Upgrade the database to 10.2.1.2

I want to upgrade the database to 10.2.1.2 for OID and the metadata repository. I have checked certify and this looks supported, but I don't see any instructions on what needs to be done. Do I just install 10.2.1.2 in the infrastructure tier ?

  • Now that I've installed Yosemite, my computer keeps telling me that iPhoto needs to be upgraded.  When it starts "upgrading the database", it gets almost to the end of the progress bar, then sits and spins.  It  won't finish.

My computer is an iMac that was made in late 2009, and was purchased by me in 2010.  It has a 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor.  I have more than 800 GB of storage available.  Last week I installed the Yosemite OS.  I'm having trouble with the upgrading of iPhoto.  When it says it's upgrading the database, it never finishes.  I've started the process a few times, and the progress line always gets to the same place when it sits and spins for hours at a time without any more progress.  I thought about putting some of my 10,000 + pictures on discs to see if that would help, but I can't open iPhoto to get at them.  Would that help, anyway?  My son thinks this computer is too old to accept all updates.  The hard drive was replaced 2 years ago.
    Thanks for any help.

    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • Upgrade the database table

    hi all
I have a sceen if i will enter the value and press the save button it will add all the value into the database table.
I am doing this using dialog programming.
if anybody have face this prob to upgrade the database table than it would help me a lot
    thanks a lot to all
    mrutyun

    Hey Hi
For that first either you have to declare internal table or you can use database table work area in the abap editor
after that you need to declare all 5 fields with same name in abap as well as screen painter.
now in the PAI of the screen you have to handle all your 3 pushbuttons with the help of fcoded assigned to them.
the case may be like this
    PROCESS AFTER INPUT
    CASE OK-CODE.
    WHEN 'CREATE'.
    ITABNAME-FNAME1 = SCREEN FIELD NAME1
    ITABNAME-FNAME2 = SCREEN FIELD NAME2
    ITABNAME-FNAME3 = SCREEN FIELD NAME3
    ITABNAME-FNAME4 = SCREEN FIELD NAME4
    ITABNAME-FNAME5 = SCREEN FIELD NAME5
    INSERT <DATABASE TABLE> FROM ITAB.
    WHEN 'DISPLAY'.
SELECT SINGLE * FROM DBTAB INTO ITAB.
    SCREEN FIELD NAME1 = ITABNAME-FNAME1
    SCREEN FIELD NAME2 = ITABNAME-FNAME2 =
    SCREEN FIELD NAME3 = ITABNAME-FNAME3
    SCREEN FIELD NAME4 = ITABNAME-FNAME4
    SCREEN FIELD NAME5 = ITABNAME-FNAME5.
    WHEN 'CHANGE'.
    ITABNAME-FNAME1 = SCREEN FIELD NAME1
    ITABNAME-FNAME2 = SCREEN FIELD NAME2
    ITABNAME-FNAME3 = SCREEN FIELD NAME3
    ITABNAME-FNAME4 = SCREEN FIELD NAME4
    ITABNAME-FNAME5 = SCREEN FIELD NAME5
    MODIFY <DATABASE TABLE> FROM ITAB.
    ENDCASE.

  • Upgraded the Database from 10.2.0.4 to 11.2.0.2 including statistics

    Hi,
Recently I have upgraded Few Servers from 10.2.0.4 to 11.2.0.2 on Sun Solaris 64Bit X86.
    BANNER
    Oracle Database 11g Release 11.2.0.2.0 - 64bit Production
    PL/SQL Release 11.2.0.2.0 - Production
    CORE    11.2.0.2.0      Production
TNS for Solaris: Version 11.2.0.2.0 - Production
NLSRTL Version 11.2.0.2.0 - ProductionBefore the Upgrade We generated the stats at system level and Schema level and exported the stats into Table.
    Database Upgrade was done successfully
    Upgraded the System stats
Upgraded the Stats table and imported back to Schema's
Tested with Queries and they were OK
But some of the Queries which have DB Links started taking Hanging and seen wait events
    WAIT #18446741324892168800: nam='asynch descriptor resize' ela= 3 outstanding #aio=0 current aio limit=4294967295 new aio limit=261 obj#=-1 tim=581083891935
    WAIT #18446741324892168800: nam='SQL*Net message to dblink' ela= 4 driver id=1413697536 #bytes=1 p3=0 obj#=-1 tim=581084016896
WAIT #18446741324892168800: nam='SQL*Net more data from dblink' ela= 22 driver id=1413697536 #bytes=4 p3=0 obj#=-1 tim=581084030942 So I raised call with Oracle and gave me patch for fix "asynch descriptor resize" but the problem still exist with below wait events
    WAIT #18446741324892168800: nam='SQL*Net message to dblink' ela= 4 driver id=1413697536 #bytes=1 p3=0 obj#=-1 tim=581084016896
WAIT #18446741324892168800: nam='SQL*Net more data from dblink' ela= 22 driver id=1413697536 #bytes=4 p3=0 obj#=-1 tim=581084030942 Normally in the 10g this Query used to come out under second
So I used the Hint 10.2.0.4 in the Query and the output came under second.
So I updated the optimizer feature parameter to 10.2.0.4 and then Queries started working fine.
In the Test Environment I was able to reproduce the same problem.
    Test Case
Took the physical copy for the Upgraded DB
Run the same Query with 11.2.0.2 optimizer and saw the same problem
    Deleted the Schema level stats
    Generated the new stats
Executed the same Query(Out came under second)
Oracle Support Still working on this issue
As any one has faced this issue.
    Regards
    NM

