Unauthorised "service change" on Sub Accounts

Having had some trouble accessing BTYahoo sub accounts from abroad I am checking them from time to time. Just now I was surprised that after login I was presented with a page that read:
Service Change
Thank you for changing services.
With this service change, you will be receiving the following level of service:
PRODUCT                           LEVEL OF SERVICE
Mailbox Storage                   Unlimited primary, Unlimited sub
Photo Storage                     Unlimited
Number of Sub Accounts      10
and then two option buttons Cancel or Continue
Not knowing what this "service change" is I didn't wish to Continue and perhaps opt into something by default without knowing exactly what it was - fully informed consent and all that -  so I hit Cancel.
Does anyone know what this "service change" is please? No Service change has been requested by the primary account holder, or by those who operate the Sub Accounts, so I am very uncomfortable that the "service" has been changed with no warning or request.   

Because only the primary account holder, the adminstrator of the account, is able to make changes to the level of service it is utterly pointless to interpose a web page that says merely "Thank you for changing services" and all the rest to any of the Sub account holders, with no details as to what has happened. It's bound to cause confusion, even anxiety, distress, and could trigger calls to the helpline, Care forums etc.
I've wasted loads of time, first investigating this, contacting sub account holders to ask if they have made any changes, then posting here, all because of BTs thoughtless incompetence, and lack of grip and foresight

    My "primary" email account already went through the verizonwireless annoyance now, one of my "sub" email accounts is locked due to excessive failed attempts. Ok, normally I can deal with that. However, when prompted to change password & security question - it is defaulting to my PRIMARY account NOT my SUB account.
    After going through the prompts and making the changes - my SUB account issue is still UNRESOLVED. Anyone else having this problem???

    Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you.
    Please go to your profile page for the forum, and look in the middle, right at the top where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.
    Under “My Support Cases” you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. This should be checked on a frequent basis as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions.
    To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe".
    Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.

    You are asking very strange question.
    System should take the GL account which you maintained in the OBVCU
    If you have any doubt, create one vendor invoice with this payment method and done payment.
    Go and check the accounting entry, there you should find the GL which you maintained in the transaction OBVCU

  • Make sub account the main account

    I have two BT mail accounts.
    I can access the main account via Thunderbird, but cannot get Thunderbird to recognise my sub account (I assume that sub accounts are not accessible via Thunderbird).
    It would suit my usage if I could change my sub account to be my main account so that I could work with it in Thunderbird.
    Any help, please.

    Thunderbird does work with sub-accounts. Just remember to rename the account name within Thunderbird, if you have more than one BT Internet accounts added.
    That makes sure that the second one you add, does not have the same name as the first.

  • Sub-account Permissions

    I just created a sub-account for my sons.  However, I noticed that the sub-accounts have the ability to modify my plan, DVR settings, etc.  Yet sub-accounts are restricted from paying the bill.  As the main account holder, how do I restrict the permissions of the sub-accounts?

  • Cloud Portal in sub accounts of HCP?

    we face an issue with the HANA Cloud Portal. We have a partner account where the portal is available. But due to test and development we also need the portal in several sub-accounts where we deploy our application.
    I couldn't find any self-service to enable the Portal service in the sub-accounts. Trying to subscribe the sub-accounts to the same applications (e. g. portal:nwc) that our main account is subscribed to doesn't work.
    I opened an incident with support a while ago and support assigned the portal to one of our sub-accounts quickly. But now I haven't heard from them several weeks and I urgently need the portal on three more sub-accounts.
    What are my options now?

    Sub-accounts do not get the self-service provisioning to Cloud Portal by default.

  • How can I change my work email (sub account) to my own verizon account?

      I want to keep my email intact. I have retired and my work sub-account needs to be changed to my personal account to make sure I don't lose it.

    And what happens if you leave Verizon because you move out of its service area?  I know, unlikely, but it happens.
    You can email your contact list from your old email account and merge with new account.   Look for a sharing function in your work email contact list. 
    You can then forward your work email to while you transition your contacts to your new email address.
    I Recommend switching to safe, public Gmail account.  Unlike Yahoo, it isn't over-run with spam.
    Gmail is free and will save all your contacts for use on any device.  As a way to move your information, going through gmail is very effective.
    You can use gmail as the default but still use Verizon email. This way your contact list is always saved in a public email account.

    If you know the password to the sub, you can log into it and change the password the same way as you would change the password for the primary.
    If you do not know the current password, you can try the forgot password link. Apparently this link is not the same accross all pages, and some of the links don't play well with sub accounts.     Make logging in easier for Sub-Accounts on this computer - when I click on this tab in the main email account it does nothing. It used to allow me to log into all my accounts easier by listing all email address's at log in, but for months I've had to type in each email address whenever switching emails. Can anyone help with this issue? Its on my verizon yahoo account.

    Hey dpg123, it sounds like someone accidentally click on save password when signing in.  You can try to reverse the issue by clicking onto Internet Option from the Control Panel.  On the General Tab under Browsering History click on the Delete button and you have to delete Temporary Internet Files, Cookies and Passwords on that pc.

  • Sub account allocation

    could one of the mods help with this..on BT yahoo mail i had 2 sub accounts used by my wife and daughter. when my mail moved to BT mail i gifted my daughter her email address but obviously didnt complete the process for my wifes.. i can change the password but when i try to log in it asks me to use a link from an email sent to the sub acount to verify a bt id. as i cant access the sub account this is no help. can the link be sent to another account..i assume i had to create a bt id for my wife but am not sure what that is either. when i go into manage email accounts i have 2 contacts my wife and daughter each showing the correct email address help please

  • Unable to reset password on sub accounts

    I'm struggling to change the password on a couple of sub accounts that my family has forgotten, unfortunately when I use the password resetter it seems to get confused. I checked to make sure the security info on my primary email address was correct.
    The password resetter seems to point me to the helpdesk but this only gives me more options that then send me back to the resetter.
    I rang the helpdesk but unfortunately after half an hour of messing around, the guy was difficult to understand, and when I asked him to email me the reset password on the first account he apparently was not able to email me. It seems that customer service do not have email facilities.
    Whilst I'm not overly bothered about the sub accounts I do have some that are important to me and not being able to easily change the password on them seems to me to be a major failing.
    I realise that this is not BT and the connection with yahoo is loose to say the least it does seem a shame that what should be a very simple task is being made very hard by a combination of language issues and technology not working correctly.
    I have tried the step by step but it just pointed me at teh same failing resetter function
    If anyone in the BT care team can help it would be very much appreciated.

    Sadly I mentioned the difficulty on that number right in the first message, I spent 30 minutes, they really didn;t know what they were doing and I had to give up. The conversation was very difficult as I could barely understand what was being said half the time. I asked the CSO to email the reset password to my primary email but this was not possible apparently they are fixing email but don;t have any access to email !
    I'll wait and see if anyone else has a solution before I call them again, perhaps a custoner care person may be watchin gand take pity on me otherwise i'll just email Ian livingstone and see what he's got to say ;-)
