US PY - Indirect Evaluation Module

Hi Expert,
Could you explain me about Indirect Evaluation Module in WT.
There are some features assigned to it and also some variant.
Can you help me to understand the core concept and use of Feature and Variant and why and how are they used?
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Sejal

Hi Sejal,
Indirect evaluation module:
Name of a module that valuates wage types according to certain criteria. The following descriptions of the diverse options can be used for wage types in the following infotypes:
Basic Pay (0008)
Standard Wage Maintenance (0052)
Recurring Payments/Deductions (0014)
Additional Payments (0015)
For some modules, the type of valuation depends on the specification of the module variant.
The following indirect valuation modules are available in the standard system:
TARIF
PRZNT
SUMME
UNITS
CONST
ARBPL
ANSAL
CHSTD
EXPAT (only for Management of Global Employees)
Define valuation of base wage types
You may have already defined indirect valuation for certain wage types in the step " Check wage type characteristics".
Depending on which module you use for indirect valuation (see documentation on the Module name field), you need to define additional procedures to ensure that indirect valuation functions correctly.
Example
In the Basic Pay infotype (0008), an employee has the wage types 'standard pay' and 'standard bonus'. You also want to assign to your employee the wage type 'percentage bonus' which should be x% of the sum of the first two wage types.
You have defined the module PRZNT for the 'percentage bonus' wage type.
In this step, you must define the wage types to be used as the basis for calculating the percentage bonus.
Requirements
The wage type catalog and wage type characteristics must be defined.
Standard settings
The standard system contains some models for valuating basic
wage types.
Recommendation
Read the documentation on the Module name and
Module variant fields in the section entitled "Check wage type characteristics".
Activities
1. Delete any entries that you do not need.
2. Create new entries based on your requirements and the definitions in the step "Check wage type characteristics"
a) Name the module that you want to use.
b) Enter the wage type you defined in the 'Check wage type characteristics' step.
c) Number the wage types which are to be used as the basis for indirect valuation.
d) Define the validity period.
e) Define base wage type(s) for indirect valuation.
f) Specify the percentage rate for weighting the base wage type.
I hope it helps you!!!!!!!!
Thanks
Cheera

  • TARIF - difference between Feature and Indirect Evaluation Module

    Greetings,
What is the difference between feature Tarif that is used to default payscale area /ps type and Indirect eval module used for wagetypes ?
How is this used, applied ?
    Thanks
    AP

    Ms Datar,
Well described, Thanks. Understood that Valuation module for wage type has nothing to do with Feature Tarif.
However, I also found Indirect Valuation Module called TARIF with variants -A,B,C, D.
    TARIF
Valuation according to the "collective agreement group and level" specifications you enter in the IMG step:
    Module variant 'A'
Country grouping derived from the employee's personnel area
Pay scale type from infotype 0008/0052
Pay scale area from infotype 0008/0052
Pay scale indicator derived from the employee subgroup
Pay scale group from infotype 0008/0052
Pay scale level from infotype 0008/0052
    Wage type = SPACE
Therefore, now i understand as : Feature Tarif defaults Payscale values in IT8 .
and Ind Val Module Tarif ( A) reads the payscale values in IT8 and leaves the wagetype blank with no amount ?
    Is this correct ?

  • Indirect Evaluation Module

    Hi Experts!
I have a situation and maybe somebody has done something similar and can help me:
In IT 0008 I have a Standard Salary and a Bonus. The bonus is not given monthly but at every three months. At every three months the EE receives something like this:
    Procent of realization * (Bonus1StdSalary1Bonus2StdSalary2Bonus1StdSalary3)/3
where Bonus1...3 and StdSalary1....3 is data from IT0008 for every previous month.
Can you give me a hint? I know that there is IT0014, but there the indirect evaluation is done at a particular month and I need to evaluation indirect based on the previous three months, because the Standard salary or Bonus from contract might change during these three months.
    Thanks and best regards,
    Rares

    Hi Rares,
creating Bases for calculating averages: Average calculation basses are created for each employee in each payroll period. wage types to be included in the calculation bases are collected in buckets( Tech Wage type /201- /231) and then cumulated, and then u can cumulate the no. of working hors or the amount or rate of the wage type .
Av calculation bases is therefore a sum of wage types that are transferred and stored ina Tech wage types
hope this will give u an idea
    Reward points if helpful

  • Very Urgent...Indirect evaluation symbol 'I ' in basic pay infotype..

