Populate County for Supplier Address of the Connection Object

Hi
Is there any way that we can populate county (Region) field for supplier address of the connection object i.e premise address (ISU) in SAP system? This is not a mandatory field hence is not filled up by customers (Business Partners).
County here I mean is eg:
Country is UK:
County is Essex then Region code is "ES" etc..
Please provide your valuable suggestions
Note: There are billions of customers for which region needs to be populated.

I have a 3 node cluster that has replica setup to replicate to another cluster off-site.
Suddenly one of the servers is not replicating with the error:
Hyper-V could not replicate changes for virtual machine 'machinename': The connection with the server was terminated abnormally (0x00002EFE). (Virtual Machine ID CC0FD4CC-F9B7-4C68-ABE8-B7D52A87899F)
All other servers are replicating fine so there cannot be a permissions or connectivity issue between the 2 clusters.
This server has 2TB of data so I'd rather not have to start the replication again.
Does anyone have any pointers?

Based on my knowledge , "hyper-v replica broker " is needed for failover cluster replica .

An error occured while opening the connection: Object reference not set to

After I uninstalled Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio .NET 10.1.0.4 and installed Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio .NET with Oracle10g Release 2 ODAC 10.2.0.2.21 I got the error message below when I want to connect to my 10g database using Oracle Explorer.
Error:
An error occured while opening the connection: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
I use OracleConnection to open also cannot be done. But I use Oracle SQL Developer I can connect to orcl that I cannot connect using ODAC 10.2.0.2.21 in my laptop.

Where to store the Connection object?

Hi,
I am using JDBC together with JSF technology to building web applications. I have the following questions:
1. Where do we usually store the open Connection object so that every class in my web application can make use of it to update or retrieve database data?
2. Since JSF uses managed-beans which is not a servlet itself, if I store the Connection object as an attribute in the application scope then it can only be retrieved from a servlet.
3. If I make the Connection object on every class where I would like to have database access, it seems that it is not following good practice since this would create duplicate codes in every Java class which is going to have database access.
Does anybody have an idea? Thank you.

Update address details of connection object

I need a FM/BAPI to update address details of connection object.
I'm currently using ADDR_UPDATE and 'ADDR_MEMORY_SAVE' I'm able to successfully update 9 address lines.
But not the telephone and fax number.
Hence I need a FM/BAPI to specifically update telephone and fax number of connection object.
Please suggest.

Closing the Connection object

I was looking at one of the database examples in a Java book I recently purchased. In their example they establish the connection in the class with the main. ( is this referred to as the Moment Interval? ) Anyway, they pass the private Connection connection object to another class called AddRecord which implements an ActionListener. In this class, the AddRecord Constructor changes the name to con which is also declared as private in this class. What they don't show is how to close the connection object now that it has a new name. How do I close the connection object.
The example is using an Access mdb and when the appication is closed, the Access.ldb file is still there.
Is there a better solution?

I'm sorry. I meant to say "Where" do I close the connection? If I close the connection in the AddRecord Class, then I won't be able to add another record. And I can't close the connection in the moment interval because I've declared the connection object in class AddRecord as Private. Should I give the connection object package access?

When I open Gmail in Firefox, the secure (padlock) icon appears only for a few seconds; the connection then recycles and goes to the triangle alert icon.

When I open or refresh Gmail in Firefox, the secure padlock icon appears at first, but within a few seconds the connection then refreshes itself without me opening anything or moving the mouse. The secure icon is then replaced by the alert triangle, which displays a message when I hover over it saying "This website does not supply identity information." I have already changed the Images setting to Ask Before Displaying External Images, but it had no effect on this behavior. This same change happens on other secure websites, but not as consistently it does on Gmail.

If there is mixed passive content (e.g. images) then Firefox shows an exclamation mark instead of "[[Site Identity Button|Site Identity Button]]" (globe/padlock) on the location bar.
You can open the Web Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer) and search for lines with [mixed] to see if that allows to identify the mixed content.

