Unhandled Exception thrown

hi,
running on W2003 SP 2, CRXI's java and activex viewers throw an exception (over the obligatory white screen). First time running on this particular box.  The activex add-in does show as enabled in IE6.
Actual error:
Unhandled exception at 0x33dbf8e7 in iexplore.exe: 0xC0000005
access violation reading location 0x0000004c.
this appears when VS2005 is allowed to attempt a debug.
Tried the same routine on a different W2003 SP2 machine earlier this week without incident.
Any ideas on what gives?
thanks.

If you're using the CR Java SDK, post your query to the Java Development - Crystal Reports forum:
SAP Crystal Reports, version for Eclipse
Else, provide more info on what CR SDK you are using
Also, exact version of CR (Help | About)?

  • Unhandled Exception when launching Company Settings Center or UevSqmSession.exe

    Hi there,
    using UE-V 2.0 we get some errors. Currently we're still evaluating and therefore only have 5 installations. 2 out of them do have unhandled exceptions thrown. I think UevSqmSession is starting by task scheduler:

    Is there anybody else experiencing this issue ? Can MS please have a look ?

    Is this error just for this message, or all messages?
    Is the xml valid against the payload. You will need to use a tool like XML spy to check.
    Are you able to see the response coming back, if so does it conform to the response schema.
    cheers

    Below are more details about the above mentioned issue.We have created a new user and assigned the oc4jadmin roles to it.
    we are trying to deploy the soa order booking application projects from jdev 10.1.3.1.0.We could deploy all the other modules except the following:
    FullFillmentESB
    OrderBookingESB
    OrderBookingBPEL
    Is this an issue with configuring the new user which we using to deploy the soa order booking application.Although we could create Application Server Connection And Integration Server Connection Successfully(tested) with new user credentials.
    When we opened the ESB console we could see the default system and bpel system.
    SOA Suite is installed on Windows Platform on a Remote System.
    Thankx
    peter.

    I solved the issue by freeing up the space in my AIA OC4J server. When SOAserver does not have sufficient space you get this error. Please make sure atleast you have 2% free unused space on the server while deploying.

    If there is any way to get detailed error either log file or event viewer.
    Kindly advice to find the cause of the problem.

    Hello,
    Are you impersonating your code? Have you tried to debug your code by attaching SPUCHostService.exe? if not please do so.
    You also need to check ULS log for more information about this error. Here is one ref link if this could help

    Hi,
    What version of CRM you are using? Does this happen when you open the case record?
    We have faced the similar for Account record and was solved using below query. I am not sure about incident.
    Update ACC
    SET ACC.Merged = 0
    from AccountBase ACC
    WHERE ACC.merged is null
    Do you have case merge option enabled on incident entity? As per the MS it is enabled for CRM 2013 SP1 and CRM 2015.

  • Building CS4 Virtual App throws Unhandled exception

    I've done a snapshot of CS4 on a VM (no tools installed).
    When I try to build the app I get a Unhandled exception has occurred.
    Exception type "SystemOutofMemory was thrown"
    My VM has 2GB ram. I am using no vmtools on this occasion since I read in
    the forums someone had success with that. It makes no difference with the
    error whether I have vmtools installed or not.

  • Ai::UnicodeString.as_Platform throwing Unhandled exception

    Hi
    I'm trying to read layer titles from an AI file using the following code, but the application keeps on throwing an Unhandled exception Access violation reading location error.
    Here's the code. This code populates a list box with the layers in the AI file, the line with throws an error is in bold.
         ADMItemRef objLayersLB = sADMDialog->GetItem(dlg, kLayersListBox);
        ADMListRef objLayersListRef = sADMItem->GetList(objLayersLB);
        long count = 0;
        int intLayerIndex;
        int intTempSize;
        AILayerHandle currentLayer;
        ai::UnicodeString layerTitle;
        //Set the list box to be multi select
        sADMItem->SetItemStyle(objLayersLB, kADMMultiSelectListBoxStyle);
        // add each layer to the list
        sAILayer->CountLayers (&count);
        //Firstly we need to clear the list
        while(sADMList->NumberOfEntries(objLayersListRef)>0)
            sADMList->RemoveEntry(objLayersListRef, 0); //Remove the first entry
        for (intLayerIndex = 0; intLayerIndex < count; intLayerIndex++)
            IADMEntry objListEntry(sADMList->InsertEntry(objLayersListRef, intLayerIndex));
            sAILayer->GetNthLayer (intLayerIndex, &currentLayer);
            sAILayer->GetLayerTitle(currentLayer, layerTitle);
            // calling this function with NULL as the second param gets you the length of the name
            char buffer[255];
            char * temp = &buffer[0];
            intTempSize = layerTitle.as_Platform(temp, NULL); //error thrown on this call
            // using the above we can make sure we only copy the correct num of chars
            //layerTitle.as_Platform(temp, intTempSize);
            objListEntry.SetID(intLayerIndex);
            objListEntry.SetText(temp);
    This code works correctly against the CS4 SDK, but not against the CS3 SDK.
    Is the ai::UnicodeString a valid parameter type for the CS3 SDK; I've seen some examples of char arrays being passed in, however I've not been able to get that working as it expects a UnicodeString type.
    This is the error that is thrown after executing that line of code:
    Unhandled exception at 0x5e887a5e in Illustrator.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x5e887a5e.
    The error is thown if I use the CS3 SDK compliled plug-in against Illustrator CS3 and CS4, however the CS4 SDK compiled plug-in works without error against Illustrator CS4 (it does not load at all against Illustrator CS3 which is understandable).
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you.

