Upload times out

Hi
Thanks in advance for your help
I am trying to upload a csv file (about 5000 rows and 30 columns ) into a database table by using the Upload tool. I can see the data in APEX with the mapping but when when I hit "load data", it takes like 2 minutes and displays a time out error message? How can I fix that?
Thanks

Hi Fiston,
What oracle DB version are you using?
Which browser are you using?

Photos will not upload and the server times out.

    Well, two thoughts.
The battery has completely discharged and will take overnight to recharge, so don't expect much in an hour.
The battery has deep discharged and is now dead. It will never recharge and should be replaced.
If your iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad is Broken
Apple does not fix iDevices. Instead they exchange yours for a refurbished or new replacement depending upon the age of your device and refurbished inventories. On rare occasions when there are no longer refurbished units for your older model, they may replace it with the next newer model.
You may take your device to an Apple retailer for help or you may call Customer Service and arrange to send your device to Apple:

There are third-party firms that do repairs on iDevices, and there are places where you can order parts to DIY if you feel up to the task. Start with Google to search for these.
The flat fee for a battery exchange is, I believe, $99.00 USD.

  • File Upload extension that doesn't time out?!

Can anyone recommend a good File Upload utility that won't
    time out on a
    shared server? Ideally ASP/VBScript.
Restrictions on our shared server mean that we only have 15
    seconds to
    execute a script.
My concern is that this just isn't going to be possible on a
    shared server
because if someone wants to upload a 3MB image then it's,
    naturally, going
to take more than 15 seconds.
    Would appreciate any advice, thanks.
    Regards
    Nath.

This is not a script issue, but a server issue. You would
    need to talk to
    your host.

  • Safari times out when uploading. Is there a fix?

I'm a fan of the Safari webbrowser, BUT, for years it has pained me that it times out when uploading multiple images. I have scowered the internet in hopes to find a solution, but I find only third party plugins that don't look like they are from reliable sources.
Chrome and Firefox can sit there and upload for any period, but Safari just stopps after 10-20 images, sometimes less. It seems more time dependant than anything else.
I worked for tech support for a big company. We used to get loads of calls about this and we were instructed to tell people to use Chrome or Firefox.
Why has it been so many years without a native fix? Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have a simple fix or a plugin from a reliable source?
    Many thanks,
    Tom

    Hi Carolyn,
Thanks for your reply. My upload speed is 0.85Mbps.
I'm sure this is not the issue however as it has been the same since I lived in Sweden with 100/100Mbps. When I worked at my old job with over 2 million customers uploading across Australia I would just have to advise all mac users to use another webbrowser because of this issue.
    Kind Regards,

  • Time out problem while uploading large bpel processes into oracle soa suite

    Hi everyone,
I'm using oracle soa suite 10.1.3.4.0 and I'm encountering time out problem while trying to upload a 5MB bpel process into my bpel process server located in the LAN network. The error is coming from apache common file upload.

    Thanks for any help.

  • When I try to upload attachments bigger than about 800k Firefox times out but IE works ok

I have used Firefox (on a Dell PC Win XP) for years with no problems but over the last few months I have been unable to upload anything except the smallest attachments to Outlook webmail. Usually anything less than 800k will work but even then I get a time-out message ocassionally. I have stopped trying anything bigger. When I try IE it always works so it seems to be the browser. Also, I use Mailbigfile to sedn PDFs as big a 80mb with success. I need help or I will have to desert Firefox.

    Hello,
Could you please try testing this with Firefox in Safe Mode to see if the issue still appears? See here for instructions:
[[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]]
If the issue does not appear in Safe Mode then continue to follow the instructions to identify the setting or add-on that is causing the problem. You will disable them all and re-activate one by one, testing along the way, to find the culprit.
If the issue still appears in Safe Mode then I suggest trying a Firefox Reset:
[[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems]]
This will return Firefox to its default settings. Your personal data (bookmarks, history etc) will be saved but you will have to reinstall your add-ons.
I hope this helps. Let me know what happens.

  • Cant upload website - times out on different % every time.

    Hello,
I have had a lot of trouble this past week in uploading our company website, the only changes made have been to our pdf catalogue download. Every time i try to upload it eventually times out between 60-90% and i get a [421 error] message - there also seems to be no pattern on a specific file it gets stuck on and i have tried 20+ times! . We have other websites with the same hosting company and they upload fine so i assume i can rule out that the hosting is an issue.
I began as usual by just selecting to upload modified files and even when i do this it seems to still upload the whole website, i have tried the option to upload the whole website but i get the same result. I have gone back and tried to upload old versions of the website and was surprised that these do not work either..?! I have tried even moving my folder that contains all my website uploads so that it would unlink from the website and trying to upload without all the files and this doesn't work either. I can upload to business catalyst and i can export to html.
I unfortunately haven't been able to update Muse since last year as our operating system is outdated and the newer versions wont support it (i have asked for a newer computer at work but no luck!) although i doubt this is the problem as i am still able to upload our other websites!
Does anyone have any suggestions? (in simple terms please!)
    Thanks!