    You can do this also
    1. Export 3 schemas with grants=y rows=N and import the data schema structure with grants
2.Check the log file for missing roles and create those roles using from dba_role_privs..etc
    3. Import the data ignore=y option
    Hope this helps

    Hi all,
is it possible to upgrade the 10.1.0.4 database from Standard Edition to Enterprise Edition without new installation?
    Regards,

    Dear Experts,
Please note that we are in process of doing database upgrade from 9.2.0.6 to 11.2.0.2 ?
We have gone through the interoperablity note id for 11i 11gr2 ?
    Step 1
upgrading the database from 9.2.0.6 to 9.2.0.8 ?
    Step 2-
Upgrading the Forms patchset to 19 ?
    Step-3
    Applying the Rollup-6 patch ?
    Step -4
Upgrading the database from 9.2.0.8 to 11.2.0.2 ?
We would like to know whether after each step do we have to do any kind of testing on the Oracle Application Instance and the database?
    Please advise.
    Regards
    Mohammed.

We would like to know whether after each step do we have to do any kind of testing on the Oracle Application Instance and the database? There is no such a list. However, you can refer to the documents referenced in each task above and it should cover if any testing need to be done or not (for example, the Developer Patchset doc). For the rest of the docs you will have to do your regular testing (test the application/database and make sure it is working properly).
Also, make sure you review (Known issues on Top of 11i.ATG_PF.H. delta.6 (RUP6) - 5903765 [ID 459353.1]).

  • Upgrading Oracle Database from 10.2.0.3 to 10.2.0.4 on Windows XP

    Hi,
My moto is to install Oracle DB 10.2.0.4 but i didn't find that vesion of DB. so i installed 10.2.0.3 and now wanted to upgrade it to 10.2.0.4. Please redirect me to proper documentation or patch that will help me.
Is there 10.2.0.4 setup directly insted of upgrading from previous version??

    Hi,
Case 1) On top of Oracle Database 10.2.0.3 directly install and apply the patch for Oracle database 10.2.0.4 provided with Database ORACLE_HOME and SYS password parameters at the patch installation time.
Case 2) If you installed only Database software from 10.2.0.3 to 10.2.0.4, using dbua utility you can upgrade the database version.

  • How to upgrade repository database from 10.1.0.4 to 10.2.0.3?

I installed EM10gR3 on Linux. I chose Install Grid Control using a New Database option. The database is 10.1.0.4. How can I upgrade repository database to 10.2.0.3? Shall I install Oracle 10.2.0.3 and then use dbua to upgrade?
    Thanks,
    Kevin

Yes. But first of all check that the 10.2.0.3 Repository is compartible with 10.2.0.3 database. You will find this in the Installation Guide. Then use any upgrade type (DBUA, Upgrade Script etc) to upgrade the database.

Steps to upgrade oracle database from11.2.0.1 to 11.2.0.3 on Windows 2003 3

    Hi,
    Upgrade steps
    1. Install 11.2.0.3.0 rdbms software
11.2.0.3 patch set is a full release.
Beginning with the release 11.2.0.3 patch set, you have two ways to apply a patch set
i)Out-of-place upgrade (Recommended) -- 11.2.0.3 will be installed as standalone at another location. So there is no impact on source oracle home and also DB upgrade will take less time
See Note 1276368.1 : Complete checklist for out-of-place manual upgrade from 11.2.0.1 to 11.2.0.2 , it is applicable for 11.2.0.3 as well
ii)in-place upgrade - 11.2.0.3 will be installed on top of 11.2 installation, So source oracle home will be replaced, Downtime will be high comparing out of place upgrade
