Underline when rolling over link

i have a long list of links and want to jazz it up a little,
how do i get the lines to appear under the link when the cursor
moves over it. Is it a css or something in behaviours?
Thanks

Pseudo-classes and container styles are what you need - here
are some

  • Can I get rid of the underlined hyperlink and just have roll-over links?

    In iWeb 2009, can I get rid of the underlined hyperlink and just have roll-over links?

    You have to put them on the server where you are publishing your site to. Where are you hosting your site? If it's a MobileMe account then you have two options:
    1 - put the photos in a folder, name it "Pics" and put that folder in your iDisk/Pictures folder. Then use the following URL: http://homepage.mac.com/YourMMe_Account_Name/.Pictures/Pic/FileName (don't forget the period before Pictures).
    2 - put the "Pics" folder with image files in your iDisk/Web/Sites folder and use the following URL: http://web.me.com/YourMMe_Account_Name/FileName.
    If you're hosting on a 3rd party server it would depend on if you're using a domain name or not. I'm not familiar with 3rd party servers so Wyodor, Ethmoid or someone that is will need to point the way.

  • Linked images "jump" when rolled over

    When rolling over an image being viewed on a page in IE/Mozilla, it seems to "jump" if it is linked to a larger version of the same image.  Am guessing it is a setting in Page Properties, but I believe I've changed just about everything with no luck.
    The actual code of an example is: <td width="250"><div align="center"><a href="http://www.meistersoftware.com/images/tmp_pkg.jpg"><img src="images/tmp_pkg_tn_f8.jpg" width="140" height="101" alt="sc tmp" /></a></div></td>

  • "Roll over" links

    I want all my links to be black at all times except when I
    roll over them, then I want them to be white,
    I have changed "roll over" links to white in "page
    properties", this works fine. But as soon as I change "visited
    links" to a different color than standard the roll over links
    won´t turn white anymore.
    Is there a way to fix this ??

    That means your rules are in the wrong order. All other
    things being equal,
    later rules override earlier rules. If you were specifying
    all four link
    states, you would do them in this order:
    link
    visited
    hover
    active
    If you're doing things via DW's tabs and not looking at the
    CSS code,
    specify visited rules before specifying hover rules.
    Have you worked directly with CSS at all? You need to find
    your a:visited
    code and move it.
    You need to put this:
    a:visited {
    [your rules]
    above this:
    a:hover {
    [your rules]
    Be sure to cut and paste the entire rule, including the
    closing curly
    brackets.

  • Pb with handCursor when rolling over text embedded in a MC

    Hi,
    I have a little pb when creating movieClip buttons containing
    a textField.
    Indeed when rolling over the button, and precisely rolling
    over the text contained in my button, the handCursor is replaced by
    the normal arrow. How can I prevent that? I mean having the
    handCursor displayed over the whole button, not only outside the
    textField areas?
    If you don't see what I mean, please consider the following
    simple code , you will see that when rolling over "HELLO" the
    handCursor disaoppears :
    import flash.display.MovieClip;
    import flash.text.*;
    var buttonClip=new MovieClip();
    buttonClip.buttonMode=true;
    buttonClip.useHandCursor=true;
    buttonClip.graphics.lineStyle(1,0x000000,100);
    buttonClip.graphics.beginFill(0xaaaaaa,100);
    buttonClip.graphics.drawRect(0,0,200,20);
    buttonClip.graphics.endFill();
    buttonClip.x=50;
    buttonClip.y=50;
    this.addChild(buttonClip);
    var texte=new TextField();
    texte.text="HELLO";
    texte.selectable=false;
    buttonClip.addChild(texte);
    Thanks for your help,
    Pascal

    I am having a similar problem. I was using MX 2004 and the
    hand cursor displayed over the whole movie, even on loaded movies.
    On movies that will be loaded over the base_level are loaded the
    arrow is never displayed, and is always a hand. When the movies are
    viewed separately the arrow changes to hand cursor as it should.
    With the exception of the base movie which is always the hand
    cursor. I did find code for mx2004 to correct this, but it would
    mean that i would need to add code to every instance on the stage
    across 6 loadedMovies, and the base level.
    Does the CS3 document class correct this action? If so, how
    do i find out what code to use.

