Unable to sync bought ringtones and songs!

A while back, I purchased a few ringtones and albums from iTunes. After syncing my phone with another laptop, a few songs and ringtones have disappeared. At the time of syncing, I did click on"transfer all purchases". I can see the ringtones in iTunes, but am unable to sync them. Please help!

When you go into your iPhone Settings>Sounds>Ringtones...what do you see? On mine...I have a list of "Purchased", "Custom" and "Standard". Do you have that?

    Out of the blue, all of my purchased ringtones and music aren't displayed anymore on my iPhone.
    I went to iTunes to see if they were stored there, but the downloads folder also appears to be empty. If I try to select a ringtone I've downloaded before, a popup appears saying that I've already purchased that item and asking if I want to cancel or buy. If I click on buy, then I pay for the item again even if I already have it! The only place I can still see my purchased items is in the iTunes application on my computer, but even though I've already selected sync, the ringtones and songs still won't appear on my iPhone.
    What happeneded and how can I get them back without having to pay for them all over again?

    I'm having the same problem on an iphone 4s running iOS8; when i updated to iOS8, all my ringtones went missing, and when i got a £50 gift card for christmas (2014), I purchased some songs from the iTunes store on my iPhone. i downloaded songs from paramore, panic! at the disco, coldplay, and imagine dragons, over wi-fi, and they went into my iphone music library; but when i re-opened the music app a few days later, in a place where i had no wi-fi, except for my 3G phone signal, some cloud icons appeared next to my newly purchased songs, telling me to re-download them from the cloud, when i haven't even deleted them. this has happened twice now, and i had to use up some of my 5GB data allowance to redownload them from the cloud. This is annoying and i need to fix this issue ASAP.

  • Unable to sync more than one song at a time

    Hello,
    I am unable to add more than 1 song at a time to my iPhone. Previously I was able to add some music by drag and dropping a whole playlist of about 15 songs. However, now when I drag and drop a playlist to the iPhone section in iTunes, iTunes and the phone identify that its syncing for a second or two and then it stops. The playlist shows up on the iPhone, but no songs are in it...I can only add 1 song at a time. I have tried multiple usb ports on my computer and I also tried using msconfig and disabling all 3rd party services per this article http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302538
    Still the same result. Please help.

    Did you by any chance uncheck the the boxes beside any or all of the songs in the library? Unchecked songs won't play in a playlist or the library unless you select them individually: iTunes: Understanding the Symbols Next to Songs
    Holding down the Control key and clicking the checkbox next to a song in the library or a playlist will toggle the marks for all the songs on or off: : iTunes 7 Keyboard Shortcuts for Windows

    Please disregard. I deselected sync ringtones, synced and then selected ringtones and synced. This was explained in another thread, but I guess I wasn't doing it right.

  • Unable to Sync i-Tunes and Apple TV

    Hello. I am writing about my inability to sync i-Tunes and Apple TV. I have read a variety of posts in this forum regarding other users' problems with the same issue and have been unable to solve my own based on recommendations, including exchanging my Apple TV for a new one at my local Apple store, which I did.
    My Apple TV is linked to my computer through a Linksys wireless router. The Apple TV is able to connect to the internet as demonstrated by its ability to download movie trailers, access YouTube, and get its software updated. It appears in my i-Tunes (version 7.5.0.20) devices list, but each time I click on sync, nothing happens. I get an error message about opening port 3689 because but that port is not blocked. I've shut down my TrendMicro "PC Cillin" firewall and the same message comes up.
    So in sum, the Apple TV can link out to the internet but not back to my i-Tunes. Both are running latest software versions. Here's the best part, before I moved a few months ago to my current home, both worked and communicated fine! After I moved and hooked everything back up the way it was, Apple TV didn't work the same (i.e., did not sync with i-Tunes). Thinking it was a problem with Apple TV, I exchanged it for a new one recently. But the new one has the same problem, so it's not the Apple TV unit.
    Any help would be much appreciated.

    I had the same problem. I doubt it is the firewall software on your cpu but rather then one on the router itself. On your linksys control panel, go to applications and on the port list enter 3689 to 3689, enter the ip address for your appletv (you can get it from the apple tv or from the DHCP client list under the status tab on the router). Click enable then update. Or, you can simply disable the firewall on the security tab of the router but I would not recommend this. Even after updating, I had to unplug the apple tv to reboot it and then it worked fine.

