i want to know the coding for updating sy-time in screen painter form

Hi Siva,
You can update the sy-time by defining a time variable in PBO module and modifying it as you want. It will display the changed time when the screen is displayed.
You cannot directly changed the time in the screen painter as it's only purpose is to setup the screen layout and outlook. Rest all of its logic is given in PBO and PAI modules.

Did you have corresponding data object defined in program?
I guess this is where the issue comes from. Simply system can't exchange data b/w screen and program.
Try declaring one, it should help then.
Also, what do you mean by column ? If it is a table control you need to use definition of this table, the simplest is usually by
TABLES name_of_table.
If this is a single field taken as reference from DDIC you should simply define it like
DATA name_of_table-name_of_column TYPE name_of_table-name_of_column.

To get Drop Drown Box on screen .
Follow these steps.
1.
Go to T.Code SE51 and Select Laypout for the Screen.
2.
Double click on the field for which u want Dropdown box.
3.
Then U will see Name ,Text ,DROPDOWN.Click on that and select List Box or ListBox with key . Better to to select first one.
4.
Save and Activate ur screen .
5.
Enter the following piece of code in the PBO of the screen.(Change for ur requirement).
6.
The following code should be written under PROCESS BEFORE EVENT in the MODULE.

create input field for DATE and TIME on screen.ex. DATE1 and TIME1 are screen field names .
2.
Just assign SY-DATUM to DATE1 and SY-UZEIT to TIME1 under PROCESS BEFORE EVENT.
3.How to create text box for giving comments?
1.
Define one variable in the TOP include with type STRING means Global variable.
2.
Create one input field by giving screen field name which u have defined in the above step.
4.How to store the records that we are entering in a table?
For this case.. Create one table control. you can select one record and create record in the Z table by pressing button on Application toolbar..
Check the following steps to handle Table control.

U should take one variable in your internal table or in structure which

How can i transfer data from old MacBook Pro, which is too old to update time machine, to the newest MacBook Pro?

I recently bought a new MacBook Pro, and wanted to transfer all the data from my old MacBook Pro, but I get the message saying I need to update time machine on my old one in order to use time machine. However, my old one is too old to update. So I decided to use the cable to transfer, because I heard I can do it that way even though it could take time. But I have no idea what to do...

A Basic Guide for Migrating to Intel-Macs
The Knowledgebase article Intel-based Mac: Some migrated applications may need to be updated refers to methods of dealing with migrating from PowerPC chips to Intel with the Migration Assistant safely. The authors of this tip have not had a chance to verify this works in all instances, or that it avoids the 10.6.1 and earlier Guest Account bug that caused account information to get deleted upon use of the Migration/Setup Assistant. However, a well backed up source that includes at least two backups of all the data that are not connected to your machine will help you avoid potential issues, should they arise. In event it does not work, follow the steps below.
If you are migrating a PowerPC system (G3, G4, or G5) to an Intel-Mac be careful what you migrate. Keep in mind that some items that may get transferred will not work on Intel machines and may end up causing your computer's operating system to malfunction.
Rosetta supports "software that runs on the PowerPC G3, G4, or G5 processor that are built for Mac OS X". This excludes the items that are not universal binaries or simply will not work in Rosetta:
Classic Environment, and subsequently any Mac OS 9 or earlier applications
Screensavers written for the PowerPC System Preference add-ons
All Unsanity Haxies Browser and other plug-ins
Contextual Menu Items
Applications which specifically require the PowerPC G5 Kernel extensions
Java applications with JNI (PowerPC) libraries

In addition to the above you could also have problems with migrated cache files and/or cache files containing code that is incompatible.
If you migrate a user folder that contains any of these items, you may find that your Intel-Mac is malfunctioning. It would be wise to take care when migrating your systems from a PowerPC platform to an Intel-Mac platform to assure that you do not migrate these incompatible items.
If you have problems with applications not working, then completely uninstall said application and reinstall it from scratch. Take great care with Java applications and Java-based Peer-to-Peer applications. Many Java apps will not work on Intel-Macs as they are currently compiled. As of this time Limewire, Cabos, and Acquisition are available as universal binaries. Do not install browser plug-ins such as Flash or Shockwave from downloaded installers unless they are universal binaries. The version of OS X installed on your Intel-Mac comes with special compatible versions of Flash and Shockwave plug-ins for use with your browser.
The same problem will exist for any hardware drivers such as mouse software unless the drivers have been compiled as universal binaries. For third-party mice the current choices are USB Overdrive or SteerMouse. Contact the developer or manufacturer of your third-party mouse software to find out when a universal binary version will be available.
Also be careful with some backup utilities and third-party disk repair utilities. Disk Warrior, TechTool Pro , SuperDuper , and Drive Genius work properly on Intel-Macs with Leopard. The same caution may apply to the many "maintenance" utilities that have not yet been converted to universal binaries. Leopard Cache Cleaner, Onyx, TinkerTool System, and Cocktail are now compatible with Leopard.

