Upgrade-phase "CONFLICT_CHECK" fails with error

Please help, I am trying to run the prepare for our BW 3.5 to BI 7.0 (SR2) upgrade and am running into an error in the CONFLICT_CHECK phase:

When i ran this in our beta and dev environment I wasn't updating as many support packs and plug in's; and I did not run into this error.  Here are the addon's I am updating

As you can see it is looking for SAPKINBC9D.  This is not an addon package I selected.  The PI_BASIS uses SAPKINBC9A.  I checked SEPS (EPS admin) and do not see this.  I also tried to search for this file on service.sap.com and do not see it.  I have no idea what could be causing this.  Please help!

If I remember correctly it was the version of PI_BASIS.  I ended up upgrading the following addon's during the upgrade follows:
PI_BASIS     2005_1_640     2005_1_700     Inst/UPG with STD CD
BI_CONT     353     703     UPG WITH SAINT PACK
ST-A/PI     01F_BCO640     -     DELETE
ST-PI     2005_1_640     2005_1_700     UPG WITH SAINT PACK
After the upgrade, I applied the PI_BASIS upgrade and support packs.

    History : Original problem was related to environment variables for DIR_LIBRARY. Resolved that issue; UaGui was started as root and not the <sid>adm user. UaServer was started as correct user. Killed session and logged on as <sid>adm restarted UaGui as the correct user. Now this error comes up, SAPup won't allow me continue or retry
    Replaced tp, r3trans and SAPup tools. Also when I run the cmd /usr/sap/put/exe/tp (tp) pf=/usr/sap/put/bin/EXDBNEW.TPP execdbscript BB1 -x ALORDC.XQL in a seperate session, it completes successfully and creates the necessary views as described in  ALORDC.XQL. I checked the ALORDC.LOG to confirm this.

    Hi John,
    The problem I had was wrong environment when starting the Uagui and Uaserver, must be started as adm user. I also restarted the installation from scratch...
    I  had an issue with a duplicate database object, SVERS in my case. I dropped the object not required and restarted phase, went through fine.

    Apparently, it is looking for "/trash/em10gr3unzip/etc/config/actions" or "/trash/em10gr3unzip/etc/config/inventory. May be you can try again unzipping/uncompressing the patch and then applying the patch.

  • Upgrade to Windows 10 failed with error 80070714. Please Help!!!

    Hi. I hope someone out there can help me!! I have tried numerous times to upgrade my HP Envy 15-K204NA from Windows 8.1 64-bit to Windows 10 Home, but it continues to fail with error code 80070714. I am using Bullguard Premium Protection and have Acronis True Image installed. I have disabled SQL services as suggested by other posts on the internet, but nothing seems to work. When I run the upgrade from a DVD burned from the ISO, it gets to 37% and then fails. Hope you can help.   • Upgrade from 8 to 8.1 fails with error code 0x80070004

    My repeated attempts to upgrade from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 to prepare for the upgrade to Windows 10 fails with error code 0x80070004. Is anyone familiar with this problem and aware of a solution?

    Here's the cycle:
    I plug in my iPad when “cable to iTunes shows on iPad screen. It says "Your iPad can't be updated, you must restore it to factory settings." That bad enough news, but it gets worse.

    Notes: I just upgraded to OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 on my iMac (27-inch, Mid 2011) in the last week. It’s the first time I’m tried to backup/update my iPad since the iMac update.
    I swapped out the USB cable to a new cable and get the same results.
    I also unplugged all other USB devices from the iMac and security on my iPad and still get the same results.
    I find it strange that it shows no Serial number for my my iPad 2 when plugged in. It shows “Serial Number: n/a on the screen when it displays: “iPad Recovery Mode To update your iPad without erasing its contents, click Update. To restore your iPad to its factory settings, click Restore iPad.
    I prefer to update my iPad, but it displays “Your iPad can’t be updated, you must restore it to factory settings. If you previously backed up the iPad, click Restore Backup after the restore process completes.”
    It’s a continuous loop. I get the display on my iPad to plug in the iPad to iTunes, plug it in which ends after going through the above procedure saying an error occurred (9).
    So now I cannot use my iPad. When I turn it on I get the display showing me to plug it into iTunes with the cable. Since this is the only option I have I plug it in and the loop begins.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like you are not able to restore the iOS device since you get an error 9. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

    Related errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1000, 1611, 9006. Sometimes security software can prevent your device from communicating with either the Apple update server or with your device.

