Unsupported generator type: SEQUENCE

Is the primary key generation strategy "SEQUENCE" supported? I have an entity, based on a table in Oracle database, whose primary key is generated by a sequence in Oracle database. When I deploy the entity I get the following error...
ORPersistence Model Builder: Exception occurred: com.sap.engine.services.orpersistence.model.ormappingmodel.ORMException: Unsupported generator type: SEQUENCE at com.sap.engine.services.orpersistence.model.ormappingmodel.impl.ORMappingModelCreatorImpl.parseId(ORMappingModelCreatorImpl.java:2347), file: EntityTest.jar, column 0, line 0, severity: error

Hi Christopher,
The generation types SEQUENCE and IDENTITY are currently not supported by the JPA implementation in this release. You can however use the TABLE and AUTO generation types. In the case of AUTO you have to provide a table TMP_SEQUENCE created like this:
CREATE TABLE "TMP_SEQUENCE"
"GEN_KEY" VARCHAR(256) UNICODE NOT NULL,
"GEN_VALUE" INTEGER,
PRIMARY KEY ("GEN_KEY")

  • Getting 415 Unsupported Media Type error when calling a windows web service

    We're using 10.1.3.3 Oracle Application Server and BPEL. Please advise on what config files might need to be tweaked to fix this.

  • Urgent, Please help - UnsupportedMediaException: Unsupported Content-Type

    Hello Fusion Geeks,
    I am trying to call a web service. I am using "create web service proxy" in jdev, generated by JAX-WS. When I am calling the web service using Client java code generated by jdeveloper I am getting exception "Exception in thread "main" com.sun.xml.ws.server.UnsupportedMediaException: Unsupported Content-Type: application/octet-stream Supported ones are: [application/soap+xml]" . I did not get any response back from web service.
    However I have some observations :
    1) I switched on HTTP analyzer on my jdeveloper to check what SOAP request is getting passed from my program. I found that the perfect SOAP message has been formed and hitting the correct endpoint. And I found that correct response back in HTTP analyzer.
    2) The error message I got is : "Exception in thread "main" com.sun.xml.ws.server.UnsupportedMediaException: Unsupported Content-Type: application/octet-stream Supported ones are: [application/soap+xml]" I looked into oracle support for this error message I found that this error message is listed there. I tried the solution mentioned under document titled "JAX-WS web service that uses SOAP 1.2 binding throws error "Unsupported Content-Type" [ID 844691.1]" . But that did not solve my problem.
    Thanks

    Hello Vlad,
    Thanks for your response. In response I see Content-Type: application/xop+xml; which is different from what you are saying (application/soap+xml). Surprisingly SOAP UI shows response correctly but it fails from java jax-ws proxy.
    Content-ID: <SoapContent>
    Content-Type: application/xop+xml; charset=utf-8; type="text/xml; charset=utf-8"

  • Windows Web Services - Unsupported media type

    Hi,
    I'm trying to migrate a web service from .NET WCF to C++ Windows Web Services API. I generated .c and .h files using WSDL, create few wrappers and incorporated it into the C++ code and try it using a gSOAP client. Sadly, it wasn't working.
    Here is the response from the WWS:
    HTTP/1.1 415 Unsupported Media Type
    Server: Microsoft-HTTPAPI/2.0
    Date: Mon, 14 Jul 2014 10:50:23 GMT
    Connection: close
    Content-Length: 0
    I debug it for a while, and found out, that WWS apparentely cannot handle action parameter in Content-Type.
    Content-Type: text/xml; charset=utf-8; action="http://tempuri.org/IReferenceClockWebService/SetRecordTimeLeftDiff"
    After I remove the action parameter, everything is working.
    Why is this happening. Isn't an action parameter common part of SOAP HTTP requests? Is there any workaround?
    Thanks in advance.

  • 'unsupported data type' in interactive report

    Hi,
    I try to download a file from a link of an itneractive report.
    In the "report attributes" section of the interactive column, I have defined in the link section of a column the 'Target' as 'URL', and the URL as this :
    DOWNLOAD:CONVENTIONS:#FILE_BLOB#:#ID#::#MIME_TYPE#:#FICHIERS#:#LAST_UPDATE#::attachment:ConvWhen I run the interactive report, the link show this :
    download:CONVENTIONS:[unsupported data type]:188:::C22.pdf:::attachment:Conv
    The table "CONVENTIONS" is defined like this :
    "ID" NUMBER NOT NULL ENABLE,
    "FICHIERS" VARCHAR2(2048 BYTE),
    "FILE_BLOB" BLOB,
    "LAST_UPDATE" DATE,
    "MIME_TYPE" VARCHAR2(255 BYTE)
    Where is my error ?
    Thank for your kind help !
    Christian

    Hi Christina,
    sorry the wizard you have to use is the "Form > Form on Table with Report", because the normal create interactive report wizard allows to enter a query.
    After you are done with the wizard, have a look at the generated SQL statement (it has to use the dbms_lob.getlength) and the value in "Number / Date Format" for that column.

