URL for accessing 1.4 server remotely

I want to access my newly installed 1.4 Enterprise Server. It is running on Windows 2000 Pro. I currently have to use //localhost:8080/ at my IE browser.

Your computer recognizes "localhost" as a term (a URL) that points to an IP number, "127.0.0.1" These are only valid in the local machine.
The same 2 things, IP and URL, identify your machine to other machines and the Internet, but they have different values. These values are usually assigned by the Internet provider you use. They are the values that are used by someone wanting to send information to you.
For you (at your machine) to access the server that's running on the same machine, you use localhost or 127.0.0.1
For someone at another machine to access the server that's running on your machine, they needs to use the URL or IP that identifies your machine to the Internet.

The csv files I want to use are in the directory /data/oracle/OracleBIData/idc to which I have set up a working and checked connection ([idcbicsvfiles]) on the linux machine itself.
The error message I get when I select view data in the physcial layer is:
[NQODBC][SQL_STATE: HY000][nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred.
[nQSError: 43093] An error occurred while processing the EXECUTE PHYSICAL statement.
[nQSError: 16023] The ODBC function has returned ans error. The database may not be available, or the network may be down.
Please can anybody give me a clue on how to get this working e.g. a working odbc.ini file from your own installation (and/or a tip for the odbc driver choice/configuration)
P.S. I know this is not supported by Oracle but can not imagine, that nobody is using this.

User used in SAP for accessing to unix server

I'd like to know where is configured the user into SAP for accessing to UNIX.. i mean, in my understanding when a job is created into SAP for running a script located into server unix, Sap has to login to unix and it has through and user id, where is configured that ...
the case in question here is the following ..
we are testing the sent of infomation ...
1.- user creates the information from sap and it is delivered into a folder
2.- the owner of those files is a strange user into the server where they were delivered.
3.- this means that that user does not exist into the unix server where were delivered the information ...
i'd like to know, where is cofigured the user into SAP for accessing to unix to deliver the information ...

Hi Daniela,
User is <SID>adm user, it's SAP Default user for communicating to Unix or any OS. When you install the system, <SID>adm is the adminstrator user.
For the 2nd item it is strange user, it could that the folder it is creating files might not the local file system, it is from diffferent server NFS mounted to this server. If the other system doesn't know about the <SID>adm it keeps a stange user as owner this files.
Even though that strange user doesn't exist, as long as your <SID>adm user has write access to this folder,it will create the file. But owner can be different.

If RFC for TREX is working fine and catalog replication log shows successful, clear TREX cache bfore logon to shop.
Step1: http://<ip>:<port>/b2b/admin/index.jsp
Step2: Application Cache Statistics
Step3: TREXNameServerCache
Step4: Clear
Step5: Logon to shop
Note: if you want to see the replicated product catalog data use report TREX_RFC_AE_EXAMPLE

Need Help Accessing OS X Server Remotely

I just did clean install on Mavericks on my mac mini 2012
and installed OS X Sever 3 app
I have host name from dyndns when I enter my host name from remote IP or phone
I get router login page, I want to access web app running on server

every time I type mini$%#@.selfip.net from any device it jumps directly to port 80 and goes to router login page

same ports were open in 10.8 and I could access web apps remotly but now no matter what port I change my web apps
it doesn’t connect.

You can't do that. "SuperDuper" doesn't work over a network. "Carbon Copy Cloner" does.

Two Urls for the same portal server

I have to access the same portal server for the two diffent url links.
This is required for me to have two different logon pages for the portal for completely different urls.

your one URL is
x.hostname:portno/irj/1stURL
and the second URL is
x.hostname:portno/irj/2ndURL
and maintain two umLogonPagedefault.jsp with names,
umLogonPage1stURL.jsp and umLogonPage2ndURL.jsp and do the necessary coding you want inside the JSPs.
Now, umLogonPage.JSP is the JSP file responsible for determinig your portal URL to open when user wants to enter into portal. So Open that JSP(umLogonPage.JSP) and do like this:::

Why do I need to install RSAT on Windows 8.1 for accessing Hyper-V Server 2012 R2?

