Unable to print, pages not selected.

I have reader XI and I get an error message saying unable to print pages not selected. the only things on the forum have been they same error with reader 9. I have tried all of those fixes with no luck. I have to open Acrobat with the Internet to print with is frustrating as I work with a proprietary software program that most of my reports come up in acrobat.
Please help.

PDFs on Reader will not print. I get a message "Pages not selected" but there is no way to select them.

Met with IT. tried to install a native driver (as opposed to a generic postscript). Same problem. There's a solution that sits outside of Acrobat... Mac OS X "Prevew", prints the doc flawlessly. I'm not sure what else to do. I've even tried some advanced settings to print as image, where it takes a long time to flatten each page, then print.. no pages will print. I'm inclined to say it's a memory issue between the Mac and this printer, but perplexed because there is no issue with "Preview"...

Deskjet 3070A on line and connected by PC says unable to print, as not connected - help please

I am on a laptop using Windows 7. I recently moved the printer to a different location. I have tried to print but to no avail. I have re-installed the CD and re-configured the wireless, restarted both printer and PC but no matter what, when I try to print, my PC comes up with the printer is offline error and will not print.
Can anyone help please?

Go to Control Panel > Printers and delete all old instances of the printer.
1. Make sure the printer is turned on and connected to your network. Verify that you can access the printer's internal web page by browsing to its IP address before continuing. Get its IP from a Network Test printed from the front panel of the printer.
2. Click >> Start >> Control panel >> Printers.
3. Click the Add a printer
4. Select Local printer
5. Select Create a new port and select Standard TCP/IP Port and click Next button.
6. Under Device type, select TCP/IP Device. Under Hostname or IP address, enter the printer's IP address. Click Next.
7. Select Hewlett-Packard from the list of manufacturers and select and select your printer model. Click Next.
If your printer model was not listed, then select Have Disk, browse the HP CD that came with your printer and select the first file that starts with hp and ends with inf. Click Open then OK. Select your printer model. Click Next.
8. If you are asked, use the currently installed driver.
9. It will ask for the Printer name -- enter a new name or use the existing one. This will be the name of the printer that you select from other applications.
10. You may be asked to share the printer. Choose NO.
11. The Print Test Page box appears. Go ahead and print it.
12. Click Finish.

I have an HP Officejet J4550 All-in-one printer that I had set p when I bought my new Acer system with Windows 7 installed and had no problem from the beginning to set-up the installation and have it running as My Default printer and has worked fine up until now ; when all of a sudden the system ;when I go to print a page/photo brings up the set-up - shows the printer as Default and then when I run PRINT...there is No page/photo printed out ? I have tried to run the Diagonistic software and shows the printer as Default and No problems and yet still delivers No Print out ? My system has had All up-dates automatically installed up till this point ...So I not being a Techie ,do not know what or where to look for help to resolve the issue next ? Anyone able to tell me what to look for to do or how to resolve the issue or do I need to just Un-install the printer and Re-set it up again ?? I have tried to look at all places on HP ;but it does not even show my older HP Officejet -J4550 - All-in One Printer ? Just keeps referring to HP Officejet -4550 ? Loooking for any answers ! I'd like to help. For now, I would hold off on the uninstall and reinstall. Can you answer some questions?
Is the printer connected by USB, Ethernet or wireless?
Do you get any error messages?
Does a blank page come out or do no pages come out when you try to print from the computer?
If you put a document face down on the scanner glass, are you able to make a photocopy?
Can you estimate the ink levels, in percent full for each cartridge, by looking at the printer ink gauge? Click Here
If you print a Self Test Report, do all of the colors print?

I also have avio laptop which i have no problem with printing on the same printer
I have checked internet option advance settings and both have the same boxes ticked
i have ticked and unticked boxes reset internet unstalled and reinstalled printer
I can save most pages to documents and then print from there this depends on whats in the page
The only thing that seem to make any difference was to untick the internet option security enable protection mode which would ineffect leave my computer vulnerable to attacks which is not advisible
would be very pleased to hear if this can be resolved

Script errors like this can happen with IE and while uncommon are not unheard of. With the print and scan doctor coming back fine we can move to troubleshooting the browser where the error originates. Unable to print pages directly from Internet.

