Unable to set Attribute of Media file(Import as custom link) on link panel?

When I import media file as custom link using link architecture than GetLongResourceName and GetShortResourceName method of resource handler are not called but other method of resource handler get call during placing of media file due to this I am not able to set custom name and path of media file.same case working fine in case of image and pdf.

It seems to show up when a war file has too many portlets, i believe its a display profile issue. Is the number of porlets a parameter?, any idea will be extremely useful, otherwise i would have to migrate to jboss or apache.

Illustrator won't run: "unable to set maximum number of files to be opened"

I have an intel macbook pro (core duo with 2GB ram) and a copy of purchased adobe creative suite 2. Other applications in the suite like photoshop, acrobat, etc can run on my mac without any problem. But when I try to run illustrator, it just shows an error message "Unable to set maximum number of files to be opened" and quits. I also installed a trial version of illustrator cs3 and got the same problem. Can anyone help? Thanks.

MDG File Import for Custom Object

Unable to set breakpoint in UIX file

I am trying to set a breakpoint in a uix file (within the xml itself ) and I receive an error. The breakpoint looks like it gets set in jDeveloper but the error displayed is:
Unable to set breakpoint ( searchRequest.uix ), unable to resolve Jave Package.
Can you not set breakpoints in the uix file itself? If not where should I look to set the breakpoint?

More information: I have debug turned on in the uix_config.xml. I can see where it gets to the eventhandler named "goQuery"

It looks like the forward "query" is never executed and when executing the submit, it resets the page. I would like to step through this to see what is occurring so that I can correct whatever is happenning. But not know where to set break points in the uix page is frustrating.

Media editor - Browse media files from a custom location

Hi,
I am using media banner cartridge, which provides a media editor for choosing media files. The media files have to be in Endeca\Apps\<application>\config\media folder for me to browse the media files from media editor. Is there a way to change this location to some other custom location say doc root of my webserver ?

I had earlier read through the documentation for storing media assets directly in MDEX. However, what i understood is that it would require a separate MDEX instance (the document calls it media MDEX engine) and thereby additional licenses. Is my understanding correct? I was very keen on the MDEX approach earlier as there are limitations with ECR (wrt to # of media files and size). If the MDEX approach wont require additional instance, then certainly that is the approach i would take. Kindly advise.

"Unable to set maximum number of files to be opened." in CS6, on two computers

I continue to get this message on my CS6 Illustrator install, and it prevents the launch of the software

But I am intentionally double posting as:
There has been nothing from an Adobe rep on this subject in a while.
The other post has "trial" in the heading and I don't want that to be a distraction from the issue. This is happening on paid versions of the software.
I want to be clear that it is happening on two machines
Neither machine has ever had the SMART whiteboard software installed on it
Neither machine appear to have any of the terminal-accessible files that apparently effect this sort of thing
One of the two machines is essentially a clean OS install and only has Adobe & MS software on it
This problem happens intermitantly, sometimes showing up and sometimes not. A restart is required to even have a chance of not experiencing the issue.
This problem needs a real solution from Adobe.

edit the “launchd.conf” file which is located in /etc directory.
1.) Go to finder
2.) Go to the Go Menu at the top of the screen
3.) Scroll to “Go to Folder…
4.) When the pop-up box comes up, type /etc
5.) locate the “launchd.conf” file, open it in TextEdit. The entry that is causing the problem is the “limit maxfiles” line. If you remove that line and restart your machine the problem will be fixed. If you remove the whole file, your SmartBoard preferences will be lost, apparently, but I didn’t verify this.
6.) Restart your computer.
Once you restart, Illustrator should launch without any problems.
also if It gives issue while editing i had made a copy on the desktop and then deleted the copy inside the ETC folder
and it launched the illustrator and solved this issue

Illustrator CS4 problem loading: unable to set max files...

Haven't opened AI CS4 in a few months. Used to load just fine. Today it crashes when loading and I get this error message: 'Unable to set maximum number of files to be opened.' I'm running OS 10.4.11 on a MacBook. The rest of the CS4 suite opens just fine. I have already removed the preference file for Illustrator out of the user library and also removed the 'com.adobe.illustrator.plist' file. Restarted computer. Still can't open the program.

Satellite C50-A-15L: unable to play music or video files via media player

Hi all
I am having problems with my media player and explorer functions all of a sudden - it seems to have occured after a recent 'important update' (always causes more issues than fixes).
Anyway, since this update, I have been unable to play any music or video files via the media player or cut and paste any items when sorting files out.
All fine previously, but now when I highlight and click 'cut', the timer cuts in and the window goes straight to 'not responding'. Drag and drop works OK, then going back to delete files.
As for media files, double click one and no response, right click and 'open', again, nothing...
Anyone else experienced similar problems?

From my point of few you have no problems with notebook but with Microsoft system.
"Hotmail" isnt Toshiba product.
If you have problems login the Hotmail account, you should contact the Microsoft support for help.
By the way: you can always set the system back to early time point before you received any updates.
Windows 8 creates a restore point for you automatically during Windows Updates and other system maintenance events.
Open charm bar (Win key + c), choose Apps and search for Restore Point. Then click on Settings. On the left hand side you will see the option called Create a restore point.
New window would open. Within the System Protection tab choose System restore.
Clicking on Next would lead to next step where you could restore the computer to the sate it was before the selected event (windows update).

Hi I am not trying to change any setting. I am trying to increase the size of the volume. I understand in case of a Snapmirrored volume the fs_fixed options is ON.But one can always increase the actual volume size using vol size command. Even if I increase the size on ONTAP on the file system side it will show as the size same as source. I understand that. So my question is why is it prevenitng me from increasing the size. In your ejb-jar.xml you are referring to a method saveActionGroup(EditableActionGroup) which is not defined in your remote interface.
Maybe you have made some typo in the configuration. Check your transaction section, i.e.,

                <method-name>saveActionGroup</method-name>
                <method-params>
                    <method-param>package.EditableActionGroup</method-param>
                </method-params>
            </method>

Unable to set import lock for software component version

While importing object (.tpz) file into integration repository we are getting error message as below.

We checked with the user and found he is not doing any activity in fact he logged off. the developer wants to import and how do we terminate this import attement and proceed with new importing of the same object
We wan't to avoid cache refresh as this is production environment
We already performed clear SLD data cache with in the IR not for whole.

Error 0xBFF69011 - "Unable to get attribute" when saving current camera settings to file

I get an Error 0xBFF69011 - "Unable to get attribute" when attempting to save current camera setting to file with MAX. I was not able to save a single time, hence the settings the camera came with out of the box are still active.
Camera: Basler acA2500-14um
Camera firmware: 106215-05;U;acA2500_14u;V1.0-8;0
Driver: NI-IMAQdx USB3 Vision device
MAX version:5.4
IMAQdx version: 4.2
Does anyone know what causes this error or how I can modify the camera settings and save the modifications to file?

Yes, the 1.0 Basler firmware released after IMAQdx 4.2 exposed this specific problem. This has been addressed in Vision Acquisition September 2013 (13.1) which includes IMAQdx 4.3. There should have been a public KB created for this issue but I do not see it yet...

FCPX stalled upun importing media files!

I tried reinstalling Mavericks, tried unsuccessfully to erase my hard drive but the point is I am unable since a Software update to use my FCP to import media files into the library. It will spin forever and I close it. Very frustrating!

There should be an option to take no action in the list of possible actions to take. Towards the bottom there should also be an option to set it permanently that way so no action is taken every time you connect the iPod.
Do you see anything of that sort?
