Regarding CVS support in SUTDIO CREATOR--imediate requirment

hi ,
we are doing the project in jsf using creator. actually it is a big project (might contains some 1500 files) more than one developers may involve in it. we created a single project in sun java studio creator for project synchronization between developers and splited it as packages and imported this package structure in cvs.(This thing we had decided because whenever i imported the existing page that was created by other developers, the properties of that page hasn't been copied properly in creator )so we decided to go for cvs.
whenever i create a new package and file in creator. i have to create new folder and file in cvs (corresponding .jsp file, .java file, ) and i have to correctly check in the modified file by creator to cvs (ie ., managed-bean.xml, navigation.xml, project.prj, build-ext.xml, project.properties)
This thing is very trivial for us to synchronize the whole project as it grow long.
would u please tell us wheather cvs support is avail in studio creator or any other efficient way for project synchronization.
please post a solution immediately.

As Mark Dey explained in the thread at http://swforum.sun.com/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=51046, it's not difficult now to use an external CVS client with source for Creator apps. Adding a CVS feature to Creator is in progress, but we can't divulge the release date in advance.

Are there any plans to add CVS support?
It would be great to have a way to completly source repository all ddl, views, packages, procedures, and functions. Or only certain items.

We are aware this is a top priority and have it on our list to do. The priority for this release was to rebuild some of the underlying architecture, such as the Navigator, in readiness for future features.
We have a choice, to release less frequently with more features, or more frequently with less feature in each release. We have opted to release 1.1 with lots of smaller features and in a future release add in functionality such as version control support.

OATS CPU does not support the SSE2 instruction set required to run JRockit

Hello,
I am trying to get the OATS agents to work on some injector machines, however, when I try to start them I get the following error:
"[ERROR] Your CPU does not support the SSE2 instruction set required to run JRockit.
Could not create the Java Virtual Machine."
Is there a way to configure OATs to use the Sun JDK instead? I have the Sun JDK in my path and JAVA_HOME set accordingly, however that doesn't seem to make a difference. Alternatively, is there a workaround to this problem?

In this case, SQL Server Analysis Services doesn’t support Distributed Transactions by design. Here is a similar thread about this issue for your reference, please see:

Regarding CVS Diff Display

Hi,
I have to display the CVS Diff in a page where one side of the page will have all the deletions('<' of the Diff) and the other side of the page will have all the additions('>'s of the Diff). Can someone please let me know whether there is an already existing API to do this or if someone has already done this? Please let me know if there is an Eclipse Plugin or any open source code to do this.

Regarding copying support message

We are using Solution Manager System from maintaining support desk
messages.
In our Solution Manager System using two client i.e. client 100 & 200
for maintaining different division support deak message.
Now, as per requirement we want to close one client & maintain all
messages in one client. But the problem is required all old support
desk messages in one client.
Therefore, pls. suggest how it is possible to copy all the support desk
message from one client to another for viewing purpose.

Deactivate Earlier message and activate the one suggested, check if you are using correct application area.
In the case of an error message, processing cannot be continued until user input has been corrected. You can also group the messages according to user classes by saving the messages as different versions.
After having saved the message categories as different versions, you can assign a version to certain users. This results in the same message appearing as an error message for one user, but as warning for another.

SAP support for country-specific legal requirements

Just wondering if anyone could clarify how does SAP support work for the country-specific legal requirements. I'm sure in every country some new laws come to life regularly that affect the SAP customers and their ERP systems.
Case in point - on July 1st Mexican authority SAT decided to ask businesses to send them some XML files with some GL account information ('Anexo 24' - see the announcement in Spanish here). The deadline for the first file submission is October 2014.
This clearly affects every single SAP customer in the whole Mexico, as well as potentially many North America customers who have manufacturing facilities there. So would it be reasonable to expect SAP to come up with some standard solution? XML file extraction doesn't seem to be incredibly complex to me (although I might be off).
Another question - how would the customers know that SAP is aware of new laws and is taking some action? Could there be an announcement posted somewhere? There is a website for SAP Latin Americabut the latest announcement there is from June and nothing else is on the home page except for the HANA ads. (My Spanish is limited to "dos cervezas por favor", sorry if I missed something.)
In absence of such communication, naturally, the only option the individual customers have is to send a message to SAP. And that's where SAP replies with a copy/paste text (we got the same exact response as another SCN member here):
Feel free to maintain this incident opened, but contact us in the next three weeks, then we will be able to confirm if this legal requirement will be supported by SAP.
I'm confused - "IF"?! This is a legal requirement, there is no "if" for the business. Let's see if I got it right - we wait for 3 weeks, then SAP decides "nah, not gonna support that" (by the way, why is it on the customers to contact support again?) and every SAP customer in the whole country will have to scramble their own resources or pay for consulting (on top of SAP maintenance fees) to deliver the same exact set of programs on their own in under 2 months?
It could've been just an unfortunate choice of verbiage by Global Support, but I'm curious - is this really how the support for legal requirements supposed to work?

