Updating of TestStand data from CVI Callback

How do I update the variables in TestStand from a callback function in LabWindows. In the attached file the use must press the pass or fail button. This action is received in the callback function in CVI where I call the TS_PropertySetValBoolean method in TestStand. The variables are updated and the notification is processed but only when the close button is pressed. If the update conditions are removed the Notification event is sent correctly (when either pass/fail is pressed).

Hi Steven,
Not sure I understand your problem.
When you press the Pass button the Pass/Fail step passes and when you press the Fail button the Pass/Fail step fails. (therefore your FileGlobals is being updated correctly).
Don't know why you have the Set Notification after the Pass/Fail step as you have nothing running waiting on this action.
The MainSequence is then left waiting to complete and this does happen until you close the new thread by closing your GUI.

I have created a copy of the AdventureWorks2012 DB called AdventureWorks2012_new on the same instance.
I have created the following trigger below but my friend who is a DBA told me that this is not correct and I should be using the inserted table when creating this trigger. I would like AdventureWorks2012_new DB to be updating/inserting/deleting data from
the same tables that have been updated/inserted/deleted in the AdventureWorks2012 DB. How exactly should I do this for all the tables in the whole database ? What I have written below is just for one of the tables, is there a quicker way to do it for all tables
in this DB so that it performs the actions mentioned above, automatically ? Help would be greatly appreciated so I can understand how this works, thanks

I didn't verify column names, so you may need to make sure to use correct column names for that table.

Update internal table data from table control

Hi GURUS,
I need help regarding one of my requirement.
I need to display data from the internal table on the screen and when the user selects a record/multiple records from screen and clicks on approve button i need to update one of the field from N to Y in the corresponding Ztable. Once the record is updated from Ztable , that should no longer be visible for the user on the screen.
I am using table control wizard to display data. I am able to update the Ztable, but that record is not refreshing from the user screen. Any suggestions would be approved.
Also please let me know if table control is the best way to do this/ alv grid control??

Hi,
As of now in Xcelsius/Dashboard Design there is no feature or functionality to insert/update/delete data from database.
Solution:
Create a Web service in let’s say C# or Java, which will perform insert/update/delete operation.
In Xcelsius add Web Service connection and user above web service.
Xcelsius Web Service connection provides option to pass input values to a Web Service (Input Pane) and get the result (Output values pane).
We can pass values to be written to the database as a input to Web Service via Web Service connection from Xcelsius and write data to the database.
Note:
Performing delete operation from Xcelsius Dashboard could be risky and may delete important data from database. I would not prefer giving delete option/functionality in Xcelsius dashboard.

Updating Batch classification data from MIGO for Purchase order

Hi,
I need to update batch classification data (in MSC3n) from MIGO for purchase order. The logic needed for this is as below,
1) Pass material and batch to MCH1 table to get CUOBJ_BM.
2) Pass CUOBJ_BM to INOB table to get INOB-OBJEK.
3) Pass INOB-OBJEK to CLAF_CLASSIFICATION_OF_OBJECTS to get class name & characteristic name.
4) Pass INOB-OBJEK, CLASS name and characteristic name to BAPI_OBJCL_CHANGE to update batch classification data.
I created implicit enhancement at the bottom of FM "CLVF_VB_INSERT_CLASSIFICATION". But the problem is, the return parameter of BAPI_OBJCL_CHANGE is giving the following error.
Class type 023, object type MCH1, object RAW-6 0000001151
Object is currently locked by user
The assignment was not changed
Please let me know how to do it. Is there any BADI or User Exit?

As you said the break point is not triggering did you activate your exit and activated even the project to which your exit is assigned.
I hope you missed activating your project in CMOD transaction. Please verify it once and if it is not activated then immediately activate it and try debugging again.

Problem updating infoobject master data from a dso.

Hi all,
i'm updating the master data of an infoobject from another ods, the two table have the same key.
When i update the infoobject with full repair i get errors about duplicate records and the data load stops, when i delete the request and launch the infopackage again all goes well but it seems it doesn't insert any new record in the master data, what could be the problem?

Hi Sadeesh,
i checked the master data table and it seems it has been updated, i check some order number with recordmode N added today in the dso and the entries were in the infoobject, though i don't know why in the request tab it shows 0 added records.
To be completely sure tomorrow i will check again the number of entries in the 'p' table of the infoobject.
Anyway this is the exact error message i get:
7 duplicate record found. 6478 recordings usedin table /BIC/XZDOCDSO
7 duplicate record found. 6478 recordings usedin table /BIC/PZDOCDSO
After that i run the change run for the IO and when i launch again tha data load it goes well.

Is there any API for pushing update patch related data from qualysguard in SCCM database?

The problem is that, my company want to integrate SCCM with qualysguard. The qualys will scan for missing patches and will generate a patch report. From this patch report
required data will be extracted and pushed into the SCCM database.I have sorted out the issue of extracting data from qualys, but I am stuck up at the point of pushing patch data in update repository. I tried searching for some API which could push data in
database of SCCM, but unable to find. I thought of making my own script to run the sql query but this will ultimately screw the database of SCCM since there may be 60-70 table dependency.
Please suggest any SCCM API which can help me to push data in its database(particularly in the tables interacting with the update repository).

Basically you will need a middle-man between Qualys and ConfigMgr to house the data. This may be a new database, or a whole seperate platform. I expect this could easily be done with SQL and SSRS.
Also note, database edits to the ConfigMgr database are
not supported by Microsoft, I would recommend using a central system to pull data from Qualys and ConfigMgr without modifying either.

IF you are using sap sytem as a sender then its better to use idoc's. Actually both systems (idoc and webservice) have there own advantages and disadvantages. Look up sdn for more info.
My personal choice would be idoc since with webservices you would need special tools like xml spy or altova and the skill to analyze and run those tools.,, its a little tedious..

I am trying to retrieve the step name for the current step I am executing from CVI. I have tried using TS_PropertyGetValString (stepobj, NULL, "Step.Name",0, &tempstr) with no luck.

The problem I tried to solve was that I want the result from my service methods
in XML format. I thought a callback/polling was the best alternative, am I right?
Since the callback option doesn´t work I will try to poll the service.

Are these tables external to SAP Business One and do not have a Business Object? If there is a Business Object available such as if you were to enter an order, that order would use the Documents object which abstracts you, the programmer, from the underlying tables that need to be updated. If you are handling multiple business objects you would need to wrap the transaction with the StartTransaction - EndTransaction methods. This information is detailed in the SAP Business One SDK Help Center that comes with the SDK.

Hi Experts,
i did some customization in Action class.
Now from this Action class i want toupdate xellerate from data
Using digital signature i got the status of one of the attribute of xellerate from
ie
userIntf = (tcUserOperationsIntf)utilityFactory.getUtility("Thor.API.Operations.tcUserOperationsIntf");
tcResultSet tRs = userIntf.findAllUsers(userMap);
if(tRs.getRowCount() > 0)
userLoginStatus= tRs.getBooleanValue("USR_UDF_IS_FIRST_LOGON");
now i want update this attribute, ie ifuserLoginStatus is true, i want to update as false

Update the pricing data from sales order

Hello Friends,
we use vk11 to create a combination for a particular condition type pricing so the same will be reflected when we create a sales order.
my requirement.
If the user makes any changes in the price for a paticular condition in the sales order thn the same should get updated in the masters so tht next time if i create sales order for the same combination it should reflect the updated price.
in simple terms i want to update master data for a particular condition if the user makes changes in sales order pricing.

It is not possible to update condition record when you change the price in the sales order.
