Unable to View Monitor Diagram in Oracle Workflow 2.6.5

Hi
When I click 'View Diagram' button in Oracle Workflow in Internet explorer, a blank grey page is displayed. I get following error in java console:
Error loading class: oracle.apps.fnd.wf.Monitor
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.apps.fnd.wf.Monitor
     at com/ms/vm/loader/URLClassLoader.loadClass
     at com/ms/vm/loader/URLClassLoader.loadClass
     at com/ms/applet/AppletPanel.processSentEvent
     at com/ms/applet/AppletPanel.processSentEvent
     at com/ms/applet/AppletPanel.run
     at java/lang/Thread.run
But jar file wfMon.jar is present in OA_JAVA path. It contains Monitor class.
Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Yes, index.html is not relevant, just use it to make absolutely sure noone is able to browse virtual paths, as well as for testing that the virtual mapping is correctly defined..
I struggled with this as well, the only thing I can suggest is that you check a few things:
1. Are you sure that you don't have 2 /OA_JAVA/ definitions in your apache config files, so that the one that apache uses points to a different place than where you have placed your files?
2. Are you absolutely, definitevily sure that you haven't made a typo in your virtual path definition (I did, and it took me an hour to find the error...)?
Check this by putting a html file in the directory, and try to open this directly in your browser (http://yourserver.com/OA_JAVA/index.html), to make sure you don't get a "404 Not Found" http error.
3.
a) Make sure that you got the slashes then correct way, depending on your platform..
b) Make sure to get the capitalisation correct, especially on unix/linux, but possibly this is important in windows as well, as java is case-sensitive too.
c) Make sure you include the trailing slash at the end.
d) Make sure you restart http server after modifications, and if you manually edit a config file you need to run dcmctl updateConfig (this is not necessary if you edit from within the EM Website).
e) Make sure to clear your browser cache and start an entirely new IE browser after every modification (this is important!).
These definitions should work (note the trailing FORWARD-slash):
Windows:
Alias /OA_JAVA/ D:\myfolder\wf\java/
Unix/Linux:
Alias /OA_JAVA/ /myfolder/wf/java/
Go through your config once more, and let us know if you are able to view the html-file on the http://yourserver.com/OA_JAVA/index.html url (of course substituting with your server:port).
Hope this helps..
Jens

  • Connect from master/detail to the oracle workflow diagram viewer possible?

    Hello we are using apex 4 and we have a master/detail form.
    Now we want if you click on the detail on item_key or item_type to redirect to the corresponding diagram in oracle workflow.
    Is this possible if so could you point us in the right direction.
    Thank you.

    Hi Frank,
    Thanks for your reply. In the application I used weblogic JDBC driver for Sybase when it was developed in 11.1.1.1.0 version.
    The following are the extries in bc4j.xcfg file:
    jbo.sql92.JdbcDriverClass="weblogic.jdbc.sybase.SybaseDriver"
    jbo.TypeMapEntries="Java"
    jbo.SQLBuilder="SQL92"
    Now I have changed the JDBC to Sybase jConnect (jconn4.jar) and driver class is com.sybase.jdbc4.jdbc.SybXADataSource and other entries remains the same as it was before.
    Thanks

    *MOS tech note : 220:Unable To Set NLS_LANGUAGE Error In Workflow Builder [ID 728330.1]*
    and other related threads.
    All values in registry are correct as per DB NLS settings
    Here the strange thing is i am able to login with apps account its not giving this error and when i am trying to login with another custom db account its throwing error.
    I even granted select, insert, update privilege on WF_LANGUAGES view to custom db user still same issue.
    Any pointers on this issue is really appreciated.
    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi helios,
    Many thanks for your input.
    Did you check note Error While Connecting To Database Using The Workflow Builder [ID 577905.1]? After you follow note 220:Unable To Set NLS_LANGUAGE Error In Workflow Builder [ID 728330.1] did you restart machine?yes, i restarted my PC and the tech note provides the same solution from tech note *577905.1* as i updated in my earlier post.
    If its the problem of NLS_LANG then it should not allow me login with apps also right??
    But i can login with apps without any issues.

  • Oracle Workflow Monitor

    I've seen plenty of references to Oracle Workflow Monitor, but I've never paid much attention. Yesterday I got an error message from Control Center that instructed me to use Oracle Workflow Monitor to solve my problem (a process was running and needed to be shut down before regenerating).
    But how to I use Oracle Workflow Monitor? Is it installed by default when OWF was initially installed with OWB? What URL do I use access it? If it does not run after the conventional OWB install, is there a How-To document available for configuring it?
    To be clear, OWF seems to be set up and working. I have created and run process flows successfully. I've just experienced a weird problem that Control Center cannot seem to handle -- and I'm looking for answers. Frankly, I'm mystified at the lack of information on Oracle Workflow Monitor given that OWB error messages reference it and plenty of people seem to discuss it in technical forums.
    Thanks,
    David