    Hi Friends,
what is the meaning of 'I' in IND Val field ,which comes with some wagetypes only, in Basic pay infotype.
If 'I' is there in the field it is not storing the value in a table so there is a problem with the calculations for some developments.
how to restrict that 'I' in basic infotype ?if we restrict that will there be any effect in the other areas?
    very urgent..appreciate any help..

    Hi Nandita
'I' means indirect evaluation of the amount for the wage type. So, if you enter any value, then the amount limit will be computed from using IT0008 or IT0052 and checked with the value entered and 'I' will be removed. If you do not enter any value, then the amount for this wagetype will be computed by SAP function module.
You can check the table T511 and for Wage type where MODNA is not initial are indirect wage types.
    Thanks

  • Basic /12 through indirect evaluation

    Dear All,
    My client have a scenario.
Medical amount is 1/12 of basic pay.  Both Basic Wage and Medical Wage and entered in Infotype 0008
In infotype 0008 basic pay when Medical wage is entered system should calculate 1/12 of basic
    eg.
Basic pay 150000     Medical amount should be 12500
Basic pay 5000          Medical amount should be 416.67
    tried indirect evaluation.
Through Define valuation of base wage types we can only use percentage. and if 8.33 percentage is used
the medical amount values will not come accurately.
Do we have to use user exit or Badi. Is there any other way to address this
    regards
    KMP

    hi
you can do the INVAL using Badi , wrtie a custom In direct valuation module it will work.

  • Eliminate indirect evaluation from it0008

    hello,
is there a possibilit to get rid of the I in it 0008 and to store the former indirect evaluated values in it0008 as if they where entered without indirect evaluation.
background: we have to do massive changes in our tarif-structure. if we maintain the new, the now indirect evaluated entries will be changed and the ee will get other payments - what not should happen.
    any advise?
    thx
    andré

    Hi,
    WT1 --> Amount
ans: if is direct here you can use module TARIF variant A
    for your information
TARIF: module uses pay scale data that it takes from the pay sacle groups and levels you entered in Basic pay.
Variant A- valualtion is based on the pay scale group & level
Variant B- valuation is based on the pay scale group/ level and specific wage type
Variant C- valuation does not depend on pay scale level
Variant D u2013 valuation does not depend on pay scale group or level
    WT2 --> Num
ans: for this you have to maintain the hour value or day value and then in Infotype 2010 you have ti enter the no,of days to calculate the monthly salary
    WT3 --> Amount = WT1WT2*
ans: PRZNT:- calculates certain wage types as a percentage of other wage types. It is based on how you set up the base wage type valuation table T539J
Variant B- we have to mention the base wage type ininfotype 8 on which the value of third wage type needs to be indirectly evaluated along with the %
Variant D- the value of wage type to be valuated is calculated by multiplying the basis pay by the percentage specified for the wage type to be valuated.
Variant I u2013 No need to maintain the base wage type in infotype 00008 on which the value of third wage type needs to indirectly valuated
experts correct me if i am wrong

    Hi Experts,
How can we find indirect evaluation wage types exist in the system ( including customer wage type).
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi,
All indirect SAP defined wage types starts with " / " (slash).
Indirect Cm wage types will be the name defined as per by the cm but should not start with slash..
Copy the SAP defined and use them.

  • How to use more than one indirect valuation module for the same wage type

Is it possible and how to use the u201CIndirect valuation based on master data: ICOMPu201D configuration to default the NUMBER and at the SAME TIME to use u201CDefine valuation of base wage types usingu201D to default the AMOUNT from one/two WTs ?

You can use the the same wage type for both number and amount but you can't assign 2 indirect valuation method for the same wage type at 1 time. I would rather suggest you to go for some customer specific indirect valuation instead of the standard one. You can use BAdI HR_INDVAL for the same.

  • Indirect evaluation, 2 change the default amount against a wagetype in IT8

    Hi Experts,
After providing the paysccale str in IT0008 the default wagetype for stipend is coming along with its amount (in change mode ) but when i am chnaging the amount and trying to save it the amount regains that default value. My requirement is I should be able to change the default amount comimg and then save it.
    How it is possible.
    Regards,

    Hi,
Go to table V_T511 for the wagetype. Tick the Rewritable field. This will allow your INVAL to be chnages in IT0008

  • How we evaluate indirect Wages ?