    Hi Eliza,
Can you try uploading the website using Passive mode from the options?

  • How to increase the web session time out for FDM While data uploading.

I have very large data files of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss. These are taking very long time while being loaded through FDM. Kindly let me know of the following:
1 - How can I increase the time for "web session time out" in FDM; and
2 - What is the standard data loading time, e.g. how much time should it ideally take for approximately 1,000 lines to be load in Hyperion.

You supposedly feed it a (undocumented) parameter, -rxidletimeout, with the time in seconds, at startup.
app.serverSettings.sessionTimeout will report back whatever value you fed it. However, in my experience so far, the timeout is somewhere around 30 seconds no matter what value you feed it. I might be doing something wrong.
I currently have a ticket open with Adobe support about this very issue, but it's slow going. I'll try to update you with whatever I find out.
I'd love to hear whether anyone else has this working.

  • Time out error on Report builder

    Hello,
There is a report I built that pulls a lot of data understandably.
However, when I run this report, it times out. I have set the time out value to be 0 and it still times out.
The only error it brings is that, The operation has timed out..
    Please help

    Hi sanjb12001,
As per my understanding, you created a report, when you run the report with report builder, you got the error message: The operation has timed out.
The report server does not limit the size of a report definition. However, ASP.NET imposes a maximum size for items that are posted to the server. If we upload or publish a report definition that exceeds this limit to a report server, you receive an HTTP
exception. To solve the problem, we can set the executionTimeout to 3600 (seconds) and set maxRequestLength to 2097151 in the httpRuntime tag of the web.config file(location: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\ServerInstance \Reporting Services\ReportServer)
    like below:
    <system.web>
    <httpRuntime maxRequestLength="2097151" executionTimeout="3600"/>
    </system.web>
If the problem remain unresolved, i would appreciate it if you could give us detailed error log(default location: %programfiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\<SQL Server Instance>\Reporting Services\LogFiles), it will help us move more quickly toward a solution.
    Thanks,

  • HT3771 set up for printing with HP Designjet 500ps (Using Mac os 10.4.11 Printer is set up correctly showing on Mac-Updates installed but still won't print-Printer shows TIME OUT)

Set up for HP Designjet 500ps using Mac os x 10.4.11 Does any one know where to upload
Leopard os x 10.5 The printer will not print until I have the updated software. Ebay sell the
disc on their auction site, but only on disc not a download which is more convenient & faster
to get in a hurry. The software installed in the mac is working the way it should & showing up
as it would but it seems as though there is a driver that's needed. The results in any articals
that I have read suggest you don't need any drivers if you use HP EasyPhotoSoftware installed.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We're users here, not "Apple Inc."
You might have better a response to your questions by posting them in the OS X 10.4 Tiger forums: https://discussions.apple.com/community/mac_os/mac_os_x_v10.4_tiger
    or in the PowerMac forums:
    https://discussions.apple.com/community/desktop_computers/power_macof
This forum is for OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. Since that version won't run on your PowerMac, you're not likely to get many helpful responses here.
In any case, I'll try to offer some basic troubleshooting suggestions:
The PS designation on your printer denotes the PostScript printer language. Is your applications software and current printer driver configured to send PostScript (or HP-GL or HP-PCL or ???)
Does ANY application print anything (even gibberish) to the printer?
HP still shows a DesignJet 500 series raster driver for OS X 10.4 Tiger available to download here:

Does the printer time-out with every program, or just one? Have you tried another cable?
OS X 10.5 Leopard is no longer sold by Apple. It was never sold as a download, sold only on CD/DVD disc. Discs might still be available for purchase on eBay.
OS X 10.6 "Snow Leopard" is the oldest version of OS X still sold by Apple, and it too is available ONLY on CD/DVD for $20, but it will not run on your PowerMac, because Snow Leopard requires an Intel processor: os x snow leopard requirements
HP DesignJet 500 basic printer documentation is available as a pdf document and downloadable file here: http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/public/psi/manualsResults?sp4ts.oid=2 5301&ac.admitted=1391720518005.876444892.199480143
How is the printer connected to the computer? Are you using a USB interface, a Centronics 'Parallel' interface, or a JetDirect network interface?
It appears that the network timeout default for the printer was 30 minutes, but it can apparently be set in the range of anything 30-seconds and longer. The manual notes that some software does not send an 'end of job' postscript marker, so that is the reason for the time-out setting.

