Uploading excel files from ITS to sap

Hi all,
I want to upload excel files from ITS to sap system ECC 6.0 .I am using standalone ITS.Someone please help me find a solution for this.What are the steps involved in it?

Hi Shinu,
this seems to be a misunderstanding. The ITS does not have excel files.
Did you mean to say that you have an application which allows to upload
files? This application might work using the webgui service of the ITS.

Now I am able to get into SAP screen. However it's not opening the t-code that I mentioned. I gave some Z t-code ZTEST. Once I check the iView, it is showing SAP screen with the below things:
Service Type:
Service ID:
TCode: ZTEST
Object Type:
Key:
Field 1:
Val. 1:
Field 2:
Val.2:
Field 3:
Val 3:
And at the bottom it's giivng a warning message:
Object type or object does not exist
Message no. 1W001
In iView properties I can see Object Type as com.sapportals.portal.iview. Is this the same Object Type that the message is talkign about? Can you please help me out?

Error while uploading mpp file from OPENPS to SAP PS

Hi,
I am trying to upload project .mpp file from OPENPS to SAP PS with following feild:
ID, Description, Task calander, Start Date, End Date, Object type
but at the time of uploading it showing error:
1: E CN194 The stauts could not be created while creating network.
2. E BS001 No status object is available for wbs #
3. E CN068 WBS element control area is not same as network control area.
Kindly sugguest me to resolve all these issue.

Are you creating new project or updating existing project ? from error it seems to be you are trying to update the existing project you are trying assign the network to WBS which are not having same controlling area and user staus is active.
Please check your .mpp project data.

Error message while upload excel file (with macro) to sap (iw28)

While upload excel file to sap through iw28, i get error message (vb)
u2022 i have to say that the excel file contain macro , with out the macro , work fine .

Uploading PDF-file from unix to SAP internal table

Hi,
i have to write an abap that sends a pdf-file from a unix (SAP server) by mail to some people.
The mailing part is done, but for creating the attachment. I'm reading the pdf-file into an internal table (in a binary way). Then i'm using this int.table to send the mail.
The email is sent with an attachment, but i cannot open the pdf-file because of an error ( file damaged ). So before sending it by mail, i'm downloading the pdf file to my pc by using WS_DOWNLOAD with the same internal table. The download file gives the same error.
If i look at the size :
- originally pdf file 71743 bytes
- resulting pdf file 71665 bytes (281 lines x 255)
The creation of the internal table is as follows :
open dataset g_file for input in binary mode.
check sy-subrc eq 0.

Upload a File from ITS

Hello,
We are triying to upload a file using a template from ITS. We have read a lot of post about FM WS_UPLOAD, GUI_UPLOAD....We are triying with class cl_gui_frontend_services, method gui_upload. From SAP R/3 using SapLogon, the method works propertly, but from ITS (WEB), we obtain a page from service saplsit1 dynpro 100, with a text like "Wait, Automatic Redirection...." without any button or status and the process stops.
Any idea?,

We have load the applet in dynpro saplsit1 100 (technical resons). The applet ask us to open the file
"C: ile.xml", we repond "Yes", and then the applet show us a message "File can´t read". Maybe we have a security problem, to access to our hard disk, but how can we configurate this ?.
All replies are wellcome, we´ve got a big problem with this situation...

Upload and save an Excel file from a local machine to SAP

I am looking for a transaction which allows me to upload an Excel file from a local machine to SAP and save this file (the users should be able to edit the file in SAP afterwards).
Then I would like to open and read the data from the file with the help of a function module which works as a background job.
Unfortunately, I cannot use the application server because our users do not have the authorization to save files on it. Besides, the application server is not able to process Excel files.

You can do this using OLE technology. Bu you will have performance issues.
Can you check the below demo programs? It has similar functionality. I am able to create excel sheet from sap and also able to save the data in the sap.

ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE. But it is going to dump n the error is

Currently we uploading a file in CSV format but now we want to upload using XLS also.

while searching the forum i found the fm MS_EXCEL_OLE_STANDARD_DAT .
but while using this FM i am getting the exception file not exist.
Kindlu suggest what to do
i even tried the FM TMP_GUI_GET_FILE_EXIST' to check the existence of the file.
even then same problem.

Scheduled jobs are the jobs for which we have scheduled for a time, may be daily so that each day the scheduled jobs will trigger at the time given.So that every time u need not to trigger the job manully urself as the schedule time will hit the job will trigger itself.
Released job means the job which is in between Sheduled state and active state.say For eg: 10 jobs are Scheduled in a queue Job no 1 is released from the queue that means any moment it will be in active state.So it is the state between Schedule and Active state of a job.

Unable to export report to excel file from SAP

Hi all,
I have a problem to download data from a report. The XL gets downloaded in a different format than my colleague.
We are using the same XL version but two weeks back the SAP GUI 730 got reinstalled to my machine and since then the problem
started.
Can you please confirm is there is any particular user settings for this?
I have login in any different working ( SAP Export ) machine with my login ID and Password and try to export the report to excel file from SAP, and I have same issue . Same we have requested another user to login in my machine with their ID and Password and check the same, They have tried and its working for then in my machine.

Execute report>
Right click anywhere in the report output and select Spreadsheet.
A pop up box will appear, select which export option you would like to use and click green check.
NOTE: If you don't see this option then goto Settings>Switch List then try above said.

I am getting error while uploading excel file into SAP using the function module 'TEXT_CONVERT_XLS_TO_SAP'.
Error Message is UX(893) - 'Excel file & cannot be processed' .

1 .TEXT_CONVERT_XLS_TO_SAP Funtion module will work if you have installed Microsoft Excel at front end.
2. Whenyou declare internal table for upload, specify the char only in the strcture ,don't specify any data element or dictionary reference.    If the data element and dictionaly reference is character field then its ok.
eg.
types:begin of st_data,
           field1 type char15,
           field2 type char23,
          endif.
3. Close the excel before you upload

After uploading an excel file from Windows XP, impossible to read the file anymore

Hello,
I uploaded an excel file from my Imac to the Icloud. I could use it on my Ipad through Numbers without problem. I went on my laptop running with Windows XP, I didn't see the plugin to install, so I didn't do it. I download this excel file and worked on it. When I uploaded again this file, I could see the letter E written on the file on the Icloud, but impossible to download it and work on it anymore from any of my devices. I installed the missing plugin on the laptop but still, no improvements.
Any suggestions ?

=>In SAPGUI release 6.40, one can directly attach the excel to test configuration.
=>In SAPGUI 6.20, read the excel using function module
'CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES=>GUI_UPLOAD' in ABAP-ENDABAP block. Find the count of lines. Using DO-ENDO loop using the count of lines as counter, assign the current set of data to transaction.
