Updating HRP tables

Can anybody tell me is there any standard FM to update the HR tables :
HRP1048, HRP1002,HRP1001,HRP1000 efficiently?
I have to delimit and delete the records and I dont want to do direct update on HR tables.
thanks
Tanisha

Tanisha,
1.Use the FM RH_RELATION_MAINTAIN to maintain HRP1001-Relationship.
Change the FCODE to do various options such as create,delete,display,delimit etc.,
For eg.,
*Relate account to project
IF WA_MAINTAIN-OTYPE = 'O' AND WA_MAINTAIN-SCLAS = 'O'.
WA_MAINTAIN-RSIGN = 'B'.
WA_MAINTAIN-RELAT = '002'.
*Relate position to project
ELSEIF WA_MAINTAIN-OTYPE = 'O' AND WA_MAINTAIN-SCLAS = 'S'.
WA_MAINTAIN-RSIGN = 'B'.
WA_MAINTAIN-RELAT = '003'.
*Relate job to position
ELSEIF WA_MAINTAIN-OTYPE = 'S' AND WA_MAINTAIN-SCLAS = 'C'.
WA_MAINTAIN-RSIGN = 'B'.
WA_MAINTAIN-RELAT = '007'.
*Relate employee to position
ELSEIF WA_MAINTAIN-OTYPE = 'S' AND WA_MAINTAIN-SCLAS = 'P'.
WA_MAINTAIN-RSIGN = 'A'.
WA_MAINTAIN-RELAT = '008'.
ENDIF.
WA_MAINTAIN-ENDDA = '99991231'.
*FM to create relationship
CALL FUNCTION 'RH_RELATION_MAINTAIN'
EXPORTING
ACT_FCODE           = WA_MAINTAIN-FCODE
ACT_PLVAR           = WA_MAINTAIN-PLVAR
ACT_OTYPE           = WA_MAINTAIN-OTYPE
ACT_OBJID           = WA_MAINTAIN-OBJID
ACT_ISTAT           = WA_MAINTAIN-ISTAT
ACT_RSIGN           = WA_MAINTAIN-RSIGN
ACT_RELAT           = WA_MAINTAIN-RELAT
ACT_SCLAS           = WA_MAINTAIN-SCLAS
ACT_SOBID           = WA_MAINTAIN-SOBID
ACT_BEGDA           = WA_MAINTAIN-BEGDA
ACT_ENDDA           = WA_MAINTAIN-ENDDA
ACT_PROZT           = WA_MAINTAIN-PROZT
EXCEPTIONS
MAINTAINANCE_FAILED = 1
OTHERS              = 2.
IF SY-SUBRC <> 0.
WRITE : WA_INPUT-OBJID.
MESSAGE ID SY-MSGID TYPE SY-MSGTY NUMBER SY-MSGNO
WITH SY-MSGV1 SY-MSGV2 SY-MSGV3 SY-MSGV4.
ENDIF.
2.Use the FM RH_OBJECT_CREATE for maintaing hrp1000-Object ID creation.
Use the FM RH_DELETE_OBJECT for deletion of object ID.
For eg.,
CALL FUNCTION 'RH_OBJECT_CREATE'
EXPORTING
LANGU                     = SY-LANGU
PLVAR                     = '01'
OTYPE                     = 'O'
SHORT                     = V_NEWPROJECT
STEXT                     = V_PROJECTDESC
BEGDA                     = V_DATE
ENDDA                     = '99991231'
IMPORTING
OBJID                     = W_OBJID
EXCEPTIONS
TEXT_REQUIRED             = 1
INVALID_OTYPE             = 2
INVALID_DATE              = 3
ERROR_DURING_INSERT       = 4
ERROR_EXT_NUMBER          = 5
UNDEFINED                 = 6
OTHERS                    = 7.
IF SY-SUBRC <> 0.
MESSAGE ID SY-MSGID TYPE SY-MSGTY NUMBER SY-MSGNO
WITH SY-MSGV1 SY-MSGV2 SY-MSGV3 SY-MSGV4.
ENDIF.