  • Unsupported Content-Type: text/plain

    Hi everyone,
    I am trying to invoke an aync Oracle BPEL process from WLI 8.1.6, without worrying about the response / callback. The web service control that is generated shows the operation stub as public void receive (java.lang.String input); which makes sense since I don't want any response. When I invoke BPEL though, I get the following error in WLI:
    <Error> <WLW> <000000> <Failure=com.bea.control.ServiceControlException: SERVICE FAULT:
    Code:javax.xml.soap.SOAPException
    String:Unsupported Content-Type: text/plain
    Detail:
    END SERVICE FAULT [ServiceException]>
    There shouldn't be any response though, so how can I tell WLI to ignore what (doesn't) come back? When I check BPEL, the request is successfully received and the BPEL process completes successfully.
    Thanks,
    Nicholas

    By default, getContent() will return decoded text. But,some mail server will put 8bits instead of 8bit. Javamail will throw exception when encoding is "8bits". In that case, you will have to decode the message by yourself, force using "8bit".
    Part 2 & 3 of the problem - it is not able to find the character set support.

  • Unsupported key type: Sun DSA Public Key

    Hi all,
    Does anyone know how to use the SHA1withDSA algorithm with WSS4J/Axis?
    When using a private key generated by keytool with type DSA, I get the errors:
    org.apache.ws.security.WSSecurityException: Cannot encrypt data
    Caused by: java.security.InvalidKeyException: Unsupported key type: Sun DSA Public Key
    It seems I have to generate the key using type RSA.
    Regards,
    Alex

    DSA (Digital Signature Algorithm) keys, by definition, can only be used for digital signature and not for encryption. As EJP suggested, you must use the RSA key-type and the SHA1withRSA - I would recommend using SHA256withRSA - construct to enable message-confidentiality.

  • File open error: unsupported file type Mpeg Streamclip

    having a problem... I am using mpeg streamclip to convert vob files from a dvd. the problem is that the program says that the first vob file is an unsupported file type. I know that this is not true. The DVD plays, and the remaining vob files are opened and processed by the program correctly. Any advice or suggestions?

    I am having the same problem. The first VOB file in the sequence will not open in either Streamclip or Quicktime. This is not the menu display image, but the first chunk of the video (the menu image actually will open). All the ones after it can be opened either individually or joined as a group.
    The DVD plays fine on the mac and also in the regular DVD player. Any idea if this is perhaps some equipment fault when the DVD burner "finalizes" the disk? Am using a combo VHS/DVD-R unit. It is not super high-end, but then neither are these old home videos I'm converting.

  • Quicktime .movs error Premiere CC. Damaged or unsupported file type.

    I'm having major problems with Quicktime .movs (anims & prores) in Premiere CC - which is making it completely unuseable.
    Sometimes the files load and work but 90% of the time I get the unsupported file type error.
    I've double checked the files are fine on various computers and they are, but Premiere CC refuses to work properly with them.
    A project with 10 clips - each time I open a few open fine and work - but never all of them and it randomly changes which ones work and which ones are unsupported.
    Any ideas would be most appreciated!
    Windows 8 64bit
    Premiere CC
    Quicktime 7.7.4
    Quadro 2000 - have tried both latest official driver and the later Beta driver with no difference.
    Cheers

    I wondered if the fact different ones load and then it stops was a memory issue.
    Can you suggest the best way to encode my clips for HD Quality on Premiere CC for PC? Would it be image sequences?

    Added [ code] tags to make code readable.

    A bit of research indicates that the classes of the keys obtained by
                          RSAPubKey = c.getPublicKey();
                               RSAPrivKey = ks.getKey(aliasKey, null);  //"mypassword".toCharArray()are sun.security.rsa.RSAPublicKeyImpl and sun.security.*mscapi*.RSAPrivateKey . It seems that for Cipher objects from the SunMSCAPI provider cannot accept RSA public keys of class sun.security.rsa.RSAPublicKeyImpl and that the SunMSCAPI will only accept RSA private keys of class sun.security.mscapi.RSAPrivateKey.
    This came up under different guise a couple of years ago. It makes sense since encrypting/wrapping with a public key does not represent a security problem (there is nothing secret in any of the encryption operations) when done outside of MSCAPI so one can use any provider that has the capability BUT the decryption/unwrapping must be done with the SunMSCAPI provider which delegates it to the MSCAPI.
    My working test code based on your code implementing this approach is :
            // RSA 1024 bits Asymmetric encryption of Symmetric AES key
            // List the certificates from Microsoft KeyStore using SunMSCAPI.
            System.out.println("List of certificates found in Microsoft Personal Keystore:");
            KeyStore ks = KeyStore.getInstance("Windows-MY", "SunMSCAPI");
            ks.load(null, null);
            Enumeration en = ks.aliases();
            PublicKey RSAPubKey = null;
            Key RSAPrivKey = null;
            int i = 0;
            while (en.hasMoreElements())
                String aliasKey = (String) en.nextElement();
                X509Certificate c = (X509Certificate) ks.getCertificate(aliasKey);
                String sss = ks.getCertificateAlias(c);
                if (sss.equals("rsa_key")) // The alias for my key - make sure you change it back to your alias
                    System.out.println("---> alias : " + sss);
                    i = i + 1;
                    String str = c.toString();
                    System.out.println(" Certificate details : " + str);
                    RSAPubKey = c.getPublicKey();
             System.out.println(RSAPubKey.getClass().getName());
                   RSAPrivKey = ks.getKey(aliasKey, null);  //"mypassword".toCharArray()
            System.out.println(RSAPrivKey.getClass().getName());

