  • Since 7.0.2 my iPod wont update but freezes

Since I updated to 7.0.2 my iPod Photo (30GB) will not update. iTunes starts then says 'updating' but freezes after roughly 20-30 songs. I have not reset my iPod to factory setting but this has not made any difference.
I have seen many discussions on this, but can't see the answer to solve this.
    Please help.

Correction. I HAVE reset my iPod

Let's try the following document with that one.
iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
(If the "Automatically detect settings" checkbox is already checked, try unchecking and rechecking it and clicking OK.)

Try #2 and #3 in link below. If neither work, you most likely have a hardware issue.

  • Security update KB3025390 freezes computer

    security update KB3025390 freezes computer
I thought my computer was permanently broken after a routine update. It took over 30 minutes to turn on, getting stuck before and after the sign on screen, could not open any programs or the internet or help, task manager did not work, the internet
did not work. I finally managed to open up installed programs and get it to show me updates. The only update done was windows security update KB3025390. I removed this update, and my computer started working again, as if nothing had happened. My problem
is now whenever my computer is idle, it automatically downloads this update again, and turns into a brick for an hour and a half while I wait patiently for it to allow me to get into the correct screen to get rid of this update. I takes 5-10 minutes after
making a selection for it to open.
I need to either fix it so this update stops freezing my computer or stop my computer from uploading this update.
    Help PLEASE
My computer runs windows 7, with service pack 1
    I have norton internet security
other recent updates(over 2 weeks ago) that my computer runs fine with:

    Hi LizO_774,
This update is for security reason of Internet Explorer 11, so if you have installed Internet Explorer 11, it is not recommended to uninstall it.
In this current situation, I suggest you run this tool first and install the update again:
    System Update Readiness Tool

if you don’t have Internet Explorer 11, you may hide this update:

  • My new iPod touch is getting really warm while I use it. Is it normal? I mean, I have silicone cover, maybe it's the reason for iPod being so HOT?... How do you think, is it too important to have a cover on the iPod? How about screen protector? :S

Reminders Notifications in Mountain Lion latest update keeps freezing on my homescreen and won't go away when trying to close. Please help.
I'm using a 2009 Macbook Pro and have installed the lastest update 10.8.1

I've been seeing this for some time now and getting quite sick of it. It happens when I've been away at work for the day and come home to find frozen notifications.
You can fix this temporarily by quitting Notification Centre from Activity Monitor but it keeps happening to me every week or so.

I never thought i would say I'm going back to explorer... help. Thank You. I am currently running Firefox 6 and the newest download helper version.

my iphone 5 after the 7.1 updates it freezes the screen

Restore iPhone with iTunes on computer. Restore is more thorough than Update.

when i try to add music to my ipod it takes centuries to download then when i click on the ipod while its syncing my itunes freezes up..any suggestions?

In itune did you play any of the songs downloaded. If so plug your ipod back in an manualy check off to sync all music. If that doesn't work you might have to restore the ipod.

  • Version 3.1.3 screwed my ipod and it's freezing freezes

Ok so I updated to version 3.1.3 and the update process failed and got an error (9). So I resumed the update from another PC.
After successful 5th attempt to update to version 3.1.3 I was playing with the apps on my ipod touch and the apps freeze. I can hit the menu button and go back to menu, then accessing the app again, but accessing certain stuff in the apps causes the screen to freeze. It was fine before this update.
    Examples of when it freezes:
    - accessing Contacts (came with the ipod) and then when selecting a contact to see more details, screen freezes.
    - in the Safari browser (came with the ipod), when you click on the "+" and then click 'Mail link to email', it freezes.
    - accessing the DL app Twitterific is fine, but once when u click on the "*", it freezes.
    - a few of the other apps freeze on the loading screen.
I have restored it and loaded my back up twice. Also for some reason restoring it on the PC that it's synced with always causes an error. So restoring on the other PC works, but it's just inconvenient to do that.
I really don't want to restore it without the backup because I have alot of stuff on it and saved notes and things.
I was thinking that the DL'd apps need to be updated, but Contacts and Safari came with the ipod and shouldn't freeze like that.
I just got this ipod in Jan.

Installed 3.1.3 into my iPhone. No problems.
Installed 3.1.3. into my iPod Touch. iTunes would then stop responding when the either the iPhone or iPod Touch was plugged in.
    Symptoms:
    spinning beach ball.
Activity Monitor > iTunes said "not responding".
Can also check the Force Quit window.
    Called Apple Support.
Reinstalled iTunes and other stuff. No luck.
Finally moved some pLists and restarted iTunes.
    ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iTunes.plist
    ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iTunesHelper.plist
    ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iTunes.eq.plist
( I also had some plists, that I couldn't delete. Reinstalled iTunes. iTunes installer deleted them.)
Also, check iTunes plug-ins by moving to another folder
    ~/Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
