UOM (additional) field to be added to the SC screen

Hi all,
We are working on SRM 4.0.I need to add a display/output field "unit of Measure" besides the i/p field "Quantity" on the SC screen where i add the items to the SC.
Now when i select the product,the product ID gets populated in the same screen.Now based on my Product selected,i need to populate this field of "Unit of measure" and display the same on the new output field.
Can anyone tell me what needs to be done for creating this additional o/p field besides the std quantity field in the SC screen(any BADI available for this?) as well as for the UOM value to get populated in this field whcih std code need to be modified?
Any help is highly apreciated.

I have found that there are std BADIs available for adding custom fields..But cna anyone tell me that specifically for my reqt as mentioned,i need to add the field at the Header or item level?Also if header level,wil i be able to display this field?
Also,if i need to populate this field with soem value based on the product which i select in the initial screen,do i need to make any changes in any of the std code or just use the BADI to populate this field.
Lastly,i just need to have this field as display field.For that wil i hav to use the MODIFY SCREEN method of BADI BBP_CUF_BADI_2?Pls clarify.

Custom fields to be added to the result list through AET

Hi All,
I have to add the custom fields to the Result list of the Ibase. I came to know that this can be achieved through the AET(application enhancement tool). I have done the following steps
1. I enabled the AET through personalization settings and i clicked on the show configurable area icon.
2.I have chosen the reult view for which custom field (Zfield) has to be added.
3.One pop-up came, but the 'Create New Field' Button is in disable mode.
Because of this i am not able to add the customi fields to the result list. Please provide me the solution to overcome this issue.

Hi,
it is not recommended to create custom field manually. Adding a new field in a BOL structure is not enough. Because you need also the field in the database and maybe also in other structures, i.e. Middleware.
As far as I know AET is able to enhance IBASE application. In the Config Tool, AET tries to determine which enhanced business object is relevant for the current application(in your case IBASE application). When AET is able to determine an enhanced business object, it will activate the "Create New Field".
The determination of enhanced business object is based on the UI object type that is set in IBASE application.
You need to make sure 2 points here.
1. IBASE application has to set UI object type. Use tab to get the focus in any button of the view that you want to enhance, than press F2. You will get a popup and it shows a field "Object Type(Searched For)". That is the UI object type which is set by the application.
2. Go to SE11 and open the UI object type table (BSP_DLC_OBJ_TYPE). Search for this object type which is set by the IBASE application and see whether the given result has also an EXT_BO. EXT_BO in this case is the enhanced business object which is used by AET.
If you do not come any further, please create a CSN message.

IMG-->QM>Quality notifications->Notification Creation->Define Screen Templates--> Define Initial Screens--> select F3 here and enter QM03_CREATE_QMEL_WITH_WINDOW in the column Name of the function module and enter 0100 in the initial screen column., save it.
If you wish to make material document field mandatory, then go to
IMG-->QM>Quality notifications->Notification Creation->Define Screen Templates--> Field Selection: Initial Screens--> select the radio button as REQ for the field RQM01-MBLNR that is for material doc.
Similarly for in the above menu you can make mandatory for reference object screen also
IMG-->QM>Quality notifications->Notification Creation->Define Screen Templates--> Field Selection: Reference Object Screens--> select the radio button as REQ for the field RQM01-MBLNR that is for material doc.
Now, once you finish this , go and try QM01 you will find the POP for Material document entry coming immediately if you pres the Notification button for F3 Notification type.

I don't want some fields to be added in the Tab order.

I dragged a few objects from the OBJECT LIBRARY, say
1. TextField1
2. TextField2
3. TextField3
4. Text1
5. ImageField1
6. Button1
7. CheckBox1
8. CheckBox2
Then I selected 'TAB ORDER' from the 'VIEW MENU' now I want to keep out 'ImageField1' and 'Text1' from the tabbing order.

Hello, I presume you dont want the end-user editing these objects either? If thats the case then use static objects instead. Static objects are not included in the tabbing order. Yes, they are identified with a number when you enable the View | Tabbing Order but only to identify them as part of the reading order. Remember, the tabbing order and reading order share the same sequence. See if you can use a static image instead of an image field. I presume Text1 is already a static text object therefore it wont be tabbed into. If you cant replace the image field with a static image then you can use a workaround. You can protect the access to a field. Protected fields do not participate in the tabbing sequence. Designer does not expose this property so you will have to specify it manually. For example: 1. Select the image field. 2. Go to the XML Source. If it not opened, go to the View menu and select XML Source. It will show up besides the Preview PDF tab. 3. The <field> element will be highlighted. Type access=protected. For example: <field name="ImageField1" y="25.4mm" x="57.15mm" w="25.4mm" h="30.4mm" access="protected"> 4. Preview the form. Does this help solve your problem? Additional Fields of an infotype in a overview screen??