  • Connection to server times out

Hi, I know I've seen somewhere that you can set how long before your connection to your remote server times out in DW. After a few minutes of editing files, and then when I go to upload them to my host, It takes forever just to make a connection. I used CS3 for a while, then upgraded to CS5. CS3 didnt seem to have this issue.
Another issue I seem to have is when I DO put files to my remote, sometimes the files dont seem to reflect changes I made. For instance, I added an id attribute to a firm field, uploaded my file to the remote, hard refreshed my browser viewing the same page and viewed source. The form field id was not there! So I clicked the expand local and remote files button and pulled the file over to the remote manually!
Maybe these are issues with my hosting company? Anything I can do to ensure my remote connection stays connected, at least for an extended period of time if not indefinately. Thanks in advance!

Hi Nancy, thats for the tips and info. I've tried most of what you suggested. One thing I never thought about though was toggling passive mode on and off. For some reason I just always assumed this should be on by default. So I will try that and see how it goes over the next day or so.
Also the FTP optimize performance was checked. Seems like I had an issue with this a while back, so I unchecked it as well.
Now the other issue of why updated files arent showing up on my remote. Yes I always use ctrl+F5 to refresh my browser. Again, this morning when I did that very thing, and then viewed source, the updated code was not there. The code I am referring to was about 20 lines of javascript that was showing in dw code view, but not in ff source view. So not sure about that one. As you said its possibly my host provider. Thanks again!

  • Maximum number of pages in Chapter? iBA crash and time out issue.

    Hello,
I'm trying to put together a book with roughly 17,000 pages where each page is a single full page image displayed inline and is between 2 and 3 kb.. Preferably these would all be in a single chapter, but I run in to issues with this at around 2,000 pages. iBA will crash and when I try to reopen the file it will either time out or take several minutes.
Dividing my book in to chapters with around 250 pages each keeps iBA from crashing, but unfortunately the chapter structure doesn't make sense for the book.
To try to help iBA to run smoothly I've right clicked on the application icon, selected "get info" and then checked the box next to "run at low resolution". I've also disabled the display of thumbnail previews of pages in the app.
Is there anything else I can do to make iBA run faster? (Can I allocate more memory to it somehow?)
Is there a way to combine chapters?
Also, if anyone has ideas of ways to structure my pages that might use less memory than displaying my images inline, I'd be open to hearing that too.
Any help or suggestions are very much appreciated.
    Thanks

A finished, exported iBooks file to be uploaded to the store...is limited to 2 gigabyte file size..whatever your content.
If your computer is running slow, you need to close all applications not needed.
Also when creating a large book file, its advisable to create chapters individually...giving a more manageable work file.
Create a master template  and open..save the book as a master copy and save it. Open a copy of..the master copy snd name it ..say Chapter one...and repeat as needed. when done, copy the chapters from 2 onwards into the chapter one book, if needed, drag and drop the chapters up or down the tree to get the right order.

  • FTP Time Out - Cannot Open Remote Folder

I am using Dreamweaver CS3 and windows Vista.  I have set-up site definition (with user id and password) and used to be able to connect to the remote server, open remote folders, and upload and download files using Dreamweaver.  However, all of sudden I cannot open the host directory remote folder where all of my website information are, It just times out.  I can connect to the server, if I don't specify the host directory.  I changed FTP time out in dreamwever to increase ftp time, but still it times out.  I used to be able to open the host directory without any problem, and I have not changed any information in site definition. I have tried to use fireFTP, and I can connect to the server but cannot open the the host directory, same as in Dreamweaver.
Other pople working on the same website, with same site definition with the same user name and password can connect and open the same host directory remote folder using Dreamweaver on their pcs without any problem.  So it seems like the problem is with my pc or Dreamweaver setting, even though I have not changed any settings.
Does anyone know what would be causing this problem and how I can resolve this issue?  Thanks.

I found out that the remote folder which I can't open (host directory) contains many wmv video files, which might be causing the problem of timing out using Dreamweaver on my PC.  Other people can open the same folder using their Dreamweaver on their PCs.
I can connect to another remote server and open all the folders in Dreamweaver without any problems.
Is there any settings I can change in Dreamweaver or on PCs to resolve this issue, or any other suggestions?  Thanks.

  • Crystal Reports 10 report will only run scheduled in BI. Times out in BI Viewer

    To all:
We just updated our Crystal Enterprise 10 to BI and are very new to the BI enviroment.  I uploaded a Crystal Reports 10 report to BI to run in Crystal Reports server 2011.  The report runs in CR 10 in about 45 seconds.  It has a TimeDate Parameter you must enter that is used in about 10 formulas in a group footer.  If you try to run it in BI viewer, it times out in about 30 minutes, basically never completes. If you schedule it to run "now" in the BI scheduler, it finishes in about 45 seconds just like it should in viewer.  I believe it has to do with the DateTime Parameter and it's use in the formulas.  Anyone have an idea what I need to do to get it to run in the viewer?
    Thanks in advance

    Scott,
As this is happening within Enteprise (and I am assuming the report does not time out in the Crystal Reports Designer) I would suggest posting this to the BusinessObjects Enterprise Administration
    forum.
My limited Enterprise knowledge would be to suggest scheduling the report as PDF but I don't know if that is a viable option for you.
