Unable to print 'Chinese' through JavaScript.....It is throughing Unicode

I am unable to display 'chinese' characters through Javascript. For example the following statement is giving unicode characters, rather than chinese.
alert("<%= bundle.getString("welcome")%>");
The following statement giving Chinsese output as expected.
<%= bundle.getString("welcome") %>
Inorder to output 'Chinese' through JavaScript, what have to i do ??

I have tested the situation that you mentioned. It is ok to call javascript to display chinese.
Have you forget to add following line ?
<%@ page contentType="text/html;charset=utf-8" %>
By default, jsp use ISO_8859_1 as charset.
Also you can download the following package and check whatever your chinese bytes are correct by using printBytes() .

Photoshop CC 2014 can't find JavaScript plug-in for Photomerge
Hello,
I'm trying to use the Photomerge tool in Photoshop CC 2014 on my computer (Windows 7, 64-bit) and am getting an error that says "Could not complete the Photomerge command because Photoshop was unable to find the JavaScript plug-in." The same thing happens with Lens Correction and Merge to HDR Pro. I have the most recent update of Photoshop CC 2014.
Per other suggestions in these forums about this issue, I have tried:
Turning off my virus protection in case it was preventing the program from accessing the scripts per this tip
Downloading and following the instructions on Adobe's site here to copy an additional Scripting folder to my Photoshop program folder
Uninstalling and reinstalling the program, followed by a system reboot
Talking to Adobe customer support (who tried to solve the problem for well over an hour and also uninstalled and reinstalled the program)
It looks like the Photomerge file is in the right place (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2014\Presets\Scripts):
And so I am now out of ideas on how to fix this. Anyone have any suggestions?

hi, i have this problem: when i try to open different things, like photomerge or libraries, i see always this message: "photoshop don't open ... because was missing javascript plug-in".
Please tell me a solution, i reinstalled but nothing.

How is the length of a string calculated in Java? and JavaScript?
Hi all,
Do any of you know how the length of a string is being calculated in Java and JavaScript? For example, a regular char is just counted as 1 char, but sometimes other chars such as CR, LF, and CR LF are counted as two. I know there are differences in the way Java and JavaScript calculate the length of a string, but I can't find any sort of "rules" on those anywhere online.

code points. Unicode characters outside the BMPare
encoded in Java as two or more code units. So it would seem that in some cases, a single
"character" on the screen, will require two charsto

account for that? That sux. I don't know. I'm just making infrerences (==WAGs) based on what DrClap said.
I assume it would return the number of chars in the array, rather than the number of symbols (glyphs?) this translates into. But I might have it bass ackwards. -

Problem with javascript/PHP/ oracle 10g smart quotes
I have a problem with my php form that passes the text field to a javascript object. When I copy text from MS Word that includes smart quotes, the form inputs that into the database as ? (upside down) marks. The charset of the DB is WE8MSWIN1252. How do I store these smart quotes as regular quotes? And also if I can do any conversions on the front end (js or php). I tried doing some conversion but to no avail. Any help would be appreciated thank you. “double”
Decide if you want your HTML pages in Windows code page 1252 or Unicode UTF-8. Then, make sure the pages are properly tagged as either "text/html;charset=windows-1252" or "text/html;charset=utf-8". Use HTTP header Content-type or the corresponding <META HTTP-EQUIV=...> tag. Then, set NLS_LANG environment variable for your PHP engine to either AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8MSWIN1252 or to AMERICAN_AMERICA.AL32UTF8, depending on which encoding you selected for your HTML.

Photoshop CS5 is unable to find the JavaScript plug-in.
I have been trying to run a number of actions in CS5 (Windows 7) and keep getting the error "Could not complete the command because Photoshop was unable to find the JavaScript plug-in." It does this with an action that was designed for me to put the filename, copyright symbol, and studio name on 4x5 proofs. It also comes up when I try to use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl/Shift/W to close a file and go to bridge. There have been some other batch operations that will not load.
I have downloaded Java; trashed the Preferences in Photoshop and Bridge; and also uninstalled and re-installed CS5 and none of this has worked. Any ideas of what to do next?

