this is what i get whenever i tried to renew my license . though it was working before installing vs2013 update 4 .
whats wrong? ive also reset all vs settings and uninstall and installed again but not working.:(

According to your description, you mean that when we create or open a windows store app and then you get the error message as the above mentioned, am I right?
If yes, first of all, I suggest you could try to check if you use a correct account to login in for this windows store app.
In addition, please try the following suggestions to check this issue.
(1) I suggest you could try to reboot your machine before acquiring the developer license.
(2) Besides you need to make sure that your network environment is fine for instance your network does not have proxy.

Unable to renew navigation license, Nokia 6600 Sli...

Please can anyone help,. I have a Nokia 6600 Slide with the latest software (V6.55). I was successfully using Nokia Maps GPS navigation having purchased a license key for UK/Ireland in January 2011. I have an external bluetooth GPS device. Howver, the Maps license key has now expired (as expected, it was a 1-year licence). Without a license I cannot use the voice-guided navigation function.
When I go throoug the phone menus to purchase a 1-year license again, I get to the menu that asks which payment method I wan to use (I select Visa). At this point the screen just refreshes, with no message or error code. I am not asked for payment card details. I cannot get past the "payment method" menu.
This process worked just fine for me in Jan 2011 when I first purchased a license, and other web browing functions using the built-in web browser are just fine. I have tried refreshing the Nokia software (It was already at V6.55, which is the latest level).
I would appreciate any hints or tips as I really miss my in-car GPS navigation.

OKm - so here is the fix !
Javascript was turned of in my phone browser. I turned on javascript and the problem was gone!

Unable to renew Minisap NSP license

I am unable to renew my license - the email I receive from [email protected] contains a key that looks like it's encrypted or something - it's about 300-400 bytes long. It's in an attachment to the email I get, named nsp.txt. I don't know if Outlook or McAfee has created that attachment, thinking the message was untrustworthy, or that's the way it was originally sent. I use to get an email with instructions for renewing the license - this message is empty except for a line of asterisks.
Here's what's in that attachment when i bring it up in Notepad:

I've tried using http://www.sap.com/technology/minisap for the renwe request, as well as another URL I found in a post elsewhere - both gave me the same results.

I was finally able to get the license installed. Here's how I did it:
1. Modifed the SAP profile file (search forums for "DVEBMGS00 and ssf/ssfapi_lib and
sec/libsapsecu" for the post that tells what needs to be changed)
2. Fired up SAP
3. Using transaction SLICENSE: specified "New License" and then pointed the transaction to the file ("nsp.txt" in my case) I received as a result of my NW04s renewal request.
(As an aside, I notice that the file reflects a 90-day end date - I wonder what would have happened if I had changed that file to show the year 2010 or something? Would I then have a quasi-permanent license? Inquiring minds want to know ...)

A query on Weblogic developer licenses

Hello,
Firstly I would ask your excuse if I am posting this in the wrong forum.
My organisation (s/w vendor) is planning to develop a j2ee project for one of our clients who would be using Weblogic 10 for deployment in Production. So naturally we would like to use Weblogic Server 10 in our development environment too. (otherwise we are quite happy with JBoss)
But we are not sure whether this means that we need to purchase development licenses from bea or whether the version available for download from the bea site can be used free of cost for development too.
I'll greatly appreciate if someone clarifies.

The license included with the WLS 10 installation grants you the right to use the product for development purposes at no charge. The license restricts scaling of applications by restricting the number of external connections to the server.
In order to obtain support, and additional licenses you may require for scaling testing, as a software vendor you should consider joining the BEA partner program. See the following:

Unable to get a case number to transfer a ColdFusion Builder 2 license from one developer to another developer.

I am trying to transfer a ColdFusion Builder 2 license from one developer who left the company to another developer. I filled out the transfer forms but I cannot find a way to log a case so I can include the case number. I tried to click on Chat and it keeps telling me that "Chat is unavailable right now". Does anyone know of a different way to initiate this process?

