Upload PO text field

Hi all
I wanted to upload Material PO text in the materials master record.. What is the process for it. I tried LSMW but it is not showing the text data which i am entering in the PO text field during recording
Kindly let me know the other process for uploading the PO text field

if the text is not shown after an upload, then you probably missed the leading zeros of the material number.

Expanding text fields

I have inserted text fields, but they only allow a one line response. I was told to go to text fields, then format, then word wrap and then to put in total characters, but can't find any of those options. I was also told not to upload a pdf file to forms, but when i tried my document in word doc format it wouldn't let me select it to upload. I can make the fields in the pdf version, but none of these options appear. How do i set up text fields that allow for long answers, or alternatively, is there a way to make a pdf writable to someone can fill out a questionnaire?

If you asking about a text field that you create in Acrobat, you need to bring up the text field properties dialog and select the Options tab, and select the Multiline option. You can specify a character limit, but you don't have to. If you select the "Scroll long text option, the user will be able to input more text than can be displayed in the field at one time.

Expanding text field to allow for multiple pages

Disclaimer: Not a JAVA/programmer type. I typically Google things to death and try to learn from there. Created a form and followed some other's suggestions but I'm in a bind with expanding a field (text field) to allow for users to enter info and for it to print the full entry once submitted.
I changed the form to be sent using the email button to select recipients and as a pdf doc. I'd like to keep it this way. I created the form and didn't use a template. I just signed up and am looking for the button to attach the doc, created in Livecycle Designer ES with the hopes that someone could take a look at it. Can't find the attach button. If someone can provide their email address to take a look, that would be great.
Niall, I've been reading your posts and actually tried copying/pasting in one of your fields (re: subform as Flow, etc) but so far, no luck.
I selected all the usual variables for the subform/text box:
Allow Multiple Lines, Allow Breaks, Expand to Fit (Height).

Yes you can force the highlight colour on using the following script in the docReady event of the root node (normally form1):
app.runtimeHighlight = true;
You can also change the highlight colour, but this is a personal choice. Generally I would leave it at the default. This ways users are getting the same experience.
For the email submit, there are a couple of choices. If you use a regular button (instead of the Email Submit Button) you can script for custom recipients, subject line and message. There are examples here. You are probably better sticking with the example for versions of Acrobat/Reader v9 and below. You are looking for the last button. The script can be reduced to match your requirements.

If you want to share a form, you will need to upload it to a file sharing site, like Acrobat.com and then post the published link here.
You can use a regular button for the URL, so that on the click event the user is directed to Adobe's site:
app.launchURL("http://get.adobe.com/reader/", true);
Lastly you must Reader Enable the form before you send it out.

Create survey/poll with text fields

I want to create a survey in a meeting with text field type answers. How would I do this? I am using the hosted version of Connect and saw some reference to a Presenter add-in for PowerPoint, but don't seem have that. We would like to have fields such as:
Participant information (name, contact information
Suggested future topics
What should I use to do this since the Poll Pod obnly allows for multiple choice or multiple answer options and not key-in fields?

Adobe Presenter 7 is a product sold separately from Adobe Connect. Adobe Presenter can be purchased from many resellers. It is a plug-in for MS Powerpoint and has the ability to upload many times of quizzes and polls in lots of types of formats. You can download a 30 day trial from here:

Adobe Presenter is only available for the Windows platform. MS Powerpoint for Mac does not allow third-party plug-ins like Presenter.

Text Fields Not Showing in Design or Live View

Hello Everyone,
I have run into a problem trying to create a simple contact form through Dreamweaver CS6. I have two text fields for Name & Email, and 1 text area for Comments. The issue I am running into is that the text fields are not showing in Design or Live view. I have set-up all variables required for the server for the form to work... but that should not have any effect on the text field showing... I tried uploading my contact page with the same result of no text fields showing...
What is really laughable is that the "text area" I placed in my form for Comments shows up in Design & Live view just fine. I am thinking that I am missing something, but just do not know what exactly. The form is styled through CSS.

