UnsupportedDataTypeException when sending mail from Java application
I try to get the Java Mail API running. I'm able to compile all sample programs delivered with the API but when I try to run e.g. msgsend, msgsendsample or a sample that I found in this discussion (zmail from zakir_sh), I always get the same error:
javax.mail.SendFailedException: Sending failed;
nested exception is:
javax.mail.MessagingException: IOException while
sending message;
nested exception is:
javax.activation.UnsupportedDataTypeException: no
object DCH for MIME type text/plain; charset=us-ascii
Does anybody has the same problem? What's going wrong?
Initially, I too had difficulty with JavaMail, mainly because I did not read the documentation carefully enough.
I bypassed msgsend, etc. and wrote a very basic program to send mail; fired up my dial-up-connection and everything worked beautifully.
Try the same. If you don't succeed, post your code here.

I'm looking for a way to send mails from my portal application written in java.
Now I've read a lot of topics on this but can't seem to get it straight.
I added a few jars to my project among which is
coll.appl.gw.srvcmail_api.jar
Here you have the ISendMailItem.class and ISendMailService.class files.
Now I know these are interfaces so I created 2 new classes:
Mail implementing ISendMailItem
SendMail implementing ISendMailService
And all of the forced methods are created for me but now I don't know how to use these classes to be able to send a mail.
Can someone help me with this please?

I've adde the mail.jar to my buildpath and put your code in a eventhandler.
When I now generate the corresponding event i get an Exception:
java.lang.ClassCastException: javax.mail.Session
Do you know why I get this?

I have two mail accounts on my Mac. I want one account to bcc me when I send emails from that account. I checked "automatically bcc myself" under mail>preferences>composing, but both accounts bcc me when sending mail. Can I set this to only bcc myself from one specific email account? Thanks.
It does not make sense that your ssh does not have a dash capital Y (-Y) option. It is in "man ssh", and my 10.6.6 has the -Y option, and I've had a -Y option since at least Tiger (10.4) days.
My ssh is in /usr/bin/ssh
I'm not very good at X11 issues, so I'm just throwing ideas out there.
Does your broken account have a $HOME/.ssh/config file, and if so, what is in it?
Does the broken account have any $HOME/.x* or $HOME/.X* files that X11 might be reading to configure your X11 behavior differently from the new test account?

$HOME/.Xresources
$HOME/.ICEauthority
$HOME/.keymap.km
The above are a few names I found looking through "man X"
While I'm thinking about it, I assume that when going to the server, you are using the exact same user account on the server, so that you have a constant at least at that end.
Have you tried trashing your
$HOME/Library/Preferences/org.x.X11.plist
file, to see if that is affecting the broken account?
Again, I am just throwing out ideas to see if anything sticks. -

Exchange Mail Footer and Disclaimer when sending mail from iPhone
Hi All,
We have a corporate mail footer configured in our Exchange server. It is designed in html and including images. It works fine when i send mail from Outlook or OWA but when i send an email from my iOS devices, our corporate mail footer is shown as plain text in recipient's mailbox.
Briefly, i send email from outlook to you and you see my email and footer message normal. But when i send email from iphone to you, you see my footer as plain text so you can't see our images.
I don't know if it has a solution or not but i think i can find anyone encountered this problem before.
ThanksI, too, was having the same problem of blacking out and returning to home each time I sent an email with Edge. I put the phone to sleep, did a hard reset and re-added my account several times. Each time I came back to mail the message was waiting to be sent again. I finally checked my sent mail and it showed up as being sent 22 times. Apparently you should check the sent folder to make sure if it went through or not before trying again.

Error in sending mail Using java application using SMTP.

I have created a java application of self user registration which also sends email to the user.
I have also added two JAR files ie mail.jar and activation.jar under the PORTAL_INF/lib.
The code works well in other servers but its showing the error-
java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: com.sun.activation.registries.MailcapFile.getMailcapList(Ljava/lang/String;)Ljava/util/Map;

Sending mail from apex application
Hi Everyone
I configured the APEX mail settings,
when I am sending the mail from DATABASE by UTL_MAIL by(SQLPLUS) logging in as sysdba the mail is sending,but if I use in apex SEND E-mail process its not sending the mail,
In ADMIN side,Manage Instance-->Mail queue I checked and clicked the SEND ALL MAIL,
simply it showing as "mail sent" but am not receiving any mail,and also there is no ERROR(Error field is blank)
What willl be the problem and where can I check it,or what is the alternative way?kindly help me.

FM TO send a mail from SAP to user with attachment in .csv format but the data isnot getting displayed correctly ...

How is the user opening the .csv attachment?
I'm guessing that it should be opened with Excel.
Are you using an attachment document type of 'XLS'?
If not, then the attachment won't be opened with Excel unless the user right-clicks on it and does 'Open with'.
Even then, the user will have to use the Excel import wizard.
Is a .csv file what you want?
You can use the ABAP OLE stuff to write a native Excel file that can be attached to an email.
Or you can (at the cost of more work) write the Excel file (still type XLS) using XML, which gives you more control, and still works when your program is run in the background.

When sending mail from iphone to alias the alias gets replaced by primary mail address
I have a mailbox with 3 aliases.
I need to be able to send to one of these aliased via my iphone mail, but everytime i do this the alias gets replaced by the primary mail address.
Help!I have the exact same problem. My apple ID is [email protected] , which is not any valid email. when i try to send an email from my icloud, it uses my @mac.com apple ID instead of my [email protected] email and i always fail to send it out. This was also alright when i send through iCloud.com. Hope someone would find a solution for this soon.

Sending mail from office applications
greatings, whenever i try to send a word, excel or powerpoint file via email (using the send to > Mail recipient (as attachment)) menu item, MAIL is opened as email application. Eventhough i have selected entourage as my default email application. Is there somewhere to change this, i assume it's a macOS setting somewhere but hav not been able to find it.

i am facing a problem when sending email from my application
when i go to mail queue from " administraion service" i recive error :
ORA-29278: SMTP transient error: 421 Service not available.
i have Enabling Network Services in Oracle Database 11g alredy by running some scripts for Granting Connect Privileges from site : http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E10513_01/doc/install.310/e10496/otn_install.htm#BEHGBHDF
also i have test the mail server by using telnet XXXXX.XXX.com 25 and it have been connected with not problems.
