Unsupported architecture for FireFox??? Mac OS10.5.8
I downloaded FireFox 4.0 and then when I went to use it, I got the Message "this is unsupported architecture". Ridiculous! Should I go back to Internet Explorer or use Safari from now on???
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/4.0/system-requirements/
For older Macs that aren't supported in Firefox 4.0, try TenFourFox for PowerPC's running Mac 10.4.11 & 10.5.8 . <br />

Is there an Adobe Acrobat plugin for FireFox/Mac OSX?
Any of you are aware of Adobe Acrobat Plugin for FireFox on Mac OSX? There seem to be one FireFox PDF Plugin for Mac X. But am looking for Adobe plugin.
Thanks,
RajHi ..
You can use the pre installed Preview app for editing .JPEG files.
Preview is located in your Applications folder. -
Why do you list it as "Unsupported"?
ARM11 is an ARM architecture 32-bit RISC microprocessor family which introduced the ARMv6 architectural additions.
The ARM11 family are currently the only ARMv6-architecture cores.

Sorry, included details in question.
Is the TIOMAP 3610 not a 800 MHz ARM Cortex-A8 ? which is ARMv7. http://phonecpu.com/omap-3610
It does however only has 125MB or 196MB RAM or such depending on sources when 512+MB is recommended.
The Motorola Defy in compatible list has the TI OMAP3610-800 or TI OMAP36300-800 but it has 512MB Ram. -
I installed Firefox 4.0 and upon clicking on the mounted image, I dragged and dropped the program into my applications folder, then because of unsupported architecture the program wouldn't launch. However, I read the system requirements before installation and I meet all of the above. I have a PowerMac w/ a Dual 1.8Ghz PowerPC G5 based processor, 1GB DDR SDRAM, and a 320GB Hard Drive running Mac OSX 10.5.8. After which I had to delete the program and restore firefox 3.6.16 using Time Machine.
Firefox 4 doesn't run on a PowerPC Mac.<br />

My company uses SalesForce CRM and recently changed wholesale to Macs. Unfortunately, certain functions in SalesForce are not compatible with the current version of Safari or any version of FireFox newer than 3.0 and we need to be able to use those functions. How can I download that version for the Mac?
There is also a portable Firefox 3.0 version via this link:
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/osxportableapps/PortableFirefox_3.0_en-US-OSX_r4.0u.dmg?download
It can take some time before the download starts. -
We get a message that says "You cannot use the application 'Firefox.app' with this version of Mac OS X.

I can't access certain links from sites, especially with a lot of graphics. I get messages to the effect that I need to upgrade my browser. But then the update says I need a 10.3 Mac or higher. Also any site with a lot of graphics takes forever to download. Is there an intermediate update that I could use instead for my Mac?
For Mac 10.2.8 you need Firefox 2.0.0.20 as Firefox 3 will NOT RUN on your Operating System.
Download Firefox 2.0.0.20 from HERE.... http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
Follow THESE Instructions to Install... http://kb.mozillazine.org/Installing_Firefox#Mac_OS_X
BUT This is scheduled to be the LAST release of Firefox 2, so you will need to upgrade youur computer to receive further updates. -

Mozilla are working to prevent Mac users with non-compatible systems from getting the notification about Firefox 4, and also not displaying the "Download Firefox 4" button on http://www.mozilla.com

I updated my firefox browser for my Mac and now, when I open it, an empty white box appears at the top of the page with only a gray bar in it. It over lays the Firefox home page and I can't get rid of it, so I can't click on anything on the Firefox page. I tried deleting Firefox and redownloading it, but that didn't help. I have to force quite Firefox to get out of it. Help!
hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering here...

How can I find a PDF plug in for Firefox 5 running on Mac OSX (10.6)
I recently installed an Update and received a message that my PDF Plug In for Firefox would be disabled, but that when the Update had been installed the Plug in would be enabled. This has not happened.
I am running Firefox 5 on Mac OSX (10.6)I've tried the download three times. It reports that installation was successful, but when I use Firefox I still get only an option to download the .pdf; I still can't read it within the browser. This fix WAS for Firefox 5.0, right?

PDF Viewer plugin for Firefox 4 on Mac
Firefox 4 on Mac would not come with a plugin for pdf viewing, you need to install the file below (just copy and paste in your browser and allow to install):
http://firefox-mac-pdf.s3.amazonaws.com/fx-quartz-pdf-1.2.0.xpi
(you need to run Firefox in 32 bit mode ! go to applications, select Firefox and open "get info", check box for 32 bit mode)https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/142056?hl=en
https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/142064?hl=en
Those links have more info on Chrom plugins and how to enable or disable them.
From the first link:
By default, Chrome uses a built in viewer to open PDFs. If you've disabled the built-in PDF viewer, Chrome will use Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader to display PDFs. Follow the suggestions at the first link if you're having trouble viewing PDFs within Chrome, using Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader.
First check if the issue is specific to Chrome. Try opening PDFs in another browser on your computer, such as Firefox. If you experience similar problems viewing PDFs in another browser, the issue is likely not related to Chrome. -
After downloading latest Reader software (11) on my Mac (OS10.7.5) I cannot print pdf files on either of my two printers. I suspect corrupt software. How do I uninstall and reinstall the software? Adobe's on-line instructions are only for Window devices.
You can just drag the file to the trash. If you want you can remove the pdf plug-in from the internet-plug in folder, but that should not be necessary to correct your problem.