  • "How do I generate a sequence of waveforms, like first a sine wave, then a square one, and say again a sine wave?"

    "Hello everyone, I hope someone can answer the following question. How do I generate a sequence of different waveforms, with different attributes?
    Like, i want to generate a sine wave for some time, then a square pulse of some width and then again a sine wave of some other time. Finally I want to repeat this sequence. I'll really appreciated it if I can get an answer soon. Thank you!

    From the previous comments I am assuming that your waveforms are arrays, rather than the waveform data type. I am also assuming that the sine waves on both sides of the square wave are the same signal.
    If so then I suggest a slightly different approach. 1. Generate your sine wave, rather than the empty array. The length should be the length of the entire end signal.
    2. Generate the square waveform. You can either generate it at the length you need, or you can generate a much larger square wave, and then use the Array Subset VI to get the portion you need. Which method you use depends how you want to implement the whole method.
    3. Use the Replace Array Subset VI to place the portion of the square wave at the location (index) of the original sine wave you ge
    nerated.
    The result of this method will be an array that starts with your sine wave, and then at the index you choose it will place the square wave of the length you want right into the signal, and then finish up with the sine wave for the rest of the signal.

  • How to generate random sequence numbers

    Hello experts
    Iu2019m writing a custom program and pulling data from VBAK & VBAP. As per requirement I also need to generate a sequence number randomly and finally store all data in text file and upload at server. The hiccup is I donu2019t know how to generate sequence numbers. Can somebody please show me how I can accomplish it?
    Thanks a lot in advance

    Find the below code,
      data: lv_range type datatype-char0128.
      call function 'RANDOM_C'
        exporting
          len_min   = 20
          len_max   = 20
          char_min  = 1
          char_max  = 20
        importing
          rnd_value = lv_range.
    LV_RANGE param will have a random value..
    If you need number you can use the FM "RANDOM_I4"
    Thanks,
    Prathap

  • Auto generated types and ps1xml formatting files

    Hello,
    I'm using New-WebServiceProxy to work with a web service... when I call methods of the web service powershell auto generates types, for example, things like "Microsoft.PowerShell.Commands.NewWebserviceProxy.AutogeneratedTypes.WebServiceProxy1_webservices_awebservicepage_asmx.TheMethodReturnObjectType"
    1. should I just use that type name in my ps1xml formatting file? I'm wondering if that will be fragile... seems fragile like 'webServiceProxy1' for example, what if there is some scenario it uses '2'? Not sure if I can count on that being consistent?
    2. I started creating custom objects and adding my own type name to them so that type name could be used in the ps1xml file. This works fine. However so far it was for web service methods that returned single instance results.. now I hit a point where I'm
    calling a web service method that will return a collection... so I'm wondering if it would be better to just use the auto generated type name  in the ps1xml or, as I would need to do in this case, actually enter a foreach loop to create a new custom object
    for every object in the returned collection? In other words, for the web service methods I've used so far for this, I simply created my custom object and write-output... for the case of the collection, I would be new-object'ing and write-output'ing within
    that foreach loop.. wondering about performance issues, or if it's just overkill when I could just put that auto generated type name in the ps1xml file and be done with it...
    not sure if I've asked that very clearly...
    essentially, I'm wondering if it's overkill (from a resource usage perspective) to be creating these custom objects in the case of when there will be a collection, with potentially hundreds of items, when the only reason I'm doing it is for display purposes...
    if it were not an autogenerated type I would simply use the type name in the ps1xml, I'm just not sure if I can do that in this case as I don't know if that typename will *always* be the same?
    any input would be appreciated, thanks

    Hi DJC,
    I haven't rexperienced this, however, to create a .ps1xml file, these examples may be helpful for you:
    Creating a module for powershell with a format file
    discutils / utils / DiscUtils.PowerShell / DiscUtils.Format.ps1xml
    about_Format.ps1xml
    I hope this helps.