    Thanks Robert!
    We are using OWB 11 on Oracle 11, but I'm going to press on and ask our DBA to install the OWF mid-tier components from the 10g Companioin CD. I don't think workflow has changed and so I'm hopeful.
    (If anybody has experience, please chime in for the record.)
    Thanks again!
    -David

  • Oracle WorkFlow, help me, please

    Hi,
    I don't familiar with Oracle Workflow , I want to use it, in fact I build up the Oracle WorKFlow using WorkFlow
    Builder but I don't know how to link the workflow process with the aplication.
    Can any one tell me How to execute this work flow
    regards
    Marma Teresa

    Hello Maria,
    There are two parts to your question; First, if you want to see how Workflow works in the application a good idea would be to test for example; a Purchasing Workflow. If you have Purchasing do the following: (I'm not sure how your setup is for the apps. so I'll include all steps).
    1) Create yourself as a user in the Core applications: (R) System Adminstrator - (N) User/
    Define
    2) Give yourself the following responsiblities: a) System Adminstrator
    b) Purchasing
    c) Workflow Adminstrator Web Applications
    3) Create a Purchase order in Purchasing - do not approve the PO
    4) Open a SQL session and run the following script:
    SQL> select segment1, wf_item_type, wf_item_key,po_header_id
    from po_headers_all
    where segment1 = <PO Number>;
    This script will give you the the name of the workflow that got called: wf_item_type and
    the unique instance of the definition that got called: wf_item_key.
    5) Choose the Workflow Adminstrator Web Applications responsibility and choose Find Process
    from the menu
    6) In the Item key field enter the value from the SQL script (wf_item_key) - click on Find
    7) In the next form chose the View Diagram button - this will launch the Workflow Monitor, it
    will allow you view the present state of the definition - the green line indicates
    the 'path'Workflow has taken and the color also indicates that everything is ok.
    8) Go back into Purchasing and Approve the PO
    9) Follow steps 5,6 and 7 - to see the 'continued flow' of the Workflow.
    The second part to your question, if you have created a Workflow you have two options;
    1) To actually 'call' the Workflow you created, you will have to save your definition to the
    database. Chose the Launch Process menu, find your definition. The in the next form, enter
    the data for your attributes...then click ok. This will launch your workflow.
    Unfortunately, I do not know what your definition looks like so may encounter some errors.
    But the Launch Process allows you 'test' the Workflow you created.
    2) If you want to 'include' your definition in the Core Applications that might require a
    customization. In brief, when users are in the application, depending on what they are
    doing, the form will call workflow. If you want the application to call your definition you
    will have to cutomize the call the form makes. But, certain modules in the application
    do allow you to modify Oracle's definition and call your new process - Oracle Purchasing
    is one of those modules.
    I hope this information helps. If you need more infomation let me know: [email protected]
    Thanks,
    Karen

  • Is Oracle Workflow required to execute OWB schedules?

    Hi,
    I want to create and deploy a schedule in OWB 10gR2 to automatically run my OWB process flow every week. I would like to know
    1) Whether I need to install Oracle workflow too in order to execute the process flow as per the schedule created?
    2) If not, how does the OWB scheduler work?
    3) Also, if the scheduled proces flow terminates due to some error, how do I resume executing it from the point of termination after correcting the error?
    Thanks
    Amit

    Hi Amit,
    1. Is the workflow monitor a standard part of Oracle workflow,or does one need a separate license for it?All parts Oracle workflow (workflow server, workflow monitor, workflow builder) licensed with Oracle database licenses,
    so if you buy Oracle database you can use workflow components without any limitations.
    2. In your approach, you had mentioned that there should be no transitions for error, but I would like to send an email notification to the DW administrator incase of an error before suspending the process flow.My recomendation is to use additional PL/SQL procedure which will executed periodically (for example every 30 minutes, scheduled with DBMS_JOBS/DBMS_SCHEDULER),
    in this procedure you can use query on OWB public view (ALL_RT_AUDIT_EXECUTIONS) or workflow repository views/tables
    for identification failed steps/mappings (if you decide to use OWB public view) or "stucked" processflow (if you will use workflow views/tables,
    algorithm of identification stucked processflow you can see in workflow PL/SQL package WF_ENGINE, procedure ProcessStuckProcess).
    Using post-mapping is more expensive because you need modify each mapping which you want to monitor for fails.
    Example of query for identifiaction failed steps (PL/SQL prcoedures and mappings) within period of time datetime1..datetime2 with ALL_RT_AUDIT_EXECUTIONS
    select * from ALL_RT_AUDIT_EXECUTIONS where task_type in ('PLSQL','PLSQLProcedure')
    and NOT (return_result is null or return_result='OK') and :datetime1<=created_on and created_on<:datetime2

    Hi Patrick,
    Have look at my post on this thread from 28th August for a summary. You can take a look at the parameters of the conc request program for details (XDOREPPB). Here is the call to the submit_request API. You will need to set the values for arguments1-7.
    l_req_id := fnd_request.submit_request(

              ,program => 'XDOREPPB'