Dear Alls,
I have a question. I m using recruitment module, i have added field in previous employment infotype 0023 but i want to maintain multiple data in this infotype. but this addiotional field is not diaplay in overview screen while it is in infotype.
Kindly let me know is there any provision to add addtional fields in overviwe screen of an infotype.

Hi Sehrish,
Ask your ABAP consultant to change the layout of the screen and as the last salary is a custom field so this must be added to that particular screen number otherwise it will not be displayed as this is not standard field. First check for the program and the screen number then as a prerequisite add the custom filed last salary to the table & structure PA0023 & P0023 and the same must be made available while creation of an infotype 0023 in PA30.
And the screen which you are referring in the screen shot attached is a Enter additional data action screen in Recruitment module and its not an overview screen of an infotype.

SAP Fields not getting displayed on the BDT screen

Hello Gurus,
I am trying to add 2 custom fields on to the claims management screen. The following steps were followed to add 2 fields on to the claims Management subclaim screen.
1. Create a field group Zxxxxx1 with the two fields attached to it as input enabled.
2. Create a View Zxxxxx2 attach the created field group Zxxxxx1, then create a subscreen screen add two fields to the screen and make them as input enabled. Then attached the subscreen to the View.
3. Create a PBO and PAI function modules for the screen and attach it to the View Zxxxxx2.
4. Create a section Zxxxxx3 and attach the view Zxxxxx2 to the section.
5. Attach the section to the Subclaim Overview Screen.
6. Inspite of doing all the above steps the screen is not getting displayed or the Function module PAI / PBO / FMOD is not being called.
Since I am attaching the section to a standard screen sequence I am not doing any modification to the screen sequence and screen sequence catagory.
Kindly let me know the steps I am missing in the configration of 2 new fields via BDT.

did you create your own Z BDT application? Is it set to be active?
I have no access to any claims management system: Does the claim object support divisibility? If so, have you assigned the correct data set in your view?
Also, if you have your own Z BDT application and the claim object does support divisibility, did you assign the Z application to the divisibility view?

How do I remove an icon that I added to the Home Screen in Safari?

I accidentally added a webpage icon to my Home Screen in Safari and cannot remove it. On the Home Screen the icons do not act like they do on the other pages of the iPad. They do not jiggle nor can they be dragged to be removed. In the process of trying to get rid of some I ended up creating duplicates. How can I delete some of these?

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).
No data will be lost.

Additional information is being added to the description field in iPhoto

Hi all
I have an Events file in iPhoto for Aircraft I have taken photographs of.   They are stored in 'registration order - ( eg. A-ABCD - Z-EFGH, etc.)    To each photograph I have added a description in the 'description field ' which includes make, model, construction number, owner and where seen including flight information.    When I had about 200 photographs I noted information from one photograph had been added to many of the others.    In due course I deleted the additional information, leaving just the information I originally entered.   Now I have over 900 photographs and this problem has arisen again.   On many of the photographs information added to a particular aircraft has been added to many of the others - added not over written.   In some instances information from two aircraft has been added.
Obviously I can go through each photograph and delete the additional information but this will take time.   Can anyone offer advice as to why this is happening and how can I ensure it does not repeat again.   I have many more photographs to add to the Aircraft folder but I am reluctant to do so until I can prevent recurrence.

I would try rebuild iPhoto.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

All fields are not displaying in the infotype screen control

Hello Everybody,
All the fields from infotype 2001 and 2002 are not getting displayed in the screen control for these infotypes and
when I checked the screens for these infotypes, the mod. groups/functions has not been set for field 'Group3' for those
infotype fields.
Is there a way I could set this field ' Group3' for these infotype fields also ? Can it be done thru screen exit and if yes could
anyone tell me what's the screen exit for these infotypes ?

Additional fields in MB51

Hi Experts.
In MB51 report, an additional field has been added by the functional consultant. I have also enhance the report and am using this field. However, after transporting it to production server, MB51 is giving a dump stating that the field does not exist.
All transport requests have gone to production server in proper sequence. The additional fields are also seen in customization.
Program RM07DOCS_GENERATED does not have the addition field.
Kindly assist.

Please, see SAP Note 357187 - MB51: Fields in field catalog / selection screen. In the final of the note, it says:
"Start Transaction MB51. Then Include report RM07DOCS_GENERATED is generated
automatically again."
Check if it is true in your system

E-Recruiting - additional fields in BSP vs. WDA

Good morning!
After searching high and low and not finding an answer, I would like to ask the experts this question.
For the BSP candidate pages we were able to include additional fields via the customer include tables in selected HRPnnnn tables.
The new fields were automatically added to the respective screen.
Now that SAP is replacing the BSP with WDA, how are the additional field customer includes being used? Or is there a complete different way to add your own fields to the candidate profile screens?

As of now, the custom fields automatically being displayed on screen is available only with BSP.
The WDA screens are available for extrenal & internal candidates. You can craete your Z fields in cutomer include in the respective infotypes. The WDA developer will ahve to explicitly put the UI elements on the relevant screens & map them to these Z fields. We had a similar requirement & we have done this in this way.
