  • When atemping to use wifi hotspots FireFox does not redirect to login page.

    when trying to use a hot spot like in a hotel or airport (tmoble for one) will not redirect to login page. Nor can it find the page when I enter the DNS name. If I enter the IP address of the long in page then it can find it but not the subsequent pages that it calls by DNS.

    I am a Hotspot ISP and I am having this issue with Firefox on Linux devices. We use Colubris MSC-3300 as access controllers tied to a RADIUS server. Have tested all other browsers on Windows and Linux and they seem to work correctly, problem seems to be tied to Firefox on Linux (testing with Ubuntu 11.04). When I open Firefox the redirect to captive portal page works correcty. I enter my username and password and when it tries to send this information back to the controller I get a "connection was interrupted" error. I have gone into Preferences and turned everything off and/or on and still can't get this device to log in.

  • FireFox keep saying "unexpected error" when trying to print web pages.

    FireFox keep saying "unexpected error" when trying to print web pages. The print preview works OK, but when you try to print that "unexpected error" jumps up.
    Please email me on what to do to get FireFox to work.
    I don't see anything in the FAQ that might help me.

    Hi,
    Please also try this setting: Windows start menu or Control Panel > '''Devices and Printers''', right-click the printer > '''Printer properties''' > '''Advanced''', and select '''Start printing after the last page is spooled'''. In this case you can also close Firefox after spooling is over (usually much faster than direct printing), and printing will continue.
    Also as a general case, if you have security software (antivirus, firewall etc.) installed, you can try deleting all existing instances of Firefox and its related processes/files in all the different configuration modules/areas of the security software like process monitoring, sub/spawned process control, virtualization, HIPS etc., in addition to the security software's main configuration panel. Instead create new fully allowed/trusted rules for Firefox + its related processes in all the different modules/panels - a genuine/original Firefox installer as well as all the installed EXEs (Application) and DLLs (Application extension) are digitally signed by Mozilla Corporation (right-click > Properties > Digital Signatures). Even otherwise, some security software may also ask again when Firefox and/or its sub processes are started, and you may be able to allow/trust at that time. Please see [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Firewalls this].

  • Session Time Out and Redirect to login page - urgent

    My problem is I want to display alert message and redirect to the home page when session expires.
    Iam using TimeOutListener in my application as follows.
    public PhaseId getPhaseId() {
    return PhaseId.ANY_PHASE;
    public void beforePhase(PhaseEvent phaseEvent) {
         FacesContext facesContext = phaseEvent.getFacesContext();
    HttpSession sessionx = (HttpSession)facesContext.getExternalContext().getSession(false);
    if(sessionx == null) {
         FacesUtils.sessionCheck = true;
    String ampee = (String)((HttpServletRequest)FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().getRequest()).getAttribute("ampee");
    if(ampee != null && ampee.equals("ampee")) FacesUtils.sessionCheck = false;
    if(phaseEvent.getPhaseId() == PhaseId.RENDER_RESPONSE) {
         if(FacesUtils.sessionCheck){
         facesContext.getApplication().getNavigationHandler().handleNavigation(facesContext, "", "sessionExpired" );
         FacesUtils.sessionCheck = false;
    ExternalContext externalContext = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext();
              HttpServletRequest request = (HttpServletRequest) externalContext.getRequest();
              HttpSession session = request.getSession();
              if (session.isNew()) {
                   try {
                   String errorPageURL = externalContext.getRequestContextPath() +
                   "/index.jsf?errorpage=true";
                   externalContext.redirect(errorPageURL);
                   }catch(Exception e){
                        e.printStackTrace();
    here i have appended param errorPage=true...
    in jsp page i have used following code to get the param<% if(request.getParameter(errorPage)!=null && request.getParameter(errorPage).equals("true")){%>
    <script>alert("session expired");</script>
    <%
    %>
    Can any one help me how to Implement this?
    Do u know another way pls let me know...

