Updating Connection Object Address

Hi all,
Is there any  FM/BPAI to update Connection object address.
with regards,
Sumanth

Hi all,
I am facing an issue while using the FM: ISU_S_CONNOBJ_CHANGE to update a connection object address in the following manner:
CALL FUNCTION 'ISU_S_CONNOBJ_CHANGE'
      EXPORTING
        x_haus         = wa_conobj_update-tplnr
        X_UPD_ONLINE   = co_flagged
        x_no_dialog    = co_flagged
        x_auto         = lwa_address
        X_OBJ          = lwa_object
      IMPORTING
        y_db_update    = lwa_update
I am filling the values in the structures: lwa_address-addr_data & lwa_object-addr1_data_new. (Just filling 6 fields: CITY1, POST_CODE1, HOUSE_NUM1, HOUSE_NUM2, STREET & COUNTRY).
I am also using COMMIT WORK (at sy-subrc = 0). Still this FM is not updating the values.

    Hi,
I need to update Connection object HOUSE_NUM1 IN THE SYSTEM.
Can you suggest me  a function modjule fkor the same.
The standard function module ISU_S_CONNOBJ_CHANGE says coding for no dialog will be included if required.

    Hi Jyothsna
I was a little bit surprised as well to see this comment instead of the necessary code for background processing.
However, it is not overly difficult to create your own function to do so (if you don't want to change the classification).
First have a good look through ISU_S_CONNOBJ_CREATE and create the new function with following calls:
    ISU_O_CONNOBJ_OPEN
Here you have to populate the structures ADRC_STRUC and EHAU
    ADDR_ACCEPT_REG_DATA_ERROR  (optional)
    ISU_CONNOBJ_CHECK
    ISU_O_CONNOBJ_PREPARE_CLOSE
    ISU_O_CONNOBJ_ACTION
    ISU_O_CONNOBJ_CLOSE
If you only want to change address information you could use functions from the central address management, of course.
    Yep

  • BAPI or FM to delete Connection Object Address

    Hello folks,
My requirement is to delete Connection Object Address via BAPI or FM based on some combination. I could not find any FM which accomplishes this task. Please help.
After some research, I found that we can delete Business Partner's Address(Standard & Secondary) via BAPI_BUPA_ADDRESS_REMOVE but could not find any FM which perform the same task for Connection Object. Please let me know whether it is possible or not and if it is not then what is the reason behind.
    Thanks
    Manish Verma

    Manish:
A connection object cannot exist without an address, and has only one, so deletion is not possible.  You can change the address of a CO, or you can mark them for deletion.

  • Creation of connection object address on BP level when saving contract

    Dears,
Does anyone here know how to deactivate the creation of an extra address on BP level when you save your contract?
Currently when I create a BP with 10 contracts on different Ibases in CRM, IS-U creates 10 addresses (of usage CON_OBJECT) for this BP. This change on the BP often fails in the replication due to problems with the address guids...
    Thanks in advance,

Already found it in move-in customizing...

  • Update  address details of connection object

    Hi,
I need a FM/BAPI to update address details of connection object.
I'm currently using ADDR_UPDATE and 'ADDR_MEMORY_SAVE'  I'm able to successfully update 9 address lines.
But not the telephone and fax number.
Hence I need a FM/BAPI to specifically update telephone and fax number of connection object.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks.

    Updating Connection Object Address

  • Need clarification  in usage of  premise and connection object

    Hi everyone,
I  am working on a project and for that i have  do move in  for around 30 customers. i did up to move in . I assumed 5 customers from a single appartment and grouped  them. so i  used same connection object and premise for them. After move- in is done  i checked the Equipment numbers  generated for all the 5 in that group. The  address in equipment display(ie03) and also the customer display (XD03)  is overlapped  with the connection objects address. so it is showing same address for all 5 customers. After that i changed the premise but used the same conection object. But again the customer address is overlapped with the given connection object address. can anyone help me how to solve this if i have a scenario  like this :  5 customers from same appartment. how to create the connection obj and premise .
    Thanks,
    Archana

    Archana,
Please have a look at the IS-U data model. The connection objects relates to the building and the premises to the appartments. The 5 customers/consumers/business partners live in their own premise. On premise level you may detail the address with such as "1st floor last door to the right".
Devices (meters) are installed technically in a devlice location that can be is linked to premise and connection object. Finally the utility installation holds all billing relevant data while the contract is the link between the technical master data and the business master data. During a move-in the address list of a BP is completed by the address of the connection object (if customized).
As you can see there are various factors affecting the address of a business partner and a installed device.
    Kind regards,
    Fritz

  • Updating to connection object in JDeveloper

    Dear all,
For my BC4J project, I have a connection by name CorrosionConnection. This connection is set with username=cer2265, password=cer2265,sid=cer, hostname=196.15.40.23,port=1521.
So for so good. Application is working fine and I can happily make any transaction.
This is my default setting. Suppose I have placed a text file as follows.
    username: cer2265
    password: cer2265
    sid: cer
    hostname: 196.15.49.23
    port: 1521
Let us name this file as connection.txt. When ever application starts application should read this file and should update CorrosionConnection object with this information.
Now suppose If i need to change the ip address from 196.15.49.23 to 196.15.49.22 what I need to do is the following..
    username: cer2265
    password: cer2265
    sid: cer
    hostname: 196.15.49.22
    port: 1521
Thus a type of dynamic connection object is now created, where I can even change the username, password , sid and port.
I don't know how to do this. Reading the file can be done by any filestream object. Updating the connection object is the problem.
Can any one help me in this regard,
    Thanks in advance.