Having been part of the SAP Globalization Services in Brazil, I understand a little bit of that process.
A few comments:
1) Localization of SAP solutions to country-specific regulation is under the responsibility of an area called Globalization Services. You can find more info about what they do here:

2) Typically, those country-specific requirements are discussed in much details on the local ASUG chapters (at least that's how we did it in Brazil). That's why it's usually hard to find material in English, but I'd say that your local IT/Biz people in Mexico should be regulars in their local ASUG meetings, specially if they have a specific chapter to discuss Localization matters.
3) I found out this note with more specifics about "SAT Anexo 24".

Suggestion if you want to speed the analysis up: reach out to your commercial contact in SAP.
4) Regarding your statement about the time it takes for the analysis & delivery to take place.
As an SAP customer, you have all the right to complain about the service level you're getting, it's just that, having been on the other side of the table, I know some facts that sometimes may be taken for granted. For example, SAP do not have infinite maintenance resources. I do understand that all customers pay maintenance and need to have their demands addressed, but SAP does not have a bench of developers available for whenever a new demand appears. If there is a new demand, they need to estimate the efforts and accommodate it into the development resource planning.
5) From a legal perspective, there is a difference between Legal Change and New Legal Requirement. The latter, if differing too much from the initial purpose of the acquired software, might not necessarily be required by the Software provider to be fulfilled within the maintenance scope. I'm not saying that it's the case for this Mexican requirement, I'm just saying there is this possibility, generally.
My personal recommendation: get your local Mexico people to be closer to the SAP Mexico team. They are usually responsible to publish information about such local requirements and the SAP release plan.

Best Practices needed -- question regarding global support success stories

My customer has a series of Go Lives scheduled throughout the year and is now concerned about an October EAI (Europe, Asia, International) go live. They wish to discuss the benefits of separating a European go Live from an Asia/International go live in terms of support capabilities and best practices. The European business is definitely larger and more important than the Asia/International business and the split would allow more targeted focus on Europe. My customer does not have a large number of resources to spare and is starting to think that supporting the combined go live may be too much (i.e., too much risk to the businesses) to handle.
The question for SAP is regarding success stories and best practices.
From a global perspective, do we recommend this split? Do most of our global customers split a go live in Europe from a go live in Asia/International (which is Australia, etc.). Can I reference any of these customers? If the EAI go live is not split, what is absolutely necessary for success, etc, etc? For example, if a core team member plus local support is required in each location, then this may not be possible with the resources they have u2026u2026..
I would appreciate any insights/best practices/success stories/or u201Cwaru201D stories you might be aware of.

Hi, this is purely based on customer requirement.
I have a friend in an Organization which went live in 38 centers at the same time.
With the latest technologies in networking, distances does not make any difference.
The Organization where I currently work in, has global business locations. In my current organization the go live was in phases. Here they went live in the region where the business was maximum first because this region was their largest and most important as far as revenue was concerned. Then after stabilizing this region, a group of consultants went to the rest of the regions for the go live in that region.
Both the companies referred above are successfully into SAP and are leading partners with SAP. Unfortunately I am not authorized to give you the names of the Organizations as a reference for you as you requested.
But in your case if you have shortage of manpower, you can do it in phases by first going live in the European Market and then in phases you can go live in the other regions.

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?

Working with CVS and Java Studio Creator 2

Hello,
I'm a new user of java studio creator and I would like to make a project using ths CVS.
First, I've installed a CVS server on a computer.
Then I've created a new project (an example included with JSC)
Then I've customized the version manager in JSC 2 to connect to the remote CVS server.
No problem, if I try to connect to CVS in the version manager, it work ("You are connected").
On the other hand, when I want to check out my project on the CVS (the first check out), I've got this error :
cvs server: connect to 82.252.252.173(82.252.252.173):2402 failed: Une tentative de connexion a �chou� car le parti connect� n'a pas r�pondu convenablement au-del� d'une certaine dur�e ou une connexion �tablie a �chou� car l'h�te de connexion n'a pas r�pondu.
cvs [server aborted]: Couldn't connect to lock server
Have you got an idea on the configuration error I've done (no solution found in the articles nor faq)?

Hello,
You can see checked out files when you use the Versioning Manager. Just expand the tree to see individual files and folders. It's always a good idea to do an update before you start editing a file in Studio Creator. The Merge Conflict Resolver is a a very useful tool when more than one developer is working on a file.
You can find a lot more about version control in the IDE's help files.
And by the way, your English is fine.

The answer is yes, both the portal and ECC support Russian and Ukrainian. If you check the Platform availability matrix, http://service.sap.cm/pam choose netweaver, choose the language tab then portal you will find russian available since October 2005 and Ukrainian since January 2008
As for ECC same link, choose ECC and then the language tab, Russian since October 2005 and Ukrainian since April 2008

It is not compatible. According to http://www.androidtabletspcs.com/10-LCD-Panel-Touch-Screen-1024-768-Android-2-2-Tablet-PC-B-pad103.html the device has an arm11 cpu which supports the armv6 instruction set. Firefox requires a cpu that supports armv7.

Yes the SAP system supports all the modules which you have mensioned above.So in order to integrate these modules u would have different steps to follow integration and also interfaces to carry. Yes SAP supports all the specified module integration. See to that the basis consultants and abapers set the interfaces and other settings correctly.

Can I use the PVDM2-12DM module for Out of Band Dial Up management of CPE routers. Dialing to remote connected modem with Call Back function.
