Updating infotype through BADI
I need to update an 'Z'/ custom infotype without using BDC through BADI . How to do this ?

I have no solution for your actual problem (wrong forum, you should try the MM forum) but I wonder why you just don't use the data that is already there in EKKO and EKPO?

Problem in updating Data for infotype P0009 through BADI

we are facing a problem while trying to update value of Date field for infotype P0009 through PA30.
we have tried to update by using BADI hrpad00infty, we are providing value in new_innnn structure of method
AFTER_INPUT, but the value is not getting updated for that PARNR.

HRPAD00INFTY BADI methods don't allow to modify any values of the current record being processed, but there's a possible wworkaround accessing memory fields using field-symbols:
method IF_EX_HRPAD00INFTY~AFTER_INPUT.
FIELD-SYMBOLS: <fs> type p0009.
assign ('(MP000900)P0009') TO <FS>.
if sy-subrc eq 0.

Reg : BDC issue while updating infotype 40 inside BADI class method
Hi Friends,
Actually in my badi class, there is a method where i need to save the infotype fields including comment fields.. So with BDC recording i recorded screen fields and passing the pernr internal table values to recorded pernr values.. by doing this im getting error and so BDC is not upadting the data.. moreover if i pass directly pernr number within single quotes, BDC is working fine and data is getting updated..

1. Tell me whether the issue is with BADI or wat ? means we cant able to use BDC inside badi ?

I am trying to update custom infotypes through BDC based on status change of employee in infotype 0000 , while the BDC is executing I am getting an error message 'Person is already being processed by - ' What is this error and how to rectify it ?Hi!
You can't call a transaction (with BDC) from inside a transaction (in a user-exit).
The call transaction contains a commit work - and this would corrupt the transaction logic of the first transaction. Even if you call something which is not currently locked by the first transaction, you should not do this.
Either make your updates after saving the first transaction or try to change values inside the first transaction in global data (internal tables / structures which will be saved by standard later).

sudeer.The best way is to use HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION function module in your program.

While i am updating infotype 2001 , using HR_INFOTYPE_operation FM it giving a error , because it calling a wrong sceen 2000 , instead of 2001 . can anybody can help on this ?

Update infotype 0032 in user exit ZXPADU02
Hi All,
I have the following requirement.
Telephone extension number is stored in IT0105 and IT0032. When the extension number is updated through ESS, this is stored in IT0105 but it does not update IT0032 which is displayed in MSS.
I need to update infotype 0032 based on the data in 0105.
I thought I could update infotype 0032 in userexit ZXPADU02 whenever infotype 0105 was saved using the function module HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION but it is not working for me.
Any help would be appreciated.
ElaineYou have to make the function call a separate unit of work.One other option is to put the function call in a report & SUBMIT it from the User exit.

Creating new record in infotype during BADI
Hi all,
We want to use the BADI HRPAD00INFTY "Update / Infotype maintenance" for trigering an automatic creation of some infotype records using FM HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION.
The creation should only happen when a new record of infotype 2001 subtype GT01 is created.
Every time when we try something we get an error on the first insert we do using the FM.
The Enqueue goes fine (returns subrc = 0) but when doing the insert with the FM we get the error "EPG 428A complex application error has occurred" in the return.
We checked the data that we're passing thru the FM and there everything is fine.
Is it possible that due to the lock of the original save is generating we can't insert anything else and how can we work around this problem?
We also have this problem when using the user exit and we tried to do a submit to another report but there we can't even make the lock.

How to update infotype 0712 in the background
I amd working on a web dynpro applicaiton for PA action request and process action in the background. We have manu concurrent employees. When the main assignemnt is terminated, I need to switch the main pernr to another pernr. I sue HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION to update other infotypes with no problem, but it does not work with info type 0712. I step through in debugger, see HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION run though without erro, but IT0712 does not show the update.
What other tool can I used to update infotype 0712 and 0171?

Have you tested the IT0712 by manually updating?
if so try with bdc recording and run in foreground mode.
if the same hits in IT0712 or 0171.
use the same with no screen mode.
don't use the HR_infotype_operation FM
it will help you.

Remote location, 7kbs d'load speed, 10 days to d'load Lion, only software updates are through the App Store. Why can't we d'load and install outside the Cloud anymore? Some of us can't use the cloud and never will be able to.
That is true - I apologize for not being specific - what I was mainly referring to is iLife applications. I have a notice on the App Store that says 3 apps need updates, I look at the apps and they are huge so since my connection is so slow I use my work connection and d'load the files from support to my Windows machine and carry them home, once d'loaded my MacAir states it cannot install, the update must come from the App Store.
I do the same thing for large Leopard and Lion files and I can install them without error, it is just the App Store files that the system stops. -
