Upgraded to OSX 10.9.2; Pro Acrobat documents are blank when emailed

I upgrade my system to OSX 10.9.2. I am using Acrobat Pro. My template forms work fine but when emailed, they show up and arrive as blank documents. Any suggestions as to how this can be fixed?

The most recent iPhoto is 9.4.2, so open Apple menu > Software Update and install the most recent iPhoto. Also, check if you have another iPhoto copy of an older version on your Mac

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

Upgraded to OSX Lion 10.7.4 & optical drives are no longer recognized

I have a MacPro 1,1 with a 2 x 2.66GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon and I just upgraded to OSX Lion 10.7.4. Upon upgrading my system stopped recognizing the two optical drives I had installed. Is there a patch or are there drivers that I can download to fix this? Has this happened to anyone else? I was prepared to lose access to some older software but not my optical drives!!!
When I do a "system report" through "About this mac" both of the drives are listed but they dont show up on my deskop. I have an Optiarc DVD RW AD-7170A and a TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S202N

Nearly the same identical question on another thread yesterday.
First things to try doing are zap PRAM and / or Reset SMC.
That usually is all that is needed, and on your Mac there is a physical SMC button on the logicboard above PCI slot #4 and access you have to remove card if you have one there, and remove drive #4.
Otherwise hit power button for 8 seconds with the power cord removed along with other cables and devices then reconnect and do a normal power on.

Print out size lost control after upgrade to osx 10.9, cannot print 100% document original size, why?

I'm using Xerox 1450GA, before upgrade to OSX 10.9, printing Adobe file could be in 100% real size. After upgrade, lost control, even checked setting in 100% in setting, come out image still auto reduce few percents, that make me confuse and cannot complete digital printing jobs, someone have same problem? I've spent hours on the phone going in circles with HP's "support" (I use the term loosely here) and can confirm that it's a driver issue. The best part is, HP and Apple claim that neither of them have a copy of the v2.14 driver that actually worked, and I can't seem to dig one up online anywhere. I've tried everything under the sun and just gave up... ordering an Epson and selling both of my HP's. I think the only other option is to wait for HP to release working drivers, but since they don't even seem to understand that their driver is the source of the problem, I wouldn't hold my breath.
It seems really crazy to me that neither the manufacturer nor Apple keep a copy of the previous driver, but that's what I've been told. HP did release what they're calling a new 10.9 raster driver (available on their site), but it didn't fix the problem for me. If you have a timemachine backup from before the 2.16.1 driver was released, I'd restore to that and turn off automatic updates. If you don't (like me) seems like your stuck.

Upgraded my iWorks Apps--now my old iCloud documents are gone?

I recently upgraded my iWorks suite to the newest version on my Macbook Pro. Now when I go to Pages and try and open something from iCloud, all my documents are gone. They aern't visiblue on iCloud.com either. What happened to them?

Sure, no problem.
Before the IOS 8 update, Apple's offsite file storage system for iWork was called "iCloud". I had dozens of Numbers files stored on this system.
Under the new IOS/Yosemite regime, the offsite file storage system for iWork (and now all kinds of other files, too) is called "iCloud Drive".
When I upgraded my iPad Mini to IOS 8, I selected "Upgrade to iCloud Drive" instead of "Not Now" because I accepted the fact that I would only be able to access my iWork documents on my Mini and the iCloud web interface, but NOT my Macbook (running Mavericks).
But now it looks like my Numbers files were not migrated for some reason. They are not available on my iPad Mini or the iCloud browser interface.
I called my wife at home to have her boot up the MacBook and try to access a few important Numbers files. She was able to open them and save a copy of each of them to the Macbook's local hard drive. So I guess my most urgent problem has been contained (I think I may have access to my Numbers files on my laptop), but it is still an open question why all my Pages files migrated from (the old) "iCloud" to (the new) "iCloud Drive" and my Numbers files didn't.

Upgraded to 5.0.1 and now all keynotes are blank. Any ideas please?

I just upgraded to iWork 09 and then as software update instructed, upgraded to 5.0.1..
Now any new keynote or any old keynote file opens, shows the slides in the slide organiser on the left but the main slide window is completely blank.
I drag a picture in, nothing, blank. I edit some type and change colours... nothing.
Any old keynote I open has the slides there, I can export as powerpoint, pdf or anything else, but cannot edit in main window as there is nothing there.
No theme data is there. Slides are blank. Even applying a theme retrospectively has no effect.
I have repaired permissions, nothing particularly doing.
No change.
I am now stuck. I can try reinstalling, but I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

I have solved my own problem here. This might be of use if anyone has a similar problem.
Removed the Application support files and the Application folder for iWork 09.
Re-installed iWork 09
Tested to see if the slides now work
They do.
Re-applied the upgrades to 5.0.1

Screen interference since upgrading to OSX 10.9, MacBook Pro

The screen display on my MBP corrupts periodically so it does not display windows correctly. Usually results in interference around the edges of the windw, beneath the top menu bar or even within the menu bar.
This is a 15-inch, mid 2010 / 2.66 GHz Intel Core i7 / 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 / Intel HD Graphics 288MB
Suggestions anyone please? It will reset after I switch between screen settings.