I can print documents from my iPad without any difficulty, so it's not an issue of connectivity or compatibility. (I have the new Retina Display and the printer is a HP Photosmart 7520.) it's just if I need to print something off the Internet and a 'print' icon or some-such is shown on the webpage, it just doesn't work. (It will work on
the laptop, so the issue isn't with the printer.) Any ideas or suggestions?
(I have tried to copy it and paste it into Pages, but the formatting goes completely skew-whiff and it's such a hassle. Shouldn't be that difficult!)

If you are using Safari - and I assume that you are - clear Safari, restart the printer and the iPad and then try again. I have the same printer and as an experiment I just printed 5 pages for an Internet article.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear Cookies and Data. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Even though everything else is working, sometimes it helps to power cycle your router. Unplug it for about 30 seconds and plug it back in again.
If none of that works, reboot your iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

"choose file" in safari presented pages not selectable

Is there a setting that I need to be aware of in order to enable some choices on some safari presented pages?
The same choices for example the "choose file" option when uploading a resume on a job site?
There has been others ie text field that tapping on just aren't active and won't bring up the iPad keyboard.

The way the system operates on the iPad, does not allow to upload files via websites.
There is dedicated apps that can allow this and to send files is via the file sharing system, such as e-mail and via iTunes.
So when you come across a page at a website to upload a file, it will be dimmed out.

hi i am unable to print pages together. i mean to say when i try to print a pdf file containing more than 1 page. printer just print the last page and shut down.

Hello @arfgagan , welcome to the forums
I understand you are only able to print one page and the printer shuts down. This could be a hardware problem with the printer or perhaps an issue with the program you're printing from.
Try a power reset and ensure the printer is plugged in directly to the wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors. This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help greatly.
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
Afterwards, try printing from a couple different programs and let me know which programs you have tested and what the results were.
Also run the Print and Scan Doctor. This diagnostic tool will check for any conflicts that could be causing the issue. The tool will show you a report at the end. Send me a screen shot of the results.

I am using reader 11.0.10.32 in Win7 Professional 64 bit. I am unable to print from Reader. After selecting print all pages, the progress bar goes through the proper page count. After that a pop up window appears with the message: The document could not be printed. After pressing the OK button that pop up closes and the next pop up window appears with the message: There were no pages selected to print. After pressing the OK button, the pop up closes and the pdf document is still visible in Reader.
I can print from other programs to that printer. I can print from Reader to other printers.
I was able to print to all printers before. I uninstalled Reader and reinstalled it from the Adobe web site.
Any suggestions to make it print?

Pages does not select the default printer.

I have an IMac, 2.8 GHz, running version 10.6.5 connected to a Canon MX860. Under Print & Fax preferences, I list two printers. The first is Canon MX860 USB and the second is Canon MX860 Wireless. The default is set for the wireless. On all applications except "Pages", the default printer is the one selected. But, PAGES always selects the USB one. Is this a bug in PAGES, or is there something I can do?

Yvan, not wishing to incur your ire... I have a similar problem and went through pages of discussions generated by the search function. I cannot find a thread matched with exactly with what I believe to be the issue here. My default print setting is wireless and all apps respect that including Pages (Version 09) generic templates. However, when I print from a Pages template that I created, it always defaults to the USB connection of my printer - and I do not leave the USB cable plugged in. I have tried to modify the template by opening it, File, Page Setup, Attributes, Format for wireless printer - save template.... Yet it still defaults to the unconnected USB version of my printer. Even doing page set up and then trying to print immediately, it defaults to the USB version. My printer is HP Photosmart C4585.

T&E-Unable to edit/print expense report - Page not found or is unavailable

Hello Gurus!!
We have some of the users reporting that they are unable to edit/print the expense report. When they try to do that they are getting the error message "page not found or is unavailable". We verified that the URL for the PCD page parameter is being maintained correctly in the Homepage Area framework.
Could anybody please suggest what else could be wrong?