Are there other variables I should be thinking about in the rest of my site? I am using a fluid grid layout. I have CSS for desktop, tablet, and phone devices. I also have a primary CSS file that imports all three. The sites structure was done by using <header>, <article>, <footer>, and of course <div> tags.
Has anyone ever experienced the "text fields" not showing up before? Is it a simple fix as reinstalling Dreamweaver CS6? Finally, another thing I should mention is that I did have a previous version of Dreamweaver on my comp, which was CS3. I did not uninstall that before installing the newer version. I assumed (and I could be wrong here) that it would automatically replace the older version.
I apoligize for it being long winded, but I am looking for some help on this issue...

Ya I found what was blocking my text fields in my desktop.css
I primarily work through code view, and currently working on quite a few projects kind of makes your eyes miss the small errors.

Error While uploading Long Text for Operations in IA05 Transaction.

Is it possible to upload the long text through BDC or any bapi's which can be used for the same. Any configuration needed for this please do the needful.

correct me if im wrong, the long text is a multiline text, its an object for text, this cant be filled with BDC since this object can not be created in background mode, so i think the bdc skip the routines to fill this object, you can use the save_text function right after the transaction ends

I've modified the previous message with a correction that, I had used this for uploading Activity lines Longtexts.
One more thing: After I faced some problem, I used split text in the code. i.e., Splitting the longtext into several lines (72 char each). Show these code lines to your ABAPer, may be he might be able to draw some clues.
In the BDC lines alongwith other fields the gold line below
PERFORM FILL_BDC_DATA       USING ' ' ' ' ' ' 'BDC_OKCODE' '=MX07'.
PERFORM FILL_BDC_DATA       USING ' ' ' ' ' '   'BDC_CURSOR' 'QMICON-LTAKTION(07)'.
PERFORM FILL_BDC_DATA       USING ' ' ' ' ' '   'VIQMMA-MATXT(07)' FS_FIELD-MNTXT7.
PERFORM SPLIT_LONGTEXT USING COL_COUNT.
Code for Form SPLIT_LONGTEXT is attached herewith (MATXT1 to MATXT7 are longtext split into 7lines )

New Acrobat X / LiveCycle User - Cannot Freely add/move Text Fields - Why?

I have (what seems to me) an elementary question that I cannot seem to figure out.
I have a form that I created in MS Word with placeholders for fields such as pick-lists, text fields, or check boxes. Now that, to me, is not uuber fancy, but I cannot seem to add text fields freely in Acrobat X without the constraints of the rulers or grid lines limiting WHERE I can place my text box, etc. How can I change this? I created a form a few weeks ago and didn't recall having this limitation, but now I am whiule creating a different form. Any idea how to work around this?
P.S. I even tried creating the doc instead through LiveCycle, by uploading via the Word doc and editing from there, but I cannot seem to get LiveCycle to work at all. Everytime I select the Word doc to upload, the program stops responding and freezes. I am using LiveCycle ver 9.0.0.0.0 and X Pro 10.1.0

Insert JQuery .html into text field nested inside of symbol

This is one of those, 'it should be so simple....so of course, it's not' question.
Got a nested symbol. Rather simple one. Inside the symbol is a background rectangle and a text field. When I click a button, it should insert the HTML I give it from the click event.
Now initially I did this by just using the text field by itself. No nesting. This is the code:
sym.$("copy").html("Edge Rocks!");
OK, success! The text loaded just fine.
Now let's insert that text field inside of a symbol. And let's call that symbol 'content'.
Now I try....
sym.$("content").$("copy").html("Some new text");
Result? Nothing.
Tried using stage instead of sym and even added a var stage = sym.getComposition().getStage() statement before that. Nope.
Yea, they don't make it easy. So what's the solution?