Because Migration Assistant isn't the ideal way to migrate from PowerPC to Intel Macs, using Target Disk Mode, copying the critical contents to CD and DVD, an external hard drive, or networking will work better when moving from PowerPC to Intel Macs. The initial section below discusses Target Disk Mode. It is then followed by a section which discusses networking with Macs that lack Firewire.
If both computers support the use of Firewire then you can use the following instructions:
Repair the hard drive and permissions using Disk Utility.
Backup your data. This is vitally important in case you make a mistake or there's some other problem.
Connect a Firewire cable between your old Mac and your new Intel Mac.
Startup your old Mac in Transferring files between two computers using FireWire.
Startup your new Mac for the first time, go through the setup and registration screens, but do NOT migrate data over. Get to your desktop on the new Mac without migrating any new data over.
If you are not able to use a Firewire connection (for example you have a Late 2008 MacBook that only supports USB:)
1. Set up a local home network: Creating a small Ethernet Network.
2. If you have a MacBook Air or Late 2008 MacBook see the following:

How to enter values in ztable from screen painter

Hi guys,
I have a scenario,where i have to enter values in ztable for the values entered in screen painter.The screen painter is supposedly having 10 columns. i enter the value in the grid(table) and when i save, the records have to be inserted into ztable created by me. how to go through the problem. kindly help in giving a flow for the problem .If anybody has gone through this scenario please help out.

if ur entering one record at a time from sreen to table then
u have to use ,
in pai module of the screen u have to code,
case sy-ucomm.
when 'SAVE'.
ztable-roll = ztable-roll.
ztable-name = ztable-name.
insert ztable/modify ztable.
ENDCASE.
if ur screen is having a table control
then u have to create a loop inside a module.
like
loop at tabcontrol_name
module insert_data.
endloop.
and in the doubleclked module,
move-corresponding ztable to ztable.
insert ztable.
Note : in both cases u have selected input fields as from
table/dictionary in the screen.

Layout problem in screen painter

hi all,
the screen is not appearing when i click 'layout' button in screen painter when i am enabling a wsp client proxy server. Is there any solution?

some times SAP Gui behaves like this, in my case i faced this problem many times, some times after shutdown my sap logon pad. and restart the sap , go to se51 , it will open the Screen painter normally. But some cases i uninstalled the Gui, and re installed .then only it opens properly. select all components when installing.

I have created a table for master data(zemp_data) in R/3 se11..which has fields like zempid,zempname,zmgrid,zdeptid,zdeptname and i have created the respective fields in screen painter too but my problem is i dont know how to link this fields in the screen painter to the fields in table .to be more clear i want the flow logic or module pool code to link this table when i give an entry in the screen painter for the respective fields..i will really appreciate your answers and award the maximum points for the usefull answer ..as i dont know ABAP much if it is a step by step approach ..that would be helpfull

Please consider the following
In the screen...the fields must be from the database table in Se11..(in screen painter -> use.."get from Dictionary" -> enter the table name -> select the fields -> drag and drop on the screen) or must have the same name in the database table..This will be a link but unless you code to fetch values from database or update values to database there will be no action taking place
Usually in the PBO(process befor output) we write the code to display values before we accept data from the user ie,set default values on the screen if required and prepare the screen for user input
in the PAI of the screen painter we can do data processing ie, data validations,checks and saving based on what the user wants
So imagine you have buttons placed on the screen and there are buttons from standard application bar like BACK,SAVE, set using PFstatus..all the user actions will be linked to a function cod..ie whenever user presses a button we can uniquely idntify what was pressed by assigning a function code to each button in the menu painter or PF status and do the action accordingly
Assume that you have created a push button on the screen painter and assigned it a function code "PUSH"
so whenever you press the button in the variable sy-ucomm "PUSH" will be captured..this you can check in PAI for the screen like
Case sy-ucomm.
when 'PUSH'.
do the needful coding
when 'SAVE'
Modify database table
endcase.
you can check the standard demo programs in SE38 -> program name-> display for basic ABAP coding you have asked for
(1)demo_dynpro_input_output .
(2)demo_dynpro_dictionary
(3)demo_dynpro_push_button

SCreen Painter working not correctly.

