Upgrading CS5 Ex to CS6

I have CS5 and now that I have purchased Win8 have purchased CS6 upgrade. Can not proceed as message is that it does not recognise my serial numbers

I am replying to my own message. I have found out that my CS5 is a fake. The packaging looks good with holograms etc and has been purchased from a very large online company. I have been using it for over a year. It is only when you upgrade that you find out. The online company are looking into it.

I upgraded cs5.5 to cs6 because I switched the platform from windows to mac. i downloaded it and not while installing it says that the serial number isn't valid. is it because i first have to deactivate the program me on my windows pc? how am i doing that then? thank you!

So then this is the same as the original posters question then... You must request to swap platforms and you are not allowed to use the same serial number if your are changing from Windows to Mac?

Upgrade CS5 Extended to CS6 Standard Mac

Hi !
I own Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended for Mac.
I don't want to join Adobe Photoshop subscription CC, but want to upgrade to Photoshop CS6.
I'd like the standard version of CS6 - not the Extended upgrade as it's much cheaper.
Is it possible to buy / install an upgrade to CS6 from CS5 Extended ?

Since student versions are priced so low they have no upgrade route to another student edition. You can upgrade to a regular CS6 version.

I just upgraded CS5 Photoshop to CS6 and activated my software as I bought a new IMac. See below

Upgrading cs5 student to cs6

So 4 years ago when I was still a student I bought a cs5 pack but now that I finished my studies I wish to upgrade my photoshop to version 6.
I tried online but only said I wasn't allowed to.
SO... I can or I cannot?

This might be an obvious answer! But I have a full retail version of 5.5. A publisher I work for have started using CS 6 so I need to get it. But I need to continue using CS 5.5 as well for other clients. If I upgrade to 6, do I lose 5.5? Or do I need to buy the full CS 6 license? The issue is really with InDesign… I need to be able to use 5.5 and 6 depending who I work for… and they don't want to muck about with IDML files… just too much hassle.

Is the original 5.5 serial number applied to both programs… and both 5.5. and 6 can be fully used side by side? Or does 6 come with a new serial? I'm just a little unclear how the specific 'upgrade' license works and can't seem to find any info on it.
What I ideally want is to run 5.5. and 6 on both my Macs without paying the hefty price for the complete 6 suite - just the upgrade price (as I already own 5.5)

Well, I've read it's basically possible to upgrade CS5 Student to CS6 Retail (is it?).
But what happens if the languages are different? I have a german CS5 Student Edition, and I plan to upgrade it to CS6 Commercial/Full/Retail, but the english version (slightly cheaper): 65158519AD01A00.

CS5.5 to CS6 free upgrade - Why can't I get a disk?

I have been trying to convince someone in support at Adobe that we would like a hard copy disk of the CS5.5 to CS6 free upgrade, however they keep sending me a link to Creative Cloud even though I have talked to customer support until I am blue in the face that our IT department wants a hard copy to use for my download? We purchased the hard copy of CS5.5. Can I pay the $20 charge for the hard copy?

I purchased 5.5 and am looking to get the complimentary CS6 upgrade. Customer service for some odd reason do not want to discuss how to obrtain a disk. Last time they sent me a link to Creative Cloud ...... for what reason I do not know, except maybe this is where you can download from the internet. Our download is too slow and I need a disk.