Bypass Proxy for Local Addresses - Office 365 connection/ Outlook 2010

This is a strange one. Connectivity to Office 365 within our netwotk works fine although very slow for outlook 2010 client to initially connect. Once connected, it works ok. I have done a netwotk trace using netmon to see if i can identify
the reason for the slow startup (2 mins minumum for profile to load and for outlook to connect to exchange). The trace tell me that my local pc tries to make a direct connection to the office365 external IPs first, then tries the TMG proxy. Once it hits the
proxy, it kicks into life and works.
So it looks to me like it thinks the external IP address of office 365 is an internal address and spends it time trying all the ip addresses until it trys the proxy. At this point, the
Bypass Proxy Server for Local Addresses is ticked.
As soon as i untick this box, all traffic heads directly to the proxy and of course it connects like lighting. The exchange settings proxy is set in outlook for "on fast networks, connect using HTTP first, then connect using TCP/IP" (tick
is on) and the same for slow networks.
I cant for the life of me work out why it tries to connect directly to the external IPs first and not connect via TMG until i untick the
Bypass Proxy Server for Local Addresses
Would love any ideas that may assist.

We have been in discussions with Microsoft over the last few days on this issue - which is seen with Outlook 2007 versions onwards. Extract from resolution communication from Microsoft:
The issue you have raised is known as it has been reported and when you have a proxy set in Internet Explorer and “Bypass proxy settings for local addresses”, Outlook will attempt to connect to Office 365 directly – like the bypass rule would apply.
Because the direct connection is blocked in the Firewall, Outlook needs to have the connections going in Timeout before attempting to connect using the Proxy.
Your network trace proves the issue.
Microsoft have scheduled a fix for Outlook 2010 in February 2014 cumulative update. A fix for Outlook 2013 will also follow, but Outlook 2007 will not be addressed because it is in Extended Support.
There are two possible workarounds for this behaviour:
First, and I wouldn’t recommend it, is to allow Direct traffic through the Firewall to Office 365.
The advantage of this approach is that it will be done centralized and it will impact everyone immediately.
Information about the O365 IP addresses
There are two downsides to this behaviour:
1. First you need to maintain the Firewall exceptions as IP from O365 server can change without notice
2. Second, winhttp traffic may go through both proxy and direct and this can cause unforeseen behaviour.
The second approach is to use a proxy pac instead of manually setting in the proxy and the exceptions.
The advantage is that you will have centralized method to control how winhttp traffic goes and the issue will not be experienced anymore.
If a single pac does not be fit, you can configure proxy pac files for each site requirements and use an IIS server to store it.

Probem in creation of the connection object

This was the initial error that we used to get but then the error message was different (I am not sure about the reason for the change in error message)

Hi,
I think that this XAER_RMERR is not from Oracle driver; instead the weblogic transaction manager itself throws it. The sequence is like this:
- At some point in the transaction, a new sql is to be executed.
- The DataSource manager (of weblogic) gets the XAResource of the connection and tries to enlist that with current transaction.
- At the point, transaction manager detects that the transaction already timed out (JTA timeout) and marked for rollback.
- The transaction manager throws XAException with error code set to XAER_RMERR, which you see in the stack trace.
It does not look like a real issue except the fact that the transaction has timed out which of course can happen if the transaction is running for long time. I suspect that sometimes this problem may lead to connection leak also. And I found some known issues on this exception, to confirm that I would like to have a look in to your log file. Kindly provide me the log file, which contains this exception.

Take a look at: http://java.sun.com/products/servlet/2.2/javadoc/index.html and check for the ServletRequest Interface.
Be aware also if your web server is using proxy, proxyReverse and so because you could end getting the servers' IP and not client one.

Significnce of making the Connection object explicitly as null

Iam using java.sql.Connection object to make connection to DB400 database and in the finally block closing the connection as con.close();
90% of the time query is executing fine and getting correct results. But some times the updated values in the data base are not getting reflected in the result set. ie: ResultSet object is not refreshing properly(not always but sometimes). After making the code in the finally block as follows I feel it is working fine
if(con != null)
con.close();
con=null;
Can some one explain the significance of making an object explicitly to null.

I am facing the same issue again. The resultSet and the stament are getting closed properly but the query is not fetching the updated results. If i execute the same query using a client(WinSQL), then the updated values are reflected. Also if i change any of the where conditions in the query(adding one more 'and' condition or 'or' condition ), then the query is giving correct results. Is there any resultSet caching occurs in websphere
