Undefined date

is there some sort of official undefined date.
in the database i write a client for there are datefields that can be null.
I also use a already existing datefield i have not programmed myself and it just leaves the previous date if i call setDate(null).

If the date field is nullable , then u can enter the date field as an empty String .
e.g.
String strDate = "";
if(request.getParameter("thisDate") != null || ( !request.getParameter("thisDate").euuals("") ) ){
strDate = request.getParameter("thisDate") ;
Then go for the next step as u r doing:
stmt.setDate(strDate);

When describe a view, datatype of few column shown as UNDEFINED and rest of columns are ok.
Also, on querying ALL_TAB_COLUMNS, Data_type is UNDEFINED and Data_length is 0. But we are able to query that view and it is showing correct data.

Undefined data download after viewing PDF's

Hi, and thanks in advance for any assistance. Everytime I view a PDF doc, in or outside a browser, a stream of download data begins and is unstoppable. In order to stop it I have to disconnect from my ISP and reboot my computer. This happens whether the PDF is downloaded or opened from my computer. Becoming very frustrating, specially considering that I am paying downloads by the MB. Adobe Reader 9.

Working with "true anything" data

Hi guys,
Sorry to bother you but I have an issue I want to get some feedback on;
While doing the logger for my application, I wanted to be able to send in all types of data from all over to it, then just save it. Of course we could just do it with a normal variant, but that would mean making a bunch of cases for when we want to recuperate the original data - not the most elegant approach, even more so if you wanted to make the Logger a universal VI, to be used in any application..
I hope I haven't lost you thus far;
So I was thinking about the following: instead of just converting it to a variant, we also take a pointer (Data Value Reference -DVR, I guess) and build a cluster/array of the 2 things. When we want to reconstruct the data, we would use the DVR that was passed along and voila.
"Works" in theory, but my problem is the Void Wire, that makes this impossible to be called. Well, I'm sending you the VI attached so I'm sure you'll understand it immediately when you have a look.
If I wasn't clear enough please let me know, and I apologize in advance for my labview "noobness" since I only really got into it in the last couple of months but it would be awesome if this could work. Next I'm looking into putting everything into a single variant and scanning the variant for the Data Value Reference field, jsut to let you know.

Thanks for your help so far.
I did already install and reinstall the client.
I get this error for some, also newly created users and for others on the same machine it works!
I think it is related to the trace file row:

This obviously leads to the conclusion that the data is outdated for the client.
The client and server are in the same timzone and also configured that way.
Any other ideas?

Data Types from Oracle Sample Schema

I was trying to push some data from an Oracle Sample schema (Schema: OE Table: Customers) to a target schema. The interface was erroring out because of undefined data types in the model.
I chkd the model, only to find that some of the data types were undefined.
I DESCribed the table in the using SQL Client, The data types returned were

To create MDSYS.SDO_GEOMETRY datatype, goes to Topology module, Oracle Techonology, Datatypes, and add a new datatype GEOMETRY. (try to fill all information fields with GEOMETRY and see what happens maybe you have to ajust this after but it is a start point).
add information in from and to tabs according your source and target desired tech.
Reverse againg your model, or change the datatype in the model datastore. Re-run your interface

About UNDEFINED data type, do you know what kind of object does it belong to?
I had the same question but when i queried the database dictionary UNDEFINED data type columns were columns of views with "INVALID" status.
If this is your case you may prefer to ignore this data type.
About ROWID columns i have the same concern as you, by now i have experimented with an initial load with 2 databases 11.2.0.3 with identical structure (datafiles, tablespaces), using GoldenGate 11.2.1 and had no problem, the ROWID data type colums loaded correctly.
I'll continue investigating and if you find out something any feedback would be apreciated.

Being picky, that's not C++, that's C. Standard headers in C++ dont' have .h after them, loop variables are scoped with the for, you use constants rather than #defines, etc..
C and C++ both don't initialise arrays by default; you'd have to write an initialiser to get it to zero out the array:
int s[sz][sz] = {};gcc will insert a call to memset to zero the array.
If the author was assuming that the array was zeroed out, there would be no point zeroing the first row and column.
The code reads values which haven't been initialised. If you mark such values explicitly undefined, and change the program to report an error when undefined, then you get several cases where the program makes such report.
So either it' s a primitive random number generator (some random number generators use uninitialised memory as a source of randomness), or it's buggy, or it's processing undefined data and throwing away the result. Either way, it cannot be directly be ported to Java if the undefined values (which are limited to a small area of the ouput) are significant.

Trouble with SQL datetime format

I have written a VI to import a CSV file into a SQL data table but I
cannot get it to work when using a table with "datetime" data
format. It will import into a new table with undefined data
formats as "varchar" format but no luck when going into a table with the "datetime" data
format. I need the datetime format for date/time queries later.
I have attached a zip file of my VI and the CSV file. Is there a problem with my CSV format or I am I doing
something else wrong here?

I have just tried to insert your data into a SQL Server (MSDE) database.
I found that the INSERT data didn't work. The TRUE for Create Table didn't seem to do any thing. So I created a table using labview like this
And this is its design.
I then run the vi again and it starts to work with no issues. So it looks like the Create Table?=TRUE for the INSERT doesn't seem to work on SQL Server. It looks like you need to create the table first.

Checkbox renderer

i have a data grid with one of its column having check box as
renderer.
check box is visible for only some rows based on a
condition.and this condition is in a function which is called from
updateDiaplayList() function.
but,the checkbox some how appears twice only for the first
row in the data grid.
