Unable to Upload Site

I just uploaded to iWeb '09 (v3) from iWeb '08 and have been unable to publish my site. It creates all the pages, but before it starts to upload to MobileMe, it comes up with a message titled "unable to publish" which reads "unable to publish site. An unknown error has occurred."
I was having no problems with '08... what might be causing this?

Part of the problem is in my opinion with the Apple servers. So if publising does not succeed at first, try again later, and remember that it can take hours depending on the size of your sites. Just let it run.
There are issues with iWeb 09, like the fonts. And there are issues with pages suddenly causing errors. Some of my problems disappeared after making a few changes and replacing the wrong stuff a few times.
I have also noticed that iWeb 09 cannot handle some foreign characters like iWeb 08 could. I had a music file with a Japanese name, and this kept disappearing from my site. When I changed the name to latin the problem had gone.
There is a way to retrieve your work, but don't do anything drastic yet. Things may improve. Check your pages on your desktop, note if there are weird things, then try uploading again.

    is it possible to use any third party client to upload your Muse website, and see if that works. If not, then the issue is with server and you need to discuss this with your server.

  • I am unable to upload any photos to photo sharing sites?

    For the last two days I have been unable to upload any photos regardless of size to a professional photo sharing website. I have tried everything possible such as disabling my Norton services, emptying the DNS cache, clearing all browers histories and all cookies. I've tried creating new accounts on the website and nothing has worked. I then tried to upload photos to another site and when the photo started to load it said that I lost internet connection yet I didn't. I am able to use my daughter's dell and can upload photos just fine on any site with her computer. I did a live chat with Norton and they ran me through a series of things as well and said it is something with my mac.  Does anyone have any suggestions???? I'm at a complete loss and beyond frustrated with this entire experience.

    Hi, Thank you so much for the info.... I really do appreciate it. We had the laptop updated by way of a system upgrade with RAM and an additional SSD drive. Once reconfigured all programs were reinstalled but Iphoto is not among them. Iphoto was on the laptop when purchased so we have no additional discs. Before the laptop was updated we backed the photos up to an extrenal hard drive so we have them, but cant access them. Could I purchase Iphoto 8 stll? Would this work? We would also require an external CD drive as we no longer have the disc drive in the laptop (I think the extra new bits took over). You may have noticed I have very limited knowledge on computers so any help dispite how simple it may sound to some would help me greatly. I just want all my photos back .... Thanks inadvance... Hope to hear soon x

    Hi,
    I had updated the default value of the managed metadata field using the below code.
    After that, the library worked well without any issue, you can use the below code to check whether it works.
    TaxonomySession taxonomySession = new TaxonomySession(site);
    TermStore termStore=taxonomySession.TermStores["Managed Metadata Service"];
    Group group=termStore.Groups["Site Collection - sp"];
    TermSet termSet=group.TermSets["Test1"];
    Term term=termSet.Terms["AA"];
    SPList list = web.Lists.TryGetList("1");
    TaxonomyField taxonomyField=list.Fields["MMS"] as TaxonomyField;
    Console.WriteLine("Old Default Value:{0}", taxonomyField.DefaultValue);
    taxonomyField.DefaultValue = "-1" + ";#" + term.Name + "|" + term.Id.ToString().ToLower();
    taxonomyField.Update();
    Console.WriteLine("New Default Value :{0}", taxonomyField.DefaultValue);

  • Unable to upload images

    As of a few days ago I am unable to upload images online. First I noticed it with a Mixbooks and then with Ebay. In some cases it starts to load it and then starts over and over without any success. On Ebay it just sits there preparing to upload. I tried uploading it from iPhoto and then from my desktop with the same results. The internet connection is good and firewall isn't an issue. I'm running the latest Snow Leopard version on a 6 month old 27" iMac. Any suggestions?
    Thanks

  • I am unable to upload pdf files.

