Unable to update advanced metadata of document?
Hi All,
I have create portal application in Jdev 11.1.1.7.0 and integrated UCM. added document service taskflow(document manager).
I am able to see the documents and upload/download are working. when I am open document and trying to update advanced metadata of document its show forbidden error in popup.

I found the solution for this! by enabled OHS on environment,this working fine.
but I am facing other issue.its again asking for UCM login details for update metadata.(I thought I need to enable SSO .may be will not ask for login) please correct me if am wrong.

I am facing other issue while uploading document into UCM.actually I have create one profile in ucm with certain custom metadata fields.
when i am uploading I am selecting that profile so similarly its navigating to ucm page (login and its opening check0in form).
here requirement is.
1. by default I have provide one profile fixed when uploading?
2.i have upload multiple documents simply drag and drop.I don't want to goto ucm page and check in like that ect. so simple one I drag and drop when I click on upload i need to upload document as well as need to update custom metadata.
to achieve this requirement OTB taskflow is sufficient? or do need to customize the taskflow or only through RIDC.?
Please let me know the possibility and suggest me to do this.

Error while updating Advanced metadata
I 'm getting an issue while updating the advanced metadata option in the document manager task flow.
The i-frame that is there in the error.png has the backend url as :localhost:8888/cs/idcplg/_p/min/skin-portal/lang-en/tz-UTC+0530?IdcService=GET_UPDATE_FORM&dID=1034&CoreContent=1&forceLogin=1.
I guess the port number is the culprit.
Is there any way by which we can redirect the request to port 16200 and enforce login for the user .The application is deployed on the spaces server.

In Webcenter Content connection, if you fill 'Web Server Context Root" field, webcenter thinks that Content and Portal (or Spaces) are in the exaclty the same adress, host and port.
So you can add a apache that proxy portal and content in port 80 or you can just leave this field "Web Server Context Root" blank.
This is are a production enviroment?

Unable to update Logical Delete field in AS400
hi all,
We have an ESB process that polls for data in AS400 DB and transfers this data into an Oracle DB. This polling is based on Logical Delete. The data transferred is in the range of some lakhs of records. So we are sending around 5000 records per transaction in ESB. When we deploy the process, the data in AS400 is being read and getting transferred. However, the status field is not changing to 'Read Value'. Due to this, we are facing a lot of issues like, when we're in middle of data transfer and the opmn restarts, the data which has already been transferred is also being read and this is throwing an error because of primary constraint violation. Even after the data transfer, if we delete any rows in Oracle DB, the data transfer resumes as the status field is not updated.
I have worked with logical delete in Oracle DB before and was working fine.
Please help me with Logical Delete functionality in case of AS400 Database and also please let me know the privilages we need to have on the AS400 DB to successfully run this process.

According to your post, my understanding is that you was unable to update managed metadata field in designer workflow.
You need to provide the exact string for the MMS value, in the form of <id>;<value>.
The format of the value you wanted to set is uncorrectly, so you cannot update the managed metadata field.
If you want to set the managed metadata field value with correct format, you’d better to create custom action.
There is an article for your reference, although it is about the SharePoint 2010, it is similar to SharePoint 2013.

DateFormat for updating the metadata field through RIDC
Could you please tell me what will be the valid date time format for updating metadata field value through RIDC.?
I am using ADF technology to connect with webcenter UCM and using all services to check-in,update, search generic screens using UCM services. I am able to update other text type metadata field through ADF screen BUT when i update date field then i am getting date parsing error..

Recently unable to open Pages or any documents therein. It seems to be stuck in the Cloud. Although I can open a list of the documents I can not open any of the documents.
The answer is simple... If you want to remedy this, then don't save them as PDFs.
Word opens Word and text documents. Not PDFs.

The Readonly error got resolved.
But still the following error is displayed when I am loading data thru load rule.
To Brief you up, I had done a database corrupt check using validate command because of the following error. The information map asks you to do the same since the other parameters are in the affirmative ie sufficient disk space, not using addsin, File is present.

I used the VALIDATE <error.txt> command and found that the database is not corrupt.
I also used the export command to see if everything goes well. That also works well.
Note: I do not have any data in the Cube. I had cleared all data.

TS3694 I have a Ipod touch 4G, and i am unable to update or restore it.
I have been unable to update or restore my Ipod touch to the 5.1, and 11.1 for my computer. each attempt to update has lead to the error report 3194. I'm not sure what it means or how to fix it. Please someone point me in the right direction to get this fixed.
P.S. - Don't put me thru the Apple support run around.

I am unable to update software, transfer purchases, sync, or backup any of my 3 devices. I have tried using iTunes on other computers, uninstalling iTunes with tech support walking me through, using a different user on my computer, deleting photos off of my devices, using an ethernet cable instead of connecting with wifi, uninstalling my antivirus software and firewall, and had my laptop examined by several techs who all determined there was nothing wrong with the laptop that explains what has been going on. I am also unable to view or download purchases on iTunes. Clicking the Itunes store results in a blank white screen. I get various error messages, including -9886. Apple techs and now the engineers have been unable to resolve the issues thus far, even after several hours of phone support over the course of several months (about 5 hours this month alone). Sorry for hijacking your thread as put by Dahveed. However I have resolved my issue so I thought I'll share it with the rest of you.
I checked for the error 3194 in youtube and I found some good videos that tell you how to resolve the problem. The issue I was facing was the actually (I know because I have resolved it now) the communication between my computer and apple server which can be fixed as following (if you are using windows):
There is file in following directory:
C:\Windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts
The file normally has no extension and it is in file format. You need to open it and make sure that every line that has apple server id starts with "#". In my case one of the line started directly with the ip address and then gs.apple.com.
Perform your restore/update after that and hopefully it should be resolved (mine did).

I am unable to update, uninstall, or reinstall iTunes on my laptop. Everything was working fine until recently when there was an update available for iTunes, and when I tried to update this, I got the message, "The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. After replacing the hard drive on my G4 Powerbook and reinstalling Tiger I am no longer able to synch between itunes and my ipod (Classic 160gb) it would seem that the software on the ipod is of later date than itunes and I am unable to update itunes to the state prior to the original harddrive's failure for Tiger OSX 10.4.11

DingohThe last security update released for Tiger users was the 2009-005 update. The latest version of QuickTime is 7.6.4. The last version of iTunes that can run on Tiger is 9.2.1, because 10.0 only supports Mac OS X Leopard and later.
So, are you on version 9.2.1?
Was it Tiger or Leopard you had on the drive before?

I am unable to update/restore my iPhone on my MacBook after attempting to downgrade iTunes 10 to iTunes 9.2. I am currently running iTunes 10 on my MacBook right now because it was my only option to get iTunes back on my MacBook. Everything is fine with syncing my device but the only problem I keep encountering is the restoring and updating options. When I restore my device it tells me that It could not be restored at this time. When I update it, iTunes tells me that it cannot complete the current build. I know for a fact I am missing some files that were deleted when I attempted the downgrade. Anybody know what files I am currently missing that is causing this?

Of course, I always advocate the benefits of encapsulation with my students.
In this example, I declared my fields as public only because I was trying
with private fields and it wasn't working (I don't know why). So I try with
public fields to see whether it would work.
Anyway, I had encapsulated my fields and everything worked OK. I was in
trouble (the class is only some hours away and some of my students are
prospects of customers so my image is fundamental). You have get me out of
trouble.

Have you checked the execution plan if indexes are used?
You could update the data in chunks, e.g. 10.000 rows per execution. For this you have to add a TOP clause and a filter to update only those, who are not updated yet.
