Hi Guys
I gone through the Doc ID 761570.1
And I have chosen to follow the PATH -C Which has two down times.
In the first down time planing to Upgrade the Database.
But.......
I had a question..
My current database is running on 32-bit. Target Database is planing to use the 64-bit
Will my application support.......
By keeping the application tier on 32-bit as it is and Upgrading the Database to a 64-bit 11gr2

Oracle E-Business Suit Upgrade from R12.0.6 +10.2.0.3 to R12.1.3 +11.2.0.2

Dear Experts,
Let me update you that one of our client is looking to upgrade their Oracle E-Business Suit Verion from R12.0.6 to R12.1.3. and database version from 10.2.0.3 to 11.2.0.2.
Current all the financial and SCM modules are implemented on there production instance.
We would like to know what are the pre and post upgrade activities needs to be performed ?
What are the list of patches which needs to performed while doing an upgade from
R12.0.6 to R12.1.1 - R12.1.3.

R12.1.1 to R12.1.3 upgrade high level steps
Install upgrade / EBS Patch
Pre-install R12.1
1. Setup hardware.
2. Install and setup OS.
Install R12.1.1
3. Install R12.1.1 (run Rapid Wiz)
Post –Install R12.1.
4. Upgrade Opatch in 10.1. home
5. Upgrade /patch OAS 10.1.2.3 (inc in R12.1.1)
6. Redeploye forms.ear
Pre-install R12.1.3
7. Upgrade OPatch in database home
8. Upgrade OPatch Database in 11.1.0.7
9. Upgrade OPatch in 10.1.3 Home
10. Upgrade /Patch OAS 10.1.3.4 to .5
11. Upgrade Java to 1.6_0_17 or lower
Install R12.1.3
12. Apply EBS R12.1.3 maintenance pack

It is needed as some steps will be applied if it is upgraded from 11 to 12..
here is the output :

Migrating Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10.2 from Linux 32-bit to Linux 64-bit

Hello Experts.
We have to do R12 upgrade.
Currently:
database (11.2.0.3) running on RH5 64 bit
apps (11.5.10.2) running on RH5 32 bit (separate machines, of course)
Plan:
migrate db and apps tiers to separate 64bit RH6 machines
then migrate again to a shared machine
then upgrade to R12
I know that 11.5.10.2 is not supported on 64 bit so is this plan fatally flawed, or is it do-able?

You are right, Oracle EBS 11i is not certified on Linux 64-bit for the application tier node -- Frequently Asked Questions: Oracle E-Business Suite Support on x86-64 (Doc ID 343917.1)
You can lay down R12 apps tier node directly on 64-bit Linux since it is certified and continue with the upgrade.

Upgrading oracle database 9.2.0.5 to 9.2.0.8 for Oracle E-Business suite

I have applied patch to upgrade Oracle E-business suite(11.5.10) database from 9.2.0.5 to 9.2.0.8. but after applying patch also it showing 9.2.0.5. please help me.

server OS is windows server 2003 std. i have performed following steps
1.     First I installed 11.5.10.2 Technology Stack Validation Patch (Revision 1 July, 2005) on both application (D:\Oracle\visappl) and database (D:\oracle\Visdb\9.2.0) home. (p4318672_11i_GENERIC.zip)
2.     Then I review the html log file generated for both the home. Html file generated for oracle home with ALL PASS status. But html file for DBMS oracle home has return FAIL status. I review the reason in txkVal11510MP_DB.html. it gives me following reason to fail
“11.5.10.2 requires that your Oracle 9iR2 database version to be 9.2.0.6.0 or higher on Windows platform. Please refer to Oracle MetaLink Note 216550.1 "Oracle Applications Release 11i with Oracle 9i Release 2 (9.2.0)" to upgrade to the latest certified version of Oracle 9iR2. After upgrading to 9.2.0.6, you must apply 9.2.0.6 patch 5 ( 4287598 ) before upgrading to 11.5.10.2. “
3.     I went through the Metalink Note 216550.1. I refer Section 2 of it. I applied patch 5035661. when I applied this patch , output of this patch mentioned that OUI 2.2 is already installed on both the Home.
4.     Then I applied 9.2.0.6 patch 5 (4287598). Prior to this I applied patch 2617419 because patch 4287598 require OPatch 1.0.0.0.52.
5.     I performed patch 4287598 post installation task also. I didn’t apply windows patch 6, because my database was not showing 9.2.0.8 as required by windows patch 6.
6.     so this is the complete task list I have done to upgrade database from 9.2.0.5 to 9.2.0.8

Upgrade Oracle E-Business suite 12.1.2 to 12.1.3

I m having problem with upgrade to Oracle E-Business suite 12.1.2 to 12.1.3. (can’t find the proper patch set read Doc ID 1080973.1) currently we are running with two application servers which is having shared APPL_TOP and one database server which is having standby server on maximum performance mode. For authentication purpose we are using Oracle SSO with Windows Native Authentication (WNA). Please find the following details for product versions.
E-Business Suite :- 12.1.2
Database :- 11.1.0.7
Ias_version :-10.1.3.4.0
Really appreciate your advice.

URGENT : JDEVELOPER 10.1.3 and customizing Oracle e-Business suite

URGENT: Can any one advice me with any pointers on how to open/customize the Pages (Oracle e-business suite pages related Developer 9.x ) using JDeveloper 10.1.3 (ADF framework).
1. JDeveloper 10.1.3 supports JSPX and other pages and deploy those pages into server. Where as JDeveloper 9.x stores those pages in Database (for Oracle E-business suite) as Regions.
But, Oracle always provides backward compatibilities. So, how can we change these JDeveloper 9.x JRAD/AK Region pages using JDeveloper 10.1.3 (AD framework)?

OAF is different than ADF, Oracle E-Biz pages are still in OAF, even with Jdev 10.1.3, they are not in ADF.Thanks

Now I want to install RAC for it.
So is there any way we can convert existing database to database with RAC ?
I know how to convert it for Oracle 9i database, But for E-Business suit is it something different or same ?

Oracle E-Business Suite integration is failing with OSSO

We are integration EBS 12.1.1 with OSSO 10g (OID 10.1.4.3) using txkrun.pl script. This is a production environment and has 2 nodes of OID and 2 nodes of Database in RAC mode. When we run the txkrun.pl script we are getting the below error:

If you are running Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.1 and integrating with OID 11g, you will also need to download and install TXK patch 7651166, which provides several fixes to Applications Technology code, including an update to the Oracle E-Business Suite OID registration scripts that adds support for OID 11g. The patch should be applied to all Oracle E-Business Suite middle tier nodes. This patch is not required if you are integrating with any other version of Oracle E-Business Suite.
