Upgrade auf CS2

Ich habe eine Bundle-Version von PS6.0 und möchte diese auf CS2 upgraden. Ist das möglich?

W.G.A. hat zwar recht, bei einer 6.0 Bundle-Version hat man aber "gute" Chancen, dass man eine Fälschung erwischt hat. Ich hatte das zweifelhate Vergnügen - also vor dem Kauf des Updates ggf die Seriennummer checken lassen.

I upgraded my CS2 to CS4 Extended early this year, my hard drive just bit the dust and I have to re-install the CS4, will I have to call customer service again to get my copy of CS4 Extended activated, again?

Like you, I've completely recovered from a hard drive failure - one of two in a RAID 0 arrangement in my case. Windows Backup restored it completely, likewise without re-registration, etc. A key difference is Windows Backup runs for me late at night, in a set-it-and-forget-it fashion (my computers stay on 24/7). I don't have to boot up a separate system to run it.
But I don't doubt Image is a good product.
It's good to have good alternatives to choose from.

Ihr kostenloses Upgrade auf die Creative Suite 6 - geht aber nicht

Hallo zusammen,
meine Name ist Anna und mein Patenonkel hat im Mai 2012 die CreativeSuite 5.5 gekauft da es zu dem Zeitpunkt die Version 6.0 offiziell zum kaufen gab. Stand beim Kauf der 5.5 Version das dort ein kostenloses Upgrade auf 6.0 erhalten ist.
Jetzt musste ich meine Software alle neu installieren gehe unter Abobe auf meine Konto und dort sind nur die download Dateien von 5.5 und die Seriennummer der Version. Von 6.0 steht da gar nichts mehr.
Habe dann verzweifelt per Chat mit einem Mitarbeiter geschrieben aber der Verstand mein Problem nicht.
Unten meinem Konto werden ja auch vorhande Frage mit Datum usw. gespeichert wo auch ein Mitarbeiter mir das Upgrade auf 6.0 bestätigte.
Dann kam auch eine Mail:

Aber dieses geht leider auch nicht, nun bin ich enttäuscht und fühle mich allein gelassen da der Support sehr schlecht ist.

Du hast einfach mal den Zug verpaßt. Special Promotions/ Grace Period Upgrades sind imemr and bestimmte Fristen gebunden. Das hättest du schon damals alles bis spätestens Ende August klarmachen müssen. Jetzt kann da keiner mehr was für dich tun.

Upgrade from CS2 to CS3? (for Windows XP)

Hi, guys. I'm new here. And I only signed up for the forums so I could ask someone for help!! Haha! So, here goes......
I recently started using Adobe CS2.
I signed up for the 30 day trial of RadLab by Totally Rad. It worked fine, but my trial expired before I could finish the photos I had been editing. So I uninstalled the RadLab trial, signed up for a new trial with a different e-mail address, and re-installed it. Only, this time, RadLab wouldn't work. So I contacted Totally Rad and the guy told me that RadLab won't work on CS2. It has to be CS3 or higher. (I'm still confused as to how RadLab worked for 30 days on my CS2 if it supposedly only works on CS3 or higher)...
So, now, I am looking to upgrade from CS2 to CS3... but I don't know where to look. I tried Google, but nothing seems to match what I'm looking for. I would hate to upgrade all the way up to CS5, because I don't think my PC could handle it. (I've been told that CS5 takes up a lot of room, and I don't think my computer is strong enough to hold it all. My memory capabilities are very limited. Even with CS2, I couldn't open/edit much all at once.)
I say all that, to ask this...
How do I go about upgrading from CS2 to CS3, and it not cost me an arm and a leg? I'm on a super-tight budget ($150 is the absolute highest I'm willing to go). I'm unemployed and money is extremely tight.

I don't want to burst your bubble about using Photoshop CS3, but I would expect any software with good trialware security to not work twice on the same system no matter whether you sign up with a different eMail address. They'd be stupid not to have it work that way.
If you need the software to get your project done, why not actually buy it?
You're no doubt expecting to derive value from your project... Shouldn't the people who worked to create the software you're using derive some value from their work as well?
I can appreciate your being on a budget, but the old saying "if you want to play you have to pay" comes to mind. I'm sorry to be blunt.

Mac: Upgrading PS CS2 to PS CS3; LR sees CS3 - what I did.

After reading several threads asking about upgrading from CS2 to CS3 and how that impacts LR, I decided to bite the bullet and did things the way I wanted. Here are my results for a MacBookPro 2 GB ram, core duo:
* I first deactived CS2, since I didn't want to keep it. Might use it on another mac.
* I then used App Zapper to uninstall CS2. This deletes the app's folder along with folders in the library or other files related to CS2.
* Installed PSCS3 extended and activated.
Finally invoked LR and chose an image. When I clicked on the Photo menu item, a submenu item was "edit in Adobe Photoshop CS3" (no reference to CS2). I tested it and sure enough, it all worked.

