Update mapping via OMB

I need update a function name inside all my mappings!
Does anyone knows if is possible do it with OMB or another automated way?

Maploader mac v1.1 crashes when updating maps on t...

Hi,
when I try to update maps on my nokia c5 via maploader mac v1.1 i get the following crash ( see end of message)
I already removed the maploader and associated nokia multimedia transfer app completely (including com-files aso) and reinstalled them -> no improvement
also a hardreset on my phone did not resolve the problem.
Do you guys have an idea what could solve that problem?

I'm getting the same crash as clevrusr with the same data in the crash log.
I thought this part from clevrusr's (and my) crash log looked curious:

SETTING PROPERTIES FOR A MAPPING VIA OMBPLUS ISN'T WORKING

Hi, i have a problem with OMBPLUS:
I have a script which creates a mapping and then is supposed to change properties for the mapping and seems to do so via OMBRETRIEVE. But when looking in OWB the properties aren't changed.
If I change any of the properties inside OWB and then run the script again, then the properties are changed. Does anyone know why the behavior is like this?

Thanks for your idea Roman, but it doesn't solve my problem.
The problem is regardless of which property (Runtime parameters in OWB) I try to change. Before ANY property is changed via OWB (GUI) the changes via OMB doesn't come to effect (even if RETREIVE after OMBCOMMIT says so).

N95, updates, maps and going online

Hi
Updated my trusty N95 to V 35.0.002. Have managed to update maps using latest Ovi suite. See below for hints) Have just installed UK maps and English voice and now have 30 days only free navigation. (Just what does happen to my old licence that I paid for 3 yrs?) 'Old' maps was set to go online via WiFi at start up using one of several wifi access points and always worked perfectly. Now, maps starts and after a few seconds a message comes up saying that there is 'no internet connection, go to Tools" etc. I then go round in a loop where I tell the phone to go online and it tells me that it can't connect. (This can be during a time when I am connected via a browser to WiFi - ie I have wifi internet access. It also won't connect if I am not already connected via wifi.) My N96 is set up to do exactly the same ( log on via wifi) and manages to log on to wifi by itself.
Any ideas on how to make my N95 connect to the outside world with Maps?
Hints for updating maps.
As can be seen from the forums, Ovi maps are a pain. I too found this. My recommendations are:
Uninstall any previous versions of Ovi - it doesn't seem to update properly.
Use something like CCleaner to uninstall anything with Nokia in the title.
Download the latest version of Ovi suite and install.
This seemed to work for me.
Note: If you have PC Suite installed and Maploader 3: This worked for my N96 on my work PC running XP SP3 and is recommended because you can select lots of maps and queue for auto download and installation. It doesn't work on my laptop running Vista. I had to use Ovi and install one map at a time on the Vista system
PC Suite and Maploader 3 running on XP refuses to recognise my N95.
Also, it is possible to download a maps package for both the N95 (nokia_maps_3.01_09wk44_b01_s60_3.1_lm_rom.sis)
and N96
(nokia_maps_3.01_09wk44_b01_s60_3.2_lm_rom.SIS)
from Nokia. If you try to install using PC Suite to either a N95 or N95, both packages say that they are not supported by either the phone or PC Suite. So why are they there and how can you install them???

If you come out of the Maps application and go to Options > Settings > Connectivity > Destinations > Internet/ WAP Services.
you can then select which access point is used for the various network destinations.
Search for existing Access points and see if you can set your O2 Prepay WAP access point as priority 1 Access Point.
Then within Maps ensure that Internet/WAP Services is the method selected to go online in Options > Tools > Settings > Internet > Network Destinations.

Can't update maps at Nokia 6710 Navigator

1. Backed the phone up.
2. Updated the phone software.
3. Tried to update all the necessary maps directly via Ovi Suite by selecting and clicking "Download" button close to the country map name.
The OVI is very slowly preparing, and then brings me to the message that connection with Ovi Maps server is timed out. Is it really an issue today? Or am I doing something wrong?
PS. When I try installing maps via MapUploader, the phone reverts with a "full memory" message - can't understand at all how to figure out what is kept in 48MB of its memory?! (all messages/music are at memory card; videos removed; games removed etc.)

Timed out normally means the server is overloaded unless you get the same message from other any web address . In which case its your connection .
Full memory means RAM close all applications first ,

Sync/Update Maps on Magellan Roadmate 2000 GPS

Ok. Bought a Magellan Roadmate 2000 GPS navigator at Staples. Great Buy only $199. I realize that its a bargain unit and understand that its limited compared to TomTom, etc.
Didn't realize until I got it home (Staples won't let you look at the box it comes in until you buy it and the customer associate was useless) that I couldn't update via Mac with included disc/software. Ok. Staples has 14 day return policy. Had to go out of town for two weeks and there wasn't a Staples where I was. So, I'm stuck with it.
Does anyone know if there is a third party program that will allow me to download and update maps or synch my unit with my Mac running OS X 10.4?