    I am unable to upload files to acrobat.com. I receive an error message that says 'Error: Adobe reader did not get a response from the server.  Try again later or contact your system administrator.' I'm on the internet right now.  AND I use to heave a side menu whenever I opened any pdf files with the option to convert it to any other format and the side menu no longer displays.

    a quick question first-
    in the Files Panel, is the icon next to this site's root
    folder a folder
    icon or a network icon?
    You should be able to make a link to a pdf file by selecting
    the text, then
    use the folder icon next to Link in the Property Inspector to
    pick the file
    you want to link to.
    to manually upload a file, find it in the Files Panel and
    click Put
    note- if the pdf's filename contains blank spaces or
    punctuation there can
    be linking errors.

  • Unable to Upload .ai Files to my Web Page

    I secured a domain name and hosting provider, but am unable to upload my web pages, which were designed using Illustrator CS5. Illustrator's Save for Web command is designed as tool that helps you create graphics suitable for use on a web-site. • Unable to upload multiple files

    In MOSS, I am unable to upload multiple files from the Site Actions | Manage Content and Structure | New | Item menu. I have tried adding Word documents and image files (JPEG, GIFS) to no avail into the \images or \document folders. Even if I try just one file, three or five, the menu never initiates or progresses. It just sits. If I cancel, the menu returns immediately. I have tried to change security settings with no success. Trying to upload multiple files on different MOSS installations also fails. If this is related to a Web Dev settings, can you tell me exactly where the setting is? Thanks for your insight. cm

    Believe it or not, I have found a solution after about 4hrs of fiddling around. This appears to be a bug in Sharepoint 2007. There is a work around that I have discovered! Follow the steps below and let me know if this works for you. It has worked for me and other people so far.
    The steps are as follows:
    1) Browse to your website at http://<servername>/_layouts/settings.aspx; you will need to login by providing a service account name & password or your site collection administrator account & password.
    2) Once you login, click on 'Site Actions' menu.
    3) Then, click on 'Manage Site Content and Structure'.
    4) Click on any document library you want to upload or add files into. If you do not see the 'Upload' menu from the dropdown main menu between the 'New' and 'Actions' menu then you have this bug as well showing up on your server. Don't give up yet, there is a solution. Keep going through these steps!
    5) Click on 'New' and select 'Item'.
    6) You should now see the Upload Document page; under the input browse field there should be a link for 'Upload Multiple Files...', if you do not see this you will need to install either Office 2003 or Office 2007. If you do see it, click on it.
    7) Now, you should see the multiple upload page that allows you to select multiple files. If you try to select one or several and click on the OK button, nothing will happen. No need to worry! There is a work around. Just keep reading to the next step.
    8) On the hierarchy navigation you will have links something like this:
    WebSiteName > Folder1 > Folder2
    9) Click on the "Document Library" folder name; in our case it was Folder1. Basically its the folder you ended up in in step #4.
    10) Now, did you notice anyting in your menu change? Now you should be able to see the Upload menu option between the 'New' and 'Actions' menu that you could not see in step #4.
    11) Click on the 'Upload' menu and select 'Upload Multiple Documents'
    12) Now, you will be back at the Upload document page where you were in step #7
    13) Select one file or many and then click OK. Now it works!!! You should get an IE popup asking you that your about to upload files to your site, Click OK.
    VOILA!!!
    Don't ask me why, I do not know why this happens but it works.

    Good morning, after creating new sections, students are unable to upload. The error message they are getting is Access Denied. This is after authentication through Blackboard.

    We also authenticate using the Baker/Regent building block for Blackboard, and we are getting a lot of "the requested URL was not found on this server", and "An Internal Server Error Has Occurred" messages when trying to access our iTunes U site.
    Now, I'm also noticing this is occurring when trying access our public site as well.

