updateble table with HTMLDB_ITEM.TEXTAREA that does not save text area field?

Sak,
Unless I'm misunderstanding your situation, you've wandered outside the abilities of the automatic DML process to update your table. As soon as you use APEX_ITEM objects in your SELECT, you need to write your own table insert/update/delete processes to handle the updated values. The Advanced Apex documentation gives some basic examples for this, but I struggled with it the first time (because I was using a checkbox, which is handled differently than the other types).
For more assistance, try searching this forum for "APEX_ITEM".
Good luck,
Stew

  • Table with a textArea editor doesn't stop editing

I need to have a table with TextArea as editor (to show the information) but it must be changed through a Dialog and return to the render (also a textArea)
The problem is when after modify the information with the editor I call fireEditingStopped(); and it doesn't return to the render it remains in editor so I can modify the text and when I change of cell It returns to the text put by the editor. I need that the user can't change the text showed in the textArea only be modified through the Dialog.
In the next code I isolated the problem, so the Editor change the original text with "NEW VALUE" simulating the action of Dialog (which is not included).
Thanks a lot and thanks for the patience for my bad English.

  • Creating table with null and not null values.

I have to create a table with 5 Null nd 5 Not Null fields. My questionis which fields are place first? Not or Not Null and why???

What you mean is: the person who asked you the question thought the order of columns was important, and wanted to see if you agreed. Or maybe they were just asking the question to see whether you thought it was important (as a test of your understanding of the database).
When I started out in Oracle I was told that it was good practice to have the mandatory columns first and then the optional columns. But if you do some research you find this: the impact of column ordering on space management is: empty nullable columns at the end of the table take up zero bytes whereas empty nullable columns at the middle of the table take up one byte each. I think if that saving really is important to you you need to spring for an additional hard drive.
Besides, even if you do organise your columns as you suggest, what happens when you add an eleventh NOT NULL column to your table? It gets tacked on to the end of your table. Your whole neat organisation is blown.
What does still matter is the positioning of large VARCHAR2 columns: they should be the last columns on your table in case they create chaining. Then any query that doesn't need the large columns can be satisfied without reading the chained block, something that can't be guaranteed if you've got columns after a VARCHAR2(4000) column. This doesn't apply to CLOBs, etc. which are stored separately anyway.
    Cheers, APC

  • How to find table with colum that not support by data pump network_link

    Hi Experts,
We try to import a database to new DB by data pump network_link.
as oracle statement, Tables with columns that are object types are not supported in a network export. An ORA-22804 error will be generated and the export will move on to the next table. To work around this restriction, you can manually create the dependent object types within the database from which the export is being run.
My question, how to find these tables with colum that that are object types are not supported in a network export.
We have LOB object and oracle spital SDO_GEOMETRY object type. our database size is about 300G. nornally exp will takes 30 hours.
We try to use data pump with network_link to speed export process.
How do we fix oracle spital users type SDO_GEOMETRY issue during data pump?
our system is 32 bit window 2003 and 10GR2 database.
    Thanks

    Hi,
I remember there being issues with sdo_geometry and DataPump. You may want to contact oracle support with this issue.

  • Creation of a table with static data(not a DB table)

    Hi
I need to display a table with some static data in an OAF page. This table is not a DB table. It is like an HTML table
I have placed the following query
SELECT 'A1','B1' FROM DUAL UNION SELECT 'A2',B2' FROM DUAL in the VO. But it is returning a single row which is acting as the header of the table.
Can anyone help me to create the table with 2 rows inserted in it.
    Thanks

    Hi
Please execute your VO inside the CO of table region ,right now it is not getting executed, thats y it is giving just column names
use the following code PR method of CO
    OAApplicationModule am = pageContext.getApplicationModule(webBean);
    OAViewObject oav = (OAViewObject)am.findViewObject("XXVO");
    oav.first();
let me know in case of any issue

  • Issue using Photoshop together with Lightroom - "Could not save because..."

I have a really annoying issue with Lightroom and Photoshop CS3. When I use Photoshop as my external editor for Lightroom, Photoshop opens up nicely and I am able to edit. However when I go to save I get the following message "Could not save because the file is already in use or was left open". The only way I'm able to save then is to shut down Lightroom. Then I can save in Photoshop and after that I launch Lightroom again to continue working in there.
I don't know if this has anything to do with this issue, but I do have all my images on a network drive which I access exactly the same way as any external drive.

Online chat with Adobe staff member helped solve the issue.
A corrupted preferences folder was removed, a new one automatically created solved the issue.
New folder was then deleted and old folder reinstated with the original name (if that makes sense).
    Sorted.
    THANK YOU Gokul!

