Uncaught expectation index 5 5

Hai there is any body can help me ?
When I restarted my  , I got a message : uncaught expectation index..
I don't know what that mean , help me please

Hi there!
There's pretty much no diagnosing those -- they are the equivalent of the random errors in Windows for which tracing the root cause is fruitless. Basically, these are the last out in the programming code -- some event occurred for which there is no handler in the code. The fix is a code update that handles the event...but, again, knowing what the event is is pretty much impossible. So, there are a few things to try:
Sometimes, the code simply becomes corrupt and needs to be refreshed -- just like a reboot:
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
There might be an updated code set from the carrier -- check them via this portal:
 http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
The toughest possible cause is a badly behaving app. To find it, there are a couple of options. One is to see if you can read the log file:
Go to the home screen. Hold down the key and type 'lglg'. (You will not see anything while you type).This will bring up the log file. Scroll down (probably many pages) untill you see a line that says 'uncaught execption'. Click on this line. The name of the app will be in the info.
The other method is to remove apps one at a time, waiting a while in between (I usually recommend a week), until the problem ceases...thereby discovering the offending app.
Good luck and let us know!

  • Lost SMS Icon and get error message Uncaught exception Index 20 = 20

    Dear All
    I have lost my SMS Icon and looking at previous forums have carried out the following techniques which do not work
    1. I have gone to Messages - Options - SmS & Email Inboxes - Seperate but this does not solve anything
        Within this step i have switched off phone taken out battery etc...
    2. I have gone to Applications - menu - "show all" but my SMS icon cannot be found
    Just to note even when i go to Messages - View Folder - SMS Inbox .....i get the error message again
    Uncaught exception Index 20 > = 20
    Anyone able to help ? Would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    You may have already figured out your fix - but yesterday I went thru the same thing with my son's phone.  Overnight he lost his SMS & MMS Icon and was receiving Uncaught Exception Index 28 >= 28.  I called Verizon Tech Support and was told there was a corrupt file in the calendar.
    We backed up the phone using the Desktop Manager - performed a security wipe and restored his phone.
    His phone is back up and running as it should be.  Hope this helps.

    Try this first:
    On your BlackBerry device, go to:
    1. Options > Advanced > Host Routing Table > Menu > Register.
    2. Resend your service books from your carrier BIS site:
    From your handheld device:   http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15402
    Go to the Personal Email Set Up icon and log in. Then under Help!, select Service Books, then select Send service Books.
    From your desktop PC:  http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830
    North American Carriers - scroll down to select your carrier
    WorldWide Carriers - Find your carrier on the list
    3. With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot. This reboot, even if you have already done this, is often needed to install the service books.

  • Expected index out of bound exception

    my teacher give me this code:
    @Test(expected = IndexOutOfBoundsException.class)
      public void testShouldThrow() {
        OurList<String> list = new OurArrayList<String>();
        list.insertElementAt(1, "A");
      }I don't understand what he means by the expected = IndexOutOfBoundException.class
    I mean what he is trying to say here is that I can't insert an element at index 1 if index 0 is not yet filled. But I tried this code on j unit and it compiles?? Can somebody explain this to me

    I see..so the test passed because the indexOutOfBound
    worked. Can you tell me what does the syntax means?
    expected IndexOutOfBoundException.classWell I'm not so familiar with the annotation syntax and wasn't aware of JUnit having @Test(...) annotations, but I'd suggest reading up on JUnit at their website http://junit.org/index.htm
    But intuitively speaking, it means when the method terminates, the JUnit framework sees the return value or exception, and compares its class with the above. Basically they have a catch block behind the scenes something like this:
    catch (Throwable t)
      if (t.getClass() == expectedClass)
        testPassed();
      else
        testFailed();
    }where expectedClass in this case equals IndexOutOfBoundsException.class

  • Please Help!! Uncaught Exception: Index 0 =0 What's going on and how do I fix this?

    I am unable to use my phone, get to my contacts, etc. This message is on the display. I can remove the battery and re-insert and it goes away, but the moment I touch any key, the message is back!! I NEED to use my phone.

  • Selecting all columns makes oracle use more indexes than only selectng one?

