URL Not Changing . . .

I've posted on this before, to no avail. However, now I am
experiencing the same problem that only my client was experiencing,
so I have to ask again and hope for the best.
The problem here is that the URL is not updating when I
switch from page-to-page on my website. For instance, when I type
in www.realpracticesinc.com/temp, my URL Bar reads "
http://www.realpracticesinc.com/temp"
Then, if I click on say "Corporate Overview" (or any other
link for that matter), that page loads, but my URL Bar still reads
http://www.realpracticesinc.com/temp"
I can click on other links, and the pages will load, but the
URL Bar remains the same, never updating as I navigate through the
site. Then, if I try to refresh a page, it loads my index.html page
again rather than the page I'm on!
Does anyone know what I've done here to cause this to happen?
I've recreated the problem on both a Mac and a PC (in Safari &
Explorer respectively).

i think the problem is you seem to have a frameset, though it
doesn't
look like frames. but when i looked at the page source, this
is what i get:

if you use framesets, the url will only display the name of

Color of opened document's url not changing (visited color)

Hi guys,
Just like a visited url is presented with a different color in browser, i want document links in my SharePoint libraries to take a different color when a user clicks on them so that later on the user can easily distinguish which documents he/she has already
opened. At the moment, i see all document links in the same blue color.
The browser in question is IE8 and I have already tested with disabling the option "Use Windows colors" in Internet Options. Any other suggestions.

You should be able to override the css by
a:visited{<value>} or td.classname a:visited{<value>} it depends how
the style looks like.
a:link { color:#FFF; }
a:visited { color:#000000; }
IE Developer Toolbar is a good tool to gain the css style.

URL Not Changing Session State Variables Specified

I am trying to change a variable on a target page with a URL, however, the variable never changes. The variable is set to 8. I send the following URL which should change it to 0 but it does not change.

SharePoint Workflow Manager email urls not changing

Hello Experts,
I have created workflow using VS 2013 in SharePoint 2013 using Workflow Manager
every thing is working fine .
but over due e-mails of Task assigned shows url in the form of servername like http://servername/...
i want to show FQDN.
server is on Production so can not create new web app .
Please help . i have already changed default zone url to FQDN.

URL is not change after successful authenticate with ISE 1.1.1

I have setup Cisco Identity Service Engine (1.1.1) with Wireless LAN Controller (7.2.110)
Everything is complete unless the URL redirect. My guest client can join the Guest SSID and also can authenticate to ISE.
But after they success to authenticate with ISE, the URL in the browser doesn't change to the pre-configure. It still be something like https://ise-ip:8443/guestportal/redir.html . Anyway the content in the browser is changed to the URL that being configured such as http://www.google.com/
How can I do with this situation cause everything is working fine but only the browser URL that is not change to the preconfigure one.

Http redirects not changing url in address bar

I'm going crazy trying to fix a major bug in our application. Http
redirects are not changing the url in the address bar of the latest versions of internet explorer. But this only happens if the redirected page is an xml page with an xslt reference for the browser to do the transformation. Mozilla seems to work fine, but I seem to have encountered a major bug in Internet Explorer. If anybody can help or at least point me in a direction I'd be SO grateful. This doesn't seem to be a java servlet specific issue, but that's what we're using so I thought I'd ask the question here too.
We have an MVC type framework we developed. For example, if you were to add something to a shopping cart, the url might be:
http://ecommerce.com/cart/add?sku=54321. In the add servlet, we would add the sku to your shopping cart and then redirect to, let's say,
http://ecommerce.com/displaycart. I think this is how most MVC frameworks work. And it works great for us.
The problem began when we started sending XML to the browser with an XSLT stylesheet. So now the browser does the transformations (if the browser is capable of doing them, which we check) instead of the server. This is a major part of our project. One of the reasons we started this.
The problem is that Internet Explorer no longer updates the url in the
address bar after a redirect. Mozilla works great though. We haven't
tested on other xslt capable browsers yet. In the example above, what would happen is after adding something to your shopping cart, the "displaycart" page would be shown but the http://ecommerce.com/cart/add?sku=54321 url would be shown in the address bar. It wouldn't seem to be too big of a deal since everything works. But now all the relative links are messed up. They start from the "cart" directory. So we need absolute links. But that introduces many other problems. We then need to know the host and the parent directories (not as easy as it seems).
So is there a solution? Is this a big bug that nobody has realized yet (or maybe they have, but my searches don't see it) in internet explorer? Is there a way for the redirected url to appear in the address bar from a browser-based xslt transformation in internet explorer? By the way, I'm testing with the latest version of IE6.0 as of July 7, 2003.
When testing, redirects work perfect if I do the xslt transformation on the server side and just send plain html to internet explorer. And it works perfect with either serverside or browserside xslt transformations in mozilla.

