just check the env file for the user who is starting or running that.
say if it is cshell, you can see the following variables in the .cshrc which will be under the user's home directory
    setenv JAVAHOME  WS_Root/jdk
    setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH  WS_Root/lib: /libnow source that file
    source .cshrcthen start the webserver.

  • Unable to start sun java web server 6.1 SP4

    Hi,
I have recently installed sun java web server 6.1 SP4 on solaris 10. The directory structure it created was completely different from the one mentioned in the documentation. I could not find the https-adminserv directory under the web server root directory. Instead the closest directory was bin/https/httpadmin/bin directory. On executing ./start it gave an error
ld.so.1: start: fatal: libssl3.so: open failed: No such file or directory
    Killed
    Any help is welcome. Thanks.
I had not installed the webserver in the standard location /opt/SUNWwbsrvr but in /BCP partition.

also, you can do something like
    cd https-admserv
    sh -x start
this will show as to what is the current LD_LIBRARY_PATH is pointing to and why ssl3.so is not getting loaded.
    if you don't see
https-* under web server install root directory, then something wrong with your installation as well.
yes, if u stand alone version of web server, then you shouldn't run into any dependencies issue. u can also get 6.1 sp6 version from web - http://www.sun.com/webserver

  • Accessing JMS Queue located in stand alone managed server on same domain

    Our use-case is as follows.
In our weblogic domain we have SOA_Cluster and a stand alone managed server. All the custom JMS resources belong to a JMS server that is targeted to stand alone JMS server. We are trying to access JMS Queues/Topics located in the stand alone managed server from JMS adapter (part of SOA Cluster).
I am wondering what should be our adapter configuration in this scenario. In going through JMS adapter use-cases (below is the link), there is a mention of how to access resources located in Remote weblogic Domain. I am wondering if the same applies to us OR if there is better way to access JMS resources for our use case.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/integration.1111/e10231/adptr_jms.htm#CJAHAFGF
    Appreciate your feedback.

    Hi Deepak,
    Thanks for Reply.
But in /home/sapcs/conf/http.conf file its already maintained like this, sending you some part of httpd.conf file
Listen: Allows you to bind Apache to specific IP addresses and/or # ports, instead of the default. See also the #<VirtualHost> # directive.
Change this to Listen on specific IP addresses as shown below to  prevent Apache from glomming onto all bound IP #addresses.
    Listen 1090
User/Group: The name (or #number) of the user/group to run httpd as.
It is usually good practice to create a dedicated user and group for
running httpd, as with most system services.
    User sapcs
    Group sapsys
    </IfModule>
    </IfModule>
even after restarting server i am getting same problem
    [sapcs@hpsebdev1 bin]$ apachectl start
(13)Permission denied: make_sock: could not bind to address [::]:80
(13)Permission denied: make_sock: could not bind to address 0.0.0.0:80

  • Reports server: cannot start stand-alone servers

I have 9iAS 9.0.2.0.1 on RedHat Linux AS. When I try to create/start a new reports server (using rwserver.sh), I get "REP-50001: Server is initializing", but it never starts. My in-process server works, but I can't create any additional servers.
I've made the changes suggested in MetaLink Doc ID 214310.1. But, I still cannot start a stand-alone server.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

The problem was with vncserver. Once I started it with
"vncserver :15 -nolisten local -httpd ${VNC}/classes -cc 3", it started up.

  • BW report without stand alone BW server

    Hi Experts,
My query is about basic understanding of the System Landscape for using BW reports. Basically, There is a requirement to use BW reports on stand-alone SRM 5.5 server. Installation guide of SRM suggests that we can install BI 7.0 "content" along with SRM 5.5 server.
The question- Is it possible use BW reports just by installing BI content on SRM server?
Further I would really like to know, if the answer of above question is YES, then what are the prerequisites for it and if 'NO' then what is the BI content's role in SRM server?
    Thanks in advance
    Regards,
    Amit

    Hi Amit,
According to my knowledge, you can build up all in one server. But the most important thing is about client. the BW client have to be different from the others.
And their are 2 main application component that related to BW. there are SAP_BW and BI_CONT. this 2 Application component have to be build on the netweaver infrastructure.
    Regards,
Assign Point if you see its helpful,

    Thanks!!!!!

I think this might occur if you don't have the patch for SunAlert 46042 installed. There's more information on this critical Solaris security vulnerability, which was reported back in 2002, at http://sunsolve.central.sun.com/search/document.do?assetkey=1-26-46042-1
Can you run the following command to check if you have patch 109326-09 installed and let us know the result?showrev -p | grep 109326If you don't have 109326-09 or higher installed, you should install it as soon as possible. You can follow the link from the SunAlert. Better yet, install the latest Solaris 8 recommended patch cluster from http://sunsolve.sun.com/pub-cgi/show.pl?target=patches/patch-access to make sure your system is fully patched and up to date.