    Consider using the Javascript setTimeout() function in conjunction with HttpSession#getMaxInactiveInterval(). The HttpSession#getMaxInactiveInterval() returns the remaining seconds of the session lifetime.
    Basic example:<script>
        setTimeout("alert('The session will timeout after one minute.')", <%= (session.getMaxInactiveInterval() * 1000) - 60000 %>);
    </script>I've given the client one minute (60000ms) extra time space to respond accordingly.
    Use this in combination with the following head:
    <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="<%= session.getMaxInactiveInterval() %>;url=login.jsf">which will redirect to login.jsf if the session is timed out. You can also redirect to another page of your taste, e.g. error.jsf or so.

  • Nexus Player won't redirect to login page

    I'm using a public hotspot to connect my Nexus Player to the internet, yet when I go to my browser and attempt to go to a webpage, under the knowledge it will redirect me to the signin page, it won't redirect me. I've had it connected to this same hotspot before, so I know it will work. I also have other devices, such as my phone and the laptop I'm typing this on connected to it. The laptop is actually connected to that hotspot right now. My Nexus Player is telling me that it has an Internet connection, but whenever I try to go to a webpage to try and get it to redirect me, it won't do it. I've attempted manually typing in http://xfinity.comcast.net/ as well as power cycling the device, forgetting the connection and re-connecting, etc... all to no avail.

    does anyone know how i can get prompted for the xfinity login page?

  • Unexpected error in SSO login page

    Hi all,
    We have a problem with our SSO, or with our LDAP directory, or with the way in which they work, not sure about. In the past we were using version 9.x and everything worked fine. Now we migrated to version 10.1.2.0.2 and we discovered that using the same functionality to register and log user is crashing. After a bit of debugging, the problem seems to be that the PASSWORD of the created users is encrypted using some Hash and retrieve in an array of bytes, insted of in plain text as before. In principle this shouldn't affect the way in which we use the LDAP & SSO, but for some reason, when the user tries to log in using the recently created user account and password, the SSO login page gives an "unexpected error" message. The SSO login page is the original page coming with the SSO infrastructure, no change at all on it.
    Any idea why this might happened? Is the some way to configure the SSO or the LDAP so they don't encrypt the user password? Any other possible config detail that we should check?
    Thanks in advance,
    Luis

    So after finding the log files on our SSO server, I found out the exact error message that the SSO was throwing was that the account was still not activate!!! Then I realized that we started to make use of the "Start date" LDAP field recently, and event when the date was set to the current date when the account was created, the time was set to 0s, event when the current time was also passed to the LDAP. I don't know what's the reason why the LDAP didn't get our time, passing the date-time with the format the LDAP was asking for (yyyyMMddHHmmssz), but just by rolling one day back the start date, the user accounts were automatically activate when they're creating, solving our problem.
    Regards,
    Luis

  • Java Script Errors on Siebel Sales and Call Center Login Pages

    Once we enter our login credentials and click the login button or press Enter nothing happens. No Siebel errors are shown and the login page does not react. No additional IE errors are thrown either.
    As mentioned earlier, this does not happen to everyone that tries to log in to Trial. This also does not happen in Dev or Prod. Also, this only occurs in Thin Client. We are able to log into Thick Client which leads me to believe it is a web server issue.
    Has anyone ever seen this behavior beenbefore and what would cause this to occur?
    Thanks,
    Andrea Thomas