  • My sisters ipod touch was being registered to my itunes account and then itunes crashed at the final stage and now it wont give me an option to sync my apps and songs from my itunes to her ipod. What can i do?

    I have an iphone and it is obviously registered to my itunes so i have all my apps and music on it and my sister just got the new ipod touch and wants my apps and music and so i went to register it to my itunes to sync my music and apps to it just before her birthday but itunes crashed on one of the stages (the final stage i think) of registartion and so i had to close itunes and start it up again but it didnt give me the steps to register the ipod again and now when i connect it i go onto the ipod button and it is just blank with ipod written in the middle with no autofill buttons or sync buttons or any automatic fills and i cant drag music onto it either. Is there anything i can do?

    - You need to restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod and start anew.  Is the restore button visable in iTunes?  If it is they restore the iPod.
    - If it is not visible try resetting the iPod:
    Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
    button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - If the restore button is still not visable, try placing the iPod in recovry mode.  See:

  • My ipod won't sync some videos and songs to my ipod

    I have a 80gb ipod video and when I try to add some videos or songs to it, itunes pops up with an error message that says: "Attempting to copy to the disk failed. The disk could not be read from or written to." What can I do to solve this problem and get my videos and songs on to my ipod.

  • TS1347 I had to get a new hard drive on my laptop PC.  Now I am unable to sync my contacts and calendar from my iphone to the outlook software on my PC.  Although they are backed up on icloud, I really want the information on my computer.

    I cannot figure out how to sync my contacts and calendar from my iphone with my windows PC.  The message during the itunes sync process is that information is being backed up to both the cloud and my PC.  However the Outlook software remains blank.  What can I do??

  • Unable to sync mobile me and my laptop, Please help:)

    I've been having issues syncing my laptop and mobile me. I get the response that there are conflicting issues on my computer, which it's requiring me to resolve and then reset. I've made sure my system is up to date and I've even gone to the extent of erasing my ical on my computer so that I can reset my ical from the info located on the internet. But I'm still getting the message that I have conflicting issues. Which I don't understand because my ical on my computer is empty! I'm getting frustrated. Please help.

    Questions for you:
    So when you reset the sync data from MobileMe down to the computer, iCal remained blank and did not receive the calendars that are online, is that correct?
    Did you sign up for the MobileMe Calendar Beta?
    If you are NOT using the MobileMe Calendar Beta:
    __Create a new user account on the Mac: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.6/en/8235.html
    __Go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > MobileMe and sign in with your name and password
    __Click on the Sync tab
    __Check off Synchronize with MobileMe.
    __Check off "Calendars" in the list of items to sync
    __Click on Advanced.
    __Click on the reset sync data button.
    __Click on the arrow to go from MobileMe cloud down to the computer
    __Click replace.
    __Launch iCal and check to see if the calendar data that is on MobileMe is now in iCal.
    __If the calendars do show up in iCal here:
    __Go to File > Export > iCal Archive and save the file to desktop
    __Take the resulting ICBU file and put it in Macintosh HD > Users > Shared
    __Log into the main user account
    __Go to Macintosh HD > Users > Shared and drag the ICBU file to the desktop
    __Double-click the file and it will restore all the calendars into iCal
    __If the calendars now show up in iCal back in the main user try syncing with MobileMe

  • I completed an itunes update yesterday.  Now I am unable to sync my ringtones.  They will not transfer.  The ringtones are listed in my tones on itunes and will play on my computer, but will not transfer to my phone.

    My custom ringtones erased from my phone after syncing and now will not transfer back.  I did an update of itunes yesterday.  Can someone help me please?

  • Unable to sync between iD and iC

    So, we bought this CC-solution for a year ago so that we would be able to actually use the cloud for something more than backup storing. We wanted to be able to create a workflow between writers and designers, where we could use assignments even if we sat in different locations, which we do all the time.
    First you couldn't share files. Now, when you can, we are unable to create this workflow since it will not sync .idlk-files. Do you have any plans on fixing this? I mean, wasn't this the actual function that CC Suite would have? As of now, we are working with another solution so this question is more out of curiosity and a fraction of frustration.

    I think that perhaps I was expecting instant sync, because when I woke up this morning, everything was sync'd perfectly. Thank you for responding, I appreciate it. If I have any problems in the future, I'll let you know.
    (On a side note, my husband and I were married by a friend we had ordained online, and decorated a pope outfit with OSU garb because he's one of the biggest fans I know!)