Also realize that although a few Adobe employees may be kind enough to visit the forums on their own time, this is a user to user forum and not a direct route to Adobe support. So, no one here has control over the KB.

If upgrade from CS2 to CS 3 can I still use GoLive ?

If I upgrade from CS2 to CS3 with Dreamweaver, can I still use/run GoLive to maintain existing GoLive files for a time, until I make the transition ?, or once I install CS3 I need to transition right quick ?

Upgrade CS CS2 CS5 Ok?

Im installing a new system with Snow Leopard.
Im have a couple of older CS upgrades that I would like to upgrade to CS5.
From that I have read in this forum, installing CS2 may not work on Snow Leopard.
The advice I read was to type the CS2 serial number during installation of CS5.
I have the following products:
Adobe Design Collection (Photoshop 7, Acrobat 5, Illustrator 10 etc..)
Adobe Creative Suite Premium Upgrade
Adobe Creative Suite 2 Premium Upgrade
Will the CS5 Upgrade (from CS2/CS3) work in practise with these upgrades? Should I type all the serial numbers in a particular order? Or is it enough to type the serial number for the CS2 upgrade?
Another question; The previous upgrades were Swedish language. I would like to install the English version of CS5. Is that possible or do I have to install the Swedish CS5 upgrade?
Very grateful if someone can provide answers for these questions!

Upgrading from CS2 Suite (Win) to CS5 Suite (Mac)

Over the last few days I have twice called Adobe UK sales and have been assured that I can easily upgrade my Windows CS2 suite to a Mac CS5 suite.
I was told that all I have to do is enter the CS2 Windows serial number during the CS5 Mac installation and it will be accepted.
However I have found no mention of this anywhere on the internet.
Has anyone been given the same or conflicting advise by Adobe for this type of scenario?

Adobe are even contracdicting themselves re CS5 upgrades.
I was told by the UK sales team that I wouldn't need to submit a letter of software destruction upgrading from CS2 Windows to CS5 Mac.
However, the Adobe on-line representative said I would.
I can understand this requiurement for a straight platform swap of the same version.
However, if I am upgrading, I surely need a valid suite to upgrade from?
If I destroy my CS2 I will no longer have a valid suite any longer!
I have also found out that PhotoShop Mac CS5 will apparently no longer have the ability to print printer profiling targets with colour management disabled. Supposedly Adobe labs are developing a separate utility for printing profiling targets but with no ETA. This means that I will have to continue to use an earlier version of PhotoShop anyway!
With these uncertainties, contradictions and complications I have now cancelled my order.

Upgrading photoshop CS2 to CS6?

Sorry, it's not possible to upgrade from CS2 to CS6. CS2 is too old.
Unfortunately you must pay full price.
Only CS5/CS5.5 qualifies to upgrade to CS6.
A temporary dispensation is permitted by Adobe for CS3 and CS4 users to upgrade to CS6 until Dec 31, 2012. After that date, they also pay full price.

Adobe has changed the upgrade rules with CS6 - to a "one-version-back" policy - so that only those users with the most current version can upgrade. Everyone else pays full price. i.e. no more version skipping.

Upgrade IDCS2 to CS4 w/o upgrading entire CS2 suite?

I want to upgrade ID CS2 to ID CS4 without upgrading the entire Design Standard suite.
Reason = it is cheaper.
Will the other CS2 suite components 'get along' with the one IDCS4 component?
Version Cue is not a factor - we don't use it, it is not installed.
All other system requirements are kosher.

It is not cheaper. You cannot upgrade only one component of the suite.
To upgrade only InDesign you would need to purchase a new license. This
costs more that the upgrade for the suite.
However, to answer the rest of your query: InDesign is probably the
best program top upgrade if you only upgrade one. That*s because an
InDesign file is almost always the end product, except for the PDF you
send to the printer and the final printed piece. One generally imports
Illustrator and Photoshop files into InDesign. InDesign CS4 will import
Illustrator and Photoshop CS2 files just fine.

Upgrade from CS2 Education to CS5 Full Commercial?

I'm new to this forum. I have a question regarding upgrading to CS5. I don't think there's been another question on this specific question I have. If there is, sorry for posting it again.
Basically, I have a copy of the CS2 Design Premium Education version. Now I would like to upgrade it to the CS5 Design Premium Commercial version. I didn't need to work from home previously, so never really needed the commercial licence for my laptop. But now it's time to get one so I can work anywhere.
I know there is an upgrade from CS2 to CS5 version that I can purchase but it doesn't tell me if it can be used on the Education version too.
Can anyone confirm that the upgrade does work on an Education version too?