  • Running into Exception while Creating new Login Page for Security

    Hi,
    I am following ADF Developers Guide to create a new login page ,so that whenever a page is run , first it redirects to Login page first and on Button click it
    goes to the Original page which was run.
    This is my Login bean code for doLogin()
    public String doLogin(){
    String un = _username;
    byte[] pw = _password.getBytes();
    FacesContext ctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    HttpServletRequest request = (HttpServletRequest)ctx.getExternalContext().getRequest();
    try {
    CallbackHandler handler = new URLCallbackHandler(un, pw);
    Subject mySubj = weblogic.security.services.Authentication.login(handler);
    weblogic.servlet.security.ServletAuthentication.runAs(mySubj, request);
    ServletAuthentication.generateNewSessionID(request);
    //String loginUrl = "/adfAuthentication?success_url=/faces/viewactivityname";
    //sendForward(loginUrl);
    } catch (FailedLoginException fle) {
    FacesMessage msg = new FacesMessage(FacesMessage.SEVERITY_ERROR,"Incorrect Username or Password","An incorrect Username or Password" +" was specified");
    ctx.addMessage(null, msg);
    setPassword(null);
    } catch (LoginException le) {
    reportUnexpectedLoginError("LoginException", le);
    return null;
    Now the Dev guide says that :: "Specifically, without specifying a view activity as the
    redirect target, command components, such as the commandButton
    component, will always return to the original page after login."
    Hence I have commented out the code for the call to sendForward().
    As soon as I press the button I am running into an error :: "javax.faces.el.EvaluationException: java.lang.NullPointerException"

    b) Created a Custom Login Page say Login.jspx and created a DataBound Page say EmpDetails.jspx
    c) Made sure that My Login page is custom Login Page
    d) Command Button has the Action Property set to LoginBean.doLogin
    e) Configured security and has only one user, no roles and assigned the user to access the page
    e) When I run EmpDetails.jspx , I am redirected to Login page as expected but as soon as I press
    Login "CommandButton" it throws this error.
    Any pointers.
    Regards,
    Nikhil Misra

    Hi Puthanampatti,
    In that ase what would be my sendForward() mthod look like.
    Currently as per the Dev guide it is :
    private void sendForward(String forwardUrl) {
    FacesContext ctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    try {
    ctx.getExternalContext().redirect(forwardUrl);
    } catch (IOException ie) {
    reportUnexpectedLoginError("IOException", ie);
    ctx.responseComplete();
    I understand tat there would be change in parameters like sendForward(HttpServletRequest request,HttpServletResponse response,String forwardUrl),
    but how would the other parameters work.
    Regards,
    Nikhil Misra

    Hi,
    According to your description, I understand that cannot login ECP with error “500 Unexpected Error”, however OWA works fine.
    I want to confirm some points, please help to collect the answers for following questions to narrow down the issue:
    1. Are all account or some special accounts experience this question?
    2. Is it works before?
    Firstly, please run following command by EMS to double check whether all services works fine:
    Test-ServiceHealth
    Secondly, please open IIS manager to recycle “MSExchangeECPAppPool” or run “lodctr /r” and “iisreset” as administrator in cmd on all exchange servers.
    Additional, we can rebuild the ECP virtual directories, for your reference:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff629372(v=exchg.141).aspx
    If the issue still exists, we can collect the IIS log except the event warning log.
    Best Regards,
    Allen Wang

  • How to get requested (target) URL from login page jsp.

    Hi,
    How can I get requested (target) URL from within login jsp page where unauthenticated user was redirected.
    IN other words I need to get target URL that user requested before he was redirected to login page.
    In Weblogic there is "j_target_url" session attribute for this purpose.
    Does NetWeaver have analogue?
    Thanks in advance.

    hi Alex,
    NWDS provides Authentication through Pre defined properties,

    Thanks for the responses!
    I think we've isolated the problem to 3 invalid packages - PORTAL.WPG_SESSION_PRIVATE, PORTAL.WWERR_API_ERROR_UI, PORTAL.WWSEC_OID. These, of course, are needed to establish a portal session and log in, which is probably the source of the servlet error.
    At this point, I am feeling pretty dead in the water. I have tried to recompile these, but the error I get is meaningless: PLS-00801: internal error [pkg_read_hex:ran out]. I have opened an SR with Oracle, run the Portal Diagnostics tool and pretty much come up empty.
    Does anyone know how I might be able to extract just these 3 packages (or just the Oracle Portal packages) from another portal instance or from a backup? Unfortunately, our last good full backup is a bit older than I expected (long story) and would result in significant lost work if we restored the entire schema.
    Thanks again!
