Unable to sync iphoto pictures to flickr album

Hi,
I am unable to sync iphoto with flickr album.
I created one album in My iphoto (containing about 14000 pictures) and tried to share with flickr. But after around 4000 pictures, it stopped syncing.
I tried to use share button several times but it did not try to sync again.
Anyone faced the same problem?
Thanks to let me know if there is any solution to this problem.

OS X 10.9.5 and iphoto 9.5.1
Yes, I am trying to upload 14,000 at once to Flickr.

  • Any way to sync iPhoto picture folders with iPhone 3G?

Is there any way in iPhoto to sync picture folders to the iPhone?
For example, I want all my contacts pictures in separate albums in a sub folder called Contacts but when I sync to my iPhone only the albums show up not the sub folder called Contacts?

No, you need to create an album. After you created an album in iPhoto and moved your picutures in there you can select the album to be synced in iTunes.

  • Unable to open iphoto pictures in aperture

I've moved my files from a mac mini to a macbook pro using time machine.   I previously had my iphoto pictures linked to aperture.  Now in aperture, when I'm in faces I can see the faces for all of my photos, both iphoto and aperture.  However, when I go to an iphoto event via aperture in the browser pane I can see outlines of the iphoto pictures and file names, but on the image its self.  If I click on one of the images the picture does not come up and there is an icon that looks like a picture or folder with a red slash through it.  When I go into iPhoto all of the pictures are there.  So, it appears there is a linkage problem between Aperture and the iPhoto library.  Does anyone know how I can restore getting to my iPhoto pictures from Aperture?  I'm hesitant to reimport as I don't want to duplicate everything.
    Thanks

Is this the badge you are referring to? That is telling you that the images referenced master is offline.  You will need to try to reconnect the masters using File->Locate Referenced Files.
Take a look at the manual for this before going ahead with it. See Working with Referenced Images

  • Unable to sync iphoto photos to iphone

I've been seeing this for awhile but didn't have the time to fix it. My iPhone 3GS syncs with iTunes fine, but by the time it gets to photos, it only syncs pictures that I took with my phone excluding pictures from iPhoto. On iTunes, I have the option "Sync all photos and albums from my iPhoto library". After iTunes letting it do its thing, I check my phone and only my camera roll pictures are there. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanx!
p.s. I'm currently running iOS 4.2 beta 1 if that makes a difference

That could be the culprit. Why are you running beta software on your actual phone? Per the terms of the beta software agreement, beta software is only supposed to be utilized on test equipment.
You could try restoring the device from a previous backup or restoring as new.

  • I mistakenly put all my iPhoto pictures into one album.  Can it be reverted?

Is there a way to sync back from an iTV, an iPad, or an iPhone back TO my iPhoto so I can place the photos BACK in their respective events?

No - and note that you referenced both albums and events - two totally different things - is it events you are concerned with?
Best solution is to restore your backjup from before you did this - next best (if you are speaking of events) is to seleect the "big" event and use the autoSplit selected event command

  • Cannot import pictures for my albums?

    Hey
I have recently purchased the lovely iPod Touch and I would therefore like to download the pictures for my music. However, when I attempt this, I am told that the program was unable to download the pictures for some albums. I attempted to get pictures for a little over 500 songs and iTunes was unable to download 344 of them...
    How can this be?
    Best regards
    Jesper

iTunes will only download covers for albums that are on sale in the store, if any of the songs aren't available in the iTunes Store you'd have to add the artwork for them manually. The automatic method also suffers from the occasional spelling quirk, for instance I recall reading that the last Radiohead album was listed (for a time at least) under Radioheads. You'll get information on both methods of adding artwork at this link: iTunes 7 for Mac - Adding artwork to songs and other items
If you can't find the album covers you want from iTunes you can get them from various other sources. I find this site is a good source of artwork: CD/Album Cover Art Search from SlothRadio.
Another place for finding suitable artwork is to go to Amazon. You can also locate artwork using Google image search and put the artist or album name. Locate the album from any of those sources, right click (or Control - click) on the image, choose "save image to the desktop" and once it's there drag it to the iTunes artwork pane. Once you've added the artwork you can either delete the original file or keep it in a folder somewhere in case you need to use it again.
If you have a scanner you can create your own artwork files by scanning the CD cover itself, this is particularly useful when you are dealing with rare recordings.