You brought up a few issues here.
(1) If you bought an upgrade that you cannot use, please call Adobe Customer Support (via phone) and see what can be done to let you return the software. There should not be any problem if this is within 30 days of purchase, but even if not, they should be supportive. If the first agent you speak to can't assist, ask for their supervisor.
(2) The copy of CS3 that was installed on your Mac by your employer is likely a volume license which cannot be upgraded via a standard upgrade license. Note that if your employer installed the software using their volume serial number, that software license belongs to your employer and not you personally. It that employer is in fact your ex-employer, you no longer have legal rights to use that software which was licensed to your ex-employer. (Note that purchasers of volume licenses cannot unbundle a volume license by either giving away copies such as to former employees or sell such copies!)

Can I remove Photoshop CS2 after I have upgraded from CS2 to CS5? I upgraded from CS2 to CS5 quite a while ago and I have never removed CS2. Will it affect CS5 to remove the old CS2 if it was an upgrade?

If I were you I would just delete the installed Adobe CS2 folder. Adobe CS2 uninstaller my remove settind CS5 made to your system after CS2. The CS2 uninstaller may try to restore settings to a point in time where there was no Photoshop installed on your system. If you do a CS un-install you may need to then Install CS5 on top of itself the update cs5 for the install will not have the updates you will be back at CS5 level .

Mobiles datennetzwerk geht nach Upgrade auf IOS 5 nicht mehr

nach dem Upgrade auf iOS 5 geht plötzlich meine mobiles Datennetzwerk nicht mehr. Habe eine aon Sim Karte (mit der es bis dato keinerlei Problem gab) und sehe auch, dass ich 3G zur Verfügung habe. Auch die APN Einstellung sind die gleichen wie vorher...
Hat jemand eine Idee dazu?

hatte bis eben genau das gleiche Problem. Hoffe es bleibt beim "hatte".
Nach dem IOS 6.1 Update wurde es täglich schlimmer mit der WLAN-Verbindung. Zuerst ging es noch, dann kamen Verbindungsunterbrechungen und die wurden permanent häufiger. Zeitweise musste ich erst das mobile Netz dazu schalten, dann ging WLAN für kurze Zeit wieder bis es wieder zusammenbrach. Bin fast verzweifelt. Und seit heute ging absolut nichts mehr. Hab dann ewig gesucht und war schon enttäuscht, dass ich hier auf deine Frage niemand meldete.
Meines Erachtens könnte es damit zusammenhängen, dass das Gerät ja die Daten zu den ihm bekannten Netzwerken sozusagen für uns Nutzer nicht mehr sichtbar verschluckt und man da auch nichts mehr überprüfen kann, ob sich was verstellt hat, was ich auch als absoluten Mangel beurteile, denn es sammeln sich so doch so manche nur temporär genutzte Zugänge an, die da nicht hingehören. Unmittelbar nach dem IOS-Update waren bei mir, und wie ich weiß auch bei Anderen, auch die Daten zum mobilen Netzzugang verschwunden und mussten neu eingegeben werden.
Also hab ich die Daten im Router für das WLAN geändert und anschließend mein 3GS mit diesem sozusagen für ihn neuen WLAN bekannt gemacht, also ein "Anderes" Netzwerk eingeben können. Zuvor hatte ich vergeblich versucht nur den Schlüssel im alten Netzwerk neu einzugeben, aber da machte das Gerät sich permanent selbständig. Ich dachte schon fast ich sei zu blöd dazu. Bis ich darauf gekommen bin und es hat geklappt. Nun hoffe ich natürlich, dass es bleibt und ich das Gerät wieder sinnvoll nutzen kann.
Vielleicht nützt dir das ja auch. Würde mich auch interessieren, ob es bei dir auch geklappt hat.

Illustrator 8 on Vista-64 so I can install upgrade to CS2

I have already installed Photoshop PS2 on this Vista-64 system - no problem, have been using it for months. I seldom use Illustrator but now need to install so I can work with customer file. Won't install, installer exe doesn't even load. Note: Other thread focussed on suggestions that v8.0 is so old it's time to pay for upgrade. Well, I have the upgrade to CS2, but step-1 is install v8.0, then install upgrade. This worked fine for Photoshop, but not for Illustrator. Any suugestions?

Ooops, so sorry. I just tried to install the upgrade without first installing v8.0... worked fine. It simply asked me to install the v8.0 disc to verify (no need to actually install).
Please excuse my ignorance.