  • BUG: Apex 4.0.1 form on table with report. Not passing ID correctly

I'm trying to create a form on a table with report using the wizard. I opted for a classic report page.
The edit link on the report page does not work. The link looks like this:
    http://ngdwpc3:7777/pls/apex/f?p=101:15:1800428764039812::::P15_ID:#ID#
This is clearly wrong because one would expect a value to be passed and not a column name.
Looking at the generated report page I get 60 columns. This seems to be a result of the setting:
no-checked :Use Query-Specific Column Names and Validate Query
checked :Use Generic Column Names (parse query at runtime only)
The ID column in the table is mapped to COL01.
Changing the value being passed in the link columns to #COL01# results in the correct behaviour.
My guess is that the option "Use Query-Specific Column Names and Validate Query" is the correct setting for the generated report.
    Rene

Yes, I guess this is a Bug.
    1. When you speciify a WHERE clause in the Wozard it adds extra quotes when appending the WHERE into the Report SELECT.
I think thats the root cause, all others just follow as a consequence.
    a. Because the query cannot be parse ( two single quotes) the Use Generic Column Names (parse query at runtime only) is automtacillay set
    b. This leads to COL01 to COL60
    c. Which is turn leads to the link not working.
I could easily recreate the scenario.
To fix it I did the following
    1. Removed the extra quotes from the query
    2. Selected Use Query-Specific Column Names and Validate Query and Saved
    It started working correct.
I suggest you edit your Thred name add BUG at the begining so that it gets spotted by Oracle folks on the forum.

First of all, please don't attach new questions to existing threads. Second asking for step by step procedures on all UI elements is really outside the scope of a forum posting and asking for too much.  If you are that new to Web Dynpro ABAP, then start by reading the online documentation, the WDA WIKI section, and the WDA eLearnings.

  • Database Table where modifications to message long text are stored (log)

    Hi,
As per manual correction mentioned in SAP note 1144291,
we have changed the long text for message XC092 by modification of the long text.
This note 1144291 is a pre-requisite for SAP Note 1310808.
After the notes were implemented, it is noticed that message CURTO1055 has incorrect information in its long text. This is because, the variable in the long text are not correctly defined in the long text.
Both the messages XC-092 and CURTO1-055 are SAP standard.
The error for CURTO1-055 can be rectified by modification of the long text and maintenance of the correct variables.
    However, my question is:
Where do we check the log for document modifcation for a message long text.
I have found the logs relevant to my modification in table DOKHL and DOKIL.
But in which table do we get all of the foll. data:
    - Message class
    - Message number
    - Modification name
    - Modification created by
    - Modification done on
    - Last changed by
    - Last changed on
Kindly help. A <removed by moderator> solution would be really helpful.

    Hi Smruthi,
The modification changes would be in the SMODILOG table. Please note this is a core basis table and should not be changed, however to best find your changes search under the TRKORR field with the relevant tp request.

  • Excel Table with SharePoint Data Connection - Manual Text Entry Misaligned After Refresh

    Greetings!
I have an Excel 2010 workbook that includes a table linked to my SharePoint 2013 site by a data connection. The SharePoint list feeds the table standard information that's managed on the SharePoint site, but I need the user of the Excel workbook to be able
to enter text manually in the workbook to associate local information with the line-items coming from the SharePoint list. To do this, I've added extra columns to the end of the table.
The user can enter information in the appropriate cells in the "extra" columns at the end of the table, but when I refresh the data connection, the addition of a new list item on the SharePoint side results in the user's manually entered text getting
out of alignment with the row it's supposed to be associated with.
    Example
    Column 1(SP)
    Column 2(Extra)
    Row 1
    Item 1
    Row 2
    Item 2
    Text entered for Item 2
    Row 3
    Item 3
Then, if I add a new item to the list in SharePoint, for example, something that would appear between the original items 1 & 2, after refreshing the table, I get the following:
    Column 1(SP)
    Column 2(Extra)
    Row 1
    Item 1
    Row 2
    New Item 1.5
    Text entered for Item 2
    Row 3
    Item 2
    Row 4
    Item 3
The table's data connection is set to insert rows for new items, and I could swear I had this working properly once upon a time...but I can't seem to make it work now.
Any thoughts on what would cause this?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Eric,
    >>but it seems that by extending the table itself to encompass both the SharePoint-sourced columns and the additional columns, that an association would be created between all columns for a given row in the table, no?<<
From my understanding, the answer is no.
    Another example:
I have an additional column named "Column2" and an external column named "ID" (see "before").
After I add a new record and refresh this table, Excel will keep the last row in "column2" and add an empty cell in the second last row. (See "After")
If I delete the eighth data and refresh this table, Excel will still keep the last row and remove the last second cell.
In your case, if you insert a new record in the middle of the data and refresh this table, Excel will synchronized the external data and add a new cell in the additional column in the second last row.
From my understanding, Excel will always change the second last row to suit for deleting or adding record.
    Hope this helps.

  • ADF Table with browser zoom not working properly

    Hi All,
I am using ADF Table to show data from database. I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.4.0.
When user uses browser zoom functions (i.e. Ctrl + or Ctrl -) for zoom in or zoom out, The UI of Table disturbed and columns are not in line.
Here is the snapshot of disturbed table image http://i.imgur.com/07YfB.jpg
I have tested it with Firefox and Internet Explorer and in both the cases if you zoom in the columns are not in line anymore.
    I have added *<accessibility-profile>large-fonts</accessibility-profile> into trinidad-config.xml* and
tried but it gives me the same result.( Reference Oracle Docs http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E16162_01/web.1112/e16181/af_access.htm#BEIDFIIB )
Can anyone suggest solution for how to solve this problem so that the columns will be is line when uses browser's zoom?
    Thanks in advance,
    Viral

    Hi,
I am not using any kind of css for table.
It is default skin and defalut table properties that ADF provides.