  • Windows 8 backup (Win7 File Recovery system image) creation to NAS device fails with error 0x807800C5

    Hi,
    I have a ZyXEL NSA310 NAS device on my network that I use for backups (as well as a media server). I have been very happy with it as, amongst other things, it has a gigabit Ethernet connection. I recently upgraded my home laptop from Win7 Pro to Win8
    Pro. Under Win7 the NAS device worked perfectly as the backup target. I could back up file sets and - most importantly to me - create a system image on the device should I need to restore the system in the event of a full disk failure.
    When I upgraded to Win8 it kept the Win7 settings and it looked like it was just going to work, then as it came to create the system image it failed with error code 0x807800C5 and message "The version does not support this version of the file format".
    I have searched the internet and seen that others have had similar issues on Win7 and Win8 with NAS devices where they have had to hack the device to get it working - though it isn't clear that this has been successful for everyone. This isn't an option
    for me as the NSA310 is a closed device and in any event I don't see why I should have to hack the device when clearly this is a Win8 issue (since Win7 worked perfectly).
    Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this issue so that I can create the full backups I require?

    Thanks willis! I will look into the iSCSI route. A quick Google search and I can see some mention of the NSA310 and iSCSI so maybe it does support it.
    One question: Have you ever attempted to restore a system image from a NAS iSCSI device with a Win8 Restore Disk? Is it easy? I just want to be sure that it is possible to do so in case the worst happens and I need to restore the entire image onto a
    new disk.
    Hopefully Microsoft will fix the issue with the standard NAS setup with an update in the future, but I don't want to wait for it.

    Hi Phil,  No I have not had to do this yet, but I see no reason why it shouldn't work as the iSCSI disk looks just like a regular hard disk to the OS. I agree that Microsoft should fix the direct NAS support as the iSCSI approach does have the downside
    of dedicating a fixed chunk of your NAS drive to the iSCSI disk that you have to choose when you create the disk whereas the direct NAS just uses the actual space currently needed by the backup. Also I had some trouble getting authentication (access rights)
    to work so I left the iSCSI portal as open access - which is OK for a home solution but not a good idea in general. I will revisit this for my own setup and see if I can get it working but just wanted to mention it in case you have the same issue. It manifests
    itself as not being able to connect to the iSCSI portal due to failed authentication when running iSCSI initiator setup.

    I have this remote server that used to be a sms 2003 secondary site server. We uninstalled the SMS role. And used the server as an SCCM remote distribution point. We also want to install an client agent on that server machine. But no mather how i try

    I think the installer finds some remenance of the old SMS_MP. When looking i found some remains in IIS . I tried to remove the remains but still have the same error when installing the client. I uninstalled IIS completly. Can someone tell me where the client
    installer looks for the MP version? Would it help if i installed an SCCM MP on that server and the uninstalled it (Upgrade the MP)?

    Hello Kent, i ran the ccmclean.exe from the SMS2003 Toolkit. It informed me that my system was cleaned. I ran the sccm client setup manualy and found this in the ccmsetup.log

    Their must be something remaining that ccmclean can't find or can' access so i ran ccmclean /mp. This did some stuff and told me the system was clean again. I reran the client setup.

    I had problems on upgrades got message to run Acrobat clean tool
    I did it then I run new installation from Creative Cloud
    failed installation gave me the following error and to contact adobe support. What I have to do?

    The Error 1603 usually occurs due to insufficient privileges.
    Try the following steps:

  • NAConnectToServerSync failed with error

    Hi all,
    since i upgraded to ML on my MBA the automatic (hourly, daily,...) Backups on my TimeCapsule doesn't work. When i start a manuall backup Time Machine (i have choosen my TC to be the only backup-destination, no rotating backups with another disk) works fine and the backup is done without any errors.
    But the next time when an automatic backup should be taken, it occurs with the error "Backup Disk is not available", in the System Log it looks like this:
    com.apple.backupd:  NAConnectToServerSync failed with error:  2 for url afp://<myuser>; AUTH=[email protected]/HDD;AUTH=SRP@TC
    com.apple.backupd:  Backup failed with error: 19

    Well, I was hoping for a networking guru to leap in with a magical answer. 
    Even asked one directly; no help.
    So, all I can suggest is the usual "grab bag" -- hopefully one will do it:
    • Re-select the TC via TM Preferences.
    • If that doesn't help, do a "full reset" of Time Machine, per #A4 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting.
    • Reset the TC.  I think a "hard reset" is what you want.  See http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3728
    • If stil no help, power your Mac and Time Capsule down.  Leave them off for several minutes.  Power the TC back up first.  Wait several minutes, then power up your Mac.

  • CPU12.1.0.2.3 opatchauto failed with error code 255.