  • Unable to sync selected albums to ipod touch from itunes using iphoto 11 although it says it has completed sync and shows space taken by nonexistent photos.

Unable to sync albums from iphoto 11 to ipod touch. Even though itunes shows the photos have synced there are no photos on the ipod. Am able to check the albums I want to sync but it doesn't happen.

I have also tried restoring my iPhone and iPad to no avail. Thanks in advance for any assistance!

  • Order of pictures in Flickr after sync?

It seems that after I synced an iPhoto album to Flickr, the images in the Flickr set appear in the order in which I added them to iPhoto. Quite annoying, I'd rather have them in the date order as in iPhoto.
Is there a way to get this done?

Hmm, I know I can manually sort pictures in Flickr, but I'm a lazy person and like the default sorting in iPhoto just fine. It's kind of annoying to have to go to flickr for every set I upload and reorder the pictures.

  • One more question re- getting flickr albums to show up in iPhoto '09

I have in the recent past uploaded a bunch of photos from iPhoto '09 to flickr pro, using the Flickr Uploadr.
With iPhoto '09, I can do it within iPhoto without having to go to Flickr Uploadr. That's great. But how do I get the existing albums to show up in iPhoto '09 so that I can keep a tab on what I have uploaded and what I have not.
Also, does the flickr album item in iPhoto '09 create new copies of the photo or is it just a label/metadata on the existing photo/set of photos in the library?

IF you have successfully imported your pictures to your Mac http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083  then it's safe to delete it from your phone.
If you want the pics back on your phone, just sync them back using itunes http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4236

  • Can't sync iPhoto albums with Sony Bridge for Mac

When I connect the Sony Xperia Z3 compact to the mac the Sony Bridge for Mac shows up. I select the option to explore iPhoto. At first nothing shows up (Sony developers, it would be nice to at least show a spinner or progress bar) but after a while events appear. However all other picture categories (faces, albums, pictures or last importation) don't show up.
Since I prefer to organize pictures by albums rather than events I can't sync anything, as I have no options to check. I'm using Sony Bridge for Mac 3.8.3(3831) and iPhoto 9.5.3 (902.17). Does somebody know how to solve this?

    Hi Asle!
I'm very sorry to hear that you have a problem with BFM.
I will try to help but I need some more information.
    (1) The build number of your phone
    (2) The android version you are using
    (3) The version of iPhoto
It would also be very nice if you can send me the error logs.
Here’s how to get error logs from Sony Bridge for Mac:
    1. In BfM, hold the "alt" key down while selecting the "Phone" menu. Select "Clear logs" to remove all old logs and get a clean start
    2. Reproduce the problem you're having, whether it's connecting the phone, importing photos, doing backup...
    3. In BfM, hold the "alt" key down while selecting the ”Xperia” menu. Select "Export logs"
    4. On the computers desktop there should now be a file named "SonyBridgeForMacLogs_[date].zip
    5. PM that file to me
    Best regards

  • I uploaded a lot of important pictures to iPhoto, after downloading them I deleted them off my memory card. Now, iPhoto will not let me look at the pictures and the album in which I put them is empty. Where did they go? What should I do? Help please!

I uploaded a lot of important pictures to iPhoto, and then deleted them off my memory card. I tried looking at the pictures and they are no wheere to be found, the album in which they were is empty, and I looked everywhere for them. Where did they go? What should I do?