• Updating HRP table through abap codes - is it correct

Hi all,
In my hrp1001 table,I want that All Qualifications (Q) and Tasks (T) assigned to all the functional roles (ZF) existing in the system should be transferred to the positions(S) tagged to those respective functional roles.
For that I am supposed to write a code which copies the entries from Qualifications (Q) and Tasks (T) and tag the same to the positions (S).
Below is the sample code which is adding just one record to HRP1001 through abap statment. What I am curious to know is wheather it is logically correct to update HRP table through abap statments or no. If not, Please let me know what should we do as a solution - should we update all records through LSMW of PP01 or any thing else we can do???

Hi Ribhu..
there are various FMs available for this purpose..
use those... becasue if u directly insert, update or modify record in HRP1000 or HRP1001...
then some related table might not be updated..
So use FMs..

• How to create a Maintenance view in order to update 4 tables

Hello,
I want to update 4 tables having the same key. MANDANT + SIRET (fiscal french ID).
I try to create a maintenace view, i need to update the 4 tables using a single screen.
When i use the relationship the system display a message "Relationships with unsuitable cardinality"
The first table contain only the ID, the 3 others contains some informations (adress, name, and others)
Thanks for your help
Christophe

Hello,
you could check, if your other three tables have a correct foreign key definition on the field SIRET.
Tranaction SE11 -> pstion on the field and press the foreign key button.
Check Table has to be your first table; cardinality has to be 1 :1 or 1 to N.

• Error in updating condition table 372

Hello,
While saving Excise Invoice I am facing error 'Error in updating condition table 372'.Could you please solve this probelm?
Thanks in Advance

Dear All,
I done this--by doing some configuration changes.
Normally while doing Exports we are tempted to use the same sales area and accordingly we may give the combination of excise grp+series grp+export type in IMG>>>Logistics General>>>India>>>Business transactions>>>Outgoing excise invoices>>>Maintain default excise groups and series groups.
Once after removing the export type to your sales area combination--system will show this error--and we cannot even post the Excise invoices.(J1IIN)
I tried in my IDES--that with export type(Ex.Export under Bond)--with this assignment--i am able to post my excise invoices.
Once after removing this assignment of export type--again i am getting this error.
Actually i am not even aware why it is happening--almost after two months of struggle--i find this.
(i feel it is in the same way that we cannot even open/See a sales order by deleting sales group which was created&used previously)
i am sharing this because somebody may get a little help with my thread.
Mark this if helpful--there by others can easily find this thread.

• ADF master-detail master selection not updating detail tables properly

Hi All,
I am using JDev version : 11.1.2.0.0
I created new Fusion Web Application Module. In that module I created a master-detail data model and added them to a page fragment with a query panel. When I run it as a separate module, It works perfectly and Master selection correctly updates detail tables.
But when I integrate that module to another Fusion Application(Add application jar file to the Master Application libraries), Master-details master selection not updating detail tables properly. This problem occurred sequentially.
The problem is that.
After the page load, first selection of the Master Table works correctly and detail tables update correctly.
But second selection doesn't work, means detail table doesn't get update according to the Master table.
And again in the third selection works correctly.
This happens in a sequential manner. I monitor the behavior using Firebug. Observations are as follows,
When running correctly, Response of the Post Definition is
<partial-response><changes><update id="pt1:t1">

<div style="position:relative; I could not figure out what went wrong when integrating to another module.
Can you please help me to rectify this problem.
Thanks

Hi,
sound to be an implementation specific issue that is hard to comment on without knowing how to reproduce it. If you have a rerooducible test case based on the Oracle HR schema using JDeveloper 11.1.1.6, zip it up, rename the "zip "extension to "unzip" and sent it to the mail address you find in my OTN profile. If you don't have that test case, explain how this can be reproduced

• How to update the table available in BADI method

Hi Friends,
I have to implement one badi ME_REQ_POSTED for purchase requistion, in this badi I have to read first line item and do
some check...if that check is true i need to update subsequent line item (line 20, 30, 40 or so) with purchase group and MRP controller.
In this BADI i have method POSTED, in this method parameter IM_EBAN is a table which i need to modify with my different
values for purchase group and MRP controller.
Kindly let me know how to update this table, so the changes can be reflected in purchase requistion.
Since when I tried to directly modify the table in a loop, system throw one error stating IM_EBAN can not be modified.
kindly help.

hi
I have implemented this exit but it does not stop at it while saving Purchase requistion. But my previous BADI stops at it when saving.
Kindly guide.