    Hi Experts
I have defined three wages types in Basic Pay
    1. Basic
    2. HRA
    3. Conveyance
in which i gave condition HRA should calculate indirectly through 50% of Basic. But while entering in the PA30 in infotype 0008 its giving error and need to enter values manually.
Is it necessary that indirect evaluation module PRZNT has to use to evaluate, As for Country Grouping 40(INDIA) i gave INVAL.

You have to maintain LGMST feature  and also u have to  Maintain default  wagetypes node  in Basicpay through SPRO.
Prior to that we have maintain the Wagetype model and to be assigned.
    Sairam.

  • P&F FPM module - PA0008 definition in hiring form

    Hi All,
we are implementing hiring process in P&F FPM scenario and we are getting trouble replicating the PA0008 wages type insertion logic.
In a custom generic service we have already defined the code how to determine all wages type ( reading LGMST feature and T539A table)  but we are in trouble to get all their amounts. Is there a standard way to obtain them? i already tried the standard event ( initialize / check) but it wasn't able to determine "indirect evaluation module wage type amount" and just a subtotal of them have been calculated.
    Any help?
    Really thanks in advance.

  • Can we calculate HRA using Indirect valuation

Can we calculate HRA using Indirect valuation/ summe/prznt.
    Pls let me know

Indirect Evaluation of Wage Types: Indirect Evaluation is a method to calculate the eligible amounts (default) for some of the wage types. INVAL is the Indirect Evaluation Module used to meet the Indian specific business requirements.  This helps in reducing data entry problems and administrative problems to Payroll Administrator.
Following are the different indirect valuation methods available in SAP:
INVAL A:  To default fixed amounts
INVAL B:  % on base wage type (s) + amount
INVAL C:  % on base wage type (s), subject to a maximum of some fixed amounts
INVAL D:  Default fixed amounts based on slabs applicable

  • Module name and module variant

What are module name and module variant?  what are its applications?

    Hi,
Name of a module that valuates wage types according to certain criteria. Modules can be similar to a wagetype group. The following descriptions of the diverse options can be used for wagetypes in the following infotypes:
Basic Pay (0008), Standard Wage Maintenance (0052), Recurring Payments/Deductions (0014), Additional Payments (0015)
For some modules, the type of valuation depends on the specification of the module variant.
Some of the indirect valuation modules available in the standard system are:
o   TARIF, PRZNT, ANSAL, INVAL etc.
These are mostly country dependent or industry dependent variants. In India mostly we use INVAL, also TARIF, according to the module requirement.
    For e.g.
INVAL - Indirect Evaluation Module Variant for India
There are four module variants for INVAL:
      1.  A - This calculates the value of the wage type as a fixed amount.
      2.  B - This calculates the amount as a percentage of a base wage type
added to a fixed amount. More than one such amount, with same or
different percentage of the base wage type, can be calculated for an
INVAL wage type. In this case, the amount that will be Indirectly
Evaluated will be the sum of all such calculated amounts, added to a
fixed amount. For example, for the wage type M230, the different
          INVAL B amounts are
          a)  10% of MB10
          b)  30% of M220
          c)  Fixed amount of Rs.1000
In this case, the INVAL amount for the wage type M230 will be the
          sum of a, b and c.
      3.  C - This calculates the amount as a percentage of a base wage type
subject to a maximum limit. More than one such amount, with same or
different percentage of the base wage type, can be calculated for an
INVAL wage type. In this case, the amount that will be Indirectly
Evaluated will be the sum of all such calculated amounts, subject to
a maximum limit. For example, for the wage type M230, the different
          INVAL C amounts are
          a)  10% of MB10
    b)  30% of M220
    c)  Limit of Rs.5000
In this case, the INVAL amount for the wage type M230 will be the
sum of a and b subject to a maximum of c.
    4. D - This calculates the amount as one or any combination of the
following INVAL Module variants based on Basic salary slabs:
    a)  Fixed amount
    b)  Percentage of a base wage type added to a fixed amount
    c)  Percentage of a base wage type subject to a maximum limit
In the SAP system, INVAL D can be configured as only INVAL B or C.
Once the percentage of the base wage type is calculated, the result
is multiplied with a factor. This resultant amount is then added to
fixed amount or is compared with a maximum limit. For example, the
INVAL module variant for the wage type M210, for an employee who
falls in the Basic Salary slab of Rs.10,000 - 12,000, is INVAL C.
    The INVAL amounts are:
    a)  10% of MB10
    b)  30% of M220
    c)  Multiplication factor of 50%
    d)  Limit of Rs.7000
In this case, the INVAL amount for M210 for the employee is the sum
of a and b, multiplied by c and the result is subject to a maximum
of d.  If you want to configure the wage type as a fixed amount for a
particular slab, the wage type is configured as INVAL B. In this
case, the percentage of the base wage type is multiplied with the
factor of 0% and then the fixed amount added to the result. For
example, the INVAL module variant for the wage type M230, for an
employee who falls in the Basic Salary slab of Rs.15,000 - 25,000,
is INVAL B. The INVAL amounts are:
    a)  100% of MB10
    b)  Multiplication factor of 0%
    c)  Fixed amount of Rs.5000
In this case, the INVAL amount for M230 for the employee is the
value of a, multiplied by b and the result added to c. In this case,
the INVAL amount will be the fixed amount of Rs.5000.
    regards.