  • Unable to upload PowerPoint 2013 Slides to Slide library on SP 2013

    Hello everybody,
    for some time now we are unable to upload slides to SharePoint 2013 slide library.
    Neither uploading via the button in the library nor in the PowerPoint via Share>Publish Slides. It does not show up any error, but it also does not show up, the it has been updated. When I refresh the library there are no changes as well.
    I have tried to upload different slides. I have already created a new slide library on this Team site and on other one, but this issue is still persist.
    What is the reason for this? Has anyone an idea how to solve this problem? Many thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi,
    Slide Library is a deprecated feature. There are design limitation in SharePoint Server 2013.
    This issue occurs because the Slide Library ActiveX control is not part of the Office Home and Student 2013 RT installation, nor is it installed when you perform an Office 2013 Click-to-Run installation.
    Though we can create a Slide Library in SharePoint 2013 through navigating to
    http://yourwebappname/yoursitename/_layouts/15/slnew.aspx?FeatureId={0be49fe9-9bc9-409d-abf9-702753bd878d}&ListTemplate=2100
    , this library seems to be the same we had on SharePoint 2010. Also FeatureId is the same as in SharePoint 2010.
    As a workaround, we can insert slides from PowerPoint files (see
    Copy and reuse slides from another presentation file).
    In addition, Office Web Apps (as part of SharePoint 2013) allow SharePoint users to view and edit Office documents (Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.) from within the browser. Typically we can click on a link to a PowerPoint, for example in a document library,
    and be taken to a new page to present PowerPoint.

  • Unable to upload to photoshop or youtube

    Hi,
    I am experienced Elements user, but new to Premiere.
    Have not been able to successfully upload first project to photoshop.com or youtube.

    Subject: unable to upload to photoshop or youtube
    Mark Choate
    I would be happy to offer suggestions to help you resolve your issue here if you prefer.
    First let us focus on the Share/Online/Photoshop.com...
    When you first clicked on the Photoshop.com choice, did you see a flash on/off message "downloading presets"? Also, if you look to the top of the Premiere Elements workspace, do you see a "Welcome, followed by your name"? If you do, click on that and then sign out and resign in with our Adobe ID and password. Restart the computer, reopen Premiere Elements and note:
    a. Do you see your Welcome, followed by your name?
    b. Do you get the Downloading Presets when you first click on Photoshop.com choice in Share/Online?
    c. Is your upload of your Timeline to Photoshop.com now successful?
    It is also a good idea to go to http://www.photoshop.com to determine if your Adobe ID and password are recognized at that location. Did you ever say here or elsewhere what version of Premiere Elements that you are using? If not, what version are you using? The never ending "gathering information" has been part of the syndrome of disappearing contacts and listing of sent emails in Find/History and other problems in Photoshop Elements. The fix has been to sign in and out of Photoshop.com from within the program. The fix is not always permanent but it does allow you to move forward.
    On to the matter of uploading to YouTube via Share/Online/YouTube. If you are on a time crunch, you might consider exporting your Timeline to a file, such as mp4 or mov (details to be provided if necessary) and then uploading that file at the YouTube web site.
    Depending on how the above works out, have you done a complete and clean uninstall/reinstall of Premiere Elements? Do you have an installation disc or did the program come pre-installed with your computer? Always lots of questions and answers needed.
    Hope some of the above proves helpful. Please do not hesitate to ask for clarification on anything that I have written here or elsewhere.
    Thanks. Looking forward to your follow up.