Check to make sure the iPhoto Advanced preferences are set to copy photos into the library when importing, i.e. a "managed" library:
If it is and you don't see any thumbnail in the Event they should be in apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with
Option #3, followed by #4 and then #1 as needed.
    Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments.  However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.
If you are unable to get iPhoto to recover the photos MediaRECOVER can be used on the memory card to recover the photos as long a they haven't been overwritten.  It will run in demo mode so you can see if it will recover the photo before you have to purchase it.

  • Will iPhoto Flickr albums transfer to my new Mac?

I am awaiting the arrival of my i5. Currently I have my iPhoto library on an external hard drive. I have numerous albums being synced with Flickr through iPhoto. I understand that if those albums are deleted then the photos on Flickr will also be deleted. What I would like to know is if these albums will be deleted when I disconnect my external hard drive from my current computer (and therefore from iPhoto) and begin to use my new computer. Obviously my knowledge of the inner workings is limited. I guess the real question is if the flickr albums will follow the iPhoto library as I begin to use my external hard drive on the new computer, or if they will be left behind since they are part of the iPhoto program, not the library, and therefore will be lost.
I believe it is the latter. If so, is my best option to copy the flickr albums to another album within flickr prior to losing the sync in iPhoto? Then I would also have to go back to blog entries and anywhere else I may have linked to the flickr album. That is the mess I am trying to avoid.
    Thanks for any ideas.

The Flickr albums travel with the Library, and as your Library is on the external, why not simply keep using it? Just plug the External into the new machine, Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and point the new iPhoto at the Library and keep on going.

  • HT1414 I am unable to sync iTunes or iPhoto.  I get error message 1140.

I have a new iPhone 5.  I am unable to sync iTunes or iPhoto to it.  I get an error message every time "iPhone cannot be synced.  Unknown Error 1140".  I'm using OS 10.8.2 and IOS 6.  Does anyone know if there is a fix on the way from Apple for this?

Download and install the iPhoto 9.4.1 update, which was just released today. It may be the answer to your problems:

  • Multiple iPhoto Libraries - FB & Flickr syncing

If I create mutliple iPhoto libraries (because my current library is getting big), using iPhoto Library Manager, will photos synced to Facebook and Flickr be maintained or be deleted if they're not in the "open" library?  In other words, how does having multiple libraries effect syncing to FB and Flickr?

    Correct.
6,500 is not a lot of photos. You can run a Library from an external disk formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Multiple libraries are inconvenient, especially for tiny amounts of photos.

  • When I click on almost any picture, in any album, to enlarge it, the pic starts to enlarge and then all I get is a black screen with a large exclamation point in the center.  What have I done to my iPhoto program, and how do I fix it?

Recently, whenever I click on almost any of my pictures, in any album, in order to enlarge that photo, it starts to enlarge but then,
very quickly I get a black screen with a large white exclamation mark in the middle.  And no full sized photo. Boo!
What did I do to my iPhoto program, and how can I fix it?
    Thanks for any suggestions.
    Mike H.

I'm sorry.  Too old to understand this stuff.  I'm sure this seems real stupid to you.  But I have no idea how one
would "right click on the Original iPhoto Library" (I know, I know, 'as stated").
Do I right click on the symbol in the dock??  Or open it first and then, . .  I can't find a way to right click on the word iPhoto in the top bar.
Or should I open the program you had me download.  There I can find something called "original iPhoto library".
When I "right click" on that I get some options.  None of them are "original folders".  There's "reveal library in finder", and "dupilicate library and "sort libraries".  I have no idea if any of these are what you want, or if any of these might change something.
When I clicked on "reveal library in finder" earlier on it showed me the copy of the photo library that I made a while ago, sitting right where I know it is on my desktop.  And if I click on that symbol it shows me all the pictures again.  Just like in my regular iPhoto files - all the thumbs are there, but most can't be opened to full sized.
Are we making progress here?  I'm sure this is frustrating to you.  This is just pictures of family.  Even the thumbs are nice to look at.  But this is nothing critical - like work related or anything.
    Thanks.
    Mike
