Updating to IOS5...Error while

If this has already been brought up, then just point me in the right direction...
I plugged my iPhone 4 into my computer tonight and iTunes prompted me to update the software.  After the software was downloaded it then proceeded to restore my phone, however after an hour of attempting to restore I got an error saying iTunes was unable to restore my phone.  Now, my phone is stuck on a black screen with the apple symbol and what appears to be a progress bar.  But nothing has haapned in over an hour.  I can't turn it off and it isn't registering in my iTunes that it's even plugged in.
Anyone help me?

Download IO5 to ur computer ,( without itune ) .
then start itune , plug ur iphone to computer , then HOLD the power and home button for 15 sec , itune will find ur device then make restore ( shift + left mouse click ) , and choose ios5 which downloaded .
that's it ,

    Im having the same problem and practicly the exact same story hahaha, my old iphone broke so my uncle gave me his old 3gs but everytime i try to update or restore it it says that it was corrupted during download.

  • OS X update, now getting error while rendering

    I was working on a major project last week, everything was swell. No problems.  This morning I needed to make a couple of minor changes to a lower third graphic over video and I could not render.
    I get a box with this message: "Video Preview Error  Error compiling movie.  Unknown error"
    I have to think something in the upgrade to OS X (10.9.2) has made my Premiere Pro CC unhappy.  I am running the latest update of PP and had no issues at all before this morning.

    if that fails to solve the problem, restart in safe mode and test.  if ae works, you have a conflicting non-essential program.  you can use your activity monitor to find it.
    if restarting in safe mode fails, uninstall, clean (Do a clean install) and reinstall ae.

    There is an issue like after order is created,while creating invoice(third party order) after saving there is message as its saved.
    But when trying to go with either vf02 or vf03 there is an update termination as 'Error while determ. loc. crcy: exchange rate type M date 01/26/2011 from SGD to'...so any suggestions on this?

                 Go to T.code OB08 there position the exange rate Ex: M in you case and valid from 01.01.2011 then give currency if it is INR give 1INR X 1 INR = 1 give according to you document currecy.

    Everytime I try to update to iOS5 on my iPhone 4 I get an error containing 0xE while it is backing up data from the iPhone before installing the new operating system.  I have done everything suggested in Apple support with no success.  I still get the error everytime (about 5 minutes into backing up iPhone data).  How can I upgrade to iOS5 without losing all the data on my iPhone (the error message says that if I continue I will lose all data on the phone)?  If I have already synced the phone before upgrading the OS, would I be able to restore my data after installing the new OS by syncing after the OS upgrade is complete?  Any help would be greatly appreciated. 

    I had the same problem today and was able to resolve it without having to do a restore or reset. The problem had something to do with my mail accounts. The upgrade reset my mail settings, switching both my gmail and my .mac mail to "archive all mail". I went into the General Settings, disabled that setting, and resynced the phone. The "other" storage allottment dropped back down to less than a gig.
    Before you restore or reset, I would try that first.

    (I have tried rebooting, using different USB ports, changing the sequence of starting iTunes and plugging in the iPhone, fresh install of iTunes 10.5).
    If I click Continue, will iOS5 install and will I be able to restore my contents from a prior backup (manual backup before updating)?
    I can't find any discussion threads with the same error code.

    I lost nothing after the upgrade and "restore from previous backup." The only app that was not functioning after the upgrade was Copilot Europe, but the solution was to delete the app from the iPhone and reinstall it (did not have to pay for it again).
    The problem after the upgrade was the fast battery drain and heat that others have been reporting with 4S, but that seems to be an iOS5 issue with some of the settings in Notifications and Location Services. I think I have pretty much solved that one by adjusting some of those. Also, there is already an update to iOS5 in the works.
    I hope you succeed with the upgrade!

  • Trying to update to iOS5 I get An unknown error (1).

    Hi There!
    I'm trying to update my second iPhone to iOS5 and while the first one gave me no trouble what so ever, the second one is always giving me an unknown error (1).
    I've updated everything, only one USB is used, downloaded from all different sources the restore software and I always get the same error around 75% of the process. I also tried older 4.3.1 and 4.3.5 and tells me it's not elegible..
    I've run the process more than 20 times over the last two days, tried different internet conections and nothing...
    Any help on this would me much appretiated.
