Universal app - ipad/iphone how to do?
Hi guys!
I was trying to find something to study that. but I couldn't find...
we know there's an checkbox in publish settings to define that just for iphone, just for ipad and universal...
BUT
how we code that, or build that?
likely using the bigger size off course ipad 1024x768.
but i have no ideia to mount that , theres a code class to swap
ex:

well if you try to run iphone apps on ipad, all it does is stretch the screen. so i would suggest always make the app big, then downsize to compile into iphone size. so you don't have to up size for ipad.

You would have to create the ringtones.
Google will find several way to do this.

They are not taking up storage space. Apple knows you installed them at one time (="purchased", whether you paid money or not), and merely keeps a list so that if you wish to reinstall any of them on this or a future device, you can. This is useful if maybe you deleted them due to space constraints, and now have a device with more memory and wish to reinstall.
It's also useful for taking a trip down Memory Lane looking at all the useless apps you installed once then immediately deleted once you realized they were total garbage ... -
Need to revert a universal app to iphone in iTunes connect
The question is can we replace a Universal App with and Iphone app in iTunes connect and what are the steps. In this case the iPhone app is the app the Universal app replaced in the first place.
Our client claims you cannot replace a Universal app with an iPhone app but we cannot tell if that is a message they got from trying to do it in the store or hearsay.
Background:
Our client had another developer (actually a few even before that) deliver an IOS universal app that was upgrade from the iPhone app already in the store. It was built starting witht the code base for that original iPhone app in the store.
Unfortunately the developer had serious bugs in the iPhone version of the universal app that were missed by the client.
More unfortunate is that the client replaced the iPhone app in the store with the Uuniversal app without QA and so with the improperly functioning iPhone part.
They since took the universal app out of the store.
We have the source for the original iPhone version and thought we could simply build that and replace the broken universal app.UPDATE: Ignore this is from 2010 and pre-dates Universal app type.

First make sure you change that setting both for the project and your target, if it is still unchanged just manually edit project.pbxproj in the xcode project bundle changing all occurences of TARGETED_DEVICE_FAMILY = "1,2" to TARGETED_DEVICE_FAMILY = "1"
also Minimum OS Requirements is determined by the deployment sdk setting (IPHONEOS_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET in the aforementioned file) , not affected by LSMinimumSystemVersion -

ITunes Match and 3rd Party Apps - iPad/iPhone
With the myriad of apps out there that integrate with iTunes, why is it that nearly none of them offer support for iTunes Match? (And, a seemingly cool one that claims to offer support -- "BeatBlaster" -- http://www.beatblaster.com/ -- that has all the features I'm looking for, isn't available in the App Store in the US). I'm really surprised at the lack of information on this topic on the web... A Google search for it only pulls up articles that are 2-3 years old. The best information I could find was that the API toolset made available to developers is either really limited, or it's just not available at all... and that's in an article from 2011. Are you telling me that Apple is STILL -- 3+ years later -- limiting access to developer tools for iTunes Match integration (or just has never created any)? I understand that I'm asking about something that could be considered "outside" of Apple (3rd Party apps), but I'm just really looking for someone that might be in the know on this stuff... Bottom line, I'm looking for a clock radio app that supports iTunes Match... I've got our Master Bedroom and Bath rigged up with in-ceiling speakers, attached to a bluetooth receiver, with a wall-mounted iPad serving as the "jukebox". When my dang iPad doesn't drop the WiFi connection, it's pretty slick. I'd just like to have a single app that a) offers a large, well-visible clock, b) allows me to browse my iTunes Match library of songs and play them as I'd like, and c) have a "play my iTunes music as an alarm" option. I know... directly d/l-ing songs to the iPad is an option, but it defeats the whole purpose of iTunes Match, which I subscribe to because my music library is WAY too big to fit on the iPad (or my iPhone).