    I am installing critical patch update 12.1.0.2.3 (15-APR-2015) for Grid Infrastructure standalone on Linux.  It fails with the subject error code and the following additional messages:,
    The user is root. OPatch cannot continue if the user is root.
    opatchauto failed with error code 255.
    The instructions specifically tell me to login as root before installing the patch, so what's up?
    The instructions say to first upgrade OPatch to the latest, which I have done and verified.
    Second, an OCM Response File is mandatory, so I followed the steps to create this file and saved it as /home/grid/ocm.rsp with default permissions 644.
    Third, the instructions say to download the patch and unzip it to an empty location that cannot be /tmp.  I created a new directory /home/grid/foo and unzipped the software to that location.  So, the unzip location is /home/grid/foo/ and in that directory are only two things: a file named PatchSearch.xml and a directory named 20485724.
    Fourth, the readme says the patch must be installed by a user with root privileges, so I have logged in as root.  (Oracle Note 1591616.1 says you must login as root, not just be root like). 
    As root I have set environment variable for ORACLE_HOME pointing to the GI Home, and I set PATH=$PATH:$ORACLE_HOME/bin:$ORACLE_HOME/OPatch. 
    Finally, I invoke opatchauto with the required parameters and it throws an error saying I cannot be root.  I fussed with the parameters and the result is always I cannot be root.

    Case 3: Patching GI Home Alone
    You should use the following instructions if you prefer to patch Oracle GI (Grid Infrastructure) home alone with this patch.
    Case 3.1: Non-Shared GI Home
    If the GI home is not shared then use the following instructions to patch the home.

    Follow these instructions in this section if the GI home is not shared and none of the Oracle database homes use ACFS file system for its software files.
    Execute the following on each node of the cluster.
    As root user execute:
    # opatchauto apply <UNZIPPED_PATCH_LOCATION>/%BUGNO% -oh <GI_HOME> -ocmrf <ocm response file>
    My command is,
    opatchauto apply /home/grid/foo/20485724 -oh /u01/app/12.1.0.2/grid -ocmrf /home/grid/ocm.rsp
    So, not a syntax problem.  It simply won't let me run it as root despite that being a hard requirement.

    I tried with above command and faced the a different error . I tried applying patch 4487801.
    ApplySession applying interim patch '4487801' to OH <Oracle_Home>
    ApplySession failed during prerequisite checks: Prerequisite check "CheckApplica
    bleProduct" failed.
    The details are:
    OPatch found incompatible or invalid applicable product type with respect to the
    Oracle Home.
    System intact, OPatch will not attempt to restore the system
    OPatch failed with error code = 74
    I doubt if some other patches to be applied before this one.if yes, then from where we can get the list of pre requite patches.
    Please guide.

  • Backups failing with error 19: the backup disk could not be resolved, or there was a problem mounting it

    Hello all,
    Doubt this issue relates to a recent and ugly issue but sharing anyways (resolved thanks to a user here: LaPastenague)
    Time Capsule won't backup if Modem (Motorola SB6121) attached
    This was on Feb 10th resolved. Few days later I upgraded to Yosemite.  Backups were working fine since.  
    Yesterday I happen to notice my last backup was 5 days ago.  I looked in the console logs and saw:

    2/25/15 3:57:18.808 PM com.apple.prefs.backup.remoteservice[2021]: Attempt to use XPC with a MachService that has HideUntilCheckIn set. This will result in unpredictable behavior: com.apple.backupd.status.xpc
    I called Apple.  Their front line was clueless. He suggested resetting the TC (latest "tower" model btw") which then a backup kicked off YEAH
    But the next hour it failed
    Called Apple again, this time to Sr Advisor.  He suggested factory reset of the TC and set up again.  Also first backup worked then rest failed
    Third call to Apple useless also.  He was asking questions I didn't feel relevant.  He also was asking me to reset the TC which I told him was done 2 hours prior. He asked me to reboot which I could NOT at that time.
    I begged him to collect data to submit to engineering, which will take days to get a reply.
    So I thought I would throw this out to the community....
    TC Is NEW (replaced from last issue).  Mac is 8 months old (iMac 27"), Os is Yosemite,  TC also new (latest model)

