At my current point of understanding network virtualisation with system Center, we do not have an alternative to this way of assigning IP addresses.
    Kind Regards

  • Unable to get IP address from DHCP

    hi all,
I have a AP1131 which cannot get IP from DHCP server. I have tried to configure static IP address and controller IP by lwapp command and the AP can successfully joined the controller. However, after I changed it to DHCP in WLC, it cannot get IP address and all lwapp config is gone. It cannot join the controller anymore only after I reset it and configure a static IP for it. The following error message appears after I changed it to DHCP in the WLC:
*Mar 7 08:44:36.511: RESETTING THE STATIC IP ADDRESS: LWAPP goes back to discovery
%WIDS-6-DISABLED: IDS Signature is removed and disabled.

Any expert has some idea on it?
    Thanks.

Is that AP on the same subnet as the other AP's? The thing is, when you configure the AP with static information, you say the AP is able to join the WLC. This means that there is no issue with the AP. Now when you set the AP to use DHCP and not static, the AP does not obtain a DHCP address? Is that correct? If you have more than one AP on the same switch and on the same vlan, and only one has an issue, then maybe reset that AP to default and see if that fixes it. I'm also assuming that the vlan is being forwarded and you have enough dhcp address in the scope.

  • HT2486 I am unable to print envelope addresses from address book

If removal has not helped, use Sysinternals tools to find the roots of virrus.
If nothing helps, restore good installation from backup. Hope you have a good backup.
It is very hard to cure virus infection remotely, even for "geinus".

  • Snow Leopard 10.6.4 and unable to get IP address from Wireless APs

I have a MacBook Pro with 10.6.4 and just recently ran into an issue in connecting to Wireless APs. Many of my corporate APs with WPA2, etc work great. I even have some great success at customers of mine with Cisco APs and open authentication (ie., Guest access).
However, I have been having alot of problems with generic APs (Linksys, etc.) For example, I have been in two hotels in the past week and I would connect to the AP, but I would only have a self assigned IP address. I have no problems at Starbucks.
I have tried to turn airport on and off, rebooting with no success. I have also disabled my firewall with no luck. The problem is very repeatable.
    What do you think?

You might try resetting your connection settings using the steps listed in this message:

They're not guaranteed to solve the problem, but they'll only take a minute or so to try.

  • LMS 4.1 user tracking does not pull ip address from hosts on switches

New install discovered router and switches at same location with no issues. However when running an acquisition on those switches most fields are populated except the ip address of end host associated with port. Mac address, port speed, etc. but no ip address info on per port basis. Any ideas, using snmp v3 if that makes a difference.
Sent from Cisco Technical Support iPad App

Thanks for this.  This really clarified things in my head.  I didn't realize that you were not seeing MACs in UT.  This is a new feature of LMS 4.1.  UT will show those ports that are up/up even if the MAC address cannot be determined.  The reason the MAC address cannot be determined is that your switch code is too old.  You need 12.2(25)SEE or higher to support SNMPv3 contexts necessary to poll MAC addresses.  If you upgrade, then configure the following for each VLAN context (seen in "show snmp context") then you should see those MACs (then IPs):
    snmp-server group v3group v3 context vlan-10

  • Configure VLANs on SG300-10P

    Hi,
I need help to configure the SG300-10P switch for the following:
port 9 connect to router (10.0.1.1) to internet
    Vlan 1 (default) 10.0.1.200: ports 1 - 4 & 10: use for PCs and IP phones
Vlan 2: 10.0.2.1: port 5, port 6, use for printers
Vlan 3: 10.0.3.1: port 7, port 8: use for security cameras
Vlan 1 & 3 can access internet but not vlan2
I've read many posts but still confused.  Please show me the required steps/commands to configure this.
    Thank you for your help.

Hi Nil, can you please tell me if your router supports 802.1q VLAN or subinterfaces? In order to assist you, we need to know what is the networking hardware involved.