Since Windows 8.1 has Hyper-V Platform and Hyper-V Manager built in to it, if I just enable the Hyper-V Manager on my Windows 8.1 client machine I should be able to access the standalone Hyper-V Server 2012 R2 (which I'm planning to install on my 2nd machine)
right?
Then why every article I found on this suggests to install RSAT on my client machine?

Architectural Choice for accessing Coherence Cache Server

I am a newbie and have a coherence use-case question.
When accessing an independent coherence cache server from application code such as an EJB deployed in WLS, architecturally does one write up an entity which is then used as a sole point of
access to the resource (coherence cache server) for querying, adding, modifying entries or are the accesses to the coherence cache server split and spread among the application code.
For example,
1. I write an EJB (EJB 1) which recieves the request from other EJB's (EJB 2, EJB 3), EJB 1 runs requests from EJB2 and EJB 3 on the Coherence Cache Server and acts as the sole point of
contact to the resource.
2. EJB 2 and EJB 3 both run requests against the coherence cache server. No fixed entity in architecture repsonsible for interaction with Coherence Cache Server.

     router > ASA5515(ver8.6) > 4 SGE2010p switches
I want to put the guest WiFi users on a separate network. I have layer 2 switches and want to configure the ASA5515 as a 'router on a stick' setup for the guest vlan to have access to the DHCP server on the native vlan.
I have
1. created a sub-interface for the inside interface and enabled intra-interface traffic.
2. A static route on the ASA point the guest network to the switch.
What else do I need to configure on the ASA for inter-vlan routing?

I am having trouble setting up the trunk ports on the layer2 SGE2010P switch for trunk port.
I am used to command line layer3 switches (CLI is wasy) but not familiar with these switches GUI. I am going through the config guide right now.
Could you help me with that too?

How to access OEL 5 server remotely using x-windows

I use Reflections X or X-deep to remotely access several unix boxes from my desk instead of from the server. I am having some issues getting xdmcp or gdm setup so I can do this with a new server running OEL 5. Does anyone know how to configure the server to accomplish this?
I have done the setup on several rhel 2 - rhel 4 and OEL 4 installations but it appears to have changed in OEL 5.

Figured it out, too easy. Go to system - administration - login screen. On the resulting screen go to accessibility and enable accessible login. Go to the security and users tabs to choose who and how. Pretty slick.

What is the url for Financial management web server?

I am trying to create a hfm application and I was asked to prpovide the hfm web server url. What is the financial management web server url? Could you help me in finding this url. I am using Hyperion version 9.3.1.

We're invoking the BPEL endpoint from a .NET app using the 'endpoint location' but seemed to be forced to use the embedded version number. For instance we have to say 'http://<server>:<port>/orabpel/<domain>/<process>/1.0' and I can't seem to get rid of the '1.0'. This contrasts to the WSDL location where I can use a browser and remove the version number to get the current default.
Am I doing something wrong? I'd like to avoid embedding the version in the endpoint.

To access a journal, users simply need to add something like this "ezlibproxy1.ntu.edu.sg" to the URL. There are lots of automatic ways to do this, including zotero, but probably the simplest is to use a bookmarklet, eg:

If there was a "bookmarks toolbar" on fennec, then I think I'd be able to click on the bookmarklet to modify any URL. Sorry if this already exists and I have missed it. Is there an alternative way to achieve this? It would save me a lot of time!

You can try using "goLiink" and then use the property targetFrame set to "_blank"; below are some for ur references:
targetFrame
_blank: The link opens the document in a new window.
_parent: The link opens the document in the window of the parent. For example, if the link appeared in a dialog window, the resulting page would render in the parent window.
_self: The link opens the document in the same page or region.
_top: The link opens the document in a full window, replacing the entire page.