Yes and no, Elaine. Kind of confusing but if the button is directly on the stage, that code works. However, if that button gets nested inside of its own symbol, the code no longer works and a JS error appears in console.
So in other words, the button and the text field are nested inside of symbols, but not the same symbol. So it's a question of the path being used.
I tried switching sym to Stage to no effect.

BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST long text field missing

I will have to transfer our vendor open items from v 3.1 to ERP 2004. I
am using <b>BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST</b> to upload these open items. However, I
cannot find the <b>'LONG TEXT'</b> field in the said BAPI. In using <b>F-02</b>, a
long text field/button is available. <u><b>How can i post an entry in the long text
field of the line item in f-02 using BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST</b></u>.
Also, i have used the extension1 table and a BTE (note 487722) in
uploading the posting key. Since field bschl is available in table
accit, there was no problem in doing this. However, i cannot seem to
find the field long text in this table. Is it available? If not, what
can I do with the above situation.

Excuse me! you can't use RFBIBL00, use the fm SAVE_TEXT.
After calling the BAPI you should have the number of FI document will be created and know in which item you need to insert the long text so:
THEAD-TDOBJECT     = <Object text>.
THEAD-TDNAME(4)    = <Company code>
THEAD-TDNAME+4(10) = <Document number>
THEAD-TDNAME+14(4) = <Fyscal year>
THEAD-TDNAME+18(3) = <Item number>.
THEAD-TDID         = <Id text>.
THEAD-TDSPRAS      = <Language>.
THEAD-TDLINESIZE   = 72.
These are the header data, transfer the text in LINES parameters.

How to set fixed size for inputfile text field

Hi all,
I am using inputfile component to test file uploading so I created a simple upload page. When I finished upload the file, the input text field will "shrink" its size and change the size to adjust the file name. Is there any way to set a fix size for input text field?

Text field overprints when printed - properties look OK - Help

I am having a problem with a text field in a form I created using Acrobat X Pro on a PC running Windows 7 Ultimate.
Document was originally created in MSWord 2007 and then converted to the form using the Form Wizard. I have the font selected as helvetica auto-size, but problem exists even if I change font size to 10 or 12. Everything in the text properties looks OK.
The form looks fine on screen, but when I go to print it the text either does not use the full field length and appears to be all scrunched up with letters on top of each other as though there is no kerning space between the letters.
First screen shot is of screen view. It looks fine. Second screen shot is what is looks like printed. Note, this is not a problem with my HP printer, as it happens even when I print to PDF.

Upload images & database fields at the same time

ASP VSBasic dreamweaver 8
I can browse & upload 2 images to the server using
aspupload (browse to
images click upload)
I can populate the MYSQL database using text fields &
recordset (enter data
in fields press save to upload)
I now need to work out the following on one button click
Browse & select first image
Browse and select second image
Pass the image paths to 2 text fields
upload the images
update the database
I end up with 2 images saved eg (C:\temp\image1.jpg &
C:\temp\image1.jpg)
A record in the data base with
Time
Date
"Path to image 1"
"Path to image 2"
The reason for the above is to keep the end user interface as
simple as
possible therefore the risk of them sending the wrong data is
reduced

I'm not sure uploading several files at once is possible. I have yet to see anything like that.

Placing cursor in text field using AS3

I am a newbie to actionscript 3.0 and need a litlle help that I have not been able to find searching (for two weeks).
I would like the cursor to appear and blink in the first text field in a movie clip that gathers information to be sent to a php. The following does not work.
stage.focus = textField;
textField.setSelection(textField.text.length,textF ield.text.length);
And the only other things I find are for custom cursors. I just want the visitor to see the blinking cursor in the firstName_txt input box when the page appearss.
Also, if the visitor tabs from one input text field to the other, the blinking cursor appears in the first three input text fields but not in the fourth. Yet, the visitor can enter text in the fourth input text field.

I have tested by clicking crtl+enter and uploaded the files to my isp for testing. Neither effort is successful.
BTW, thanks for helping and I am sorry about the cross posting. My bad. I didn't realize there was a section for actionscript at the time.