You'll have to ask the software makers this question. It is up to the 3rd party vendors, not Apple, to provide the features you are asking for. -
Oh my what a mess! I would really like to have one id and one password for all the products - MacBook Pro, iPad, iPod and iPhone. I am forever getting invalid id or invalid passwod message when I try to do something. The security questions are questions I never would have answered and I think the emails are going to my huspand's gmail account!
Can anyone help me sort this mess out?
This has been posted in the mac community as well!If you want to merge Apple ID's - you can't do that. For reasons unknown, Apple just doesn't allow it. Passwords are are different story. You should be able to reset your password for any other the ID's that you have.
Do you have multiple Apple ID's? And if this situation is that much of a mess, you might be better off contacting Apple in order to get it straightened out.

If you are getting the message to Contact Support there is no other option.
When Mountain Lion first came out and you got this message it did appear to get sorted for free.
Start here

Click the Contact Support at the bottom of the menu
In the next page use the right hand Pane and the iTunes Store link.
after that generally follow "Manage Account" type links.
The process is "trying to answer questions" but you will eventually be offered an email Link.
Use that and explain the issue.
Generally the issue tends to be something specific about your account that only Apple Support can change.

Syncing PoketLife app between iPhone and iPad.
I have the PocketLife calendar app on my iPhone 4s and want to sync it with my new iPad. I've already downloaded the app on my ipad from my appstore account. It pulled in all my templates but not my saved calendar items. I've tried all I know to do and the app's information says it should work. Can anyone help?
Yes iBooks can only be bought via the iBookstore which is only accessible via the iBooks app (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch). I don't think that if you purchase it on your iPhone that it will automatically appear on the iPad, but she should be able to (re-)download it for free (as long as she is using the same account as you purchase it with (from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4059) :
Yes, you may be able to redownload certain books from the iBookstore, free of charge. To redownload a book, tap Store, then tap Purchases. Find the book you wish to download again and tap Redownload. You must be logged in to the iTunes account from which you originally purchased the book in order to redownload a title.
You can also make a backup of the book(s) on your Mac by copying it off your iPhone (File > Transfer Purchases), just in case it ever gets removed from the iBookstore and therefore can't be re-downloaded from it. -
I had purchased LOG TEN PRO UNIVERSAL, from the app store and had it installed on the iPad 2 , it worked great . Now I have purchased an iPhone 5 and I want to install the LTP UNIVERSAL INTO THE IPHONE but , in the app store It seems that I have to repurchase the app for some reason,this shouldn't be the case since the app clearly can be installed on an iPad n phone together , I don't know what to do about it . You should be able to re-download LogTen Pro from the Purchases section of the App Store. To find this, open the App Store on your iPhone, and tap the Updates section. At the top of the Updates screen there will be a "Purchases" section, and tap this to enter it. Make sure that you are logged in with the same Apple ID that you originally used to purchase LogTen Pro, and it will display a "download/cloud" button. Tap it, confirm your password, and it will download again.
This "Purchases" section has been known to be a bit buggy -- try logging out and back into the App Store on your iPhone if you don't see it.
The App Store handles all sales and customer information, so your proof of purchase should have been sent by them. It is usually emailed to you from "iTunes Store" with a title: "Your receipt No. ##########".

My husband and I have multiple devices (iPad, iPhone, iPod ) that we we have linked to individual iTunes accounts ie he has his account with iPad, iPhone, PC and iPod linked/sync and I have my account with iPhone, iPad, iPad mini, PC etc.. How do we share our music and apps across/between our accounts?
It probably means that only one of you can use iCloud or at least sync calender/contacts with it. I would guess that you could manually manage the other phone as you have before.

If both accounts are authorised on the computer's iTunes that you sync them to, and the relevant apps are on that computer, then you should be able to sync them to both devices. The apps will be tied to the account that originally bought/downloaded them, so only that account will be able to download updates to them.

If it's an app made only for iPad, you can't. Some developers make apps which will work on both devices (the + sign in the download button indicates). Some apps are made specifically for one device, and there may be separate versions for each device (so you have to pay twice!). You can install an iPhone-only app on an iPad (but it usually doesnt look great), but you cannot put a phone-only app on an iPad.
