Hi!
You might try out to upload the file, through the stadard transaction SE78.
You can upload not only BMP, but TIFF file format here. When you are looking for the file, just set the file filter from BMP to TIFF.

Raj.

    Hi
You can upload logo using SE78 or using program RSTXLDMC
    or by using OAER
    Steps for uploading Logo :-:
    1. Goto the transaction OAER
    2. Enter the class name as 'PICTURES'
    3. Enter the class type as 'OT'
    4. Enter the object key as the name of the logo you
    wish to give
    5. Execute
    6. Then in the new screen select Standard doc. types
    in bottom window
    Click on the Screen icon
Now, it will ask for the file path where you have
    to upload the logo
    7. Now you can use this logo
To create a logo in SAP printouts just do the following
    1. Save a Logo using Imaging, Paint shop Pro or Corel Draw as Tiff file.
    2. Run program RSTXLDMC and enter the following parameters
    Enter file name C:\COMPLOGO.TIF
    UOM CM
    Line width for text 132
    Text name ZHEX-MACRO-COMPLOGO
    Text ID ST
    Text language = E
Number of Tiff gray levels (2,4,9) 2
    3. Then Create a new window 'COMP' with attributes;
    Window COMP description Company Logo
Left margin 7.00 CH window width 10.00 CH
Upper margin LN window height 8.00 LN
Finally in the text element, mention
/: INCLUDE 'ZHEX-MACRO-COMPLOGO' OBJECT TEXT ID ST LANGUAGE 'E'.
Please note that if object name is not indicated as 'ZHEX...’ the logo may not be printed!
You will not be able to see the logo in a test print. The same will be printed in actual printout.
    SMARTFORM
    1) In Smart Forms Editor, In left pane, right Click any Page (say Page1) and select Create -> Window, Give it a name and Description (Say Window1)
    2) Right Click on Window (Window 1) and select Create -> Graphics, Give it a name and description
    3) In general Attributes, Select Name, get search help (F4) , you will find a list of pictures
    4) Select any picture and set its Resolution in DPI
    5) Press F9 to open Smart Forms Builder, Select window (Window1) and In Output options window set, size and position of the Logo
    6) Set any other parameters if required, save and activate.
    7) If there is only 1 Window in the forms, set it as Main Window in general attributes.
    8) Use TCode SE78 to upload new pictures and logos.

  • Viewing tif files in Preview, Dropbox

I've created two image files in Photoshop, removing hidden layers, merging layers, and then flattening the layers, saving them as tif files. One is about 4 MB; the other is about 24 MB.
The 4 MB files shows up fine in QuickView and in Preview; the 24 MB file shows up with a white background and one element from one of the layers.
I've also tried this saving the 24 MB tif file in layers, preserving the alpha; same result.
Uploaded to Dropbox, both tif files show up with only one layer visible, even though the file has flattened all the layers!
Thanks for any help you can offer sorting this out. I'd like to be able to view the 24 MB tif file in Preview.

Since you can open the TIFFs on a PC, then there must be something wrong with Preview on your Mac. You can use Pacifist to extract the Preview application from your original OS X installation CD/DVD. Replace the one currently on the hard drive.
But there's quite a few other apps that will open a TIFF. Photoshop, Graphic Converter, InDesign, Quark and Illustrator to name a few. There's a bunch of free and shareware viewers you could download here.

  • Cannot Open TIF file in LR3 but no problem in Photoshop CS5 or PE9 or any other software

Hi - I have a folder with about 300 tif files provided by someone else (I have no idea how they were produced). They use LZW compression and most of them are under 1mb in size.
I can open them in Photoshop CS5, PE 9, Paintshop Pro, Irfanview, Picassa, etc. without any problems.
When I try to import this folder LR3 gives the following message "The file appears to be unsupported or damaged".
    I have uploaded a sample file http://www3.sympatico.ca/david.broughton/sample.tif
While I have worked around this by using Irfanview to do a batch conversion to jpg (the resulting files are successfully added to the catalog by LR3), I am hoping to understand this issue a little better to hopefully avoid it in the future.
    Any insights would be welcome.
    Thanks

The file should be called RT_sRGB.icm so you can search your hard-drive for that.
If you cannot find it, then you can download one from the RAWTherapee Google Code repository.  Here is the branch for the RT color profiles.  After you click on the profile you want, you can see various bits of information about changes, but to download the file, itself, click the “View raw file” link at the lower right:
    http://code.google.com/p/rawtherapee/source/browse/rtdata/iccprofiles/output/
Once you have the file, right-click on it in Windows Explorer and choose Install Profile, which should copy it to the standard location of:
    C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color

  • Lr Mobile 1.2.1 does not recognize .tif files added to iPhone 6 + iOS8 Camera Roll

I use an app called ProCamera 8 to save images taken with my iPhone 6 to uncompressed TIF files or TIF files with LZW compression.  The problem is that Lr Mobile doesn't see any kind of TIF file in my iPhone camera roll at all.  I've tried to:
Save the photo taken by PC8 directly to the camera roll
Save the photo taken by PC8 to it's own "Lightbox" folder, then export it to the camera roll.
Manually import the TIF files that appear in the iPhone's camera roll using Lr Mobile's Add From Camera Roll command. TIF files in the camera roll don't even appear in the list of photos!
None of the above methods will get a TIF file into a Lr Mobile collection.
If I repeat the process with JPG files, everything works as expected, and all 3 methods listed above will get the JPG images into LR Mobile.
I think this is a bug (and a serious one) because TIF files in Lr Desktop that are added to a collection that is synced with Lr Mobile appear Lr Mobile on my iPhone immediately.  So I know that Lr Mobile supports the display and editing of TIF source files.
Until this is fixed, is there a workaround possible?
    Thanks,
    Jeff
EDIT: The native Photos app in iOS 8 displays all of the TIF files correctly.