Well, last week I read about the confusion on this issue in ZDNet, and concluded that my best move would be to drop by the AT&T store here. The counter rep called AT&T and got a person who hadn't heard of this, but said he'd try to do it anyhow. He reported after a while that my phone was "ineligible," although since it's been out of contract for four years, I believe it is.
The AT&T customer service man then attempted to transfer my store person to Apple. Having been given an Apple phone number, after ten minutes of "hold" time with Apple, we hung up and called that number. After ten minutes, Apple answered and said that while they sell unlocked iPhones, they NEVER unlock them for customers, and that we should call AT&T again. So my person called AT&T again, and after a long hold, got someone who started researching the problem. After 20 minutes or so, my person asked the AT&T customer service person if I could leave the store and have her call me when some resolution. A half an hour later, she said that AT&T was working on it and that it might take at least a couple of weeks!

How does one renew the developer license

I have been trying to update my windows but failed, so i decided to restore my pc....now most of my applications cant open and say that i must go to window store. when i go to window store it says that "your developer license has expired. to continue
using this appl please renew your license". i have tried looking but cant find were i'm suppose to renew the license. Please help.

The developer license is needed to install and run development packages while writing and testing an app.
It is not needed for aps downloaded from the store. If you are seeing it there then there is something wrong with your system. Please ask on the Windows 8.1 forum on

You don't need a developer license for apps from the store. Only for apps that you are developing or testing.
If you're getting this message for published apps then there is something wrong with your system. The folks on
http://answers.Microsoft.com would be better able to help with system configuration issues.
When you post there please be clear that you are having trouble running published apps and not having trouble with developing your own apps.

From Windows 8 refresh screen: "Apps from Windows Store will be kept. Apps you installed from discs or websites will be removed." and documentation says that "The apps that came with your PC or you installed from Windows Store will be reinstalled, but any apps you installed from other websites and DVDs will be removed. You'll find a list of the removed apps on your desktop after refreshing your PC." (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/restore-refresh-reset-pc)
Since you installed Windows 8, it looks now as a fresh Windows 8 installation. Well... It removed all the apps installed, of course. Seems you got rid of some crapware.
But you will have to reinstall drivers (if required, shouldn't be too many: Synaptics UltraNav, Hotkey/Onscreen, Active Protection System, Realtek PCIE Card Reader... all the others should be detected already automatically by now). And of course you will have to reinstall all your software.
I'm afraid there is not much more help to be given. It worked as it was intended to.

SP2013 - Unable to Debug/Deploy from VS2013/VS2012

I've been working on this issue for a while and troubleshooted from every angle I can think.   Can someone please help me squash this so I can get back to
work?
Problem:
I’m receiving very generic errors when trying to deploy/debug either an SP2013 App project or Web Part project from VS2013 or VS2012. I’m leaning towards this being a permissions related error even though I’ve granted myself Admin to almost every layer.
What I’ve tried so far:
VS is running as Administrator
I’m a Local Admin, SharePoint Farm Admin, Site Collection Administrator (on the root site as well as the App Catalog site collection), SPShellAdmin
I’m a DBO on all SP Content DBs as well as a sysadmin
I’m using the hosts file IP redirect (Custom Host Header fix)
I’ve tried from both VS 2012 and 2013 (both installed on the SP dev box)
I’ve added my user to the User Policy Permissions for the Web Application with Full Control
The App Management and Subscription Settings Service Applications are configured and running
The App Prefix has been configured

The license is for the Developer not the machine it is run on However there could be soma issues with trying to develop on a public machine.
The biggest is does the library machine have or will they let you install and run Xcode and if you are developing for IOS will they let you plug in your devices?
In addition will they allow you the hours needed on the machine? Most public machines have a time limit especially if there are others waiting to use it.
All-in-all in can be done but it won;t be an easy situation.

