Urgent----OC4J Hanging After every 4-5 Hours

Respected All Oracle ADF Users,
I Have Developed very large ADF (ADF BC Swing) Application i.e. One ERP Product, It Contains 300 Application Modules (Forms). I deployed this Application as EJB Session Bean on standalone OC4J which is on Fedora Core 3. There is Very Huge Data Entry, Data Fetching through this Application. (Daily 100000 Records Insertions)
Now problem is, when I start OC4J it goes fine for next 4-5 hours, but after 4-5 hours it get hang or my application get hang .if I restart my OC4J then it will run fine for next 4-5 hours and after 4-5 hours again it hanging ,so in a day I have to restart OC4J 4 times.
So I can u tell me
1) Is OC4J not support such kind of large application?
2) Weather I have to go for Oracle Application Server?
3) Is there any kind of setting needs for same problem?
4) Is this an Operating System Problem?
5) Is this a Server Compatibility Problem?

I ran into a similar problem running an application server instance on a SLES 9 machine. My application was much smaller than yours and it turned out that I was forgetting to release a connection to an LDAP server from Java code. So, I suggest you have a look at all suspicious bits of code first.
Regarding the going to Oracle IAS, I would certainly advice you to do so.
Finally, a last piece of experience that I can share with you is that before getting SLES I used to run my application server on SuSE 8.2. While all the required packages were there the ias instance appeared to use all the available system memory. The issue was resolved until I finally installed the Oracle supported SLES.
If you like the Red Hat "look and feel" but still don't want to get a Linux that requires subscription like Oracle EL, why not try CentOS (www.centos.org) which appears to be a very good Red Hat clone.

ResultSet "hangs" after every 10 records

Please could you somebody help me.
I have extracted a ResultSet from a database which contains between 100 and 200 records (5 field each).
If I call rset.next(), printing a count after each call my program hangs for about 2 minutes after every 10 records.
For example:
int count = 0;
while(rset.next()) {
System.out.println("" + ++count);
Prints:
1
2
3
4
5
6
7
8
9
10
Waits here for two minutes and then carries on
11
20
Waits again for 2 minutes etc.
Has anyone had this problem or does anyone know how to fix it?
FYI: prstat reports tiny CPU and memory usage so the hardware is not responsible.

It must be network - setFetchSize is unsupported in both Statement and ResultSet in the driver set I am using.
It is running through a 10baseT switch at the moment which may be the problem so I will stick it on the backbone and try again.

Machine hangs after every 30 min

I have lonovo notebook,and am facing strange problem. the keyboard ,tap pad and pointer becomes unresponsive after every 30 minutes and i have to restart it to start work again. Also, it takes more than 5 minutes to start.
I called the lenovo the support people, but the support guy was extemely rude and un-coperative and thrice cut the communication without any reason, any help, and information. Twice he hanged the phone telling that my warrenty period is expired. ( i have purchased it just before just 6 months).
I dont know now what to do, as am tired of the machine's hangs and restarts.
and am too much unhappy with the kind of after-sales support division of lenovo. Its very frustrating and i would never recommand anybody to buy lenovo.

Keep Activity Monitor open (or some other monitoring utility) and see what happens to your free memory while you're working in FCP. If it is all being depleted you may want to get an app that frees up memory. I can't recommend one because I just use Terminal and find does an OK job. However, there have been several threads about this where users have recommended specific apps. They should be findable with a search.

OC4J:BC4J;JSP;OC4J hangs after refresh

Hi All,
I've deployed my JSP-aplication which uses BC4J. The BC4J are deployed as plain jar-files. Everything runs well, until....
When i click my refresh-button in my browser several times real quick OC4J will hang! When I start a new session on a diferent machine I won't get any output from OC4J. I've to stop and startup OC4J to get it working again.
This is really a big problem since we have to move to production ina short time.
Is there some setting in OC4J where I can catch the request if they are made in a short time (< 1 sec) within the same session and ignore them ?
Does someone know any other solution for his problem?

Thanks for your answer. The synchronized-block in my jsp solves the problem. But it only works if I make the entire JSP synchronized. Can you tell me what the drawback is, if I have my JSP synchronized (if there are any) ?

Compressor hangs after 94% complete, 28 hours "Error: unrecognized request"

After 28 hours I realized the job was hung. The last good log entry before the errors seems to suggest the the job was done anyway. Is this a correct assumption?
The compressed file "seems" ok to me so I duplicated it in case Compressor wants to throw it away when I cancel the job.
Can I use the file I duplicated or could it be bad?
Can I avoid this error in the future?
I was using the standard H264.LAN setting with audio disabled.
Here is a snippet of the log -- the "error" log entry is repeated about 100 or more times.