    Hi
    After hours of digging about, I finally tracked down the problem. In my aquiring of the suites, i had:
    kAILayerSuite, kAILayerSuiteVersion9, &sAILayer,
    The normal kAILayerSuiteVersion in CS3 SDK refers to kAILayerSuiteVersion10. Seems I was referencing an older suite version. Changing it to:
    kAILayerSuite, kAILayerSuiteVersion, &sAILayer,
    has solved the problem.

    Is the instances tab the only tab you have problem with? e.g. is your services list up and running normally?
    I ran into similiar problems during development. In my instance the problem was caused by the fact that the USERS tablespace was full. by default the IRCA script installs everything in the USERS tablespace instead of creating a seperate tablespace for the ESB repository. The same goes for the Webservice manager. OWSM. This repository is also installed in the USERS tablespace.
    I doubled the size of the USERS tablespace and after that my instances tab worked fine again.
    This bug has been identified by Oracle and this will be fixed in 10.1.3.3. I believe.
    In the meantime I modified the IRCA install scripts ( using the ORABPEL scripts as a guideline ) the next time I create an ESB repository.

  • FRM-40735:WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-06502

    Hi,
    I am trying to run a form in which I have a button which when pressed should display another popup window with few text fields in it. I have a WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger on that particular button and its raising an exception called
    FRM-40735: WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-06502.
    When I debug the form with breakpoints its displaying the popup window correctly, but if I run it in a browser as soon as click the button it raises the Unhandled exception given above.
    Can anyone help with this? Urgent please....
    Thanks

    It is VERY good to handle your exceptions, specially a certain pre-defined exceptions like NO_DATA_FOUND, TOO_MANY_ROWS, ZERO_DIVIDE etc...
    You can also find samples on how to create user-defined exceptions, just search the online forms help (press the question mark in forms builder) for "User-Defined"
    But however you handle your exception never ever do
    WHEN OTHERS THEN NULL;If you do that you are telling to forms that no matter what kind of error is thrown do nothing, now that's very dangerous.
    You might also want to check Oracle's documentation on [url http://www.oracle.com/pls/db102/portal.portal_db?selected=5]Application Development and do a search on "Exception Handling"

    Any help?

    We are having the same issue - our worker role just recycles with this "Unable to cast transparent proxy to type 'Microsoft.WindowsAzure.ServiceRuntime.Implementation.Loader.RoleRuntimeBridge'." error.
    We can't really put a breakpoint in CreateConsoleRole and Main - that's Microsoft code from the Azure SDK.
    Not sure why this was marked as answered.

  • Main thread isAlive() after an unhandled exception

    It appears that the main thread is "magic" in some way; after main() dies from an unhandled exception, isAlive() still reports true and join() waits forever for the (now moribund but apparnetly undead) main thread to die.
    Is there any way to detect (reliably) whether main() is really alive, as opposed to being some sort of zombie?
    Some code which demonstrates the problem:
    public class Termination {
    public static void main (String args[]) {
    Waiter w = new Waiter();
    w.start();
    try {
    Thread.currentThread().sleep(1000);
    catch (InterruptedException e) { }
    throw new RuntimeException("Bang!"); // the thread is still
    } // alive after this???
    class Waiter extends Thread {
    Thread t;
    public Waiter () {
    t = Thread.currentThread();
    public void run () {
    while (t.isAlive()) {
    System.out.println("Waiting for " + t);
    try {
    t.join(500);
    catch (InterruptedException e) {
    System.out.println("Interrupted");
    System.out.println("Joined " + t);
    System.out.println("Terminated: " + t);
    }

    This is not necessarially a solution or answer to your question, but an observation.
    The scope from whence the thread was spawned is main, main itself executes to completion. When the exception is caught, main is no longer executing once finally() is called. However, the Thread that is spawned is still alive and well, it continues to interact with itself. The thread needs to be destroyed. Check out my changes.
    Main is "dead" when the exception is thrown, and caught is called or if finally is defined it is called, I believe.
    public class Termination {
        public static void main (String args[]) {
            Waiter w = new Waiter();
            w.start();
            try {
                Thread.currentThread().sleep(1000);
            } catch (InterruptedException e) {
                w.destroy();  //destroy child thread
                //throw new RuntimeException("Bang!");
        class Waiter extends Thread {
            Thread t;
            public Waiter () {
                t = Thread.currentThread();
            public void run () {
            while (t.isAlive()) {
                System.out.println("Waiting for " + t);
                try {
                    t.join(500);
                } catch (InterruptedException e) {
                    System.out.println("Interrupted");
                    System.out.println("Joined " + t);
            System.out.println("Terminated: " + t);

    I'm using VS 2012, looking at some code I wrote some time ago. For some reason I cannot view the XAML in the design view, only the XAML view. I'm getting an error that says, "An Unhandled Exception has occurred". I can compile the solution fine,

    I stopped when I saw stuff about databinding.
    I guess your problem is you have code in your constructor.
    A prameterless constructor of a view will be called by the designer.
    This is probably trying to use things which aren't there at design time.
    You can mock them or just exit out the constructor if you're in the designer.
    public YourUserControlConstructor()
    InitializeComponent();
    if (DesignerProperties.GetIsInDesignMode(this)
    return;
    // Dependent code which produces errors

    Hope that helps.