Unable to renew the SAP NetWeaver ABAP 7.02 Trial Version license

My license for SAP NetWeaver ABAP 7.02 Trial Version has expired and I was trying to renew the license the other day. I was able to install the new license but, unfortunately, I were not able to delete the old licence not activate the new one.
I logged on with user: SAP* to install the new license and it was installed successfully. When I do try to delete the old one the system gives this error message: " Only the administrator is allowed to delete licenses. When the valid system license has expired, only the user SAP* can log on to the system. in this case, it would be dangerous to delete a license.
This is why the user SAP* is never allowed to delete a license."
Anybody can assist me with the license renewal please ?!

Confused if i need the enterprise DPS along with enterprise license from Apple

Do I need to buy the Enterprise DPS if I already have a Enterprise developers license with Apple? I want to develope in-house apps with indesign but everywhere i read no body gives a straight answer.
I have "creative cloud membership" which includes a single edition DPS already so I have single edition DPS now. I want to build an app using indesign and dps but host it on my own server. Can I do this with my single edition along with my enterprise developer licnese from Apple? Or do I have to buy the enterprise DPS to go along with my enterprise developers license from Apple?

You will need an Enterprise DPS account along with the Enterprise Apple account. There is nothing ambiguous about this.
And you really need to read Apple’s license very carefully about private distribution. They are very strict about anything not going through the app strore.

I've a custom report in which i need to display a large string, of more than 4000 characters. To cater to this requirement i've written a formula column which displays string upto 4k characters and for a string of size beyond 4k i am calling a procedure which uses a temp table having a clob field.
For a small string the report runs fine but whenever a large string requirement comes into the picture, said procedure gets triggered and i get REP-0002: Unable to retrieve a string from the Report Builder message file.

1) Check that the user running the report has execute permissions on any stored

TestStand Deplyment Error- Error: Unable to locate all subVIs from saved VIs because a subVI is missing

Hi,
I am a Systems and Software Engineer based in Vancouver. I developed an automated test system using LabVIEW 2013 and TestStand 2013 with custom operator interface.
I encountered 'missing VIs' problem which is kind of weird because I passed analyzing the sequence for both TestStand Sequence Editor and TestStand Deployment Utility >> Distrubuted Files Tab.
But when I tried building the installer and reaching the point 'Calling distribution VIs, it always throw an error saying 'An error occurred while trying to read the depencies of the VIs, possible because the VIs are not saved in the current version of LabVIEW. Do you want to save any modified now?'. I tried both cases (i.e. Yes and No) for this option but it did not solve the issue.
This is part of the original error message displayed in TestStand Deployment Utility:
While Processing VIs...
Error: Unable to locate all subVIs from saved VIs because a subVI is missing or the VI is not saved in the current version of LabVIEW.
The call chain to missing VIs:
1 - ATE_AccelerometerTest.vi
2 - CreateAndMergeErrors.vi (missing)
3 - LogControl_CheckForErrorSendUpdates.vi (missing) "
All missing VIs are coming from userlib.
Actions Done:
- Analyzed sequence file using TestStand Sequence Editor and TestStand Deployment Utility
- Verified 'Search Directories' include all necessary files/dependencies.
- Mass compile the directory of the missing VIs
- Added all needed files and folders in the workspace file.
The result is still the same based from the actions done.
The last debugging I did earlier is that I tried locating the sequence and steps of missing VIs as mentioned above (e.g. ATE_AccelerometerTest.vi)
and I found out that the step seems to be an empty action step. Would this be possible even if it already passed the analysis?
Other considerations include:
I am using LabVIEW 2013 sp1 and TestStand 2013. We tried building from three (3) computers and we only succeeded once to a freshly-installed comptuer.

Hi All,
We were able to resolve the issue. First to note is that the release notes in TestStand 2013 is outdated and we confirmed from NI Engineer in Austin that TestStand 2013 works fine with LabVIEW 2013 SP1.
Secondly, we played around TestStand Deployment option that resolved the issue. Attached are the images.
We just enabled the 'Remove Unused VI Components'. It could be one of the libraries (lvlib) we included in the build but we haven't figured it out yet because we verified that all VIs are working. It could be also something else that I think very difficult to find based from the information. However, if anybody experienced the same issue, this could be helpful.
Again, we revert back in using TestStand 2013 and LabVIEW 2013 SP1.