I confirm I have the same circumstance with compressor via QMASTER with either local or distributed vitiual clusters.
In varied cases, the output from the transcode is usable..
Saftey first - more often than not the transcode output is OK IF the QMASTER VIRTUAL cluster is localised on the same host and not distributed over other hosts.
FWIW: the transcodes using compressor only always work when there is only one instance running. Simply this is when compressor submits the work to "this computer".
However in this workflow, the downside is that the compressor transcoder does not utilise the cores. On this dual quadcore octo, each core is bout 20%-30% used. Again reaosns for this are documented by APPLE and also people on these forums I believe.

Yosemite on 2010 MBP hangs after an hour

I had a troublesome upgrade to Yosemite on my 2010 MBP with a custom 128 GB SSD installed. I had to abort installation and then recovered from that by reinstalling OSX via recovery mode. Now everything works fine except for the fact that the system freezes (spinning beach ball, can move windows, cannot access force quit or change focus) consistently one hour after boot. Even after several hours nothing happens and the only option is to hard reset. Booting in safe mode has the same effect.
This is obviously pretty frustrating, especially since there seems to be nothing indicating any problems in the system logs, and after a forced restart, no crash report is generated. I don't know what happened for the user in the linked thread, but our issues seem quite similar - what could this be? Some kind of daemon blocking after one hour? If you're running "Cocktail," or anything else that periodically "purges" memory, remove it according to the developer's instructions. Back up all data before making any changes.
If you're starting up from an aftermarket SSD that you or a previous owner installed (not an original-equipment SSD installed at the factory), check the manufacturer's website for a firmware update, and if there is one, apply it.

We've an article that provides the following troubleshooting steps that may help stabilize your iPhone.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let it charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.

Try:
- Another cable
- Another USB port
- Reboot the computer
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer

Exchange 2013 disconnects externally after every hour but works fine internally

I have a very strange problem in my office. At the new years eve, there was a disconnection in our Internet from our ISP and everything came back online again after 1 hour. before this happened everything was working fine such as externally all the mobile
devices were able to connect to exchange 2013 and event owa was working fine and laptop devices as well. All was good, but once the disconnect happened, i am only able to access my emails over 3 G connection but not over the ISP connection, what i mean from
that is that if i try to connect to owa or my outlook from home DSL connection i cannot connect but with my 3g connection on my phone i can connect and everything works fine. i have re issued the certificates and installed them again, but still the same thing,
after every hour or sometimes less the exchange 2013 sort of disconnects and starts working when i restart the CAS server where the traffic is routed to.
Has any one faced this issue, please help, i was thinking that something wrong with my firewall as i was not even able to connect to my ssl vpn so i thought that firewall is culprit, but i have replaced the firewall as well and still the same issue.
Please help, i am trying to troubleshoot this problem since last 10 days but with no luck.

Have you checked the network settings? Do you have multiple network adapters? May be DNS related also. Check, if you have configured DNS correctly.

You don't say which version of the database you have - this the 9i docs, but the 817 docs are also on OTN. Besides, I don't think DBMS_JOB has changed much.

Linksys WRT54GS Ver 5 needs reboot every 10-12 hours after wiring it to LG BD590 Blu-Ray

Had this router hard wired to a desktop - everything has been fine forever. Moved it so I could hard wire it to the Blu-Ray player for watching Netflix, etc. Everything works. Except the Router needs to be rebooted every 10-12 hours. Unplugging it for 30 seconds works. The router seems to be working, but the wireless signal to the other computers in the house, although showing strong, will not connect to the internet, Router is getting its internet straight from the Comcast modem. I have the latest firmware installed in the router. Any ideas greatly appreciated before I throw this thing out.

Try to re-flash the firmware on your router.
Connect the computer with the Ethernet cable to the router.
Download the latest firmware from Linksys website and save it on your computer. Open the setup page of the router. Click on Administration tab and go to Firmware upgrade sub tab. Browse the firmware file that you have already downloaded and upgrade it on your router.
After upgrading the firmware on the router, it is recommended that you should reset the router and reconfigure it. Press and hold the reset button on the router for 30 seconds. Release the reset button and wait for 30 seconds. Power cycle the router and reconfigure it.
Also try to change some advanced wireless settings on the router. Click on Wireless tab and go to Advanced wireless settings. Change the Beacon interval to 75, RTS threshold to 2307 and fragmentation threshold to 2306. Save the settings.

I've same problem in iPhone 5c. I was using iPhone 4, problem appears after updating to ios7. I changed my phone to iPhone 5c, looks like it's a bug in ios7. But I think you might not turn on or off your internet connection frequently to reduce this problem. My friend has a same iPhone she never gets such problem like this cause she uses iPhone 5c with Tata Docomo (India) 2g with no internet connection. May be this would be the best solve that you should not turn on or of your internet connection so frequently...

Yes it is possible,
1. Go to scenario, right click on scheduling and click on 'create schduling'
2. give the neceessary information for agent and context
3. select execution type as daily and enter 12.00 am
4. click on Execution cycle, select 'Many times' , enter, maximum cycle duration = 24 hours
interval between repitition 2 hours
And save