If you need your connection to be dynamic because of DHCP you could use "localhost" or "127.0.0.1" for your IP address if your database server is on same machine as application server.

  • Populate County for Supplier Address of the Connection Object

    Hi
Is there any way that we can populate county (Region) field for supplier address of the connection object i.e premise address (ISU) in SAP system? This is not a mandatory field hence is not filled up by customers (Business Partners).
County here I mean is eg:
    Country is UK:
County is Essex then Region code is "ES" etc..
    Please provide your valuable suggestions
Note: There are billions of customers for which region needs to be populated.
    Thanks and Regards

    Any idea?
I want to maintain County/Region for UK in Supplier SAP system of ISU..

  • How can I update an object and its nested collection- Agengy, SMP 3.0

    Hello Gurus,
I have two objects: PurchaseOrders and PurchaseItems. 1 PurchaseOrder has more than 1 PurchaseItems. In my Java code, I create a Item array in PurchaseOrder object to store the PurchaseItems.
What I want to do is to update the PurchaseOrder object. There are 2 things I have to do:
    Update PurchaseOrder object.
Update an existing PurchaseItem of the PurchaseOrder and/or create a new PurchaseItem of that PurchaseOrder?
I already created a Bapi Java class to edit a selected PO and every Item of that PO on my device.
What should I do next with the Agentry? Any help is appreciated.. Thank you very much.

The process is virtually identical.  The only difference will be in your BAPI logic which you have already written.  You will connect it just like you are doing for the Add scenario.  Once you get that working this should follow a very similar pattern.

  • Duplicate check for Connection Objects in CRM

    Hi,
I want to implement a duplicate check for connection objects in CRM. The duplicate check shall use the address of the connection object and perhaps additonal attributes. I have found a duplicate check for business partners using the basis address service and TREX as index pool. However, I couldn't find a similar functionality for connection objects. Does somebody know:
    1) How to implement a duplicate check for connection objects which is based on the address of the connection object?
    2) Is there a way to use the TREX-based duplicate check which is integrated into the basis address service for connection objects?
    Thanks in advance!
    Best regards,
    Frank

I also have a requirement to check for duplicate address at connection object level and we are using SAP data servies to validate the address. Can anyone share their experience.

    Hi,
Did you talk about the Microsoft Azure Active Directory Sync tool ?
If yes, this issue occurs if one or more of the following conditions are true:
An object in the on-premises Active Directory has an SMTP address that's the same as the SMTP address of the object that's reporting the problem.
An object in the on-premises Active Directory has a mail attribute that's identical to the object that's reporting the problem.
An object already exists in your organizational account and has the same SMTP address or mail attribute as the object in the on-premises Active Directory

  • Threaded Queries from Single static Connection object - Good approach?

    Hi,
I need to generate a report where I need to query count(1) from over one hundred tables from oracle 10g database. I am not updating or deleting any record.
My approach is to use a single static connection object and create one thread for each table and capture the result back into a static hashtable.
But still, I am not getting any substantial performance improvement. Earlier, my report took 40 minutes, when it was non-threaded and now it takes 30 minutes.
Is there anything more I can do to make my report get the counts faster? Will a connection pool help?

Beneath the hood Oracle turns a count(1) into a count(*) in order to deal with this. Why? Because count(1) is turned into count(*) in order to avoid it being slower (Oracle 7 was the last time count(1) was different). And the reason generally given is because so many people were mistakenly using count(1) thinking it performed better that they decided to put in the "conversion" to fix the silly queries.
I think this it the [Ask Tom|http://asktom.oracle.com/pls/asktom/f?p=100:11:109792721681931::::P11_QUESTION_ID:1156159920245] link I used last time this came up here.

  • How many Connections objects????

    Hi
I am creating a GUI application which contains several GUI classes(e.g. frames and dialog boxes) which are instantiated depending on the choice of the user. I also have a Database class which contains the code which enables the connection to the database. The code creating the connection is within the constructor, therefore creating a connection whever I create an instance of the database class.
Most of the GUI classes need to obtain or update information held in a database.
Currently I create an instance of the Database class in every GUI class which needs to access the database. Obviously however every time a new database object is created, a new connection is also created.
I am worried about all these database objects all containing their own connections.
Should I have just one connection object in existence at any one time?
If so,can I declare the Connection variable in the Database class as static?
Any help/comments would be gratefully received.
    LGS

From what I know, there should be no problem with maintaining multiple connections to the database. This is a property of the database itself, most allow about 256 connections. The only problem you face is a lost transaction. As long as you keep the queries serialized, you shouldn't encounter any problems.
If you did want to only have one connection open... why not have another class for that (DBConn) and not instantiate a new connection in the constructor of your Database class. This way, each Database object can use the one connection by all referencing the DBConn object.
    Just a thought...