    I have 3 queries here that differ only slightly, conceptually, but the plans are massively different. What I cant work out is that the difference is only in the select list.. The fields referenced in the where clause are properly indexed for this purpose
    SELECT
      scc.expiry_date
    FROM
      bw3.int_file_log_details  ifld
      INNER JOIN
      bw3.svc_card_status_change scsc
      USING
        (institution_number, file_number)
      INNER JOIN bw3.svc_client_cards scc
      USING
        (card_number)
    WHERE
      institution_number = '00000001' AND
      file_number = '00002504'This one above does a full table scan of SCC, over 3.5 million records
    SELECT
      card_number
    FROM
      bw3.int_file_log_details  ifld
      INNER JOIN
      bw3.svc_card_status_change scsc
      USING
        (institution_number, file_number)
      INNER JOIN bw3.svc_client_cards scc
      USING
        (card_number)
    WHERE
      institution_number = '00000001' AND
      file_number = '00002504'This one above does an index fast full scan of SCC's pk (which is cardnumber), as does doing a "SELECT null as dummy FROM..."
    SELECT
    FROM
      bw3.int_file_log_details  ifld
      INNER JOIN
      bw3.svc_card_status_change scsc
      USING
        (institution_number, file_number)
      INNER JOIN bw3.svc_client_cards scc
      USING
        (card_number)
    WHERE
      institution_number = '00000001' AND
      file_number = '00002504'This one above does the index range scan of the columns mentioned in the where clause and two index unique scans to link in IFLD and SCC (because they are joined on their PKs)
    I would expect all queries to run this way and completes in ~0.01 seconds
    Now, I get that oracle will sometimes use only an index instead of a table access when the requested data can be got from the index, but the actual query is pulling data from some columns not in indexes, so must be accessed in the table:
    SELECT
      scsc.card_prod_data as "Field1",
      substr(card_number,1,4)||' '||
        substr(card_number,5,4)||' '||
        substr(card_number,9,4)||' '||
        substr(card_number,13,4)||' '||
        substr(card_number,17) as "Field2",
      '                           ' as "Field3",
      scc.emboss_line_1 as "Field4",
      scc.emboss_line_2 as "Field5",
      TO_CHAR(TO_DATE(scc.last_issued_date, 'YYYYMMDD'), 'MM/YY ')||
        TO_CHAR(TO_DATE(scc.expiry_date, 'YYYYMMDD'), 'MM/YY  ')||
        '    ' as "Field6",
      'B'||
        card_number||
        '^'||
        RPAD('0', 27, ' ')||
        '^'||
        to_char(to_date(scc.expiry_date, 'YYYYMMDD'), 'YYMM')||
        service_category_code||
        '000000000000' as "Field7",
      card_number||
        '='||
        to_char(to_date(scc.expiry_date, 'YYYYMMDD'), 'YYMM')||
        service_category_code||
        '000000000000' as "Field8",
      card_number as "Field9",
      scsc.cvv_cvc2 as "Field10"
    FROM
      bw3.int_file_log_details  ifld
      INNER JOIN
      bw3.svc_card_status_change scsc
      USING
        (institution_number, file_number)
      INNER JOIN bw3.svc_client_cards scc
      USING
        (card_number)
    WHERE
      institution_number = '00000001' AND
      file_number = '00002504'This query above, which uses some data from all tables, does a table full scan of SCC, yet if I SELECT * FROM.. I get the expected index usage and table access by index rowid for all tables..
    Why is oracle doing an FTS when I choose only some columns, yet doing index access when I select * ?
    Edited by: charred on Oct 5, 2010 11:37 AM

    Selectivity of indexes?
    For a query linking these tables:
    int_file_log_details <-> svc_card_status_change <-> svc_client_cards
    I'm expecting Oracle to:
    Use an index range scan of the index on svc_card_status_change that is a nonunique index of institution_number and file number. Selectivity of this index is:
    1 institution number in the entire table
    59 distinct file numbers in the entire table
    4.1million records in the entire table
    From there, with the records it found, to use index unique scan of the PKs of int_file_log_details (file_number: 1 record required) and PK of svc_client_cards (card_number: poetntially thousands of records required)
    I can understand if oracle might decide it can get 69k records out of 4.1 million faster by FTS the cards table rather than having the indirection of the index... what I cannot understand is:
    If I select all the data from the query (SELECT *) it does unique index scans for the 2 records
    If I select say, only one non-indexed non-joined column from each table, oracle prefers a FTS of the cards table..
    Is oracle not realising that there are only 2 records I need out of cards? Why would select * differ? Is it that oracle thinks "select * is a large amount of data, so it'll be faster to use the index and target certain rows" vs "select one_column can be garnered more quickly by scanning the table and generating a lower overall memory load" ?

  • Why  it is taking full table scan when index is available

    Hi all,
    I am facing a strange problem with index.
    I created index on a column like
    1. CREATE INDEX ASSETS_ARTIST_IDX2 ON ASSETS(artist).
    SELECT asset.artist AS NAME FROM ASSETS asset WHERE asset.artist LIKE 'J%'
    Explain Plan : INDEX RANGE SCAN
    2. CREATE INDEX ASSETS_ARTIST_IDX2 ON ASSETS(UPPER (TRANSLATE (artist, ',;:"', ' ')));
    SELECT asset.artist AS NAME FROM ASSETS asset WHERE UPPER (TRANSLATE (artist, ',;:"', ' ')) LIKE 'J%'
              Explain Plan : TABLE ACCESS FULL
    first time it is taking index range scan,but in second situation scaning full table.Please let me know how to avoid the full table scan.
    Regards,
    Rajasekhar

    Actually, I misseunderstood damorgan' s statement about NULL and OP did not provide table definition. So based on FTS I would say it is more likely column is NULLable, otherwise I would expect INDEX FAST SCAN:
    SQL> create table emp1 as select * from emp
      2  /
    Table created.
    SQL> create index emp1_idx1 on emp1(empno)
      2  /

    SQL> exec dbms_stats.gather_table_stats('SCOTT','EMP1');
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

  • Index management in TREX

    Hello all,
    We have a webshop running and are using TREX for the product catalog. The catalog is replicated from ECC using program ISA_CATALOG_REPLICATION.
    Something seems to have gone wrong since there are a lot of indexes on TREX where there should only be a few. I'd like to cleanup the indixes on TREX. This can be done from the administration tool, but then ECC will not be notified and ECC will expect indexes on TREX that are no longer there. This will result in unsuccessfull replications as the cleanup will not work. If I do the cleanup from ECC using SRMO, I'd have to delete about 1900 indices manually. This would take about two years of my time
    The big question: is there a way to cleanup these indexes, and keep ECC and TREX in sync? A mass maintenance tool of some sort maybe?
    kind regards, Wilbert

    Hi Wilbert,
    The admin tool in ISA you are using is owned by ISA, right?
    That would mean you'd have to inquire there, if a mass deletion is possible - which it should, as TREX itself can handle as you can tell by the fact that the application-independent TREX Admin Tool gives you the option.
    Best,
    Karsten
