UNABLE TO USE COMPILED CLASSES STORED IN DIFFERENT FOLDERS
Can you help me out
i have a problem i have been creating various modules and the compiled classes files are stored in different folders and i want the module to access the compiles classes file from the respective folders can any one give me some idea how to get it working.
thankyou
You need to make the folders into packages. Say you have 2 folders, one with your core classes named "core", and one with your GUI classes named "gui". These folders are in a folder called "myprogram". You then put a statement at the top of each file in the "core" folder like this: package myprogram.core; Do the same with all the java files in the "gui" folder as well, but replace .core with .gui. Then, you import your own package the same way you do normal java packages: import myprogram.core.*;
I hope that makes sense, for more info here is the Java tutorial: http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/java/interpack/packages.html

How to access the e-mails which are stored in different folders via Mac
Hi guys, I am new to Mac. My problem is about the setting of Mac Mail.
There are 8 folders with my hotmail account in order to automatically sort e-mail into folders. I only can get the e-mails of inbox folder via Mac Mail software. I am wondering how to access the other e-mails which are stored in other folders.
Thanks a lot!I don't think that things have changed going from 10.5 Mail to 10.6 Mail in this regard (I need to log on to my laptop more often). So, assuming that my premise is correct, in the left hand column of the mail window, underneath your inbox, drafts, sent, trash, and junk mailboxes, there should be the descriptive name of your mail account, written in gray capital letters, with a gray triangle to the left of that name. If the gray triangle is pointing to the right, click on it so that it points downward. That will expand the account view of mailboxes on the server. You should be able to see all of the other folders.

Unable to use two af:tables with differing coloring (skins)?
Im trying to configure the Siebel Self-Services application and customize the skinning. I have some problems though, because i need to show two af:tables on the same page, but with different coloring. One with black background and white text (both header and body) and one with white background and black text. I have tried to use styleClass:es, but the css parameters set for the af table are overriding the ones set in the stylesheets.
Anyone having an idea how to overcome this?
Thanks
/Jon-ErikHi,
if the styleClass name is table1 then the skin selector would be something like
.table1 af|table
or .afTable.af|table
I don't see how this can be overriden. If you assumption is that the style class reference must be to a CSS definition on the page then this indeed does not work. The styleClass name is kind of a named identifier for the component to skin and is used to further qualify the component to skin

Unable to use ExecuteXMLReader with Stored Procedure
I have been trying to use the ExecuteXMLReader with a CommandType = StoredProcedure and I keep getting the following error:
"Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object."
Below is my code:
Dim cmd as oraclecommand
Dim conn as oracleconnection
Dim xmlreader as xml.xmlreader
conn = new oracleconnection(connectionstring)
conn.open
cmd = new oraclecommand()
cmd.connection = conn
cmd.commandtext = "sp_get_users"
cmd.commandtype = commandtype.storedprocedure
cmd.XmlCommandType = OracleXmlCommandType.Query
cmd.parameters.add("parm1", OracleDbType.RefCursor, ParameterDirection.Output)
xmlreader = cmd.executexmlreader() <-- Error Here
The stored procedure is defined as follows:
procedure sp_get_users (usercursor out ref cursor)
is
begin
open usercursor for
select * from arc_users;
end sp_test;
The same code works if I make the following changes:
cmd.commandtext = "select * from arc_users"
cmd.commandtype = commandtype.text
Any help is greatly appreciated. I have looked everywhere for a solution.
Thanks
Sandra M. VegaRich provided the answer to your immediate problem.
If you are going to be working with an SQL Server BE, I strongly suggest you take some time to learn more about it to save yourself a lot of headaches.
Here is a good place to start

I have two user accounts on my Mac. One for work and one for personal use.
They both share my iCloud and iCloud drive account. My issue is that when I update the files in my work account the changes do not take place when I log into my personal account on my mac.. I find this strange seeing as I am only using one account for both.
This means when I am working and make folders or rename files and folders they only appear when I view iCloud Drive from that user profile. When I try to view iCloud drive from my personal user account or other iOS devices like my phone the old changes remain.
Has anyone any ideas why this is?Because iCloud drive is not shared between users. Each account has it's own storage. It is NOT shared.

Is there a way to use compiler class with 5.1 (like it is
possible with 6.1) ?
Dimitri
Do you have Java Development Kit or Java 2 Standard Development Kit in your compute?

Importing files of the same name in *different* folders?
Yes, yes, we all know about the RAW+JPEG and whatever else argument.
But why should I be prevented from importing identical files that are stored in different folders? Who cares if they are in the library twice?
I haven't figured out if it's just a name issue (don't think so) or if the files have to be truly identical.
I *think*, but am not sure, that you can import separate files of the same name but that are actually different images. Can anyone verify?
Lee JayBob,
It appears that you can import duplicate named files by unchecking the "ignore Duplicates' box--the first time you import files (or a file) from a folder. But, if you go back to that folder to use 'import' to update, then the import takes place immediately bypassing the screen with the "ignore Dulicates' box on it--I presume it assumes that you would not want to change any of the original settings for an import from a given folder.
The point is you had better leave it unchecked always if you want duplicates ingested intially or later on reimport. -

}A very common question. Tomcat dislikes classes which are not packaged. So, add a package statement in your UserBean.java
package beans; // or something like thatand then place the compiled class file UserBean.class into WEB-INF/classes/beans.
Put the import statement into the JSP accordingly and try again.