The latest update to Lightroom Mobile now recognizes Tif files. Strangely, in the import window they show up with with a RAW label on them but, once imported, the metadata labels them as tiffs. This made me wonder if LR mobile also now supported actual RAW files. Alas, a quick test proved this to not be the case.
That said, this is pretty cool news for those who take pictures with their phone's camera. I too use a camera app that allows me to save images as tiff files. Now these files can be imported to LR Mobile and edited using the array of tools found there. I've always liked Lightroom's superior versions of tools like Clarity, Highlights, Shadows, Whites, and Darks but found them of little use on Jpgs, due to the smaller amount of data they contain. While Tiffs aren't quite as info packed as RAW files, they are a huge step better than jpgs.
One slight caveat which, depending on your outlook could be either a good or bad thing. When you save a tiff file from LRMobile it automatically converts the image to a jpg and reduces the image size to around 63% of the original image (the native size of a photo taken with my iPhone 6, 2448x3264, is reduced to 1536x2048). At first I was rather upset with this, as far as I can tell, unchangable automatic action. However, after thinking about it a while it occured to me, that for my use of LRMobile at least, it is not such a bad idea.
FIrst let me say that I do not see my iPhone or my iPad Air as optimal photo editing devices. For serious editing I'm going to use my computer hooked up to my calibrated 27" NEC monitor. However, for doing some quick fixes/adjustments on iPhone snapshots this makes complete sense. Most other mobile editing apps only support jpg as do most of the major social sharing sites on the web. A smaller sized image, and it's inherrent smaller file size, is also better for emailing, sharing on websites, etc especially if you are using cellular data to upload with. Admittedly I would have prefered the option to save as either a tiff of jpg and also the option to select  the image size, but overall this "feature" is OK with me. As I said if your usage of LR Mobile differs from mine you could well be holding your head in your hands moaning by now.
While I'm still waiting for the ability to edit keywords and other metadata, the thing that would make LR Mobile an essential app for me, this addition of tiff support has actually gotten it out of my "Archive" folder and back in to use.
PS: one thing that has always worked well is the sync between devices (internet required) so it is geeat for getting your phone photos onto the your iPad.

  • Tif files will not import with the same filenames as the .nef files

When I work on a .nef file, say x.nef, Lightroom 1.0 will allow me to export the x.nef as x.tif to the same folder as the x.nef file resides, but obviously I need to import the x.tif file into the folder for it to show up in LR When I try to import the x.tif file into LR it shows up the the file list OK. When select it and try to import it I get a message telling me that I can't import it as the file x.nef already exists. I didn't select x.nef but x.tif. It will allow me to import it into a different folder, but that is not what I want to do. i need the keep the relevant net and tif files with the same name in the same folder.
Adobe tech. support suggested; reinstalling, trashing the LR preferences folder, making new databases. None of these solved the problem. In LR beta 4 I could save import tif files with the same file name the .nef with no problem, but not in LR1.0.
Using Win XP Pro SP2. Pentium P4 3.0 with 2gig ram.
Has anyone else had this problem. Any assistance appreciated.

I agree (Adobe) that first the concept that michael.nef and michael.tif and michael.jpg are different files needs to be changed.
A duplicate is a file that has the same filename and extension and the same content measurements.
Under the above concept or any concept, ignore duplicates should bring in any file to LR with the same name (contents and measurements) and different extensions.
I do edit in NEF (more now if I use LR instead of PSE5), do save to PSD, and do save to L/F JPG. If I had to layer in PSD, then I use that for printing, otherwise LR. I always have to make large jpgs to upload to web printing sites, and even small jpgs (now we have the same name and extension (but the measurements would be different) to email. Yes, we do keep copies of an image. I can see where I might want to have the edited .NEF and the PSD in the lib to view, cuz they may have different edits on them.

  • PS7 - tif files squished upon opening.

File>Open an existing tif file and it opens squished.
    Can't figure out.
    Is there a settings option?

The forum won't allow to upload a tif.
The files display correctly via Windows Photo Viewer, but soon as opened in PSE, the file is stretched vertically, skewing the image.

  • How to enable TIF file preview?

    Hi
I want to see Tif files preview like Jpeg files in my doc.
    How I can do that?
    Thanks

    Hi Entezari,
Thanks for posting your query, If you use a picture library or asset library instead of a document library for your tiff's SharePoint will automatically generate a preview image for your tiff. Then you will be able to click on the enlarged versions of the tiff
directly in the browser. You can also upload the dwg files in a picture library or asset library.
Also, browse below mentioned URLs for more details on this

  • DMXzone Smart Image Processor .tif file issue

I'm using the DMXzone ASPupload & smart image processor.
I'm having an issue creating thumbnails from .tif files. All other
formats work well. I've tried using the the server component that
came with the product, the .net component, and ASPupload component.
    None seem to work.
    I REALLY NEED HELP!

You are correct. The DMXzone smart image processor will
upload the .tif, then resize it and convert it to a .jpg file. The
.tif file is stored so that you can download it by clicking a link.