  • Yellow pop up box when hovering over links missing in CC?

    The behavior when hovering over links in the Links Panel in CS6 was a yellow pop up box with the full path of the link displayed.
    I find that is not the behavior in CC and I am really missing that.
    Have I missed a setting somewhere to enable this in CC?

    That was it.
    Tool tips was not enabled. Enabling it brings back the yellow box. Didn't really think of that as a tool tip.
    Thanks

  • Yellow Box when hovering over links

    Hi All,
    I have read a few discussions surrounding the 'yellow box' that appears when hovering over links in safari. Last I read some time ago revealed this is an intergrated 'feature' of safari. Is this still the case?? Or have enough users complained to have this 'feature' squashed (fingers crossed.....)
    Thanks

    You may keep your fingers crossed.  Hovering produces the yellow information box.
    Ciao.

  • Why does FF6 jump up and down when hovering over links

    When the mouse cursor rolls over a link, FF6 jumps up about an inch. When I roll over again, it jumps down the same amount. It also sometimes happens on text boxes and other input items.

    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
    *Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

  • Hyperlink color doesn't change when hovering over link

    I create hyperlink, color I select for hovering over link works fine. But sometimes when I publish to my website the link color does not change, but the link works ok. I go back to my mac and check, sure enough the color changes just fine. I wipe out the link and reinsert new one. Works fine on the mac, but when I publish, color does not change when hovering. Help.

    Welcome to the discussions. This is a long shot, but try clearing your browser's cache and reloading the page — then see if the color changes when hovering. ( In Safari, click on the Safari menu and choose +Empty Cache...+ )

  • Craigslist pictures do not select when rolling over

    Used to be that when a craigslist ad had multiple pictures, rolling over the thumbnails would load that picture in the larger space above. Now nothing happens and if I click the thumbnail the picture loads but only the picture.
    thinking it is some add on I've recently added but I can't determine which add ons have been recently added/enables.

    You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
    You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
    *Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
    *Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
    *Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
    Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
    *Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
    "Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
    *Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Safari 7.0 problem when hovering over links

    Recently updated to Mavericks and Safari 7.0.  Now encountering a problem with my wordpress website www.robinmandel.net (and several other sites that use the same theme evince the same problem.)  Problem is: some links, both text and images, are now jumping around when moused over, making them impossible to click and disrupting the formatting of the page.  Same problem with Chrome.  Firefox works fine.  I've looked at my site on an older machine with Safari 6 and no problem.  Thoughts?

    Use another theme.

  • Grey Boxes when rolling over type in Illustrator CS5.5

    This is driving me insane. I have to have a solution as this is a work computer and I'm a designer who has deadlines to meet.
    Whenever I roll over, select, move or try to edit some type elements in Illustrator, the preview of the type flicks into grey boxes (see below).
    There's no cursor and I can't see what I'm typing nor can I be precise with the text placement.
    What is the problem and how do I fix it?

    By dock do you mean the Swatches panel? Have you tried the Delete Unused Panel Items action from the Action panel. They can also be in Symbols or Brushes but if you run the action it will delete them in order so that the color swatches are deleted last and if they were in a Symbol, Graphic Stlye or Brush with the original gone they should delete. Also make sure that everything is visible and unlocked.

  • The type seems fuzzy, and when rolling over a link the underline is sharp on both ends like a javelin. Can the type be sharpened up?

    I thought it was my computer that was out of wack, but it turns out it started happening when I upgraded to Firefox 5.

    If you have an advanced graphics card, Firefox tries to use hardware acceleration for your fonts as well as for other graphics tasks. This isn't always pretty. You might want to turn it off for now, and keep an eye on other threads here for future developments.
    orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Options > Advanced
    On the Advanced tab > General sub-tab > ''uncheck'' "Use hardware acceleration when available"
    Then restart Firefox. Does text look normal again?
