Update file data into xk02
Hi All,
I need to update file data into vendor master general data,company code data ,purchase org data in xk02 . Is there any BAPI for xk02 to update all the vendor master data into general data,company code, purchase org data.
Please any one share sample code for BAPI.
I have searched in SCN and could not find any sample code for this function modules BAPI_Vendor_Edit or vendor_update.
please help me for sample code.

Hi Sunitha,
I prefer to use LSMW here.You can achieve it by using batch recording option here.
Do a recording for the XK02 tcode with all mandatory required fields filled and create a sample file and upload.I t is higly ecomnomical in your case than a BDC upload.

i had a problem with this bdc , i am getting like "specified table name not recgonised" in the fm gui_upload while debugging.
when i am using the ws_upload it is working fine.

to pick the file from front-end or location.
then use function

Loading wave file data into array

For starters, I'm still learning java, so forgive me if this is a trivial question. I've been using the documentation on the java sound api as a guide. What I am trying to do is to load a wav file data into a byte array and eventually I will need it to have it in an int array so I can pass the data into a demodulation algorithm to display as an image. This wave file is a recorded signal from a NOAA satellite. Here is my code thus far:

When you read the multiple recordset strucutre file then each record in txt file should have an header from which you can identiy which segment it should go.. and you identiy it by using the keyfiledValue in file adapter

abc def ghi can be read using the file adater to header 1 usinfg key field value, but using the same file adapter you cannt put GHI into header2.
else you should read whole row abc def ghi jkl mno pqr in single filed and write an UDF to split data to header1 and Header 2
similarly you have to take care for item records also
if your inout file is something like this
abc def ghi
jkl mno pqr
123 123 123 123 123 123
456 456 456 456 456 456
abc identifies to Header 1
JKL for Header 2 so on...
read the whole line in single field and write UDF to Split to header 1 and header 2 similary for item. -

if you are using OO ALV, you should enable the 'SAVE' button in the main toolbar. if the user press the save button, then you should upload the data to the custom table.

Most efficient way to load XML file data into tables
I have a complex XML file running into MBs. I want to load it's data into 7-8 tables.
Which way will be better:
1) Use SQL Loader to actually load directly into the 7-8 tables directly by modifying the control card.
Is this really possible and feasible? I am not even sure about it
2) Load data as XML Type in a table and register it. Then extract from there to load into various tables.
Please help. I have to find the most efficient way of doing it.

SudhirYes it is possible to use SQL*Loader to parse and load XML, but that is not what it was designed for and so is not recommended. You also don't need to register a schema, just to load/store/parse XML in the DB either.
So where does that leave you?

Those talk some about storage options and reading in XML from disk and parsing XML. They should also give you options to consider. Without knowing more about your requirements for the effort, it is difficult to give specific advice. Maybe your 7-8 tables don't exist and so using Object Relational Storage for the XML would be the best solution as you can query/update tables that Oracle creates based off the schema associated to the XML. Maybe an External Table definition works better for reading the XML into the system because this process will happen just once. Maybe using WebDAV makes more sense for loading XML to be parsed (I don't have much experience with this, just know it is possible from what I've read on the forums). Also, your version makes a difference as you have different options available depending upon the version of Oracle.

Conversion of PDF file data into ABAP internal table

I am unable to convert the binary data into text format by using some function modules and classes .please find tthe function modules names and classes:
SCMS_BINARY_TO_TEXT,SCMS_BIN_TO_TEXT, CL_ABAP_CONV_IN_CE,CL_ABAP_CONV_OBJ. But these are not working as per my requirement.
My requirement is we need to upload PDF file (legecy file)which is saved under the PC into SAP and display the same PDF data into the adobe interactive form. For thise i have done coding by using above function modules and classes but i got the unwant on the adobe form i.e display lke "##############$$%%^^&&*((((()))%%%%%%###*^^&&***"

the table is pdf and all info for the pdf is there already in a table?
if you continue the source code the only thing is that the table is combined with a file name and makes it happen that you get an actual file.
or do you want to have the pdf in a single field ?
or do you want to store the document on a server where the location is stored in an internal table ??

Trying to export pdf file data into Excel.
Dear Adobe Community,
I have a file that is 122 pages long and I am trying to export the data into Excel. When I try to copy the pdf info, it shows in Excel as a picture, not the specific data. I have Adobe Acrobat Professional 7.0 and the pdf version is 1.5 (Acrobat 6.x). The PDF producer is Adobe Acrobat 7.0 paper capture plug-in. Are are any suggestions on how to trasfer the data to Excel? Thanks in advance.

Do I understand you correctly that the PDF is actual text, or is it a scan? If you scanned it and got just the graphics, you have to run OCR before you can continue. I would do this on a copy of the scan file so that you can always go back to that file as you try things.

I am not sure which FM u r using for downloading. The FM GUI_DOWNLOAD will work for your requirement. Set the parameter Append to value 'A'. Every time it will append the data to ur file.