You have the MacBookPro6,2, the Edsel of Macs. It may be covered by this program:

Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider, to have the machine tested. The routine hardware diagnostics used by service providers may not detect the fault. There is a specific test for this issue.
Print the support page linked above and bring it with you.
Note that the replacement program only applies within three years of purchase. If you wait beyond that date, Apple may refuse the service. In that case, you'll be quoted a price of about $300 (in the U.S.) for a depot repair. The model was discontinued in February 2011, so the replacement program will be ending quite soon.
Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to an empty drive from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.
Sometimes the replacement part is also defective, so be prepared for that possibility.
If it's too late for your unit to be repaired under the program, and you don't want to pay for a new logic board, you may be able to stop the panics by disabling automatic graphics switching.
*An SSD doesn't need to be zeroed.

Spectrasonics Trilian won't start/work after upgrading to OSX Mavericks using Logic Pro 9.1.8

Anyone has a clue why this happens or how to fix it? Is it just that Spectrasonics hasn't released a software update for Mavericks yet or could it be something else?

Check the AU manager to make sure it correctly validated. If not then select it and manually rescan and re validate...

Upgrading to Mavericks wrecked my MacBook Pro & now it only works when external hard drive is plugged in

So I tried to upgrade to Mavericks today and it failed (same error as in this post which seemed to be a common problem). It wouldn't let me repair the disk, and after trying all sorts I rebooted my computer in recovery mode - it wouldn't let me reinstall Lion because the hard drive was apparently locked and I could see no way around this. So I decided to restore from a Time Machine backup on an external hard drive and that worked okay, except my MacBook now only works when the external hard drive is connected. If I remove the external hard drive, I'm back to square one as it still won't let me reinstall Lion as the HD is locked!
I have no idea what's going on. HELP!

Acrobat prints are blank

I routinely receive PDF files of engineering drawings via email which I can view on-screen. When I try and print them to an HP 9800, no matter what I try, the printer spits out blank paper...
Suggestions so that I can print PDF's to my HP 9800???

I've since found out that there is somewhat of a "fix" that addresses a way to see the form entries in Acrobat, but doesn't resolve the problem the Preview creates. There is a script available on the Adobe forum that can be installed into Adobe Acrobat: http://blogs.adobe.com/pdfdevjunkie/2009/11/script_to_fix_mac_osx_previewa.html. The link and also explains the problem which should really be addressed by Apple. After installation, it will appear in the Edit menu of Acrobat. Once you open a Preview form, selecting "Fix Field Appearances" will repair the form so that the entries are visible.
Preview will still create bad forms, but this script will allow them to be visible in Acrobat. Unfortunately if you're sending a form to someone, there's no way to know if the recipient is using Preview or Acrobat and whether they even know about the problem. So you would have to create the form in Preview, open it in Acrobat, fix the field appearances and re-save. So it's not really a fix, just a work-around. Still don't use Preview for this reason.
I don't know if the script works with Adobe Reader, there's no mention that it does or doesn't in the forum entry.

Acrobat bookmarks are lost when resaving the file

Hi,
I am converting a docx to pdf using Save as --> PDF --> clicking on options and selecting create bookmarks using headings and publish.
The conversion is done perfectly. However after encrypting, or changing a name of a bookmark and saving after that, the bookmark links are lost. When I right click on any bookmark and checking there link, there is nothing.
I noticed that if I use Microsoft Word 2007 with SP2 this problem is resolved. However, I have various pdfs already converted (and don't have the original doc) which I need to encrypt. However this is not possible to do so as they lose their bookmarks.
Is there a solution for this?

I am seeing a similar bug in Acrobat, and I am seeing it in both Acrobat 7 and Acrobat 9.
If I have an open PDF, and I choose File > Save As, then rename the PDF, all bookmarks are lost.
Gone. Poof. Bye-bye.
If I rename the file in Windows Explorer, the bookmarks are retained just fine.
This happens without exception. Every PDF file.
I simply cannot use the File > Save As command at all. Ever.
First detected it in Acrobat 7, and I am still seeing this behavior in Acrobat 9.

I just upgraded to the new iTunes and now my playlists are jumbled when I print them.

I just up graded to the new iTunes and now when I prints playlists, they are jumbled. It's not my printer...........only happens on iTunes.

Help. Somehow my toddler reversed the display on our macbook pro. Documents are now black with white type. Photos look like negatives. I have tried to undo this but I don't know how!

If anyone knows how to undo this, I would greatly appreciate it. Clearly I am outsmarted by a 2 year old!