  • Valuation Method for Indian Payroll

    Hi,
Can any one let me know the valuation method available in Indian Payroll.
As per my knowledge is concern I Know there are 4 valuations methods are there.
Can any one just provide me with name's of four valuation method.
    Thanks in Advance

    HAi..
INVAL - Indirect Evaluation Module Variant for India
There are four module variants for INVAL:
    1. A - This calculates the value of the wage type as a fixed amount.
    2. B - This calculates the amount as a percentage of a base wage type added to a fixed amount. More than one such amount, with same or different percentage of the base wage type, can be calculated for an INVAL wage type. In this case, the amount that will be Indirectly Evaluated will be the sum of all such calculated amounts, added to a fixed amount. For example, for the wage type M230, the different INVAL B amounts are
    a) 10% of MB10
    b) 30% of M220
    c) Fixed amount of Rs.1000
In this case, the INVAL amount for the wage type M230 will be the sum of a, b and c.
    3. C - This calculates the amount as a percentage of a base wage type subject to a maximum limit. More than one such amount, with same or different percentage of the base wage type, can be calculated for an INVAL wage type. In this case, the amount that will be Indirectly Evaluated will be the sum of all such calculated amounts, subject to a maximum limit. For example, for the wage type M230, the different INVAL C amounts are
    a) 10% of MB10
    b) 30% of M220
    c) Limit of Rs.5000
In this case, the INVAL amount for the wage type M230 will be the sum of a and b subject to a maximum of c.
    4. D - This calculates the amount as one or any combination of the following INVAL Module variants based on Basic salary slabs:
    a) Fixed amount
    b) Percentage of a base wage type added to a fixed amount
    c) Percentage of a base wage type subject to a maximum limit
In the SAP system, INVAL D can be configured as only INVAL B or C. Once the percentage of the base wage type is calculated, the result is multiplied with a factor. This resultant amount is then added to fixed amount or is compared with a maximum limit. For example, the INVAL module variant for the wage type M210, for an employee who falls in the Basic Salary slab of Rs.10,000 - 12,000, is INVAL C. The INVAL amounts are:
    a) 10% of MB10
    b) 30% of M220
    c) Multiplication factor of 50%
    d) Limit of Rs.7000
In this case, the INVAL amount for M210 for the employee is the sum of a and b, multiplied by c and the result is subject to a maximum of d.
If you want to configure the wage type as a fixed amount for a particular slab, the wage type is configured as INVAL B. In this case, the percentage of the base wage type is multiplied with the factor of 0% and then the fixed amount added to the result. For example, the INVAL module variant for the wage type M230, for an employee who falls in the Basic Salary slab of Rs.15,000 - 25,000, is INVAL B. The INVAL amounts are:
    a) 100% of MB10
    b) Multiplication factor of 0%
    c) Fixed amount of Rs.5000
In this case, the INVAL amount for M230 for the employee is the value of a, multiplied by b and the result added to c. In this case, the INVAL amount will be the fixed amount of Rs.5000.