}I read in one blog (actually - the only page which was returned by yahoo - so - this should be very rare error!!!) to try to use Sun server's verifier.bat - and - it reported 0 errors and 0 warning. Build was succesfull as well and also - deployment was without errors - but - above mentioned error appeared during the automatic compilation of jsp pages/servlet when newly deployed jsps are first accessed from remote browser.
So - is it possible, please, to receive some advice - what to do further? I feel that my invoice.jsp page can be with errors, - however - the original welcomeJSF.jsp should be working without errors even the erronwous JFS jsp page is added to web application.
Thans for any adice or hint in advance!!!OK - I have made 'clean and build main project' from NB menu and the deployed the resulting *.war and the error messages have disappeared... So - it seems to be bug...

I had a ton of issues with JBoss and jfreechart. JBoss uses a different classloader, and its internal versions of the jfreechart classes will be loaded before yours, causing all sorts of issues. Dig through the jboss directories and you'll find a different, older version of jfreechart of one of its classes. Remove them and you'll be in better shape.
Alternatively, look around the JBoss docs for how to disable/turn off the unified classloader for your app (its a directive in jboss-web.xml IIRC). This should make the classloader for your webapp perform to spec, getting rid of the class colission issues. -
Unable to compile class for JSP. apache-tomcat-6. What could be wrong?
Hello, I am new to JSP and I am trying a very basic jsp and class file on Windows XP. I get the Unable to compile class for JSP.
Steps that I have done:
javac ch06_01.java , placed the ch06_01.class under
C:\Apps\apache-tomcat-6.0.16\webapps\ch06\WEB-INF\classes
Then grabbed the ch06_02.jsp and placed it under
C:\Apps\apache-tomcat-6.0.16\webapps\ch06\
When I run it (by placing this into Explorer or Firefox URL
http://localhost:8080/ch06/ch06_02.jsp) I get the error further
below. Things I have done and made sure they are in place are:
set up JAVA_HOME to C:\Apps\jdk1.6.0_06
Using CATALINA_BASE: C:\Apps\apache-tomcat-6.0.16
Using CATALINA_HOME: C:\Apps\apache-tomcat-6.0.16
Using CATALINA_TMPDIR: C:\Apps\apache-tomcat-6.0.16\temp
Using JRE_HOME: C:\Apps\jre1.6.0_06
I did a google on the error and I found people saying to place the
tools.jar from the jsk into the lib directory under CATALINA_HOME. But
the examples still don't work. What step could I be missing? Your help is greatly
appreciated.

I just updated the directories of the variables to reflect the current status of my system.What is wrong is that you are using an "old" jsp tutorial :-)
Since Java 1.4, JSPs have been unable to access classes in the "default" package.
What you need to do:
Put the java class ch06_01 in a package.
Steps to do this
- Edit ch06_01 and add the following to the very top of the file (without the quotes): "package mypackage;"
- create a folder "mypackage"
- move ch06_01.java into that folder
- compile that class (now in the mypackage package)
- place ch06_01.class under C:\Apps\apache-tomcat-6.0.16\webapps\ch06\WEB-INF\classes\mypackage
In your jsp:
<%@ page import="mypackage.ch06_01" %>
I would suggest using a more up-to-date tutorial that uses JSTL.
Take a look at this [Apache Tomcat tutorial|http://www.coreservlets.com/Apache-Tomcat-Tutorial/index.html] -

Tomcat 4.1 Bean error (Unable to compile class for JSP)
Help,
I am using Tomcat 4.1 with with JDK1.3.1_01. I have a JSP page in which I try to use a Bean, but I get the following error from Tomcat.
The JSP page is very simple. I am using package names in the import statement. Code below.
I've put the class files under
<TOMCAT>\webapps\projectname\WEB-INF\classes under the appropriate packages. What else is missing? I can not figure out what I am doing wrong.

***************** END TOMCAT ERROR MESSAGE *********************Hi
I am running my Tomcat apps (on a Windows dev machine) in an alternate location (ie. not default webapps). The same crap comes to me every time. Unable to install etc. I have tried every trick in the book regarding classpath settings etc.
When I use 'javap' to check the classpath from any location on my machine, its works and javap returns the signature of my class.
When I use it though Tomcat (with the import set to include the filename), it get the error. I have heard rumors that using JDK 1.3 in stead of 1.4 helps, but I just want it to work with 1.4 :)
So if any of you can help me on this, please.
PS. On my linux server it works just fine, as does every other thing on that machine ;)