Edit, even though you are past the return period, you may be able to speak to the customer support at the store you bought it from, and explain to them your issue. Tell them the circumstances, and who knows, maybe they'll be willing to give you an exception. If not, ask if Magellen is willing to take it back under their warranty, since it is really a limitation they could have better documented when you bought the product.

Software update check via iTunes with error message (1664).

I had a recent experience with my new Ipad '4'. It is running IOS 6.0.1. When I perform a software update check via iTunes, it returned a message saying that an unknown error had occured (1664). When I connect my iPad 2, and did the same check, it returned the nomal "softawre is current version (IOS 6.0.1)" message. However when I checked the software update via Settings in my Ipad '4'. it returned the msaage "your software is up to date". I had completely rebooted (totally switched off) the Ipad '4' and it still gave me the same message via Itune. not sure what is truly going on here.

i have just updated maps to 3.04,ive had a look in app mngr and there is all this glup that i probably dont need and would just like to get some space back for phone.i have deleted the share location stuff,but wondred if there was anything else i could delete safely without compromising the maps.

Unfortunately there isn't anything else you can remove without it affecting the function of the Maps app, I wouldn't delete the wifi support, it's an additional positioning feature that comes with maps3.04. Sorry

Problem in copying a mapping from OMB+..soln needed asap

I am trying to copy a mapping from OMB+.
This is a simple copy in the same module....but its giving the following error. can somebody help me in this...

found the solution..
Its the problem with length of the mapping name.
When its copying, OWB generates a new mapping prefixed with 'COPY_OF_' to the original mapping name and then renames it.
In the above case, Its exceeding the limit and therefore abbreviating the copied mapping to 'COPY_OF_M_STG_BP_AP_INTL_SUBS_1'
and when trying to rename the mapping, its unable to find the object.
Soln...limit the mapping names to 18-20 characters to allow copying from OMBPLUS.

Update mapping of a node

I have a few nodes in my component which correspond to some of the function modules. These function are meant for reading data from a table and saving data into it.
My mappings are working perfectly. But now i need to add another field to the concerned database table. Thus, these nodes need to be updated. Is it possible that i update the mappings for these nodes without creating the service calls all over again.
Also note that the node for the function module that fetches data is bound to an alv grid?
The 'create attribute' and 'update mapping' options are disabled for this node in the component controller.
Is it possible to update mappings without doing too much of rework?

Hi Priyank.
The nodes of my service calls are enabled for editing in the component controller. I can add atrributes. Make sure you are in edit mode. Then you can add the field to the corresponding node.
After that you can update the mapping in corresponding views if necessary.

as I can see the problem is caused by the update 2 / 2 anna
must do a hard reset update 1 / 2 and 2 / 2 anna, then go to nokia store and download "ovi maps" and install
reappears update 2 / 2 anna, do not update, otherwise the problem will return.

Can't install/update Apps via App Store * ios 8.1 iPhone 5s

since the ios update 8.1 i can't install or update apps via App Store. I can't even download free apps or do the free updates for installed apps. Have tried to soft reset my phone, tried to outlog and log in again in the app store, turned wlan off and on and tried to download without wlan. Nothing works.
I got an 1 year old iPhone 5s with the new ios 8.1. Never got any problems with the phone before, since this update!

If i click for example on the update button in app store, there is just this ''downloading circle'' and shows loading.. and loading.. and loading and just nothing happens. Also the sympol of the updating app gets grey and there stands ''waiting''.
If i try to download an App, there is the same on the install/download button and there shows up a grey symbol of the app and nothing else happens.
No error message or something else. Just shows that it ''loads'' and nothing happens.

Linksys srw2048 unable to update firmware via xmodem (using hyperterm)

I have three srw2048 series switches at my new job. One updated fine via the web interface the other two (after I found a windows machine to use the web interface) looked as though they were uploading the new file but after a reboot I was still on the old verison. So I broke out the console cable. What I have done is to Download Software to the switch (option 1) this kicks me over into xmodem. Once I am in xmodem I choose to send a file (the latest rom) using the 1K Xmodem protocol it immediately gives me retries and errors until it reaches a threshold that ends the session. During this whole process zero k is transferred.

The only thing I can think is that I must need older files to upgrade to an intermediary version before loading the latest 1.22 rom file.

Also, try another terminal program like Teraterm Pro. Maybe it needs "classic" xmodem?