  • Unable to start/stop Personal Web Sharing

I do some web development, so I tried making the necessary changes to run PHP files via localhost. I followed various online articles by making some changes to the httpd.conf file, and then downloading MySQL and a later version of PHP (5.0). Since installing yesterday afternoon, I've been unable to start or stop Personal Web Sharing. Any ideas?
    Thank you.
    Nathan

Are you sure you got the proper version of each for your platform? Depending on which version you dowloaded it may not have been a universal bianary and you might be running ppc instead of x86 or vice versa. I wouldnt expect you to have broken apache if you made only the modifications you noted in your inital post - but perhaps if it was trying to load the php module and it was the worng platform it might through that error and prevent it fromt starting.. but normally whn php fails it jsut throws a warning and continues without it loaded (at least with Marc's automatic configuration). But thats the only thing i can think of.
    So next steps:
1.) Verify you are running the x86/PPC (or Universal) versions of PHP and MySQL (MySQL shouldnt really matter but since its one of the majorchanges before apache broke we'll look at it as well).
2.) on the command line run this command and post the output back here:
    <pre style="scrolling: auto; width: 90%;">httpd -V</pre>
3.) lets restore your old config:
    <pre style="scrolling: auto; width: 90%;">
    sudo cp /etc/httpd/httpd.conf /etc/httpd/httpd.conf.121906.bak
    sudo cp /etc/httpd/httpd.conf.default /etc/httpd/httpd.conf
    sudo apachectl start</pre>
And then post the ouput of the start command back here.

Got another thread - Unable to start managed server. for the right answer.
    Solution In all-
    1. Start your admin server
    2. Change the Listen Address of both Admin and Managed Server to "localhost" and save the settings
    3. Re-start the Admin Server
    4. Change the host file to cover "localhost" resolving address with an entry - 127.0.0.1 localhost
    5. Start the managed server - startManagedWeblogic UCM_server1 http://localhost:7001/
There is no problem in the boot.properties file, so no need to delete the existing security files.

  • Ias 60 sp2 -  install - error message during start up  of web server

    I am installing ias60 sp2 on solaris 2.6.
    I have following issues:
    (1)
While installing the ias 60 at the end of the installation while starting
the web server I got the following
    error message.
libthread panic: systhread_create():alloc_thread returns 0 (no mem) (PID:

    4 LWP 1)
    stacktrace:

    (2) I want to make the ias60 to communicate with the external web server.
But the 'setup' utility does not allow me to do the selective install. It
foreces the web server to be on the same machine as the appserver. I have
installed the iws41 web server and proceed with the installation. In the
installation doc it looks like by installing 'web connector' we can make the
ias communicate with the external web server. Since the setup utility does
not permit selective install how do i install the 'web connector' on the
external web server. I am using the ias60 test drive for the installation.
Is it a limitation on the 'test drive'.
I apprciate your suggestions on the above.
    Thanks

I'm not sure what the problem is with alloc_thread.
But, yes, the installer limitation is because you are using the TestDrive bits.
TestDrive is designed for ease of installation, and many of the installer
options are not available in TestDrive.

    * Go to [http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/java/jdk/aix/service.html|http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/java/jdk/aix/service.html]

    * You may have to create a soft links for sh (most probably only for Web Server 7 onwards)
    # cd java-home
    # ln -s bin sh
    # cd jre
    # ln -s bin sh* You may have to fix soft links in your JDK (especially links which point to /usr/java5/jre/bin) if your JDK is not installed on your local machine and you have copied that directory to another machine : for instance <JAVA-HOME>/bin/java should point to ../jre/bin/java rather than /usr/java5/jre/bin

    o Go to [http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/java/jdk/security/50/#sdkpol|http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/java/jdk/security/50/#sdkpol]
o Click on "IBM SDK Policy files" link i.e. [https://www14.software.ibm.com/webapp/iwm/web/preLogin.do?source=jcesdk|https://www14.software.ibm.com/webapp/iwm/web/preLogin.do?source=jcesdk]
o Downloaded "Unrestricted JCE Policy files for SDK 1.4" from that location (after login) [http://www6.software.ibm.com/.../unrestrict142.zip|http://www6.software.ibm.com/.../unrestrict142.zip]
o Unzip unrestrict142.zip file and replace the two jars (US_export_policy.jar and local_policy.jar) in appropriate places in JDK.
    Same steps for JDK 6.

Are you running iWS 6.0 without any service pack, if so please upgraded to iWS6.0SP3 since iWS6.0 as not
been certified with windows 2000 professional. And about JDK 1.4 also not been certified & tested with iWS 6.x.