  • XLS upload via HSODBC. Unable to upload numeric (float) fields

    hi,
    I wrote a program unit with Oracle Forms Builder 10g to upload and read an Excel sheet.
    I created a HSODBC Data link to my DB, and used Excel 2003 to edit the XLS file to upload, and WEBUTIL_FILE_TRANSFER.CLIENT_TO_AS(client_dir_file,'\\server\dir\myfile.xls') to upload.
    My DBLink works and Im able to upload the file. But it seems oracle is unable to upload some fields containing numeric (float) values.
    running DESCRIBE Sheet1$@hsodbc; I got this table structure
    UPLOAD_DATE          DATE
    NUMBER VARCHAR2(32512 CHAR)
    CODE VARCHAR2(32512 CHAR)
    DESCR          VARCHAR2(32512 CHAR)
    SIMILARS FLOAT(49)
    WIDTH VARCHAR2(32512 CHAR)
    HEIGHT VARCHAR2(32512 CHAR)
    HIGH      VARCHAR2(32512 CHAR)
    ITEMS      FLOAT(49)
    fields SIMILARS, WIDTH, HEIGHT, HIGH, ITEMS contain numeric values in float format (ex: 1,00000). When I run
    SELECT * FROM SHEET1$@HSODBC
    I get that WIDTH, HEIGHT, HIGH columns are EMPTY (contain NULL values), while SIMILARS and ITEMS contains not null values.
    I am sure that the \\server\dir\myfile.xls contains not null values for WIDTH, HEIGHT, HIGH fields! I tried to change cells format before upload, setting them to FLOAT, but I got no results!
    Please help me, how can I do to change cell format in order to obtain a correct upload?

    E.C.
    there is a mistake in the subject. As I said in my thread, the upload works and the uploaded file contains all values. My problem is that I am "unable to READ" the numeric values stored in VARCHAR2 fields.

  • Unable to load Site Control File

    Hello,
    The background :
    I am in the process of learning how to create a Management Pack for a distributed application in SCOM 2012 R2.</p><p>For this, I picked our SCCM Site server to use as an example. So, in short, am writing a management pack for SCCM 2007 Discovery.
    I know a management pack might already exist. I am trying to learn by using an architecture I'm familiar with so I need to create this from scratch.
    In order to discover SCCM Site installed on a server, I decided to use the SMS WMI namespace. By reading the
    SMS_ProviderLocation Instance, I am able to detect if the server has SCCM Site installed on it.
    My next step was to find out where the SMS database is hosted. I found
    ROOT\SMS\site_ABC\ namespace contains an instance of SMS_SCI_SiteDefinition where I can find the database name and server name which I can use to discover the other components of a distributed application.
    The problem :
    When I run the query Select * from SMS_SCI_SiteDefinition I get a generic error 0x80041001.
    More Information reveals the following:
    error description : " Unable to load site control file "
    error code : " 2160198400 (0x80c20300) "
    file name : " c:\qfe\nts_sms_fre\sms\siteserver\sdk_provider\smsprov\sspsitecontrolextractor.cpp "
    Now, I cannot find the QFE folder anywhere. The SCCM Site is working fine and the site_control_manager component has no errors. I can launch the SCCM console on that server without any errors and the site status messages do not contain any errors.
    Can someone please help me out with "detecting" an installed instance of SCCM site server using WMI? Is the above error cause for worry for the SCCM part of my brain?
    Thanks in advance for your guidance!

    Thanks for your response Don!
    The SMS_Site instance does not provide information of the database server and database name.
    The funny thing is when I browse use wbemtest to connect to root\SMS\site_XXX and enumerate classes, i do not find
    the SMS_SCI_SiteDefinition.
    I find it when i enumerate recursively and can browse into the values. I'm not sure how could build a query against this now.
    Can anybody with a test instance of SCCM 2007 check this and let me know please?
    Everything you are looking for exist within WMI. You can use the documentation script as an example to get what you are looking for.

    We have applied 8.1.1.3 patch on 8.1.1.0
    below are the steps followed
    Reports are not generated after 8.1.1.3 patch installtion.
    we have also followed to below steps mentioned for this issue in oracle support.
    "In order to resolve this behavior it is necessary to ensure that the 8.1.1.3 FixPack has been applied to the Siebel Tools installation. This will provide an additional .zip file in the REPPATCH folder of the Siebel Tools installation. Once this has been done please then follow the configuration steps as documented :
    change sysprefix to X_ before sif import and chage back to SBL_ after sif import.
    1) Import the sif files from Siebel\8.1\Tools_1\REPPATCH\12-1VMBCSV.zip
    2) Import the 4 SIF files in the following order:
