Unit of Measure Calculation in Query

Hi,
I have a few calculated keyfigures in my query for example:
whats happening:
KEY 1= Standard Price * Qty A = Output in (LBS) Qty unit of measure
What I want is:
KEY 1= Standard Price * Qty A = Output in $
How can i fix that on the query level so that my output is in $
Thanks

  • Unit of Measure conversion in query runtime

    Hi all,
I am attemoting to utilise the ability to convert key figure quantities in BI7, at query runtime by using a user entry variable and a conversion type.
Does anybody know of any decent documentation as to how to configure this?  The SAP help documentation seems both confusing and inaccurate.
My data records contain key figures with unit 0BASE_UOM and conversion between units for each Material code are held in 0MAT_UNIT.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi
My feeling is when you do conversion on aggregated level(multiple products), if any of the product has UOM missing then you coversion fails on aggregted level.
It looks strange that UOM conversion looks fine when you do conversion on each product.
I suggest you to check whether the UOMs (that you want to convert)are updated correctly on each product on their repective location in the product master under UOM tab.
    regards

  • Unit of measure for calculation type C must be completed

    Hi All
When releasing some contracts in SRM , we are getting the error message as above.
The error message doesn't specify any particular part and the contract has more than 3000 parts.
There are no conditions at header or item level.
There is no Target quantity also. Just a Target value for the contract and prices for individual items are maintained.
We are using extended classic scenario and the contract is manually created in SRM.
I have checked the OSS notes for this error, but they are mostly for contract creation in Bidding and not for a manually created SRM contract.
We checked the UOMs for all the contract parts with the UOMs ( Base and Purchasing) in ECC Material Master and they are OK.
In our scenario , MM changes in ECC are replicated to SRM in real time
Any pointers towards pin pointing the error will be rewarded!

    Kedar

    Hi,
We encountered this error message and resolved the problem by applying the following 3 SAP Notes:
    a)     Note #1022928 - Unit of Measure for Calculation Type C Must Be Completed
            (Previously Mentioned)
    b)     Note #1702484 - Unit of Measure for Calculation Type C Must Be Completed
    c)     Note #1517648 - Default Conditions Added for Product Category Item Type
Although the contract required is similar to a "Limit" item, but had to be placed for bid, then the RFX PS Item Type was set to "Service" to receive the bid responses.  After accepting the bid response, then we created a contract from the bid response.  Since it was to be a "Limit" type contract, then we immediately removed the data from the following fields:
    Remove the Quantity
    Remove the Unit of Measure
    Remove the Price
    Remove the Price Condition
After removing the values from these fields, then we switched the PS Item Type from "Service" to "Product Category".  We added the Guaranteed Minimum and account assignment data to encumber the funds.  We were able to "Release" the contract successfully.

  • Suppress the unit of measure (EA) from appearing on each line of a query.

    Hello and Happy new year.
How can you suppress the unit of measure (e.g. EA for a material) from appearing on each line of a query output?
    Many thanks.

    Hi Matt,
You're right, we can use that option. However, as you said, if row/column contains same UoM. My reports are quite complex, they contains different UoM.

  • BEx Query:  Attribute not display Unit of Measure (UOM)

In a BEx I am trying to create a query that displays attributes to 0EMPLOYEE.  One of the custom attributes is the employee's rate of pay.  We have the hourly rate, nightly rate, etc.  This attribute is a numeric attribute with currency assigned as the Unit of Measure.  I am trying to create a query displaying the pay rates from the attributes of 0EMPLOYEE but remove the unit of measure in the output.  I am aware this can be done on key figures using the NODIM formula.  How can I remove on an attribute?
Example:  Output is $10.25 UOM.  I want it to display as $10.25.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Create a Formula Variable with Replacement Path for this Attribute.
Use NODIM function for the Formula Variable.
Let me know if it works according to your requirement.

  • Leave unit of measure for calculation type A empty

    Hi Gurus,
We are in SRM Extended classic scenario with 5.0 version.
Here in SRM we have Procurement contact with process type Global Outline Agreement (GCTR).
Currently we are facing problem while amending the condition type in the contact line item. When we change the condition type for particular line item then getting error message "Leave Unit of Measure for calculation type A empty. (item 10).
On the line item the condition could look like this
Condition                    Price                 Start Date       End Date
    Price(Contract/Bid)    100 EUR            2010-02-22    2010-12-31
    gross surcharge %   5,5 %                2010-02-22    2010-03-31
    gross surcharge %   6,5%                 2010-04-01    2010-06-30
    gross surcharge %   8,5 %                2010-07-01    2010-12-31
when we try to add additional conditon like "gross surcharge %" then we got this error message
Leave unit of measure for calculation type A empty
if I delete all condition "Gross Surcharge%" then the error disapear and then I can try again, sometime we could create those condition without problems but offen we have this error.
Can any one help me to get rid of this error message.
    Thanks In Advance,
    Jakob Bang

initially you could do multiple periods but when you change the condition it is not allowing you.
can you make inactivate that andd new line item and add same item with new condition
    (SRM might have limitations)
I tried this works for me

  • AffineTransform - Is there a way to glean units of measurement for pixels?

    Assuming I get a pointer to a java.awt.geom.AffineTransform from:
    java.awt.geom.AffineTransform CurTransform = ((java.awt.Graphics2D)this.getMainFrame().getGraphics()).getDeviceConfiguration().getDefaultTransform();
Assuming I've gotten the right AffineTransform... How do I get, or can I get, the scaling factor between horizontal pixels and vertical pixels for the current screen (or whatever device). In other words I want to place components... buttons, textboxes, etc. in a dialog box so that they are "square". i.e. 10 units in x look on the screen equal to 10 units in y.
Once I know what the "square pixel scale factor" is I can then worry about making the units relative to whatever font size.
This question is usually posed as "How do I get dialog units?". I haven't done that because of the "legacy problems" associated with what most people think dialog units come from. It is true that way back when dialog units were derived from a textmetrics ONLY, but unless I'm mistaken, Charles Petzold, was describing something that could only be gotten that way at that time (circa 1990).... The width of the fixed system font by the height of the fixed system font ended up being as close to a unit that was 8 units high looked like 8 units wide in the screen. The object of the exercise is to most importantly get units of measurement that translate to pixels and look "square" on the screen. Secondarily, but not unimportant, is to be a unit that has some relevance to the current font size. It's been a long time dialog units in windows maybe a 2:1 ratio. I made my own cDialogUnits so long ago I can't remember what the "standard windows" dialog unit is. In windows I can very easily get the screen dpi x and y, I think it's a devicecontext but Java's "devicecontext" only gives one dimension of the dpi?
Also this query is mute if I was "painting" on a device. The units are for pixels NOT points and are (mostly) for placing controls on the screen. I am aware of and have used the various addPreferredGap and setAutoCreateContainerGaps available in a GroupLayout... Great gizmos but, still dialog units would be very handy for setting the prefered width of a textbox/label with too much text. (Note: dialog units are NOT for calculating the height of text... )
I did search the sun forums for an answer first... It might be here I just didn't find it. It seems to be a question either avoided like the plague or considered a dumb question in Java.

    This might be OK?
BE AWARE!! This is NOT a painting gizmo. It is used in conjunction with the Layout gizmos. It drives me crazy that the Layout gizmos have "default" gaps and spacers of some kind and yet ALL the tutorials immediately and unabashedly trash any "device independence" by mixing in pixel measurements... Not to mention I don't like the size of the gaps and spacing provided with the Layout gizmos anyway.
Does anyone know if this will fail? I am aware of the caveats provided... "Information about the device is only as good as has been provided." However if there is bad information in the device info I doubt using these units will do anything much different that the end user experiences with the errant device anyway.
AGAIN... This is NOT a painting gizmo. It's a helper when Laying out controls usually in conjunction with a Layout and only for spaces and gaps.

  • Alternate Unit of Measure with several Qty KF's

    Case is as follows:
3 different plain KFs related to qty. Sales volume, net weight anddelivery qty.
All need to be dispalyed in the same report. All have different base unit of measure.
I have only one variable [YTAUNIT) for entering required unit.
Now if I enter all KFs using this same YTAUNIT variable for them each separately I get error message on the query that this is not permitted.
How should I change the structure ?
    - add new variable for each KF ? (YTAUNIT1, YTAUNIT2, .....) -> do I need to change any of the ABAP codes? is there a link only picking YTAUNIT ?
Please can You give me an example (detailed) how to proceed ?
    Thanks in advance
    Petri

    Hi,
I have worked on single variable But from the understanding of working I feel you need to create three diff variable (input var) YTAUNIT1, YTAUNIT2 ect Because they are on same base unit of measure with different units of measures. And you will have to take corresponding variable for every key figure in the calculated KF.
    Just try with different variables.
    Assign points if it helps.

  • Unit of measure for Standard Value.

    Hi Gurus
I have maintained Standard value LABOR in workcenter and maintain deafault value for unit of measure in workcenter Default tab .
But that unit of measure is not defaulted in routing when i put some value.

    Hi Mayuresh,
When you insert a work center in the routing, the defaults specified in the Default Values tab gets copied into the operation. The Standard Value Units get copied to the Standard Value fields (1 to 6) i.e. eg: In work center you have specified the Standard Value key as SAP1 which has the fileds - SETUP, MACHINE & LABOR, then in the operations if you scroll, you will find 3 columns named as SETUP, MACHINE & LABOR with the Standard Value Unit which you have maintained in the Work Center - Default Value tab. You can edit these UoM in the routing though.
The same holds good when you assign the work center directly in a production order, you can edit the values in the StandadVals tab of the Operation.
Hope the above answers your query.

  • Pricing Procedure for diffrent unit of measure for diffrent product

    1) Existing Pricing procedure --> Condition type based on Quantity
    2) Existing Product --> Sales Unit & Base Unit of Measurement is in NOS ( Numbers )
    3) New Product ( Belt ) ---> Pricing of product based on weight
    ex :--> Rubber Belt -->   1 belt = 11.50 kg , Price = Rs. 100/ kg
As the production of material will go on weight of Belt will reduce in range of 11.50 to 11 kg . For different batch of production weight will change
every time weight of material will be calculated and price will be charged on basis of net weight ( Kg)
    4) New product is assigned to new division ( it will bw sold in new division only )
    Question
    1) What should be Base Unit / Sales Unit  of measurement ?
    2) Do we need to create new pricing procedure or existing pricing procedure will work ?
for new product  we need to create new condition type for which calculation type will be Net Weight .
    3) do we need to do any customization for this ?
Exice people say that if pricing is done in KG (Net weight ) they want to see stock in KG
Management want to see stock in KG & Numbers

May be you can Create a New Unit Of Measure called ZPC. For using ZPC you need to assign Additional Base Unti Of Measure as ZPC in your Material Masters as well.
Use ZPC to create your condition records of pricing and in Sales order you will still have Unit of Measure as PC which the management wants to see..
Similarly you can create Constion records for new product based on Kg.

  • Need Multiple Units of Measure for a given material due to multiple vendors

    Hello,
We have a requirement where we must have multiple units of measue (each, box, case, pallet) for a given material.
    Background:
We have multiple vendors for one SAP material number. We need to store 4 levels of units of measure for each vendor+material combination.
    Unit of Meaure levels
    1. Each
    2. Innerpack (ex: 12 each = 1 innerpack)
    3. Box (ex: 36 eaches = 1 box)
    4. Pallet (ex: 100 eaches = 1 pallet)
Standard SAP allows in MM01 additional data --> Units of Measure only 1 Ea, Box, Plt, etc.
Our requirement is to allow multiple Units of Measure due to multiple vendors providing the same material.
So, our unique combination is by a Material+Vendor.
We are considering adding the vendor name and vendor number to the material master --> additional data --> Units of Measure tab.
Does this seem like a good solution? What impacts do you foresee with approach?
    Any alternatve solutions?
We thought we could enhance the purchasing info records to allow multiple units of measure too but then we need to also add many fields to hold the weight, lenght, height, width, volume, country of origin, etc.
Please recommend a best practice or solution to handle this requirement.
    Thanks in advance!!!

    Hi,
Maintain the alternative units in Material Master in Additional Data -> Units of Measure section with proper conversion factors.
Create individual info-records i.e. per mtl-vendor combination & in the info-record maintain the order unit, along with other details as required.
Now when you create a PO, the details will be read from the info-record. To test the same, create them in your sandbox & see if it meets your requirement.
Hope the above clarifies your query.
    Regards,
    Vivek

  • Error in units of measurement conversion  "BOM"

    hello gurus gudmorning everybody
i have problem in  project regarding the units   of  measurement conversion BOM
this is the scenario: 1000 ft2(  BASE UNIT MEASUREMENT)  = 1ea (    SALES UNIT) ( 2bed room flat) it is a higher level item
sub items are in EA  base unit measurement ex: like  one sofa one air conditioner etc instead of taking sale unit measurement of higher level item , its taking base unit mesurement of higher level item , .i.e instead of taking 1EA  2bhk = 1AC, 1 SOFA,   but is calculating 1000ft2( 2bhk)   = 1000ac, 1000sofa , plz help out to rectify the conversion
    thank you in  advance
    venkat

    Dear Venkat,
    Try with this
Please maintain the alternative unit of measure in sub itemes master data at Additional tab like this
    in AC master data 1EA = 1AC and 1AC = 1EA 2BHK
    in Sofa master data 1EA = 1 Sofa and 1Sofa = 1EA 2BHK
    Now you try
I hope this will help you,

  • Variable for Alternate Unit of Measure

    Hello Experts
I have implemented the soultion for reporting data in Alternate Unit of measure using the "How to..." guide provided at https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/b7b2aa90-0201-0010-a480-a755eeb82b6f
This solution involves creating a variable which prompts the user to enter the required unit of measure.
However I have a situation where I would like to create variable which is not input-ready and has a fixed value assigned to it without prompting the user. Moreover, I cannot modify the already existing input-ready variable as it is used in other Queries.
Does this involves creating a new user exit or modifying the existing user exit. If yes then can you please tell me how this can be done.
    Thanks
    Rishi

    Hi Rishi,
You can follow any one the below procedure for solve your issue.
    1. You can change the variable by removing the check box "Ready to input". But you mentioned that you used that variable in other queries also. So, I am not suggesting this.
    2. You create a new variable same as the existing variable but with out selecting "Ready to Input" check box. Now when the user run the query, that variable will not be seen to the user. Now, we will see the customer exit, you assign new variable value to existing variable, before that you have to write a condition for checking the query name. If you are running the query which have the new variable then assign the variable value to old variable. This will solve your question.
I hope you understood this procedure. If you have any doubts let me know.