• How to update the table value in the valuechange event?

I have an input field in the datatable with the valueChangeListener
<rich:dataTable id="cart" value="#{cart.cartList}" var="item">
<h:inputText value="#{item.cost}" id="qty" valueChangeListener="#{items.updateCost}" onchange="submit()">
<h:outputText value="#{item.errorMsg}"> </h:outputText>
in the backing bean
Item item = (Item) model.getRowData();
// do some update, if the cost too larger, change to max_cost
item.setCost(max_cost);
item.setErrorMsg("Error Msg");
After calling the valuechange method, the screen output doesn't update the cost.
How to update the table value in the valuechange event?

As you're misusing the valueChangeListener to set another input field, you need to skip the update model values phase. Otherwise the value set in the valueChangeListener will be overridden by the submitted value. You can do this by calling the FacesContext#renderResponse() inside the valueChangeListener method. This will shift the current phase immediately to the render response phase, hereby skipping the update model values and invoke application phases.

• Field KZWI4 is not getting updated in table EKPO

I have a case where for two scheduling agreements the pricing procedure getting determined is the same, but the field KZWI4 (subtotal 4) in table EKPO is getting updated for one SA and not for the other. The only difference in the two SAs are the tax codes. Do tax codes have any bearing on the field KZWI4 getting updated in table EKPO?
Regards,
Pratima.

Hi Pratima,
unfortunately i can only write that I am facing the same challenge at the moment. I will update the discussion as soon as I have a solution.
Best regards

• Listening to change in a row of a table a and update a table in a diferent Database

i want to update a table using values from a different database table. how to i do it in SQl 2012
With Service Broker?
Without Service Broker, you would do:
UPDATE targettbl
SET    col1 = b.col1,
col2 = b.col2,
FROM   targettbl a
JOIN   srctbl b ON a.keycol1 = b.keycol1
AND a.keycol2 = b.keycol2
It is important that a row in targettbl maps to at most at one row in srctbl, or else the result will not be predictable.

• Updating a table using cursor is taking long time in oracle

Hi,
I am working on the oracle database 11gR2. I am trying update a table column which is newly added through cursor. below is the cursor.
BEGIN
FOR lcur_tab IN (select l.LOGIN_ID as login_id, lt.ERROR_CODE as error_code from LOGIN l INNER JOIN LOGIN_TASK lt ON (l.LAST_LOGIN_TASK_ID = lt.LOGIN_TASK_ID) )
LOOP
UPDATE ACCOUNT SET LOGIN_ERROR_CODE = lcur_tab.error_code where ACCOUNT_ID IN (SELECT ACCOUNT_ID FROM LOGIN_ACCOUNT where LOGIN_ID = lcur_tab.login_id ) ;
end LOOP;
commit;
END;
In the cursor we are trying to copy the Login table error_code value to LOGIN_ERROR_CODE of ACCOUNT Table, for the accounts associated with that Login. Here newly added column is LOGIN_ERROR_CODE in account table. this account table have 11million rows in it. when i used the above cursor it took 3hours and still running. So we stopped after that. Is there any way i can change this cursor syntax to update those column values. How can we do this type of updates?
Also i am planning to run thus update in the background . I don't have much knowledge on the PL/SQL stuff. So please help on this.
Thanks in advance.

Is there a reason that you don't want to do this with a single `UPDATE` statement? That should be quite a bit more efficient.
Something like
UPDATE account a
SET login_error_code = (
select lt.error_code
from login_task lt
join login l on (l.last_login_task_id = lt.login_task_id)
join login_account la on (la.login_id = l.login_id)
where la.account_id = a.account_id )
WHERE EXISTS (
select 1
from login_task lt
join login l on (l.last_login_task_id = lt.login_task_id)
join login_account la on (la.login_id = l.login_id)
where la.account_id = a.account_id );Justin