Trouble loading pages in Safari 1.3.2 (maybe due to a javascript problem?)
Hi!
I'm wondering if anyone could offer advice on how to fix a problem I'm having with my web browsers. I can't seem to load certain pages (e.g., Amazon.com). The browser loads most of the page, but then gets stuck on the last item and never finishes loading (so the whole page stays blank). I'm having the same problem in Safari, Firefox, and Internet Explorer. I think it may be a javascript problem. When I turn the javascript option off in Safari, I have no trouble loading the pages. Also, when I look at the safari activity monitor while opening those trouble pages, the .js files are the ones that don't load.
Things I've tried include emptying the browser cache, resetting cookies, emptying my java cache in the utilities section, and making sure all of my software is up to date.

Do you have a style sheet [ CSS ] you are using in Safari-> Advanced Tab? if yes set it to none, and see if that helps.
Whilst in Advanced tab check your network settings & make sure you've no proxies checked on.
In " View " Check your Text encoding try using Unicode.
Have you tried a restart,if the puter that can help.
Have you run permission repair and see if DU reports any errors.
In Utilities Disk Utility, First Aid tab. do not bother with verify perm.
do run repair permissions. Stay on the left side of the Disk Utility
< [ not repair disk ] if you know already, sorry.

Uncaught Javascript Exception during create file phase of Merge to HDR Pro.

I am trying to create an HDR file from several large merged panoramas, and everything seems to go very well whichever options I select until the point comes when photoshop tries to create the final file. The individual layers of the HDR are 40188x6848 and saved as PSB files, when loaded they fill the entire 8Gb of memory in my machine.
I am using Windows Vista 64, my graphics card is unsupported and so turned off, I have photoshop setup to use 3 scratch disks, and it appears to be using around 40Gb on the first one and none on others.
Provide concise, step-by-step details on how to reproduce the issue you are seeing.
Select File > Automate > Merge to HDR Pro
Select the 5 HDR layer files, check attempt to automatically align layers
Make a cup of tea, you're in for a wait.
Set the EV levels of the files
Select any options you want from the next panel, I've tried most of them by now.
Sit back and wait for the following screen:

Per my private message, the "uncaught JavaScript" exception is something we've seen and have yet to determine a cause or solution.
Would you please try the following.
• Do you have following Preferences > Interface settings ON? If they're OFF, does it work if you turn them on?
- Open Documents as Tabs
- Enable Floating Document Window Docking
• Does Merge to HDR work for you at all with smaller files (such as those in the sample set inside the application folder for CS5)?
• Do other scripts work for you, specifically...
- File > Scripts > Load Files into Stack... ?
- File > Automate > Photomerge...?

The HDR screen image preview going black is a known issue related to low-system memory conditions that we have been working on a solution for.
In the meantime, the workaround would be to lower Photoshop's memory usage from your current (72%) down to as low as (50%).

What was the "entirely new error message"? And is the Uncaught Exception the "standard" message?

BSP-App not working after upgrade to Netweaver 7 / Javascript error
Hey Gurus,
after our upgrade the BSP Application which runs before the upgrade now displays just a plain-Design - not the Design2003 and i got Javascript errors. This results in no function whatsoever.
Maybe someone have tipps what to look for (customizings, etc) to get this back runing?

Is there a way to trigger batch process via Applescript or Javascript?
Based on what I've found so far on the internet, the answer is no. The Applescripts I've found so far that attempt to run a batch process don't work for me in either Acrobat Pro 8 or Pro 9.
I've been using Applescript to automate a process that starts in InDesign (create PDFs), then goes to Acrobat to set open options (I've got a batch process for that but can't find a way to trigger it). If I can get that to work, I'll attempt to automate the task of using a Photoshop droplet to create JPEGs of a specific size from these PDFs.
I've settled on InDesign CS3 for creating single-page PDFs from a multiple-page document, partly because I could not find a scriptable way to do this in Acrobat. I know just enough about Applescript to be dangerous. I know much less about Javascript.
Any help would be appreciated.