    Yosemite is problematic on two fronts.. Networking and Time Machine.. so the combo of doing both with a Time Capsule is like bugs on bugs.
    Here is my standard list.. but your problem maybe difficult to resolve.. and my suggestion is simple.. until Apple get their act together and fix TM.. buy Carbon Copy Cloner and use that for your backup. It is solid and reliable.. even better if you use USB drive plugged into the computer and do a bootable clone.. because then you have a backup that is able to be tested for full functionality 2min after the end of the backup.
    This also starts from a factory reset.. but the reason for it is to change the configuration which is much more easily handled with factory reset to begin.. the instructions are there.. because this is my standard reply.. this is not uncommon!!
    Factory reset universal
    Power off the TC.. ie pull the power cord or power off at the wall.. wait 10sec.. hold in the reset button.. be gentle.. power on again still holding in reset.. and keep holding it in for another 10sec. You may need some help as it is hard to both hold in reset and apply power. It will show success by rapidly blinking the front led. Release the reset.. and wait a couple of min for the TC to reset and come back with factory settings. If the front LED doesn’t blink rapidly you missed it and simply try again. The reset is fairly fragile in these.. press it so you feel it just click and no more.. I have seen people bend the lever or even break it. I use a toothpick as tool.
    N.B. None of your files on the hard disk of the TC are deleted.. this simply clears out the router settings of the TC.
    Setup the TC again.
    ie Start from a factory reset. No files are lost on the hard disk doing this.
    Then redo the setup from the computer with Yosemite.
    1. Use very short names.. NOT APPLE RECOMMENDED names. No spaces and pure alphanumerics.
    eg TCgen5 and TCwifi for basestation and wireless respectively.
    Even better if the issue is more wireless use TC24ghz and TC5ghz with fixed channels as this also seems to help stop the nonsense. But this can be tried in the second round.
    2. Use all passwords that also comply but can be a bit longer. ie 8-20 characters mixed case and numbers.. no non-alphanumerics.
    3. Ensure the TC always takes the same IP address.. you will need to do this on the main router using dhcp reservation.. or a bit more complex setup using static IP in the TC. But this is important.. having IP drift all over the place when Yosemite cannot remember its own name for 5 min after a reboot makes for poor networking. If the TC is main router it will not be an issue.
    4. Check your share name on the computer is not changing.. make sure it also complies with the above.. short no spaces and pure alphanumeric.. but this change will mess up your TM backup.. so be prepared to do a new full backup. Sorry.. keep this one for second round if you want to avoid a new backup.
    5. Mount the TC disk in the computer manually.
    In Finder, Go, Connect to server from the top menu,
    Type in SMB://192.168.0.254 (or whatever the TC ip is which you have now made static. As a router by default it is 10.0.1.1 and I encourage people to stick with that unless you know what you are doing).
    You can use name.. SMB://TCgen5.local where you replace TCgen5 with your TC name.. local is the default domain of the TC and doesn't change.
    However names are not so easy as IP address.. nor as reliable. At least not in Yosemite they aren't. The domain can also be an issue if you are not plugged or wireless directly to the TC.
    6. Make sure IPv6 is set to link-local only in the computer. For example wireless open the network preferences, wireless and advanced / TCP/IP.. and fix the IPv6. to link-local only.
    There is a lot more jiggery pokery you can try but the above is a good start.. if you find it still unreliable.. don't be surprised.
    You might need to do some more work on the Mac itself. eg Reset the PRAM.. has helped some people. Clean install of the OS is also helpful if you upgrade installed.

  • Encoding failed with error -43

    I push "burn" and the error message: "Encoding of (file name.mov) failed with error -43" pops up immediately upon beginning the encode phase.
    This just started today...can't figure out what is different from yesterday...I am importing 16x9 anamorphic Quicktime files (audio and video, directly exported from Final Cut Pro and re-formatted for aspect ratio through QTPro. No menu, no jumps, nothing but video/audio with "first Start" in the track (set for 16x9 letterbox display mode)...
    any suggestions? I am dead in the water...

  • LSOpenURLsWithRole() failed with error -1712

    Hi, I have a bash alias that I set for a command that opens a few local folders and runs some commands.  These commands are separated with ";"
    Since upgrading to Yosemite, my bash aliases with separated commands fail with error -1712 half of the time.
    Here is an example command alias:
    alias examplecommand='open ~/Applications; open ~/Documents; open ~/Downloads; open ~/Library'
    If I run examplecommand in Terminal, ~/Applications, ~/Documents, and ~/Downloads successfully open in new Finder windows but then I get a Terminal error saying:
    LSOpenURLsWithRole() failed with error -1712 for the file /Users/rhaig/Library.
    If I don't close any of the windows but then run examplecommand again, It will now open ~/Library and no errors will be reported in the Terminal.
    What's going on here?  Yosemite breaks commands separated with ; ?
    How can I fix this?  Thanks!

    It seems to be a timing issue. If you open more than three folders with the same command you get the error. File a bug report if you wish, and it might be fixed in a few years.