In se53 when we go to screen painter it's not coming properly..
some line is coming.
and we got EU_SCRP_WN32 : timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV' error message.
we have sap gui 710 with patch level 7.
the dumpfile also generated.

Symptom
Add-on fails to upgrade on the client when there is a new add-on version available on the server in the common DB.
SAP Business One displays an error message:
"Add-on <Name of add-on>: Add-on installation failed because another version is already installed. Please ensure that the version number is higher than the version previously installed."
Add-on status is then set to pending.
Cause
Consulting.
This issue occurs when both of the following conditions are met:
There is a version of the add-on available on the server in the SARI table of the common DB that is newer than the one on the client.
The server name or IP address registered in the AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo file on the client for this add-on is different than the name or IP address registered with the license server for the SAP Business One database server.
For example, this issue can occur after upgrading to SAP Business One 8.8 and "(local)" is listed as the server name in the AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo file. But according to new security policies, "(local)" is no longer a valid server name and the server name registered with the license server will have changed when upgrading to release 8.8.
The following would occur in such a case:
The SAP Business One 2007 client connects to the (local) server.
The client registers an add-on from the server.
The server is upgraded to release 8.8, and is registered with the license server with an IP address or server name. The client upgrades to release 8.8, and continues to work with the same server. The local AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo file is unchanged by the upgrade.
The add-on is upgraded on the server.
At the next logon, the client checks the version of the add-on on the server and finds that it has been upgraded. The client attempts to upgrade the add-on using the information in the AddOnsLocalRegistration file. But the upgrade fails because the server name in the file is incorrect.
Solution
(1) Open "AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo" file
(2) Locate the "Common" node under the "AddOn" node and update the "Name" Attribute to the DB Server machine name which is currently used.
(3) Repeat step(2) to update the "Name" Attribute for all AddOns.
(4) Lanuch the SAP Business One and AddOn should upgrade as usual.

How can i make the radiobutton use screen painter?

hey experts,
i paint 3 radiobuttons in group1 use screen painter,
but when i execute the screen,all of the radiobutton are black, it means radio1='x',radio2 = 'x',radio3 = 'x'.
i only want radio1 = 'x',radio2 = ' ', radio3 = ' '.
how to do that?
and i can't do it in screen 1000.

Hi,
Select the three radio buttons in the screen painter,
Edit->Grouping->Radiobutton group-> define.
In this case all the radio buttons will be under one group and at a time only one will be active.

Screen painter or table control problem

Hi All,
I have created two maintenance views for two custom tables , and two views has been created .
in one view when i excuting sm54 and display i could able to see all the fields in the table control ,
but in the other view i could see only one field very in the table control.
Is this the problem of screen painter with table control , shall i need to intall screen painter again
i am using 4,7 version os sap ,

the screen and include all the fields , actually the system proposes the screen when we are creating
the table maintenance generator.
i selected one step and screen proposed by sap in the overview screen as 1 and i have created table maintenance.

Matrix column position problem in screen painter.

hi.
i am facing one problem.
ie.
i am developing one screen.
it is having 3 matrix
each matrix is having some columns
one matrix ok two matrix ok thrid matrix ok.
but
under third matrix i put some columnes
1, 2 ,3, 4,
in screen painter design mode every thing is ok
it is appearing like 1,2,3,4
but at preview mode or through the code if i open
it is appearing like 1, 4,3,2
in preview mode screen painter if i click on the form settings it is showing only..
matrix one columns only it is not showing either 2 or 3
and if i open the form through the code..
i am able to see the columns of matrix 1 n matrix 2 and matrix 3
i am using some code.

Hi Srinivas,
Can you do one thing for me ? Open your form in screen painter, set the columns as you want to display. Now change the unique id for the matrix. Then try to open it through code or see in preview mode.