Character encoding problems when using javascript client-sdk for remoting
Hi,
I have recently downloaded LCDS to try. I was interested in using Javascript for remoting. I have a Java-based web application on the server side, and use HTML + Javascript (dataservices-client.js) to send/receive messages asynchronously in AMF format.
I can both send and receive data (not only simple types, but objects with several attributes), however when I receive data from the server side that contains special chars (e.g. á, ï), I get some gibberish in my javascript objects. This is not same when I send content to the server: All special characters are received (printed) correctly in Java (server side).

Is there any bug on the serialization?
My software version is Adobe LiveCycle es_data_services_JEE_4_7_all_win

In my attempts, I tried using AMFX serialization so that I could see the message in a more comprehensible format inside my browser (eg using firebug). After configuring an HTTP channel and destination in the server side, and adjusting accordingly in the client side code, the Javascript API still sends binary!
Sadly, I concluded that client-SDK isn't mature enough...
By the way, if you send an String like "á" from the server, in the client you get "á"... instead of the raw "á" ... they forgot escaping.hey,
I had a similar experience. I was interfacing between 4.6 (RFC), PI and ECC 6.0 (ABAP Proxy). When data was passed from ECC to 4.6, RFC received them incorrectly. So i had to send trimmed strings from ECC and receive them as strings in RFC (esp for CURR and QUAN fields). Also the receiver communication channel in PI (between PI and RFC) had to be set as Non unicode. This helped a bit. But still I am getting 2 issues, truncation of values and some additional digits !! But the above changes resolved unwanted characters problem like "<" and "#". You can find a related post in my id. Hope this info helps.. -
How to use character styles in the Find/Change JavaScripts?

My Find/Change JavaScripts are running into trouble at line 159 of the ExtendScript Toolkit. The script is searching for a particular font, to which it should then apply a character style. I'm using the format I see in Adobe's "FindChangeList" sample text, but the script is still hitting a wall. What am I doing wrong? I'd like to have a working method for searching, not only for fonts, but also for finding a particular character or paragraph style and then applying a new style.
Simple stuff, but I'm roadblocked.
Here is the script so far:

Gary NiemeierYou are absolutely correct. I don't know how those spaces got there! I copied the text from the "FindChangeList.txt" document, but somewhere along the way, a software program "helpfully" added the spaces. (Rest assured, it wasn't copied from AppleScript. I stick with JavaScript.) Anyway, the script now runs like a charm.

One thing, though, if Adobe is reading this: please flesh out the "FindChangeList.txt" file for those who are not programmers/scripters. I'm just a normal InDesign user, and I really need examples of basic syntax in order to use the "Find/Change" script correctly. I'm referring to the syntax involved with finding or changing text with a certain character or paragraph style. I often search for styles, and those properties should be provided in the help file. A couple of samples are all that's needed. (I did read through the JavaScript reference guide provided by Adobe, and even in the "Find/Change" section, it did not provide this information!). Furthermore, I often search text for a specific font. Why isn't this syntax included as well? It would easy to do and would save users a lot of fumbling around.

EURO sign not displayed correctly after unicode migration

Don't know where exactly to post this, in BI forum or Netweaver Platform.
But here is my question:
We have migrated our SAP BW 3.5 (NW04, SP20) system from codepage 1100 (using general fallback codepage 1160) to unicode UTF-8. After the conversion graphic reports (using internet explorer) do not show the euro sign correctly in the unicode system. In stead of the euro sign a # is shown in the internet explorer window. When looking at the source of the same web page however the euro sign is showed correctly.
When looking at the encoding of the web page it is mentioned that utf-8 is used...
Any ideas...?

It is with displaying of graphical data that the error occurs. Text data (tables) on the same web page are shown normally, with the correct euro sign.
When I look at the source of the web page it looks that for the graphic a java script is being called:
/sap/bw/Mime/BEx/JavaScript/JSBW_C_Std.js
Withing the coding I see the euro sign normally, however in the graphical display this is converted to #.
I have run the suggested query. The database nls_characterset is set to UTF8.