As I've been reading in the specs, microsoft, etc, it seems that it's not what's supposed to happen. But the specs are not very specific about this. However, internet explorer DOES always replace the url in the address bar with the redirected url if HTML is being returned from the redirected servlet. As is the case with all other browsers. So, at least, this behavior is the de-facto standard.
BUT when the redirected to page is an xml page which references an xslt stylesheet.. then, ONLY in internet explorer, the original url is what's shown in the address bar (and, more importantly, what's used as the base url). Regardless of what the links look like or how they're manipulated in the transformed HTML that ends up being shown, I can't seem to make the url in the address bar the redirected url..

Content-Length header not changed after url-rewrite... yields cut page.

We use iPlanet6 ,service pack 4. The pages that return from the servlets are
changed by the Application Server. The Application Server adds
GXHC_GX_jst=901a10a6662d6164& to the all the URLs (which increase the
page's size). The problem is that Application Server does not change the
Content-Length header in the servlet response. This yields cut pages in the
browser (IExplorer5).
If we don't add the Content-Length header it works fine. (I.e., The pages
are not cut.) Our problem is that we work with mobile devices that must have
the Content-Length header to work properly.
Q: Do you know if there is a patch that fix the problem?
Q: Is it possible to configure the Application Server to prevent this
url-rewrite?

Safari 5.0 - URL does not change when changing location

I have noticed this on two Macs running 10.6.3. When moving between pages (eg, clicking on a link within a page, or using the Google search bar to locate and load a new page), the URL in the address bar does not change to the new location. It remains at the

Specific test: Load http://news.bbc.co.uk in Safari. Towards the top left of the page, there's a link to the BBC home page, which should appear in the status bar as "http://www.bbc.co.uk". Clicking on it will send you to that page, but the URL will remain as the news subdomain. If you click to another tab, then click back, it'll then update correctly.

MIght be corrupted Safari pref files.
Go to the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari/Preferences. Make note of all the preferences under each tab. Quit Safari. Now go to ~/Library/Preferences and move this file com.apple.safari.plist to the Desktop.
Relaunch Safari and see if that makes a difference. If not, move the .plist file back to the Preferences folder. If Safari functions as it should, move that .plist file to the Trash.
If the problem persists, go to ~/Library/Caches. From the com.apple.Safari folder move the "cache.db" file to the Trash. Relaunch Safari.

As long as there are no confounding factors, such as certain extensions, or a user.jsfile the procedure is as follows
# Open a new tab and type "about:config" in the address bar.
# In the Search bar type: "newtab"
# Locate and double click "browser.newtab.url"
# In the "Enter String Value" box change "'''about:newtab'''" to "'''about:blank'''" and click OK.
# Verify that the value has changed and now all new tabs will be blank.

Have to say that I rather agree with Mark..all we want is a simple, unadorned clean page that doe not track and show usage!! WHY NOT!! Module pool Image is not changeing

Are you sure about your FTP credentials (FTP folder and site URL) that you are using for the upload? Are you able to see the updated files in the remote directory of the FTP server, after you finish uploading the muse file, using an external FTP client like FileZilla?

MobileMe Gallery URL Not working

All of my MobileMe Gallery URL's in iPhoto do not work and contain '(null)' as in:
http://gallery.me.com(null)/username/100016
If I remove '(null)' it works fine. Anyone else have this problem?

First delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder, republish the galleries and see if the URL gets changed.
If not create a new gallery with the same photos from one of the existing galleries, name it the same as the old one, delete the existing gallery and publish the new one. See if that will generate correct URLs. The URL may change so you may have to re-announce it to your friends.

Button not changing in frame 3

I have made a button with sound and a text that I want to change after the user clicks on it. In the button-symbol I have one layer for sound and one for shape. When the user click the sound is OK and the link to the URL I have stated is opened. Fine. But the button do not change as I drawn it in frame "down" in the four-frame timeline - I want the button to have another text when clicked.

if you're asking how you can make your button stay in the "down" frame until another button is clicked, you can't with a true button. you must use movieclip buttons.

External Hyperlinks Will Not Change after Publishing

Hi - I'm running the most up to date iWeb and trying to publish external hyperlinks that will not change no matter what I do. They do not overlap, there is no image blocking them, and I have checked and rechecked that they work on iWeb perfectly. I have tried saving each update individually with the inspector, publishing each update individually, re-entering each url then tab or enter - basically everthing suggested on these forums. The site is scullyfilm.com and the external links are to my pages on my squarespace site.
Any ideas?

It's very simple to do and it's virtually impossible to do it wrong.
Here's how I did it.
Went to Squarespace :

Right-clicked a link and copied it :
In iWeb, selected a button and made it a hyperlink. iWeb automagically places the copied link in the URL field :
Repeated for other 3 links.
There's currently ONE hyperlink on your page (last updated 20140113) :
http://scullyfilm.com/scullyfilm/HOME.html
and it links to :
http://scullyfilm.com/casting/
which does not exist.
